The Four Symbols
"According to the archaeological evidence, the concept of the Four Symbols may have existed as early as China’s Neolithic period (some 6,000 years ago). This is based on some clam shells and bones forming the images of the Azure Dragon and the White Tiger that were found in a tomb in Henan." "I Ching (易經), a Chinese divination text also known as the Book of Changes, traces the roots of the Four Symbols back to the beginnings of the world. It alleges that they were bred from the famous ring of yin-yang (陰陽), which instils order upon the chaotic spirit of Taiji (太極)."
Four Guardians, Four Gods, Four Auspicious Beast
Each corresponds to a quadrant in the sky, with each quadrant containing seven seishuku, or star constellations (also called the 28 lunar mansions or lodges; for charts, see this outside site). Each of the four groups of seven is associated with one of the four celestial creatures. There was a fifth direction -- the center, representing China itself -- which carried its own seishuku.
The four Symbols hold significant symbolic meaning in cosmology and culture. They represent harmony and balance od the universe. The represent the harmony and balance of the universe. Each symbol governing a specific direct , season and set of elements. The symbols are associated with the five elements theory, which is crucial in traditional medicine , Feng Shui, and astrology. The also represent the cyclical nature of time, as they are closely tied to the Chines zodiac and the twelve Earthy branches.
The Four symbols paly a significant role in Shines astrology particularly in the Chinese zodiac, each symbol is associated with the specific year within the 12-year zodiac cycle, along with the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water) The combination of the symbol and the element determines the characteristics and destiny of individuals born in the particular year. The four symbol also influence their astrological systems, such as the Eight Characters (BaZi) and the Four Pillars of Destiny.
I thought I compare the LMK versions of them to the real mythology.
Vermilion Bird: Symbol of the South
Vermilion Bird aka Phoenix or Zhuniao, is the symbol of the southern direction. It is associated with the season of summer and represents the element of fire. It is the symbol of rebirth, immortality, and prosperity. It is also often associated with love, beauty, and passion.
Color- Red
Time of Day - Midady
Appearance: said to have chicken’s head, swallow’s chin, snake’s neck, fish’s tail, and five-color feather. ;or A mythical bird with colorful plumage and radiant feathers.
Its seven mansions are the Well, Ghosts, Willow, Star, Extended Net, Wings and Chario
Black Tortoise: The Symbol of the North
The Black Tortoise aka Black Warrior, Xuanwu is the symbol of the northern direction. Associated with the season of winter and element of water. Believed to bring protection and longevity. It is also associated with knowledge and wisdom and the control of water.
Color- Black
Time of Day- Midnight
Appearance: A giant tortoise with a snake wrapped around its back
Its seven mansions are the Dipper, Ox, Girl, Emptiness, Rooftop, Encampment and Wall.
Azure Dragon: Symbol of the East
Azure Dragon aka Blue Dragon or Qinglong, representing the easter direction. The ruler of the sky and is associated with the season of spring, the element of wood and is believed to being harmony and good fortune to those who embrace its energy.
Color: Blue- green
Time of Day - Dawn
Looks – serpent like body, deer-like antlers, fish-like scales and eagle-like claws.
The Azure Dragon as it is said that when the seven mansions in that area (Horn, Neck, Root, Room, Heart, Tail, and Winnowing Basket) are joined up, they form the shape of a dragon
White Tiger: The Symbol of the West
White tiger aka Baihu, is the guardian of the western direction. Associated with the season of autumn and the element of metal. Believed to represent strength, courage, and protection. Its is also associated with the celestial guardian of the west a powerful deity known as Xuanwu
Color- White
Time of Day- Dusk
Appearance: a creature with a tiger's body and lions' mane.
the White Tiger, and its seven mansions are the Legs, Bond, Stomach, Hairy Head, Net, Turtle Beak and Three Stars.
it was held to be the God of War. In this capacity, the White Tiger was seen as a protector and defender, not just from mortal enemies, but also from evil spirits.
