The Raw Tag Team Title match is up first with Cole noting that New Day’s held the titles for a record 483 days. It looks like a packed house in Pittsburgh as we were welcomed to the show by Michael Cole. There were police cars as part of the video since the show is called Roadblock after all. The opening video package set up the biggest matches of the show. The Kickoff Panel of Renee Young, Booker T and Sam Roberts did some final hype for the Roadblock event. It protected both guys while also doing a finish that suggests the rivalry will continue. It was pretty bad with Cass on offense the whole time, Lana and Rusev outsmarting them and getting the countout win. If you're only getting five minutes and they put a break in there then it shows that maybe the company doesn't have faith in your match being good. Rusev back in the ring, Cass was counted out and that’s it after about five minutes.Īnalysis: 1/2* A short match that was more of an angle than a match. Lana shoved Enzo, so Rusev punched Enzo in the back of the head. Rusev went over the barricade, so Cass followed him. Rusev bailed to the floor to avoid another attack. Cass was on offense the entire match up to this point. Big Cass (w/Enzo Amore)Ĭass knocked Rusev out of the ring and about one minute into the match they went to a commercial shilling WWE Network stuff.īack from the break, Cass hit the slam and the elbow drop followed by a corner splash. There was a pre-match promo from Enzo & Cass prior to the match, so Enzo is back after taking off last week’s Raw to sell the beating from Rusev a couple of weeks ago. The announcers for the show are the usual Raw team of Michael Cole, Byron Saxton and Pittsburgh’s own Corey Graves. I wasn’t able to catch it live, but I did make a point to catch the Kickoff Match so let’s start with that. The 6'5" shooting guard averaged 6.0 points in 46 games as a rookie, but he shot 38.1 percent from three-point range on 4.1 attempts per contest. It's time for WWE Roadblock: End of the Line from Pittsburgh, PA.

Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan replaced McMahon as co-CEOs, plus Stephanie was named chairwoman. Since then, McMahon has retired amid a WWE board of directors investigation into allegations that he paid millions of dollars in hush money to former female WWE employees in exchange for their silence about sexual misconduct. Reports of a transition to TV-14 first surfaced when Vince McMahon was still serving as the CEO, chairman and head of creative for WWE. The product remained TV-14 for the next 11 years before getting changed back to PG in 2008 to appeal to a younger audience and appease sponsors. WWE initially switched to a TV-14 rating in 1997, which was the start of arguably the most successful time in pro wrestling history, known as the Attitude Era. To this point, all WWE programming remains PG. Meltzer noted that the memo was sent out early and that it was unclear when the changes would take effect.

Xavier Woods & Big E fuel rumors they’re quitting WWE with latest Twitter posts
A candid moment following Kofi Kingston’s crushing Gauntlet Match loss saw Big E & xXavier Woods, frustrated after Mr. McMahon threw a wrench in Kofi’s WrestleMania dreams at the end of a grueling Gauntlet Match, throwing out the idea of quitting WWE to their hurting friend. After all, it seemed that no matter what Kingston did, the WWE Chairman would just throw another roadblock in his path.

Asuka's gonna kill you.
Out of everything that happened last night at TLC: Tables Ladders and Chairs, the most predictable outcome was that of Asuka's main roster debut match. Emma lost to the former NXT Women's Champion. But there's little shame in that; everybody loses to Asuka. She is currently undefeated in WWE singles matches; back in May 2017, she broke Goldberg's 173-win undefeated streak (Goldberg reached out on Twitter to praise her). And for anyone who's seen how hard she kicks and how utterly creepy her game face is, it's no wonder she managed it.
Here are the women who have the best chance of putting Asuka down for the count. Because all streaks come to an end; just ask The Undertaker. But it won't happen anytime soon, and when it does happen, it'll be on a massive stage. Empress of Tomorrow indeed.
