#Wrestling AU: The Even More Dysfunctional Family

This uh- this involves the AU that I made- I call it The Even More Dysfunctional Family AU where uh BoD adopts Daniel essentially and he becomes a new brother of destruction p much, its all kayfabe stuff (I never do anything o u t of kayfabe) and it might not be fully canon to the lore of both Kane and Taker BUT I just decided to put my own twist on things either way so shh

TWs: Fire, Death, literally burning alive p much, and overall just sad feelings and very big emotions

Daniel’s been curious about what happened to Taker and Kane as kids, he also feels awkward in joining them by visiting the grave of their parents, he feels as though he shouldn’t, he doubts they would have even accepted him as a son if they were alive... Little does Daniel know is he’s about to find out things he’s been wanting to know and more...

“Daniel! Come on, let’s go!” He heard Kane yell out and he yelled back “Just give me one more second! Gosh…” The bearded man rolled his eyes as he finished adjusting his outfit, he didn’t want to wear his normal attire going to well, where t h e y were going… He felt like it’d be disrespectful in a weird sort of way, especially considering he hadn’t been with the infamous brothers of destruction for too long… Undertaker had pretty much the perfect outfit for going to places like this, it felt fitting, Kane just wore what he always wore… Even the mask over his face but Daniel understood why, at least on that front. Daniel had felt like he didn’t deserve to go with them at first, not to the graveyard, not where their parents were buried, because hell… Daniel never got to meet them, he knows a bit about their history but not too much… And asking Taker or Kane is like talking to a brick wall, no emotions, no feelings, and nothing much said so Daniel never tried to push it, it wasn’t in his place anyways, if they wanted to tell him he knew they would.

…Still, Daniel couldn’t help his curiosity, he had always wondered just how and why they turned out in the ways they did, now don’t get him wrong… He loves his newfound brothers! He loves them just the way they are and he would never change them or their ways but whatever happened must’ve really messed them up inside and out… And then Kane’s voice called out from the doorway “Daniel?” That made the man jump and turn around to face the masked man who had his arms crossed “Are you… Er… Alright? I was talking to you and you didn’t uh, respond or anything…” And that’s when Daniel realized, he had gotten pretty lost in thought about that, the man sighed “Sorry, I uh, y-yeah I’m fine… I was just thinking about things…” He still felt like he didn’t deserve to go, he felt it was going to be awkward but both Taker and Kane insisted, it’s only fair that he at leasts gets to meet them in the only way he can now.

Kane nodded at that “Come on, the deadman’s already outside, he’s going to leave without us if you don’t hurry up” Daniel sighed and nodded “Okay, I’m ready, just had to fix my uh, clothes…” Kane once again nodded and began to walk off, Daniel slowly trailing behind him as the two headed out the door, and there was The Undertaker, standing there, he seemed to be a bit impatient “Well… It’s about time, what took you so long, boy?” Daniel looked down “I uh, had to… Fix my clothing, so it wouldn’t, it wouldn’t have wrinkles in it?” Taker could sense Bryan’s nervousness and he walked over, gently placing a hand on the other’s shoulder, it still made Bryan jump, he looked toward the deadman and it felt very strange to feel such a gentle touch from him “Look… I know you're nervous, I know you said you feel like you won’t fit in and it’d be awkward to go up there… But, both me and Kane feel that it’s only fair… You should meet them, at least in some way, they’d be just as much your parents as they were ours, you know?” Daniel blinked, he was stunned and didn’t know what to say, he looked over to Kane who was nodding along.

Daniel was silent, he didn't know what to say or what he even could say so the deadman then turned around after patting the man’s shoulder “We should… Hurry, the sun is beginning to set now…” That’s another thing, they both wanted to wait until the evening time, now Daniel figured that was just because maybe the incident happened at a certain time at night on this day, which would make sense, but before he could continue to get lost in his thoughts he trailed after Kane and Taker, staying in behind them for the most part, he was just looking down to the ground as he walked, just thinking about this whole thing, sometimes he’d glance up at Taker and Kane as they walked in perfect sync with each other actually, it was a slow walk, but it was a rare sight to see them walk fast or especially run. Daniel then began to think, he wondered what their parents had looked like, now sure he knew what Paul Bearer had looked like but he wasn’t… Exactly… Well, y-you know… Either way, he knew that bit of history there, Kane didn’t seem to mind too much but Taker had an absolute scowl on his face at the mention of Paul.

Daniel uh, doesn’t think he wanted to meet Paul too much either way, he remembers seeing mere glimpses around of that man and needless to say he looked pretty creepy… The walk was long, even longer with the slow pace these two took but eventually they made it there, and tonight was a full moon, there were some clouds but it merely looked like smoke in front of the moon, it felt eerie around this place… This is the first time Daniel had ever gone to the graveyard and that’s when he noticed… This… This graveyard, it had no lights first and foremost, the only way Daniel could see is when the two brothers turned on their flashlights (they mostly did it for Bry bc im sure they could very much find their way around that graveyard even in pitch black darkness) The place looked to be in pretty rough condition and that’s when Daniel realized… This Graveyard, it had been abandoned, abandoned for a LONG time in fact… The Graves were all unkempt, some were even broken, old flowers wilting away, pots broken, and then the grass and many plants had overgrown and taken this area hostage.

Overall the place looked like it hadn’t been touched in a very long time, that was until they got to one particular gravesite, two tombstones right next to each other… Daniel peered out from behind the two, looking at the graves a bit closer, it read off their parents’ names… This was the only patch right here that was well taken care of, and then Bryan noticed the tombstones were cracked, as if they had been broken before “Wh-What happened there…?” He whispered, not wanting to be too loud and then he noticed Kane looked away shamefully, Taker glancing toward him, it was silent for a moment before Kane spoke up “...I broke them… It was a really long time ago, I came here with Paul and we… We…” Kane clenched his hand into a fist, he seemed angry but more so at himself “...We smashed them, and then set them on fire…” Daniel looked shocked at this, jeez… Okay NOW he understood why Taker seemed to hate Paul Bearer at the very least… Taker said nothing, he merely stared at Kane who shot him a sorrowful glance back, that seemed to take the deadman off guard, he had held a slight grudge against Paul and even Kane for that but… Seeing the guilt, it made his expression somewhat change.