A symbol of force and army, and so many things entitled White Tiger in ancient China are related to military affairs. For instance, the white tiger banner in the ancient army and the white tiger image on the Commander’s Tally. In the Han Dynasty, the White Tiger was usually carved on the stone relief of a tomb door, or on the lintel of a tomb passage with the Azure Dragon, to ward off evil spirits.
This puts a lot together and I'm impressed with the details that the show animators and designers put into their character designs.
Also..
Yellow Dragon: Symbol of Central
Yellow Dragon aka Qilin the symbol if the Central direction, and is associated with the season Midsummer and the element earth.
Color: Yellow
--
Comparing them they share the colors with the stones and the yellow dragon (central) seems to correspond with the jade emperor's yellow stone. Once again love the show details.
Nearly forgot about this and left it in the drafts wanted to post this then completely forget them.

Diviners: what are you reading
Fortune tellers, diviners, tarotists, astrologers, geomancers, bones-throwers, rune-readers... what are you reading??
I’ve heard tell, recently, of someone who got a reading from a Tarot card reader. The client came in with questions about their business.... and the Tarot card reader answered with advice about the gods and spirits, and connecting with the ancestors. They talked in numbers of disks and singular swords, and emperors and Devils.
Umm.
My friend was bewildered. And angry to be out $45. And lacked advice — actionable advice — about how to manage a deteriorating relationship with a business partner.
OK, I get it — I myself have shelves that are bending and sloping under the weight of tarot card decks and books about astrology. I have piles of workbooks and guides to being a better astrologer. And I’m certainly interested in gods and myths and legends of spirits, and how to do magic to make them help you get what you want. If you’re anything like me, THAT’s on your bookshelves, too.
BUT.
I read eight to ten books about business — about sales, about administration, about marketing and advertising, about business design — every year. I read two or three biographies of historical persons (partly to pick them apart for astrological purposes, partly because real people are interesting). I read five to six books about magic, because you have to keep your skills and techniques up-to-date, and know whether or not you’re doing stuff right. I read three or four books about history (ancient and modern) to have examples to draw on in consultations with clients. I read four or five how-to books (and devour YouTube educational content) on sewing, embroidery, woodworking, and more, every year. As my parents (and I) age, I’m reading more books about health and medicine, too.
And because I’m cis-, and white, and straight, and male, I read books by and about and for women, queer people, women of color, men of color. I read books by non-Americans, too, and try to get a sense of the world beyond my state and nation: geopolitics, the economics of South America, the logistics routes that make T-shirts and jeans in the US possible.
In ancient times, the laws of the city of Delphi, home of the most famous oracle in the Mediterranean, simply required that only a woman could sit on the tripod in the adyton and prophesy. By the Classical era, it was required that she be a married woman with children, in her fourth decade — someone who knew something of the world, and knew its pitfalls and challenges, as well as its opportunities.
Please don’t get me wrong — if you’re nineteen, or fifteen, and starting to learn a form of fortune-telling or divination, that’s fine. You don’t have to be married and in your forties to start. You don’t even have to wait for someone to give you a tarot deck or a pack of runes.
But PLEASE —widen the horizon of what’s valuable knowledge for a diviner. It’s not just the official meanings of the cards in the little white book. It’s ALL the other reading and information you’re carrying around in your brain: the things you learned in summer camp about making Friendship Bracelets and the class about computer programming; the obsessive binge-watching of every documentary about China you could find; the map you drew in your journal in math class of who was kissing whom; the lemonade stand you ran with your cousin during the family reunion; the book you borrowed from the library about how to write a novel. Fortune-telling, divination, is a weird method for deciding what information you carry around in your head is relevant to a given conversation with a client or a friend. But feed that head. Locked up inside that head is a treasure-house of experiences, and the more you put in there, the more that you will be able to unfold to a client in the course of a consultation.

CC's New Watch Ranking - May 2023
Every month on Letterboxd, I make a list of the 10 best films I’ve seen for the first time. It’s a fun way to compare movies separated in time, genre, and country of origin, and helps me keep track of what I’m watching! This is a breakdown of those films.