Nia Jax
Up until a week ago, Jax would have been one of the most likely to break the streak. She's physically dominant, and she's right on the edge of clinching gold. She's body positive on social media. She's got the bloodlines because she's The Rock's cousin. But she reportedly walked out on Raw, which--rumor has it--was due to her unhappiness with creativity. According to Randall Ortman of CagesideSeats, she wanted to be the one who fought Asuka at TLC. And WWE doesn't take well to an employee who refuses to jump when the company tells her to.
Bayley
Again, not too long ago, this would be a different conversation. Bayley was the most beloved babyface coming out of NXT. But then, the Raw writers didn't book her into anything compelling. She lost a whole lot of steam. And on top of that, she's already lost to Asuka twice. At one point, an Asuka defeat would have been a Cinderella story for Bayley. Now, it's a little too late. Bayley needs to build herself back up again before rehashing this feud.
Nikki Cross
Nikki Cross isn't on the main roster yet--she's still in NXT. But when she finally gets there, she has a small chance of dethroning the Empress. Cross stands out because she is so radically different from every other woman on the roster, what with her rope biting and unhinged body language. She already has a high profile loss against Asuka: they fought in a Last Woman Standing match this past June. But despite that loss, Cross is hardcore tough in a way that many of the other women are not. She's a dark horse pick.
Alexa Bliss
One thing this past year taught us is that fans should never underestimate Little Miss Bliss. First, she held the Smackdown women's title. Now, she's holding the Raw women's title. And how has she managed that, despite being being shorter and weighing less than everyone else on the roster? She did it by being smart. By dodging at the right time, so her opponent goes crashing into the ringpost. By picking her spots and exploiting them to the best of her ability. Unfortunately, that may not be enough to believably defeat Asuka. One hellacious kick, and Bliss will be finished. Moving on.
Sasha Banks
Banks is, aside from Asuka herself, the most talented female performer currently on the main roster. Other wrestlers have better athleticism and better technical chops, but Banks possesses masterful ring psychology. The problem is that The Boss is currently a babyface, which is not her strength. Her heel character, on the other hand, is a veritable heat magnet, and it’s through that character that Banks does her best, most believable work. That version of Sasha Banks could beat Asuka. But until she turns bad, she has little to no chance.
Kairi Sane
The winner of the Mae Young Classic, Sane has made some massive waves in a short amount of time. She’s already famous in her native Japan, and she has the best elbow drop in the business; she’s fairly small, but she throws her whole body into the windup of the move. She’s positioned herself as a future champion on NXT, and a win against Asuka would be believable under the right circumstances. The only roadblock is the time factor; Sane will be a member of NXT for the foreseeable future. And by the time she moves up to the main roster, it might be too late to go through the process of first building her name recognition, and then giving her such a prominent win.
Charlotte Flair
The true star of the women’s division, Flair is the obvious, no-brainer choice to finally topple Asuka’s streak. She’s the most decorated out of all the women. She has the height, athleticism, and prowess to make it believable. And she’s got the Flair genes, which means that the fans would accept the outcome; if Asuka loses, she needs to lose to the best.
A big question mark, strangely enough, is Flair’s finisher, the figure-eight leglock. Asuka would have to tap out to lose to Flair, and after the way she’s been built up, it’s difficult to imagine Asuka tapping out to anything. Flair’s other finisher, the Natural Selection, won’t get the job done either.
Still, it’s always a poor idea to bet against Flair. And she has some time to build up to her win (or find a suitable finisher). Flair is currently on SmackDown, and either Asuka or Flair needs to switch brands to make this dream match happen.
Ember Moon
And lastly, we come to the woman who, if we’re being honest, should have already handed Asuka her first loss. Ember Moon took Asuka to her limit twice, on two different occasions. One of those times, at NXT TakeOver Orlando, Asuka had to push the referee into the ropes in order to preserve her perfect record.
The two women’s second encounter at NXT TakeOver Brooklyn III was even better than the first encounter. Moon scored multiple near pinfalls on Asuka; despite walking away with the win, Asuka had never been more challenged. And it was during this match that Asuka injured herself, forcing her to vacate the NXT women’s title. She then moved to Raw, undefeated, which brings us to the current day.