It looked softer, and then Kane sighed, looking down toward the graves “...I’m sorry…” The Undertaker said nothing for a moment, he then placed a hand on Kane’s shoulder, it was extremely awkward for these two to show any kindness or affection toward each other…

They hadn’t done so in decades, in fact… Neither one of them can remember the last time they shared any care or affection between each other, it had to have been when they were young kids, somewhere there… Even something as simple as a hand on the shoulder felt awkward, and he had felt Kane tense up at that but then the two shared a look before glancing down to the graves, Daniel now standing somewhat off to the side, he didn’t want to get in between the two during this moment, he stared down at the graves, keeping silent now, all three of them were silent, just simply paying respects to the dead… Daniel felt awkward still, like he didn’t fit in here at all, but he knew nothing about their parents, he didn’t even ever feel like he could call them his own, he has no idea if they would even accept him as their child if they were still around, sure Kane and Taker might have already taken him in as a new brother but their parents could have just turned him away…

It was silent for the longest time before Taker looked over at Daniel, who shared a glance back at him, and that’s when Bryan had to suppress a gasp… Now sure, Daniel has seen Kane cry before, it was extremely rare but he has seen Kane cry, and he has been there for him even if sometimes it was against his better judgment, but this was the first time he had ever seen tears on the deadman’s face, he didn’t figure he’d ever see Taker cry in his entire life but here he was, tonight, just tears cascading down his face, he cleared his throat and then spoke slowly, trying not to stutter “...She would have loved you, you know that Daniel?” Bryan blinked, he tried not to stare at Taker’s face too long even if he was in shock “...You think so?” Taker nodded “...I know so, both our parents would have loved you…” Kane nodded at this, just standing shoulder to shoulder with his brother, not looking at anything but the graves, this shocked Daniel even more, well he wouldn’t doubt that then, Taker should know more than anyone…

And then Kane sighed “...I can’t even remember what my own mother looks like… …The most I remember is that she was very nice, kind, soft, gentle, and caring…” He admitted, Taker sighing, wiping his eyes with his sleeve as he looked toward Kane, Daniel was shocked to see another side from the two of them tonight but he didn’t say anything, he merely watched as the two embraced each other, man… Coming here really brought out an entirely new side of these two, one Daniel had never fully seen, not… Not like THIS anyways… They didn’t hug for too long though, both breaking away from each other and then turning away “...We miss you” Taker began and then Kane spoke up “We’ll always miss you…” The two then both simultaneously told them to rest in peace and with that they began to walk, however Daniel stayed behind for a moment, now standing in front of the graves, looking over the both of them, after a bit, Kane noticed and looked back, calling out for Daniel “Are you coming or what?”

Daniel turned and shook his head “Uh, no, actually… I’ll catch up with you two later, promise, I know how to get back to the house so just uh, g-go on…” This confused the two but they didn’t question him too much, just told him not to stay out TOO late… Daniel nodded and said he wouldn’t before looking back to the graves, now he was alone… In this eerie abandoned graveyard, well, half-abandoned… Bryan wasn’t even sure why he stayed behind, he felt as if something compelled him to stay as he knelt down to the graves, looking over their names, this felt… Awkward, he should’ve gone home with those two but he didn’t, something compelled him to stay and he needed to figure out what it was, he just kept staring at the graves…

Searching for something, anything… A sign of some kind of what compelled him to stay behind like this “...I guess they care a lot for you… Huh?” He glanced at their mother’s grave now “...I wasn’t around for anything that happened, they just… Took me in not even that long ago, but… I can tell they care a lot about you guys huh?” And then there was a pause, god, he would’ve probably looked like a crazy person had anyone been around “...I wish I knew what happened to them, what happened to you, what happened in general… …I wish I could meet you as well…” There was silence, which of course there was, what was Daniel truly expecting, he sighed and stood up and that’s when he felt dizzy “Ugh… Jeez, o-okay, that’s… That’s new…” The dizziness was so bad that Daniel had to actually sit down, beside the grave, he felt like the world was spinning extremely fast right now, he groaned and rubbed at his head and then he froze upon hearing a voice, he couldn’t look around right now because of the dizziness but he was sure he just heard a voice.

And then it was confirmed, he heard a soft voice calling out his name, a gentle soft spoken voice called out to him and now he should be scared of this, he knew he should but this voice, it didn’t sound like any kind of threat… It didn’t sound like it was trying to threaten him, and then it went dark… After a bit, Daniel awoke with a gasp, he stood up immediately and began to spin around, looking at his surroundings but yet… He saw nothing, it was a pitch black void that had swallowed him up, there was nothing and nobody around and if it hadn’t been for his own heavy breathing, the silence would be deafening… Bryan got into a fighting stance when he heard a voice call out behind him, spinning around to see who might be going to attack him, however his eyes widened when he saw a lady, staring at him, a soft smile on her face, she had a literal glow to her body, she looked to be wearing a long purple dress and that was the most Daniel could see, his body relaxed somewhat and he got back into a normal stance “...W-Who are y-you…?”

The lady gently spoke up “Hello Daniel… My name is Eliza, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you more properly…” Before Bryan could speak up “I know… You are very confused, allow me to explain dear… I brought you here for many reasons… But I should tell you who I am more specifically… I am both little Taker and Kane’s mother… I’ve watched over them for as long as I can remember now… And I’ve never seen them like this before… Before you came along, things between them had always been so very complicated but it seems like… You’ve really begun to help my two boys… And for that, I thank you… Now the next thing I should say…” Eliza gracefully waltzed over, almost like she was floating in fact and she gently cupped Daniel’s face in her hands, it was so strange, this was all so much for Bryan to process, and it should have felt unnerving to feel her hands on his face like that, but they were so warm and so gentle…

“Taker was right… Me, and my husband, we both accept you as our own… You needn’t worry yourself or doubt such a thing… Both my boys have accepted you as their brother already and you’ve helped them so much, even if you may not think it or know it… And for that, we have to thank you…” And then her husband appeared, wearing a similar outfit to Taker’s and then Daniel began to see where he got his style from and favorite colors… He had a similar expression to Taker, a hardened look for a moment before he smiled “She’s right, boy… We accept you, we want you to always remember that… Son…” Daniel was in such shock at this.