May! An honored month in my household as my partner enters her time of astrological power. Taurus would have us laze around in the sun enjoying life’s hedonisms, but I’ve been resisting that call and working like a madperson instead. I got cast in a movie! Only a background role, but it’s been an incredible learning experience. You can watch a ton of films (and reader, I have) but nothing will teach you quite like being there. Being able to watch it all unfold before your very eyes? Fascinating. Besides that, Tears of the Kingdom has been occupying my time. I love throwing that twink off a cliff. He soars just right. The protagonist of one of this month’s films would be delighted to see him fly.
Click below to read the breakdown! Click HERE to view the list on Letterboxd!
10. Accattone
1961 - Pier Paolo Pasolini
I watched many films by Pasolini this month. He’s one of the most interesting figures in Italian cinematic history, an openly gay marxist who stood up for ideals that were on the extreme fringe of the culture he was working in at the time. His career was tragically short-lived, cut short by either political assassination or extortive murder, depending on who you believe. Wild that it was films like this that made him the target of such ire. The story is so basic, so familiar: A horrible man is horrible to those closest to him. They suffer; he suffers; eventually, he is killed as a result of his horrible decision making. That tagline calls this “The poor man’s Dolce Vita?” While shot beautifully and containing some compelling moments, I don’t find this nearly as interesting as the other works in Pasolini’s filmography. It was made for a very specific time, and I think if you’re not plugged into the particulars of Italian class and gender dynamics, this just read as typical criminal melodrama. It is funny that Accatone’s criminal career culminates in an attempted salami heist. He and my cat have a lot in common.
9. Othello
1951 - Orson Welles
Any adaptation of this text is going to bear a ton of baggage. An adaptation made in the 1950s especially. But my main criticism of this film is that it represents a style of Shakespearean performance that I find dated and boring. It’s so stagey - which is a ludicrous complaint given the nature of the work and the sorts of movies I love. But this is false-stagey, containing people making proclamations and japes, without any human emotion behind the vast majority of their lines. It’s a shame, because this is one of the most beautifully shot Shakespeares I’ve ever seen. They gain so much by shooting in Venice, and using the striking contrast of light and shadow that Welles is famous for. That just barely sustained my interest through an otherwise flat adaptation. Maybe it’s just the bias of the time I’m viewing this in - I prefer a much more psychologically rich take on the Bard’s work, rather than a bunch of people wearing tin crowns and signing towards medieval behaviors.
I watched this with my cat. She sat in a chair next to mine and seemed engrossed. Add this to the “BirdTV 10+ Hours Nature Noises for Cats” rotation.
8. Shanghai Express
1932 - Josef von Sternberg
I’ve been reading a ton of Agatha Christie lately. This movie, made around the same time as many of Christie’s best works, evokes so much of the era: the glamor, the manners, the ignorance of how the world will change in a few short years, the omnipresent racial caste system. It’s so amusing to read Christie’s work when you hold the knowledge of how the world is going to change. It’s a similar pleasure watching this movie - these wealthy colonizers are passing through a China that will no longer exist, whose trajectory for the rest of the century is going to be a reaction to their actions and attitudes. How peculiar that the center of this film, then, should be Marlene Dietrich and Anna May Wong, two figures who defy all the trends and assumptions one would make about this era. Their sapphic attachment bubbles under the surface of all their scenes. It motivates a movie that would otherwise be heavy-handed and patronizing. While it has its problems, I’d still recommend this to anyone who wants to see some of old Hollywood’s biggest queer icons working at the height of their power.
