विश्व जल दिवस: 16 करोड़ से ज्यादा लोगों को पीने का साफ पानी उपलब्ध नहीं, वाहन धोने पर खर्च हो रहा करोड़ों लीटर पानी

चैतन्य भारत न्यूज हर साल 22 मार्च को 'विश्व जल दिवस' (World Water Day) मनाया जाता है। इस दिन को मनाने का उद्देश्य सभी विकसित और विकासशील देशों में स्वच्छ जल उपलब्ध करवाना है। इस दिन दुनियाभर में कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर पानी की महत्ता के बारे में बताया जाता है। पानी हम सभी के लिए कितना महत्वपूर्ण है यह हर कोई जानता है। आइए जानते हैं हमारे जीवन में जल का महत्त्व- (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || ).push({}); जल ही जीवन जल के बिना हम जीवन की कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकते हैं। चाहे इंसान हो या जानवर या पेड़-पौधें ही क्यों न हो, जल हर किसी के लिए बेहद महत्त्वपूर्ण है। धरती पर पीने के पानी की उपलब्धता और उससे जुड़े आंकड़ों को देखें तो समझ आता है कि पानी की बूंद-बूंद बचा��ा हमारे लिए कितना महत्वपूर्ण है। रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, पृथ्वी पर पानी की कुल मात्रा लगभग 1400 मिलियन घन किलोमीटर है। इसमें से 97.5 फीसदी पानी समुद्र में है जो पीने योग्य नहीं होता है। मात्र 2.5 फीसदी पानी ही पीने योग्य है। इसमें से भी 1.5 फीसदी बर्फ के रूप में है और 1 फीसदी पानी नदी, सरोवर, कुंओं, झरनों और झीलों में है।

16 करोड़ लोगों को पीने का पानी नसीब नहीं संयुक्त राष्ट्र की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, दुनिया के हर 9वें व्यक्ति के पास पीने योग्य साफ पानी का अभाव है। इसके कारण हर साल लाखों लोग बीमारियों का शिकार हो रहे हैं। आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, दुनियाभर में 2.1 अरब और भारत में करीब 16 करोड़ से अधिक लोग ऐसे हैं जिन्हें पीने का साफ पानी उपलब्ध नहीं है। वहीं करीब 26 करोड़ लोग ऐसे हैं जिन्हें पानी के लिए करीब 30 मिनट तक यात्रा करनी पड़ती है।

भारत में जल की स्थिती भारत में दिल्ली और मुंबई जैसे महानगरों में पानी की किल्लत तो है, लेकिन यह समस्या विकराल नहीं है। लेकिन देश के कई राज्य ऐसे भी हैं जहां साफ पानी का अभाव है। खासतौर से राजस्थान में पीने का पानी बड़ी ही मुश्किल से मिलता है। राजस्थान के रेगिस्तान वाले इलाकों में महिलाएं कई किलोमीटर दूर पैदल चलकर पानी लाती हैं।

वाहन धोने में खर्च हो रहा करोड़ों लीटर पानी रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, भारत में हर साल लाखों लोगों की मौत दूषित पानी और खराब साफ-सफाई की वजह से होती है। विश्व में और विशेष रूप से भारत में पानी किस प्रकार नष्ट होता है, इस विषय में जो तथ्य सामने आए हैं, उस पर जागरूकता से ध्यान देकर हम पानी के अपव्यय को रोक सकते हैं। भारत में रोजाना वाहन धोने में ही करोड़ों लीटर पानी खर्च हो जाता है। दिल्ली, मुंबई और चेन्नई जैसे महानगरों में पाइप लाइनों के वॉल्व खराब होने के कारण रोजाना 17 से 44 प्रतिशत पानी बेकार बह जाता है। धरती पर तीन चौथाई पानी होने के बाद भी पीने योग्य पानी एक सीमित मात्रा में ही उपलब्ध है। नदी, तालाबों और कुएं में केमिकल बहाकर उस पानी को भी प्रदूषित कर दिया जाता है।

ऐसे करें पानी की बचत पानी की बचत करना बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। हर व्यक्ति को पानी को संरक्षित करना और वर्षा के पानी को अधिक से अधिक संरक्षित करना चाहिए। बारिश के पानी की एक-एक बूंद बेहद कीमती है। इसलिए इसे सहेजना भी जरुरी है। इसके अलावा जंगलों का विकास किया जाना बेहद जरुरी है। नदियां और अन्य जल स्त्रोतों का संरक्षण किया जाना चाहिए और उनके आस-पास पेड़-पौधों के कटाव को रोका जाना चाहिए। Read the full article