He couldn’t move or speak and then Eliza gently chuckled “Yes son… Even if we might not be on the same plane of existence as you, even if we might have passed on… We still love you, love you as our son, and your brothers love and care about you very much as well… They might not admit it out loud but we can tell…” Daniel almost felt tears pricking his eyes at that, to which Eliza gently took a hand and wiped them away, her husband walking over and giving Daniel a pat on the shoulder, Daniel then looked at the both of them “I… Th-Thank you… I appreciate… That…” That gives him some closure on one front, but now he had questions, he wanted to ask but then he thought it might be rude, I mean some of those questions involved the incident… So he shouldn’t- “...Daniel, sweetie… I know you are curious about what happened…” …Ask… Well okay, that’s… “I-I’m sorry, I shouldn’t… That’s-” Before he could speak, Eliza shushed him “Shh… I promise, we aren’t offended or upset, I mean… Curiosity is a natural thing for everyone…”

And then she got more serious “But, honey… I can’t sugarcoat any of this, this won’t be a pleasant thing to view, it might even scar you… And we really don’t want to do that, I would never want to scar one of my own children… But if you REALLY wish to see, then I’ll grant you that wish…” Daniel thought about it for a bit, he had been wanting to know what happened so badly, he had wanted to know the truth and what happened between this family, why Taker and Kane were the way that they were, what they went through, he wanted to know it all… …Even if it may be scarring, at least he’ll know now the truth about his own brothers. After giving it some more thought and knowing his curiosity would only eat away at him he slowly nodded “...Please, I want to… I-I wanna know, I need to know what happened to my brothers… Please, uh… Mo…” He hesitated on that front, but Eliza merely sighed and smiled “...It’s alright, you can call me mom, you can call us mom and dad if you wish to… I promise, it’s okay…” Bryan nodded “...Mom… Dad… I wanna know what happened to my brothers… Please” Eliza’s smile was a sad one, and her husband sighed “Very well son… But please, if at any point you wish to stop the vision… Tell us… And we won’t continue…”

Daniel nodded and then the two ghosts shut their eyes, Eliza’s hair gracefully blowing as if there were a gust of wind… And for a few minutes nothing happened before Daniel suddenly blacked out again… …The next time Daniel woke, his eyes slowly fluttered open, he felt like he was standing up but then… He… He felt taller, w-wait… Wait, something was wrong… This didn’t feel like Daniel’s body at all… And then Daniel heard Taker’s voice, it sounded more so like a young version of him and then suddenly the head of this body was turning toward that direction “Coming big brother!” That was… Kane’s voice, he was stuck in his body, viewing the world from his eyes, he wasn’t in control or anything, just merely viewing the world in Kane’s perspective… He watched as Kane ran toward Taker, laughing as he tackled his brother in a hug who only rolled his eyes “Ugh, get off me…!” The deadman was trying to push Kane off but he had a tight grip on his big brother, this was so weird for Daniel, okay well seeing Taker be an edgy emo-like kid? …Seems legit but Kane being so… Innocent, so full of joy and so happy, just enjoying life like a normal kid would…

He listened as they shared playful banter and then… Taker began to pull out some matches, and that’s when Kane’s eyes nearly sparkled, he got off and stood by Taker’s side now.

“Ooh! Are we going to make the fire come out again big brother?!” He sounded so excited… To which Taker laughed at and ruffled his hair “Yeah we are you lil arsonist… C’mon lil man grab one” Now he knew Kane’s love of fire, that’s partially why he grabbed the matches like he did, because deep down he loved to see his brother so happy… Taker showed Kane how to strike up a match, swiping it up the sides and little Kane’s eyes sparkled with pure delight as he took the match and looked over the flame, a wide smile on his face as he watched the flames dance and wiggle, Taker did the same, before a harsh voice called out “HEY!” That startled the brothers and even Daniel who was still watching in absolute awe of this, to see his two brothers, so full of innocence, just… Like normal human beings, just living normal lives and living out normal childhoods, then Kane’s head spun around along with Taker’s and it was their fathers who ran over quickly and snatched the matchbox and matches from them, quickly putting out the fire “Boys! You know better than to play with fire like this!”

Their dad tried his best not to yell but he couldn’t help it, Taker only looked like an edgy teen, arms crossed and eyes rolling, meanwhile Kane was looking down, clearly upset about getting in trouble “Listen, we have VERY flammable liquids here at the Funeral Home, son… Ya can’t be playin’ with these you hear me? And YOU… Taker, you KNOW better! You know better than this, you're much older!” Taker still had his arms crossed but he was looking down now “...I know, I-I’m sorry…” Their dad sighed and hugged the boys close “Listen, I… I just don’t want you boys getting hurt, your mother wouldn’t want you getting hurt either… And playing with matches, around a funeral home like this? And NEAR the flammable liquids no less? Taker, you know better, like I said, you’re older… And Kane… You just… Just don’t play around with fire like this again, y’all hear me?” The two muttered a ‘yes sir’ and then their dad hugged them tighter and thanked them “Now, go on, get… Taker, you go do your chores” Little Taker sighed but went to do as he was told, Kane watching him and then watched his father walk off, taking the matches with him.

Daniel wasn’t surprised, he knew Kane’s love of fire, he figured he had loved it just as much as a kid… But then Daniel was watching through Kane’s eyes, the little kid was sneaking around after watching Taker walk off to go do his chores and making sure no one was in sight… Daniel was confused as he snuck into the shed, and that’s when Bryan realized what Kane was going to do… His eyes wide, he tried to call out for Kane to stop but he couldn’t speak, he couldn’t control any of this… It was a vision, even if he wanted to he couldn’t do a thing… Daniel watched as Kane gathered some of the flammable liquids, even when the ghosts reminded him he couldn’t do anything, he called out for Kane to stop, begging Kane to stop as he carried the liquids to his home… Kane wanted to see more flames, wanted to see bigger flames… And didn’t want to get Taker in trouble again, so he’d do it himself! And Kane betted he could create an even BIGGER flame than Taker! His plan was full proof! As he poured the liquids around, Daniel began screaming at Kane to stop, screaming to not do what he was about to!

But Kane continued on, the little kid walking over and sneaking the matches back before slowly doing what Taker had taught him, slid the match up the side and then… Kane gasped as the match lit up, he grinned so happily at it, the flame was so pretty, he knew he could make the flame even bigger though! Bigger than his brother ever could! Kane then tossed the match…

Right to the floor to which Daniel screamed out “NO! NO NO NO!” And that’s when he watched things go up in flames around him, he could see through Kane’s eyes, at first Kane had been excited, clapping and cheering but then some fire had gotten onto him… And that’s when Daniel heard Kane screaming, screaming in agony! Bryan had a hand clasped over his mouth as he watched the scene unfold before him, he heard the dad yelling out for Kane and then his mother screaming in terror, she had a hand clasped over her mouth as she called out for her husband, she began to scream about the fire and that’s when it got so hectic… The fires were quickly consuming them and the funeral home along with them… And that’s when perspectives changed… Before Daniel could see them all being charred by flames, now he was suddenly seeing through Taker’s eyes… He was watching Taker coming back from doing all his chores, Daniel heard little Taker gasp and yell out as he began sprinting toward the funeral home, he heard the sirens and saw the police and firefighters, trying to put out the flames so desperately…