Out of everyone on WWE's payroll, Moon deserves to beat Asuka the most, and she's the most likely to do so, eventually. She’s a powerhouse in her own right and a future star in the making. But since Moon is still in NXT, this second rematch won’t happen any time soon. And until then, we can look forward to the weeks and possibly months of Asuka-driven dominance to come.

11/6/17 Fact or Fiction
1. You are excited for Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar. FICTION - How many times have we hoped that a Lesnar match would deliver on everything we hoped it would be...only to sit through another lazy German spamfest where the opponents get nothing? Let's start with the Rollins farce at Battleground 2015, the Ambrose shambles at WM💩, and him squashing Wyatt & Harper at Roadblock. That alone is a reason for not getting my hopes up, because if Brock doesn't want to play you may as well play WWE 2K17 online against someone who only does running grapples, because that's as entertaining as Lesnar's matches are when he's got two eyes on the pay window.
2. WWE’s booking of Bayley on the main roster has simply been bad. FACT - Either somebody in Creative took one look at Bayley and thought that having a likeable character that appeals to all manner of demographics while also having a built-in storyline for any title chase wasn't working and it would be a better idea to make her act like a complete jerk who makes Sting look like Stephen Hawking, or Creative have merely decided to book Bayley like Any Other Diva and it's been a horrendous fit that's done nothing for her and actively caused her to regress.
3. It’s rumored that WWE will fill the 32-woman field for the Mae Young Classic with at least 10 developmental talents that aren’t part of the regular NXT programming; you think that this is a good plan. FACT - Consider some of the people at the Performance Center who aren't part of NXT programming: Kimber Lee (or whatever her NXT name will be), Mandy Rose, Sarah Logan, Lacey Evans, MaryKate - that's a pretty good lineup right there.
4. The WWE UK Series will be a bigger success than 205 Live. FACT - Among the many, many problems with 205 Live is how WWE presents the entire roster as space occupiers on Raw, so it's no surprise that there isn't an audience for the show. With the UK show there's at least the chance that they can find an audience as we don't have WWE's flagship show giving the potential audience a reason to not give a damn every single week.
5. Considering the overwhelming mount of talent WWE has under contract, and the fact that they are always looking for more WWE network content, you would be interested in WWE running a tournament with a group of the extra 205 Live/NXT/UK and main roster guys not being used. FACT - Not only would this add a lot of extra content to the Network, but it also leads to all manner of potential feuds and storylines. For example, winning the tournament would give Cedric Alexander a boost ahead of him challenging Neville for the Cruiserweight title, Gargano could have a good run before he's eliminated due to a returning Ciampa getting involved, Killian Dain can have a monster run...you get the general idea.
6. In your opinion, who is the most underutilized member of the WWE roster and why? Austin Aries - The guy could walk into the upper midcard of either Raw or SD this coming week and wouldn't miss a step due to his in-ring ability as well as mic and character skills, and he'd be a credible contender for the IC/US titles the moment he's given a chance - but instead he's stuck in the Cruiserweight division and being wasted as a result.

WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Date, Match Card, Rumors, and More
Ah, it’s almost time. The new year has begun. It’s January. That means we’re on course for WWE Royal Rumble 2017! A handful of matches will happen, only to be overshadowed by the best gimmick match WWE has to offer! It’s the show that takes the edge off being done with the holidays.
This will be the 30th edition of Royal Rumble, which is fitting. The first Royal Rumble was a televised cable event in 1988, featuring a 20-man over-the-top-rope Rumble. It became a PPV with a 30-man match the year after. In 1992, the match was for the vacated WWF Championship. After that, it became a match for a guaranteed WrestleMania title shot. That is, except for 2016, where the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was on the line.
While it’s arguably the PPV to look forward the most each year, it’s also known as the first stop on the Road to WrestleMania.
WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Date
When is Royal Rumble 2017?
The show will take place on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Location.
This is happening at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. This is notable for housing the 1997 Royal Rumble, won by Steve Austin. Also worth mentioning is that the Saturday before will give us NXT TakeOver: San Antonio.
