The Rainbow Sky

One day, the sky above the Kai Empire lit up with unprecedented colors. The priests prostrated themselves before the image of the four dragons goddesses descended from the rainbow-colored sky. Dragons ordered to bring them the most innocent child that citizens are able to find, and their request was fulfilled. Just born baby girl was laid on the altar.

"The body of that girl will serve as prison for the Black Dragon, that carries destruction. The soul of that girl will fetter the Black Dragon, that is poisonous for hearts of those who surround him," said the goddesses. "This vessel should be protected from the darkness of the world, as well as the world must be guarded against the darkness that now is imprisoned within her."

To protect the baby girl the dragon goddesses chose four young shrine maidens and offered them a drink of dragon's blood that gives supernatural powers, but warned them that even they can not predict what those powers will be. The shrine maidens accepted the divine offer.

Blood of the red dragon gave magical voice capable of both to lull and to kill, it can be heard for miles around. Blood of the orange dragon gave strong flexible body that knows no fatigue. Blood of the navy blue dragon gave a special sensitivity to the hearts and minds of others. Blood of the magenta dragon gave the ability to dance so well, so mesmerizing that the heavens themselves froze in awe.