Daniel watched through Taker’s eyes, as the kid tore past everyone, he was about to run into the front door before officers restrained him, he heard Taker screaming for his mom, screaming for his dad, and then screaming for Kane, the little kid screamed for his family, trying so hard to break free from the officers grasp, Daniel was watching in horror at this display, he felt absolutely sick to his stomach… “O-Okay! Okay okay okay! I-I’VE SEEN ENOUGH! STOP!” He yelled out and just like that, he was brought back to the void, he gasped and looked around before seeing Eliza and her husband in front of him, the two holding hands, looking very saddened, tears streaming down their face “We’re sorry Daniel… Perhaps we showed you too much, we- We should have tried to stop you…” Bryan shook his head “N-No! I mean… No, it… It’s… I… I wanted… I needed… t-to know, no matter… I-If it traumatized me… I… I needed to know…” There was a pause before he slowly hugged them back, despite being ghosts, he could physically feel them somehow… It was strange “...I’m sorry… M-Mom… Dad… You… N-None of you deserved that…”

Now Daniel understood to a certain degree, he understood why Kane was the way he was along with Taker, now that he knew what they had both gone through… The screams from Kane wouldn’t leave his mind, the screams of them all really, Bryan couldn’t escape those screams of agony and then screams for a family that was long engulfed by the flames… Eliza and her husband smiled, her husband ruffling his hair “Don’t be sorry, it wasn’t your fault, we should have… Paid more attention to those two… I should have locked the shed up tight, I should’ve put the flammable stuff somewhere Kane couldn’t have reached…” Eliza shook her head “Playing the blame game, trying to pick who's at fault will get us nowhere darling…It was just an accident, it was… A Tragedy… Tragedies happen all the time, we just wish for the boys… Wouldn’t stay at each other’s throats so much… …We wish for their peace, the both of them…” Daniel was silent for a bit before pulling back “...Then… I-I’ll keep trying… I’ll keep trying to help them achieve that peace… F-For their sake, and f-for yours… I promise” The pair of ghosts smiled and interlocked hands “...We know you will son, you’ve already accomplished so much …So before we return to the spirit world, we want you to know one thing…”

And then they both spoke simultaneously “...We love you, son, take care of your brothers for us��

Bryan nodded, tears cascading down his face as he smiled “...I will… G-Goodbye…” They waved him goodbye and then suddenly Daniel woke up with a gasp, jumping up from the ground and looking around, he was right back at the graveyard again… “...W-Was it all a… A dream…?” Daniel looked around and then looked back down at the graves “...No… No it wasn’t…” Bryan sniffled slightly, wiping some tears from his face “...I’ll take good care of them, I promise, love you… Mom… Dad… Rest easy…” Daniel then turned to walk off, it was late, his brothers would be worried sick about him if he didn’t return home soon…! Daniel practically sprinted back to the house, it wouldn’t take him as long since he was running down, still thinking about that vision… Thinking about his mom and dad, he could call them that now, he knew next time… Things wouldn’t be so awkward returning to the graves… Taker was right, he should’ve not doubted him… After all he would know… And after a bit of jogging, he finally got back to the house, he opened the door to both his brothers standing by.

Kane snapped his head up “About time you…” And then Kane looked surprised, he looked in shock as he shot up from his seat, Taker doing the same, the two walking over “D-Daniel? …Wh…What’s wrong? Why are you… Crying?” Kane looked concerned, before he could start threatening anybody if they hurt him, he quickly ran over and hugged both Kane and The Undertaker, hugging them in a tight embrace, the two shared each other confused glances but just merely hugged back, albeit a bit awkwardly “What uh, what’s this hug for exactly?” Daniel smiled “...Just hugging my brothers… That’s all” …That wasn’t the case, Bryan was hugging them for so many more reasons than just being brothers but there’s no way he could tell them what happened, he just… Couldn’t… Even though it was awkward, he knew the two appreciated the hug… “...I’m sorry…” Daniel couldn’t help but feel the need to apologize either, which confused them even more, Taker speaking up “What are you sorry for, boy? Look, we- We’re not mad for you staying out late or anything like that… Don’t worry about it, man…”

Daniel wouldn’t tell them the reason he was apologizing either, he wouldn’t tell them about any of the things he had witnessed tonight, at least, not yet… He wasn’t sure if he’d ever tell them, or if he ever could, but at least now he knows he’s accepted not only by his brothers but by their parents as well, he felt closure, he felt closure in more ways than that tonight, and then he felt their hug get a bit tighter, it was comforting and secure, it made him feel… Safe… This made Bryan sigh, it was a content sigh… And then he had one thought in his head, that he wished he could say out loud but if he did, he’d have to explain what happened tonight, so for now… This was Daniel’s last thought for the night “...You deserved so much better… You all did…”

amy isn't part of the Dysfunctional Robotnik Family in egghogs because she doesn't have an inherent connection to chaos energy, so eggman couldn't find or take interest in her at a young enough age to be viable for lifelong brainwashing. even if he did, he wouldn't consider her "worth it" as a baby because she's just. some baby

she DOES still have the power to summon infinite hammers, but that's a different thing that i am choosing to not look too deep into because it's funny that she can just kind of do that.

also, the piko piko hammers she creates from hammerspace are different from the one she primarily uses! she can indeed summon infinite hammers, but she can't recall them back into her hands after they've been thrown, and they poof away if they leave her touch for too long. the piko piko hammer that tails built for her has a recall mechanism and also is a permanent object in the world instead of a cartoon construct!

her infinite hammers are also more prone to breaking and are more delicate, considering their tendency to poof away. they're also MUCH weaker to silver's tactic of just. grabbing her hammer with his powers and throwing it into orbit.

ANYWAY. when egghog sonic first meets amy, she's smashing badniks with her hammer; he takes her RIGHT to eggman to ask what he should do about this. eggman looks at her and seriously considers if it'd be worth it to take on another child (her strength could be an asset), but she proceeds to yell at him for destroying a village and calls him a meanie. so it wasn't meant to be

if she was taken in anyway, i think her sibling dynamic with the boys would be Extremely Funny. just because they'd constantly wrestle and smack the shit out of each other and she'd be like 10x more angry. she's already a powder keg of rage just waiting to go off so if she was as poorly adjusted as the rest of the egghogs she'd be a unique kind of fucking menace to society

she also would have been old enough when taken away to comprehend that she could have had a Non-Eggman Life and would be Extremely Bitter about this, especially because her brothers think she's crazy for being bitter about it. basically she would constantly have stress migraines and it wouldnt be a good time for anyone involved.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Life In Reverse tops the list (11066), aka my 200k Loki-centric post-Thor AU fic that I wrote between 2012 and 2018 and with which I have a decidedly complex relationship at this point. I love it but also I no longer think it’s my best work but also I credit it with teaching me a fuck of a lot about writing and writing longer projects in general.

