16, 18, and 29 for the ask meme?
(The Ao3 Wrapped ask game post can be found over here!)
16. What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag?
Overall it's "humor" with 35 fics - I'm a jester by nature, I am - and just this year, it's "humor" and "pining" at a tie with 11. "Illustrations" is also second overall and third this year, because I so often add some art to my fics! (Thanks to this year's Yuletide/Christmas Exchanges spree I went on, "Gift Fic" is also pretty high up there...)
18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?
Hmmm.... that'll probably be a tie between legendary strategist Kongming in a fic for the anime Ya Boy Kongming!, which was dreadfully difficult to write because I know nothing about the Three Kingdoms and his stratagems, and yet had to write him as appropriately clever - and the other is Perry Rhodan, the lead of an obscure German scifi serial that has been running since the 60s. I wrote a fic for it as a gift to my girlfriend, and... well... Perry Rhodan is the FLATTEST Mary Sue you ever did meet in (at least the first volume of) canon. I practically had to reinvent the bastard entirely to make the fic compelling... and I doubt more than a dozen people will ever read the damn thing, anyway. Ah well. The things you do for love.
29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?
I never published it, but that Blackadder fic I was idly writing on in August/September has some gold bits. Here's one of my faves:
“No, Mr. B, I didn’t mean sod off as in you sod off.” Baldrick hurried to explain. “I mean sod off as in that bein’ my name!”
“Is it really?”
“Yeah. Sod-off Baldrick.”
“I see how you thought I already knew it, now.” Blackadder nodded to himself. “Is that the kind of first names your family goes in for, then?”
“Naaaah, everyone else got normal names, like Uncle Billy and Cousin Anna and my little niece, Raddish.” Baldrick smiled fondly to himself, as he always did when telling stories of that flea-ridden rabble he called family. “Though, come to think of it, my grandmother’s maiden name was Christina Getfucked.”
“Sounds like she was a lovely, virtuous woman.”
“Oh yessir. The best! I named a turnip after her.”
“Christina the Turnip?”
“Getfucked the Turnip.”
“Of course.”
Sometimes I randomly say "Getfucked the Turnip" out loud to myself, and giggle.
Thank you for the ask! <3

for the fandom year in review asks! - 1, 9, and and 19?
Oho, hi Panda! Thanks for the ask! <3
(Link to the Fandom Year In Review Ask post - and also the Ao3 Wrapped one I reblogged earlier this week, in case somebody wants to send in more asks for that one, too.)
1. Favourite fictional characters this year?
Gosh, the difficulty of choosing favourites... but if it's for the whole year, I think I'd have to choose some Vampire Dies In No Time characters. Probably Bob (whose actual name is Clergy), who has a special place in my heart, and the year. He first showed up in a flashback chapter at the beginning of the year, February I think, then I accidentally coined the fanon name "Bob" for him which haunted me all year (in a good way), and only at the start of this month, the author revealed that, instead of being dead as we all assumed, he was actually turned into a vampire and is living in the same town as all the other characters. I'm very happy for my boy, and that's why he's getting crowned my favourite.
9. Best new fandom discovery of the year?
Aside from the "Bob being alive" thing? Well, if I read this as "best new fandom I discovered", then it's The Sandman, hands-down, and specifically the kinkmeme softest-punk set up, which really drove my fic productivity up to previously unseen heights!
19. Fandom that made an unexpected comeback?
Don't know if that counts, but I rewatched Blackadder with some friends and it brought it back to my awareness, even wrote some idle fic for fun - and read an absolute masterpiece of a fic, and got another gifted for Yuletide!
(Alternatively, I've certainly seen Black Butler make a comeback on my Tumblr dash specifically, wonder who could've been responsible for that... ;3)

for the ask meme 2. and 4. (if 2 is hard to choose then you can append it to 14-16)
Hi Wyrmie! <3 Thanks for the ask!
(Link to the Fandom Year In Review Ask post - and also the Ao3 Wrapped one I reblogged earlier this week, in case somebody wants to send in more asks for that one, too.)
4. Favorite books read this year?
Hmm... I've partially read "Colour of Magic" by proxy because Luc was reading it and kept sending screenshots, and that gets pretty high billing simply by virtue of being by Sir Terry. Dishonourary mention to the first book of the Perry Rhodan series (a German scifi series), which was very interesting as a piece of Cold War literature, but also HORRIBLY misogynisty.
14.-16. Favorite m/f (and f/f, and m/m) ship of the year?
(I've decided to take you up on the split after ship types, so I can have a bit more variety!)
M/F: Now, technically, "M/F" is a bit reductive for them, but I think I'd go The Doctor/The Master from Doctor Who, in incarnations where their genders apply to this, particularly 13/Dhawan!Master (though 12/Missy is always a favourite of mine!)
F/F: Kerori/Gyari from Mairimashita! Iruma-kun! is always a delight, for all that there wasn't much content for them this year. There's also a number of fun F/F Vampire Dies ships, but I don't think I could choose just one from those!
M/M: I've kind of answered this for the other ask game - either Hob/Dream from The Sandman, or Kantarou/Nagiri from The Vampire Dies In No Time - honourary mention to Iruma/Azz from Mairimashita! Iruma-kun!, if there was an OT3 question I'd definitely choose Love Trio.

