Derek Theler - His Early Life, His Works and His Popularity

Introduction

Giant, actor, and producer Theler is well-known for his roles as Sasquatch in '68 Whisky' and Danny Wheeler in 'Baby Daddy'. He is passionate about travel, vehicles, aircraft, animals, and the great outdoors. Derek also has type 1 diabetes, and he actively promotes diabetes awareness through groups like Dexcom and JDRF. His Personal Life

At age three, Theler received a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. He studied in Fort Collins, Colorado, at Colorado State University.

In May 2016, he began dating Lisa Marie Summerscales, an actress. Theler and Summerscales announced their engagement on Instagram in July 2022. September of the same year saw their marriage. He is enjoying his personal life peacefully.

His Early Work, and Rose to the Popularity

In 2009, Theler made his acting debut in a number of small roles in television shows, including The Hills, Cougar Town, and The Middle.

Theler acted as a model in TV commercials in between roles. 2009 saw him land his first Coke Zero commercial. After that, Derek Theler appeared in a State Farm commercial as a "hot guy" who was created by three women. In addition, he has appeared in ads for Verizon, Arby's, Nike, and Kayak.com.

In addition to his acting career, he wrote and served as executive producer for the short film Intrusion.

Theler played Danny Wheeler, the brother of the title character, in the ABC Family comedy Baby Daddy in 2012, which turned into his first big break.

Theler portrayed Riggins in the web series Project S.E.R.A. that same year.

His Recent Works, and Performances

After starring as Jake Kenman in the television movie "Secret Summer" in 2016, Derek went on to guest star in the hugely popular YouTube series "Princess Rap Battle." Additionally,Derek Theler made a breakthrough appearance in the web series "Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe" in 2018 as Aric Dacia/X-O Manowar. More recently, it was revealed that he will play Craig Hollis/Mister Immortal in the upcoming TV series "Marvel's New Warriors," which is set to premiere late in 2018.

Action Comics - Shout out to Matt Herms the colorist on this book. Looks good.

Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain - Making me interested in old and new Captain Britain stuff. Still excited to see Betsy in this role.

Blue Beetle - Never thought this would lead into an ongoing. Not sure how I feel about that yet. Especially since Jaime’s going off to college and somehow that makes me feel old.

Doctor Strange - Nightmare’s back! What a concept! However, this art is not my cup of tea. Not really working for me.

Green Arrow - Excited to see a Green Arrow book. Do I have high hopes for this book? No, but I follow people on this site who do. If there is one thing I would’ve liked is for this run to include Shado somehow. I mean, Peacemaker is here for whatever reason. Fingers crossed this is good and stays good.

Monica Rambeau - What a fun look at this character that deserves the world. The Roger Stern Avengers run is a good book to find some fun and engaging Monica Rambeau stories if you want more.

Sins of Sinister - Leading into Fall of X has me curious. Ghost Rider Galactus has me curious.

X-O Manowar - Worth another look at.