With Absolute Splendor is rapidly catching up, to my astonishment (6559), despite having been posted for less than half as long. Aka the wedding planning fic that’s really just me mucking about in my Jiang Cheng and my Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian feelings, at length.

some good mistakes (4618) was my first foray into the Untamed version of “characters who hate each other going on resentful roadtrips together, feat. Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng.” I have gone on to write others and will continue to write more.

Unraveling (3069) is a little bit of a surprise but also not - it was originally just sort of WWP stuff for my ‘what if people remembered that blunt force trauma is a really bad thing actually’ problem that pops up sometimes, re: Loki at the end of The Avengers, and then it kind of turned into a whole thing. I personally think it’s the weakest of the installments of the series it belongs to, but it is the first one and also the one that gets least into the broader family dysfunction and depression stuff that probably is less everyone’s thing (but is what came out this fic that mattered more to me, personally).

I am a little surprised to see Steve Rogers’ Halfway House for Notorious Supervillains (3068) here too! I was expecting one of the more...idk, mainstream concepts from the MCU to win out? But I also wasn’t expecting two Untamed fics to make it here, either. But I am stupid proud of this fic even if it is very extraordinarily unfinished. This is one of those unfinished fics that will nag at me unless and until I finish it, at least a little, because the concept - if I do say so myself - is so goddamn good and I think I was executing it pretty well, too.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Pretty much never. I was never very good at it and now I’d feel like I had to go back and reply to all of them and I just. I can’t do that. and when I do try to just start at the beginning I get overwhelmed very fast and start avoiding it.

Basically I decided that if it’s a decision between wrestling with myself to reply to comments versus actually doing more writing I’m going to end up landing on the latter as feeling both more doable and more productive.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

probably it’s The Worlds Forgotten, the Words Forbidden for sheer level of “so then what was the point” of it all. but like. I’ve definitely written a few extraordinarily miserable fics, and by “a few” I kind of mean “a lot.” Other nominees I’d put down might be nor autumn falter (for currently personally making me suffer most), once there was a way to get back home (for I think having the ouchiest summary), and Waiting for the Summer Rain (which remains one of my personal favorite Supernatural fics I wrote).

but like. there are 43 fics I have marked with Major Character Death warnings and every single one of those, pretty much, has a downer ending.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I have written several though not in a long time! My craziest probably remains the Morgoth/Cthulhu short I wrote that actually got sporked because someone took it seriously (???) enough to do that. But the craziest that actually has any merit, (I’d argue) is probably the Maeglin/Viserys one.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Yeah, a few times on a few different things. More if you count “people who seem to like the fic but love telling you how much they hate the female characters you’re writing about in it” as ‘hate’ which I would but isn’t, you know, quite as straightforward. If I had a nickel for every time someone bitched about Jane in Life in Reverse, though...lots of nickels.

Do you write smut? if so what kind?

Sure do! But what does ‘what kind’ mean, I don’t know how to answer that question. I feel tempted to just put in my “Mike’s Hard Kinks” image edit in this space.

I guess usually I tend to write smut that at least involves a little bit of a kink? I don’t think I’d feel comfortable writing entirely kinkless smut. I think I’d feel weird about it, the same way I do when I write really nice fic, generally.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I think I did back when but I don’t remember anything about it. I feel like it was one of those mass data scraping things where my fic happened to be among those caught up in it.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have! several actually, mostly into Russian and Chinese. every time it happens I’m immensely flattered that someone wants to put in that kind of work on something I wrote.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I think I’d be very, very bad at it.

What’s your all time favorite ship?

Depends on when you ask me! I could probably give you a top five but then I’d remember six that I forgot to mention five minutes later. I guess if I were to think about ships that feel like they hold very special particular places in my heart... Xue Yang/Xiao Xingchen, Steve Rogers/Loki, and Min/Rand come to mind.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

oh god do you want the whole list cause honestly I could just like. screencap the entirety of my “in progress” folder with a crying emoji watermarked over it. and that’s not getting into the fics that are like...half formed babies in my consciousness but not anywhere on paper.

and also I just hate to admit that I might not finish something.

you know what? the Lucifer/Good Omens crossover I started would’ve been a lot of fun. I’m probably never going to finish it, but it would’ve been great if I had. I know other people did it too but my contribution could’ve been amazing.

I can say this very boldly with the near certainty that I’m not going to finish the fic so no one will be able to disagree.

(...also the Last Herald-Mage fix it. that was going to be a good fic too, and also will probably languish unfinished forever.)

What are your writing strengths?

I’m pretty sure dialogue is my strongest point. Dialogue and emotions, which is why I always end up just wanting to write about characters talking and having feelings at each other.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Writing action sequences throws me into conniptions every time I have to do it and I will take drastic actions sometimes to avoid doing it at all, which probably weakens the work as a whole.

Also, I don’t plan ahead and this means I write myself into corners kind of a lot. If I wasn’t writing long, dense fic it wouldn’t be a problem but here we are.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I tend to avoid it unless it’s in the context of, as in CQL/MDZS fic, leaving certain terminology untranslated. I’m pretty sure I almost never write full exchanges of dialogue in a different language than I’m using for the narration within a fic, and generally speaking my reaction to other people doing it is at least mildly negative.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter was technically the first fandom I wrote for, but it was a crack fic I wrote to make my friends laugh more than anything; I tend to count Wheel of Time as my first actual fandom for which I wrote my first actual fic.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

some days the answer is “all of them” and some day the answer is “I don’t like anything I’ve written in my entire life” and I never like giving this a definitive answer. yesterday I reread efforts in a common cause (the bound copy!! thanks @spockandawe) and you know what, that was a good fic and I’m proud of it, so I’m going with that one, for this meme, today.

2. Ready Player One (2018 movie) - Nolan Sorrento, F’nale Zandor

As a villain enthusiast, both Sorrento and F'nale were characters that immediately caught my interest when watching the film, and when I found out that Andy Weir had written a fanfic called "Lacero" with Sorrento as the central character, which then was met with enthusiasm by the writer of the Ready Player One novel, I really wanted to read more about him. F'nale as a tough-as-nails henchwoman made me wish for more of her, especially since she is an original character in the movie and there’s plenty of chance to expand on her.

Ship-wise, I do like the scenario of them having mad tension that might get resolved, with both of them wrestling for control but not wanting to give in to the other.

Potential prompts:

How F’nale came to work for IOI, whether she was recruited by Nolan or approached him

Them plotting to take over the world find the Egg and at the same time trying to play against each other while knowing the other is a valuable ally

F’nale having aspirations to get rid of Nolan but still playing the part of the somewhat loyal henchwoman

3. HBO Rome (2005) - Octavia of the Julii, Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus | Octavian | Emperor Augustus

Octavia and Octavian/Augustus were pretty much my favourite characters in the entire show, the Julii as a whole are so wonderfully messed up and I would love to read something centred on the siblings, although Atia, Caesar, and arguably Mark Antony, Livia, and Servilia can also be featured. Should you go for the platonic route, I’d still ask you to not ignore the canon events.