For the ask game, 9 and 7! ✨
(The Ao3 Wrapped ask game post can be found over here!)
9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?
Oh gosh, it's so hard to choose... I'm tempted to answer Dream/Hob from the Sandman, since I do enjoy that a lot and wrote plenty of fic about them, but if I'm honest... I'll go a bit more obscure and say it's Kantarou/Nagiri from The Vampire Dies In No Time, I wrote a 50k soulmate AU about them and still feel very passionate about it (there's identity shenanigans and angsty backstories and misunderstandings and everything, a truly delicious ship!)
7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most?
This one's a tie between Queen (a true classic, I've been making good use of them since my Good Omens fandom days) and Puccini, because I wrote a Turandot AU this year, which... made citing the opera practically inevitable, of course.
Thank you very much for the ask!

Tell me about One Day More and Written in the Stars pls? 🙏🏻💖
Written in the Stars: my entry for the GO RomCom event, based on the movie Ruby Sparks! I only ever got around to writing a first chapter to put out, but goodness, I had so many IDEAS. Crowley didn't even appear yet, written into existence by Aziraphale, but I was going to really show how he changes from Aziraphale's "dream man Anthony" to the more real Crowley... ah, one day I'll get back to it.
Fun fact! The premise was actually from an ancient Doctor Who 11/Amy/Rory idea I had!
One Day More: Les Mis reincarnation-ish AU I wrote years ago while I was studying for my history finals. Enjolras has been an immortal servant of the Spirit of Patria for thousands of years now, causing rebellions and revolutions wherever and whenever she commands, and getting very, very tired of it.
I finished Enjolras' storyline, and am actually quite proud of some of the stylistic choices and emotions evoked, but Grantaire's is only scraps and pieces, and the conclusion isn't even started... I do believe this fic is older than my Ao3 account, all in all! I only recently edited it a little.
Here's some very old art I drew for it!

[eyes zoom in on MewNIT] 👀 👀 👀
"Does hypnotism work on cats?" Jo asked, hopping up onto a lab table and dangling her legs off the side.
"Hypnotic control is only sustainable on low-intelligence lifeforms, so obviously not." The Master murmured, holding out his hand for the suddenly-docile cat to drop the wires into. "We're rather in luck this one used to be human."
"Hey!" Jo sort of liked the Master, the way one liked the absolutely ludicrous villains at the movies, but she wouldn't stand for her species being insulted, no siree. "You take that back! Doctor, aren't you gonna say anything?"
"Well... no." The Doctor shrugged, content to keep holding the Cat-alyst while the Master was inspecting the wires for teethmarks. "You see, Jo, it is a hypnological fact that humans are controllable and cats aren't. I'm sorry, my dear girl, but there's no arguing with science."
"In her defence, hypnology isn't an exact one, precisely."
"Must you always undermine me?"
"My dearest Doctor, I see it as my very purpose in life."
A Third-Doctor-era DW fic, in which the entirety of UNIT is turned very unfortunately into cats, and neither Jo nor the Master are any help whatsoever.
I have a soft spot for this one still, one day I’ll give it some semblance of an ending, I’m sure!

hi!! when you get this you can list 5 things that you like about yourself <3 then send this ask to 10 other followers you adore :)))
Oooooh, an ask game! Yay! (And thank you so much for thinking of me among all your followers <3 <3 <3)
Sooooo, things I like about myself, in no particular order...
1. My ability to read things quickly. A real lifesaver for uni, and great for reading as much fanfic as I possibly can!
2. The way I can reduce any cat to a purring mess in less than five minutes. It's a gift. I once sat in front of the cafeteria for ten minutes just petting the wild little campus cat, and she let me scratch her belly and all. I had to eat my lunch very quickly after that, but worth it. So worth it.
3. I'm very good at imitating writing styles, and it's a skill I'm very proud of! Though it's a bit of a double-edged sword, because I just know I'll never write as Pratchettian again as I did right after reading Good Omens - not unless I read the entire book again. Makes picking long-dormant WIPs up again very tricky, because I have to hit the right "voice" again... but no matter the shortcomings, it's still something I love!
4. I like my style of clothing! It took me a bit to find one that really felt like me, but now I've got one and I hear it makes me extremely recognisable! ;) Important items include vests, hats, tartan skirts, and a little pin-on watch.
5. And finally... hmm... I like that I made the decision to sign up for the GOBB 2019, because it's what put me on the path to meeting so many lovely people (<3) and to really start actively engaging in fandom. I don't know what person I'd be without that, so it was doubtlessly a good decision!
Thank you again for sending this to me, and, uh, sorry it took so long to respond...

