Generation Hope was the first comic series I ever read issue by issue back in 2010. I am not exaggerating when I say I’ve been a Hope Summers superfan for 15 years.

I had read plenty of series before then in trades, but that was the first series I had a comic book store pull for me as it was published. I have a lot to say about the finale to the Krakoan era but for now I will say it was earned. Jeeeesus was it earned. The storylines weaving together in Immortal X-men, X-men Forever, and Weapon X-men…..just wow.

Hope Summers. I am actually still reading the event so this is a premature post, but holy smokes. It all makes sense. And I am content with that conclusion. And I am heartbroken, all the same. Really devastated. Amazing work, Dugan and Gillen et all.

X-Men Forever #3 Spoilers

Deleted my last post because I've had time to process the issue.

Hope hunting the Phoenix with Legion is fun, that might be cool, but there's just no time left. Hope not getting to actually say goodbye to Cable, especially since the era had very little of them interacting with each other sucked super hard and I'm so tired of this whole fucking thing.

Still, the religious angle makes me think they're going to kill her off so they can return to 0 for From the Ashes, and the idea of that sucks so hard I might cry. Hope is, by no small margin, my favourite of the Phoenix people (love Jean and Rachel, obvs, but Hope is just great).

I know we can let Gillen cook or whatever, but I'm getting kind of tired of being in the kitchen when I know the food is Kraft Mac and Cheese. I still can't believe "leaving everyone but the important people in the WHR" is their solution.

Also poor Kurt. Poor, poor, Kurt.