Post-canon where Octavia remains a close ally and adviser to Augustus

Outsider POV where someone else considers how close they are (and the rumours of them having once been lovers)

4. Succession (TV) - Kendall Roy, Shiv Roy

I do love the relationship between Ken and Shiv, and arguably what got me properly hooked to them was the scene between them in Season 2 where Shiv confronts her brother about why he stopped going after Logan. I won’t lie when I say that I also ship them very hard, especially with Shiv being the only one around whom Ken is openly vulnerable, and now in S3 him trying to get her on his team, but again, shippy dynamics need not necessarily be brought in if you’re uncomfortable with writing it.

If you chose to go for the ship: feel free to make it as messy, weird, and nasty as you like!

Potential prompts:

Backstory on them and their younger years! Roman can be included in that, along with Connor, Logan, and Caroline

- Historia ironically played Sailor Moon in a Sailor Moon stage musical. She is friends with Usagi Tsukino who ironically played Sailor Moon in a lot of movies and the iconic TV series

- Ymir was Sailor Jupiter in that same musical

- Levi is actually clumsy in real life and a serious goofball xD. Same applies to Mikasa

The Even More Dysfunctional Family (AU)

Here’s the tidbits (tidbits? More like Chase doesn’t know how to fucking STOP ADDING SHIT, bc even just now i kept adding shit to the doc before I was like ALRIGHT ENOUGH I NEED TO P O S T THIS), but here’s the bits for the Brothers of Destruction AU in which Daniel gets adopted and taken in.

Some of these were written before I wrote that one story in particular, and some might conflict with future ideas because I’m going to be 100% honest right now? I suck at keeping to my own canon gkfjdlkjgfdksl but I’d also like to say, you can also throw ideas into the mix here, I don’t mind seeing others ideas for this AU if ya got any, hell, you can send me asks bout it too but anyways before i ramble into oblivion here it is!

There IS some angst in this though! It’s nothing EXTREMELY graphic but I do mention Kane, like, ripping out hair n such so I can advise against that

- I don’t know how Daniel ever got adopted, hell HE’S not even sure how this happened but it just, happened where, he got partnered up with someone who calls himself ‘The Devil’s Favorite Demon’ and has a FULL HISTORY of torturing people psychologically and physically and then they became best friends p much?! …Sure they still fight here and there but it’s not really out of malice or anything anymore and then he helped Kane’s big bro out with the fuckin shield and that was that, for reasons unknown Taker allowed him in essentially, and then boom he’s the new and shortest brother of destruction suddenly…

- Okay I lied- I do know how he got adopted- I’ll be honest- Kane probably talked about it to Taker and was like …Can we let Daniel join? Taker was reluctant at first just like ‘why’ and honestly it feels awkward having a new brother like that just so suddenly and he’d probably be like ‘well how destructive is the boy?’ but then Kane shows Taker him and Daniel just destroying random ass superstars with chairs, and then shows a compilation of Daniel just being an absolute m e n a c e and Taker pauses for a moment “. . . He’s in” that was all that was said and the new brother of destruction dropped!!!

- Daniel has the tenacity for it so yeah, Taker does not have to explain his reasoning anyways! Who the fuck is going to question The Undertaker of all people? …Yeah, that’s right- NOBODY- anyways- uh another big reason is not bc Daniel is destructive n shit- but its because Taker can see right through Kane, I mean that’s his little brother, even if he and Daniel fight, even if Kane grips Daniel by the throat- he knows Kane won’t actually chokeslam him …Maybe- but it’s MOSTLY just an ‘intimidation act’ when it comes to Bryan- But his lil brother cares about Daniel, a lot actually, and it’s VERY obvious to him even when Kane denies it-

- …Taker won’t deny, it's… It’s nice to see his little brother finally and genuinely happy- finally someone who hasn’t turned on Kane (we’re DISREGARDING THN ever splitting up, yeah fuck that, that doesn’t happen) bc Taker’s seen it, he’s seen the people Kane tried to trust before and how they turned their back on them, there was one out of the bunch that didn’t but he’s… Not around anymore anyways, so now there was Daniel, at first I’m sure Taker had his worries of whether or not Daniel would stick by Kane or if he’d run away from him, but Daniel was no coward and he was pretty fuckin tough to get into his brother’s face the way he did… Some of the shit Bryan said and did to Kane required a LOT of balls (Shane glaring rn) and if it were anybody else, they’d uh probs be laying in that ring rn

- …But Taker, he’s happy for Kane, finally found someone who won’t betray him, and even more so, Daniel made a promise… Taker was secretly listening in to those two, Kane was having a vulnerable moment, thinking about the ones who betrayed him, and then he worried, even after Daniel joined the BoD, he had his fears and doubts… I mean hell, betrayal hurts DEEPLY.

Ya know? Kane has been hurt MANY times in his life by MANY people, physically, emotionally- and mentally- Hell, even Taker HIMSELF has hurt Kane but Taker listens as Daniel tells Kane that sure, they may still fight, but their siblings now- sure, not related by blood or anything like that- but still, their family now! Him, Kane, and Taker, they're all a big family… Albeit a very strange and dysfunctional family, still a family- Daniel reassures Kane that he’s not going anywhere, that he won’t ever betray Kane and in fact, he’ll prove it and continue to prove it to Kane

- Daniel also went in for a hug, which is something Kane got EXTREMELY rarely… It was such a visceral scene, seeing Kane just looking at Daniel for a moment, trying to process the hug it seemed, trying to process affection, it was something so rarely given to a monster like him …Taker was surprised but Kane did eventually hug back and thanked Daniel, for the reassurance …and for not being a dick bout this kinda thing, Bryan of course grinned “That’s what brothers are for, they help each other when they need to, even if we can be dickheads to each other mostly” …and then they went into an argument …it was a playful one though, just them messing around n Daniel tryna get Kane into a better mood too

- Daniel tries to interact with Taker but interacting with the deadman is literally like trying to talk to a fucking brick wall, Taker is definitely not the easiest the interact with but they do have their moments in the long run of things, Taker has definitely thanked Daniel, for being there with Kane, for being… For being the brother to him that Taker never was, which confused Daniel- He knew a good bit about Kane and Taker’s history, but not ALL the details …Which I’m sure Taker might one day explain to him but that’s a story for another time (and then he didnt lmao), Bryan wasn’t sure how to take that, he tried to tell Taker that he could be a good brother but that only caused the deadman to sneer “You kiddin’ me, boy? I haven’t been what you could call a ‘good brother’ in decades…” Taker is very closed and shut off with any of his feelings and emotions though and for Dan’s sake, he knows better than to push something he really shouldn’t.