How To Watch WWE Royal Rumble 2017
30-MAN ROYAL RUMBLE MATCHWinner Becomes #1 Contender for WWE World Championship or WWE Universal ChampionshipKnown entrants (10): Bill Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Chris Jericho, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Seth Rollins, The Undertaker
The namesake and selling point of the PPV comes in the form of a 30-man battle royal where every entrant is a random draw. Every minute and a half or so, a new person enters and they can only be eliminated via going over the top rope. Former winners include Steve Austin, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Undertaker, Batista, he-who-shall-not-be-named-due-to-racism, and he-who-shall-not-be-named-due-to-murder.
As it is right now, the big story is that Goldberg and Lesnar will be involved. At Survivor Series, Goldberg made a return match against Lesnar and to everyone’s surprise, he destroyed him within a minute and a half. Goldberg then decided that he wanted to try for one more title reign and entered himself into the match. In response, an emotional Paul Heyman claimed that Lesnar would enter as well to get revenge on that Survivor Seriesmassacre.
On an episode of Raw, the New Day announced that they would enter the Rumble as part of their New Year's resolution. The same episode had Chris Jericho drop the bombshell that he'd be in it as well as Braun Strowman showing up to claim his spot. On SmackDown, during the contract signing between Cena and Styles, Baron Corbin showed up to announce his Rumble spot.
Seth Rollins made his participation known on the following Raw, soon overshadowed by the Undertaker, who also intends to appear in the match.
KEVIN OWENS (C) VS. ROMAN REIGNSWWE Universal Championship, Chris Jericho Suspended Over the Ring in a Shark Cage
For months and months, Kevin Owens has been able to retain his Universal Championship thanks to the help of his BFF Chris Jericho. For a while, it looked like the two were on the outs, but Jericho showed his true colors by attacking Owens at Roadblock and giving him a disqualification victory. As the two boasted about their friendship the next night on Raw, Mick Foley appeared to tell them that Owens would have to defend the title against Reigns once again, this time with Jericho suspended over the ring in a cage.
Basically, it's a way for them to hype up that new action figure set.
In the lead-up, Roman has cleanly defeated Owens and Jericho each on his own. Then the two of them fought him in a handicap match (just because) and Jericho got the pin, making him the United States Champion.
AJ Styles (C) vs. John CenaWWE World Championship
The rivalry between John Cena and AJ Styles has gone on for much of 2016, but rested itself after Styles' decisive victory at SummerSlam and again when Styles retained his title at No Mercy against both Cena and Dean Ambrose. Cena went off to do Hollywood stuff while Styles went on to feud with Ambrose and James Ellsworth.
Styles came out on top in the end and followed up with a successful title defense against Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. After the match, Cena appeared to offer his hand and demand a title shot. Hesitantly, Styles took him up on it and shook his hand. A week later, the two signed the contract and cut some nice promos on each other.
CHARLOTTE (C) VS. BAYLEYWWE Raw Women's Championship
In-between the constant title switches with Sasha Banks, Charlotte's had to deal with upbeat upstart Bayley over the last couple months. Bayley's won a couple of non-title matches against Charlotte, though one was with some controversy. Charlotte offered a match for a spot at #1 contender, but she had Dana Brooke as the referee and Bayley couldn't overcome the odds.
Instead, Bayley had to defeat Nia Jax to earn the title shot. Jax was briefly distracted by Sasha Banks, which allowed Bayley to take her down with a Bayley-to-Belly off the second rope.

WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Rumors
One of the feuds being built up around this time is Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax. After losing her title yet again to Charlotte, Sasha came to the ring on a crutch to cut a promo. Jax interrupted and kicked the crutch away before beating her down. A week later, she destroyed an opponent who looked up to Sasha as a hero. Then she took on Bayley and lost due to Sasha's distraction.
Sheamus and Cesaro vs. The Club might be in the cards. Having moved away from the New Day, the unlikely tag champs have clashed with the Club. Karl Anderson defeated Cesaro in a singles match, so expect these two teams to fight it out at the Rumble. Hard to say whether Sheamus and Cesaro would get spots in the Rumble match itself.