SERPENT OF THE OPERA!!!
You've chosen one of my favourites, which is definitely on the shortlist for finishing! Think Phantom of the Opera, but Crowley is really just going through the motions of Phantoming because the League of Phantoms will pester him otherwise - and his chosen love, the opera house's bookkeeper Aziraphale, isn't exactly playing along with the classic spiel, either, too oblivious to realise he’s being wooed at all...
Here’s a snippet of the quarter-yearly L.o.P. inspection, conducted by Phantoms Hastur and Ligur:
"Next: Is your Company currently performing - or are you intending to make them perform soon - a work of your own making, e.g. opera, ballet, concert, musical, interpretative dance etcetera?"
Crowley grimaced. He knew he'd forgotten something.
"Yyyyyyeah." He said, with all the confidence of a man whose pants were currently on fire. "The, ngk, next one, next season, that's mine. Yes it is."
Hastur raised one rather grimy eyebrow.
Flipped a couple pages on his clipboard.
"The Magic Flute." He read from next season's playbill. "By W. A. Mozart."
Crowley's voice did the phonetic equivalent of smashing your head into your keyboard and just letting it wallow there for a while.
"...hbdfsdgngkkk. That's my pen name."
Hastur and Ligur stared at him.
Crowley began to sweat.
"I use 'Hastur La Vista' myself," Hastur nodded, and another checkmark was placed.

I am SO curious about How courtly love (has oft led me astray) and the anti-christmas carol (also hello I miss talking to you too ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜)
Oooh, you're in luck, Courtly Love is a bit of a 2-for-1 deal, because I've just put both of the two Ace Attorney WIPs I have into the same document!
The title refers to the first one, which features Edgeworth writing a diary, but because he's Edgeworth, it's absolutely unnecessarily old-fashioned, and kind of reads vaguely Jane-Austen-ish. The fic is half period-romance-style reiterations of the canon events, and half the tale of said diary accidentally getting published as a romance novel, and Phoenix Wright very quickly figuring out both the identity of the anonymous author, and the Mr. Darcy of the book, only ever referred to as "W."...
W. is with me. He has clasped my hand in his as we waited for the adjourning of court, has promised me salvation with the earnest fervour of one blind to the stain upon my wretched soul. As I write, he is writing too, notes upon notes as he prepares my case.
I do not understand, now, why I ever thought ill of him. Heaven help me, he is a good man, a better one than I, and I should be so grateful to have connived my way into his favour, that he would be my patient friend for oh so many years of separation and now keep faith with me throughout it all.
I have nobody on this earth save him, his trust, his friendship, and that I do not deserve.
Should I be found guilty of the most heinous patricide - as no doubt I will - I must find some way to let him know the extent of my gratitude, and what singular meaning he has always had in my life.
May come to me what will; only W. must know that I do not fault him, and count him among the few blessings life has been so kind as to award me. Alas, if we had only had more time, I might have-
They call for us. May I be judged as harshly as I have judged others.
W., forgive me.
The other Ace Attorney fic in the file I wrote around Halloween, it's a canon-style legal drama and investigation, but set in the Spirit World, with all of humanity on trial. Also somewhat inspired by Nightmare Before Christmas!
"Your Honour, assembled spirits, Mr. Edgeworth sir, I present my evidence." Wright drew himself up to full height, blue flames blazing in his eyes and spilling over onto his brow and cheekbones. "This is a human weapon, without a doubt, though carefully modified to kill a spirit - observe, the warding and weakening sigils etched into the metal of the barrel, as well as the curse field over the magazine." He tossed the weapon to Edgeworth, who handed it over to The Judge to inspect.
"Now. Mr. Edgeworth." Wright continued, turning back to Gregory’s shade. "As an expert on the matter, I will ask you: do humans generally believe that supernatural beings exist?"
And, finally: An Antichristmas Carol is a Good Omens Christmas Carol retelling with Aziraphale as the grumpy old miser visited by three ghosts one night. I’ve actually published two chapters of it already on the Christmases of 2019 and 2020, having Aziraphale meet all three ghosts, but the resolution on Christmas Day is still left... but I’m confident I’ll conclude it by the end of 2021.
"Mr. Fell!" The girl exclaimed in shock; but, still chuckling, Aziraphale drew forward and took her hand in his, doffing his hat and bowing to kiss the air above her knitted lace gloves.
"Cherished Miss Device!" He beamed - and oh, she hardly recognised him then! How changed his face by the warmth of a smile! "What joy, to see you again - I beg forgiveness for the shameful conduct that was your welcome yesterday, it was most ill done of me. But the wool has lifted from my eyes, and a shadow from my soul! I have seen the errors of my ways, and shall spend all my earthly years with amend-making - Ah, where is my head! Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas, my dear, and let it be a joyful one! - may we enter?"
Both with Courtly Love and the Antichristmas Carol, I’m really proud of managing to write vaguely Austen-ish/Dickensian, it really adds to the mood! (Though... it also makes it quite difficult to pick them up again, because I first need to get back into the right “voice”...)
^-^ <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 (and <4 for good measure)