- Taker does admit how good it was, for Daniel and Kane to partner up, how good it was for Kane and well, how good it even was for Daniel that they met… Probs gets philosophical about how it’s destiny or fate or some shit but Bryan couldn’t deny …Even at the very rocky start and even with the ups n downs they STILL had, it did feel like a good thing, Daniel felt happier and even though it was hard to picture, he could really just relax around Kane, and Taker too even if talking to him was awkward and difficult… It’s a big change to suddenly have a third brother like that, and to be in the BoD no less …But, it’s a change that would do all three of them some good.

- Daniel has no supernatural powers whatsoever, he’ll never understand how Kane summons the fire so easily like he does, or how Undertaker can summon lightning or ANY of the powers, Bryan has tried to summon the fire before and or the lightning, gets angry when he can’t, sometimes he genuinely doesn’t feel like he fits in here …But Kane mostly reminds him, that supernatural powers don’t define the BoD, it’s their ability to create destruction that defines them and that’s something Bryan can ABSOLUTELY do …For Daniel’s sake (this was a canon thing that happened btw, he tried to set Kane’s pyro off and FINALLY after a bit he did it which…

Surprised Kane but im putting my own spin on it) Daniel has tried to set off the fire like Kane before, and he kept getting frustrated and more angry when he couldn’t do it, he was convinced he could …So Kane decided after watching Bryan struggling and failing, he casually made sure Bry couldn’t see, lifted his arms and then the fire went off, this made Bryan’s eyes widen and he looked back at Kane who put on a look of shock as he looked at the fire shoot up before disappearing, Daniel looked genuinely so happy and pleased, it put a smile on Kane’s face for sure.

- Taker has done the exact same with lightning, he wasn’t going too because he thought it was funny watching Dan struggle but then Kane hit him on the shoulder and whispered to help him out to which he sighed but did so as per his brother’s want …but the big question is, as I stated, Daniel knows he doesn’t necessarily have supernatural powers, but do you think he believes he’s A: Gaining them now somehow or B: He knows deep down that Kane set off the pyro for him and Taker did the same with the lightning …Both would have VERY different outcomes btw

- Daniel has ran into his fair share of trouble with the other superstars before in the past, and just because he’s a member of BoD now doesn’t mean that changes, sure a lotta superstars know better but then there’s some dumbasses who continue to push their luck, both Kane and Taker are HIGHLY protective of Daniel, they won’t admit it outright but it’s clear they are very protective over their new brother- It’s like one of those lil tropes- so let’s put it into a scenario- Some dude is picking on Daniel or who knows maybe even attacking him bc it IS wrestling- So then just these two 7ft tall monsters just appear behind Bryan, glaring down at the person giving him a hard time, the glare is usually enough to send them running- but here’s the difference- if someone was giving Daniel a hard time, like just spouting some annoying words- Bryan would just be getting angry and not backing down sure.

BUT… While Daniel can hold his own, both Kane and Taker know this- they still can’t help their protective instincts- I’m imagining Daniel trying to intimidate someone and make them back down and leave him alone but it’s not working, then suddenly the monsters appear, not close enough to where Daniel would notice them but their shooting a HARSH glare toward the person, mouthing at them to run or suffer the consequences, this makes Daniel much more confident, thinking HE intimidated them, but now… If it’s someone attacking Bryan …Uh, their dead, FHGJKDLFJGHDK- THERE’S STRAIGHT UP GOING TO BE A MURDER AND UH UNLIKE THE DEADMAN AND KANE THEY CAN’T,, EXACTLY COME BACK- It’s going to be a massacre unless someone stops these two.

- Likewise, Daniel is pretty protective of them as well, even though he knows they can protect themselves like, I mean, he knows who they are, if someone is harassing them, he legit shoves both of them back and gets all up in that person’s face, legit just backing them into a corner …Which, ngl, does impress both Kane and Taker for sure, the BoD has been targeted for attacks many times but then you just see this feral fucker running in with a goddamn kendo stick beating the shit out of ANYONE who attacks them, whether it be two people or multiple, he doesn’t care, Bryan’s going FERAL and protecting his brothers so stay the FUCK outta his way!

- Daniel standing behind the monsters, just glaring at the employees who look terrified beyond belief as the brothers also glare down at them, arms crossed, they simultaneously say “He asked for n o meat whatsoever, he’s a vegan” let’s just say the employees were being a dick bc Daniel was a vegan, let’s say their being assholes for this scenario …bc I’ve seen people be assholes toward vegans …which is fucking stupid- but the employees apologize and give them, literally whatever the fuck they want bc goddamn just l e a v e, please, y’all scary- …and maybe y’all shouldn’t have been dicks either but here we are …Ahem- basically the ‘excuse me he asked for no pickles’ meme lmao

- Daniel got his brothers to try some of the vegan food at some point, uhh, they pretended to like it, also Bryan made a mental note to himself, to never EVER under ANY circumstances bring a cucumber home a g a i n… for Dan’s case, they would’ve gotten him to try some meaty food BUT… They know that uh, Bryan gets sick and vomits anytime he eats any kinda meat so that’s uh off the table p much …Although Taker does laugh whenever Kane reminds him of the time Daniel threw up in Dr. Shelby’s lap, Kane adding the check please to the end of that as well really just s e n d s Taker

- You knew this was coming… Taker and Kane CONSTANTLY poke fun at Daniel’s height, calling him so many goddamned nicknames, Daniel fucking H A T E S it- he is constantly reminded and haunted by the fact he’s so much shorter than them, they do not relent- they will never let poor Daniel live this down… Not ever, but it’s all in good fun in the end …Well for Taker and Kane anyways LMAO- Bryan fuckin hates this shit, but they do know when to back off at the very least- but god they are insufferable, he regrets being adopted into this shit, can he take back his own adoption into the BoD? Can he take this back? Fjkdlsgjdfks …He’s kidding- he’d never trade this for anything, not even a fuckin title shot would beat this-

- Bc of Taker and Kane's history essentially… There can be a lot of issues, now sure Taker can get pissed off, there’s no doubt but he’s better at controlling his anger more so than Kane- Kane can lose his temper VERY quickly and easily, and if he’s angered enough, well… He unfortunately doesn’t care who he hurts, there has probably been times where Daniel’s tried to help, bc he doesn’t like seeing Kane so upset, especially not when it gets to the point of the other ripping out his hair (he does that when in EXTREME distress, whether it be anger or just, upset p much) the rocking back n forth Daniel doesn’t mind but he doesn’t wanna see the other rip out his hair.

Kane has probably nearly hurt Daniel before because of this, because of that anger that he just cannot seem to control, which makes Kane feel guilty in the end of things bc he… He’d never wanna actually hurt Bryan, Taker would step in before Kane could do something he would TRULY regret, he might be harsh about it, Taker roughly shoving his brother back and telling him to take out his anger on something or someone else even, but NOT Daniel, hell- if Kane needs too, Taker will offer himself up for a fight, letting Kane vent out that anger on him but that’s because the deadman can, and no pun intended- take that kinda fight- Bryan couldn’t- sure, he’s a TOUGH lil shit but not… Not in THIS case, this is something entirely, hell, at this point it’s more than a simple ‘fight’...

- After that ordeal, tho, Kane if he even came anywhere n e a r hurting Daniel, he’d simply just run off somewhere, he can’t handle that, he can’t handle that he almost fucking hurt his brother, now sure, he’s hurt Taker before, multiple times in fact (technically speaking both Taker n Kane have hurt each other multiple times so yeaah) but Daniel? …Daniel’s human for one, two, Bryan doesn’t DESERVE that, he doesn’t deserve that anger taken out on him- Kane’s had anger built up for decades- sure, Daniel has his anger as well- but it’s nothing CLOSE compared to Kane’s… Bc his hasn’t built up for decades like that- Dan just doesn’t deserve that, and to think he almost h u r t the other just like that…

I imagine Daniel, despite Taker advising against it, runs off to go find Kane- upon finding him, he’s probably sitting in a boiler room or basement type room, rocking back and forth, hands on his head and he looks so upset… Daniel cautiously approaches, sitting not SUPER close but close enough to where Kane can see who it is, there’s nothing said for a long while… Now, usually nearly being attacked would piss Bryan off immensely, but this is probably after being with the BoD for a long while now, being with Kane in general… And even then, Bryan doesn’t feel the need to be angry in this situation, more anger would just escalate things… So he looks at Kane and calmly begins to speak “...I don’t blame you, and I’m not mad at you… …I can’t say I sympathize or understand your anger, because I don’t, I haven’t been through ANY of what you have…”

Kane is silent for a few more moments before speaking up “...That’s not an excuse, I could’ve hurt you, hurt you SEVERELY…” Bryan would sigh (i can’t spend all day on this one soo…) Bryan would try his best to talk Kane down, telling him that he doesn’t blame him, and that it’s not necessarily his fault, anger can be a finicky thing, it can be hard to control and sometimes it can be completely out of your control, and Bryan would say he couldn’t even begin to imagine having DECADES, literal decades of anger building up, decades of anger from being hurt so many times, even by his own flesh and blood, it must be so difficult to deal with, but at some point, Bryan, just gently hugs Kane, thinking it might be a bad idea but he’s going for it, once again… with the hugging… …Bryan promises, even if he might not be a brother related by blood, he’s still a brother, and he’s GOING to help Kane out in any way he can, he’s going to help Kane with all that anger and hurt as best he can.

…He’s not going to give up on his new brother, or rather… He’s NEVER going to give up on either of his newfound brothers, he’ll help them BOTH in the long run of things, he knows how hard it’d be, if not nearly impossible but he’s always been so determined and stubborn, once he’s made up his mind there’s no changing it, not ever… Even if he ran the risk of being hurt, hurt bad or WORSE even… Daniel would risk it all for his brothers, would also try to get Kane and Taker in a better mood after that whole ordeal, easier said than done but like I said, he’s a determined and stubborn man, he’ll find a way.

God, I love my angst lmao, there’s so much fluff and angst potential with these three though… Taker and Kane might even learn how to finally be, well, decent brothers to each other at least thanks to Daniel, he’s going to teach them how to be somewhat normal brothers, teach them how to be human in fact, it’ll be a rough journey but he’ll find a way, even if he has to risk it all.

- Daniel, while he does love to deal with situations himself, he doesn’t want to always rely on the BoD or want them to come to his ‘rescue’ or whatever, he needs to deal with his own battles n situations sometimes which they do respect, Kane a bit more so reluctantly… That’s mainly bc he’s prideful and confident in himself, he can handle certain things on his own sometimes …Occasionally he does get a bit too cocky and it costs him but that's besides the point rn- Another reason, he doesn’t want them to misunderstand and start thinking he’s only here bc the BoD are protectors, he’s not just using them as shields or some shit-

- Daniel is picking up a bit of sadism from his brothers ngl, loves to see enemies in pain more so than ever before and loves to see fear in them …He doesn’t know if it’s a good or bad thing at this rate, he grows more concerned each time he finds himself grinning at beaten/fearful enemy.

- Daniel just liking to see his enemies in pain and being in fear more and more makes Kane and Taker so proud of their new brother, he’s becoming more and more like them every day …They are not even sure if that’s a good thing, well, at… A-At the very least, Daniel hasn’t gone through any of their traumas …And they’d NEVER wish that upon him or anyone else even …Okay maybe in the past Kane wanted people to ‘feel his pain’ but just, just, its… It’s different now… The dynamic is different, EVERYTHING is different s-so uh yeeeaahhh. He does NOT want Daniel to ‘feel his pain’

- You would think Daniel would have a leash on these two but it's the exact opposite, Taker and Kane have a leash on him because i s w e a r sometimes Daniel just decides that its feral time and he’s going to cause problems, problems that the BoD don’t wanna deal with right now, unnecessary problems …but also Daniel uh knows, Taker would kill him (not literally) and Kane, well… Putting a leash on him, Kane would get m a d firstly, but secondly he’d be a shithead and just drag Daniel all over the place.

- Remember that weak link storyline? ..Yeah, uh that happens here too, BUT the difference is he’s got both Kane AND Taker to reassure him, and anyone who tries calling him the weak link..

Well, they get fuckin one-shotted, just KNOCKOUT- get- get outta here, stop polluting Daniel’s mind with that weak link shit, he’s not a weak link- he’s never been the weak link alone and he won’t EVER be the weak link, whether he be fighting without his brothers or WITH them, Daniel is… Appreciative of this, he gets his doubts and fears sometimes too.

- Daniel hates being considered weak, it hurts him to be considered weak, he’s got a lot of pride and that’s a low blow essentially- When someone considers him weak, he legit nearly pushes himself to his actual breaking point, it gets to the point where Kane and Taker BOTH have to intervene and get him to stop just so he’ll take care of himself, because Daniel barely eats, drinks, or sleeps- it’s all about training and pushing himself, he can’t be weak, he CAN’T…