7. Theorem
1968 - Pier Paolo Pasolini
Where Accattone looks at the urban working-class folks who live their lives by petty crime, Teorema is concerned with a more provincial elite. I kept thinking of the wannabe literati that I grew up with - boys who read Freud too young and were convinced that this coked-up Austrian held the secrets to the universe. Boys who would lean in at random points in a discussion to say “Well, this really comes back to Oedipus, doesn’t it?” As with Accattone, I think this is speaking to a specific time and place so succinctly that it won’t work for people outside that bubble. A young man basically wanders into a rich family’s home and sleeps with all of them. Through different situations and personas, he gets to each of their psychosexual cores. The most remarkable scene is the exact middle of the film. In the wake of all these sexual encounters, each family member basically addresses the fourth wall and states what this intimacy will do to them. “I will be forever changed; the shadow of this sex will live in my heart forever.” The rest of the film proceeds exactly as they predict. There are some incredible, surreal images bound up in the action, and I enjoyed watching it, but overall there are too many messy edges and pseudointellectual implications for me to heartily recommend this to everyone. Maybe once I’ve completed this mog I’ll see this film in a new light.
6. Face/Off
1997 - John Woo
Oh man, this is the polar opposite of the navel-gazing art house nonsense of the Teorema. Simple premise: What if Nic Cage and John Travolta swapped faces? Wouldn’t that be fucked up? A thoroughly enjoyable 90s action flick without much beneath the surface besides satisfying action. (Though, on reflection, this film also has a bit of incestuous implication - Cage-Wearing-Travolta flirts with Travolta’s daughter, and she seems to reciprocate? They drop that plot beat quickly, but it is uh, awkward to say the least.) While this wasn’t quite the exceptional genre entry some people had told me it was, I still had a blast watching two of Hollywood’s weirdest actors get a chance to imitate each other’s energy. They do it perfectly. Really makes you appreciate the way a person can truly transform within a performance
5. Mamma Roma
1962 - Pier Paolo Pasolini
I’ve preferred Pasolini when he’s plugged into *some* degree of realness. As a director who lived through the neorealist era, and was once a close collaborator with Fellini, I feel like his work really shines when he accentuates a grounded reality with just a touch of dream-logic. This happens brilliantly within this film. A middle-aged woman has earned enough through sex work to purchase a fruit stand, and uses this entry into “respectable” life as an excuse to reconnect with her estranged son. But she finds it difficult to shake off all the ghosts of her past. She cannot just snap her fingers and have the life she dreamed of decades ago when she gave her son away. He has grown into his own person, and struggles under the weight of her dream as he tries to pursue his own. It’s a wonderful, messy tangle of competing desires, fantasies, and realities. The extreme highlight of this is two separate oners that take place late at night, during her time as a sex worker. Wandering through these pitch-black streets with only strong, skinny street lights to illuminate the scene, Pasolini follows Anna Magnani with a handicam type-setup, following her as she has a continuous monologue with several passersby. It’s a brilliant shot by Tonino Delli Colli who would later go on to shoot The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The dreamlike, anchorless way she walks through this void reflects how disconnected she is from her own life. She does sex work, but does her best to forget it - she holds some standard for herself that is based in a society that despises her, yet loves and adores her at the same time. The happy way she trades jokes between johns and other sex workers, while stumbling through this featureless space… it’s just incredible. Pasolini really did see the tangled web of his society and captured it like no other. It really reflects this social mobility and economic boom after the devastation of World War 2. An entire nation desperate to forget its past, yet unable to do so. Desperate to forge a new middle class while sneering at those who would comprise it.
4. Seven Chances
1925 - Buster Keaton
My beloved Blank Check has been covering the films of Buster Keaton, and I’ve been watching along. Buster is one of the geniuses of this medium, whose films remain timeless because of his relentless precision and thoughtful craft. This is one of his best films. Through silly circumstances, a young man learns he has to get married in less than 24 hours in order to inherit a large fortune. There are seven women with whom he could have a chance, and he messes it up with them all. Honestly, the title-to-premise connection is a bit weak, as he made many changes to the source material this film is based on. There’s a lot more rockslides than that plot description would have you believe. Even after nearly a hundred years, this succeeds in getting a real laugh out of me. There are too many jokes packed into each little moment for me to really isolate. It’s just perfect slapstick, perfect physical comedy the whole way through. Put your phone down and drink it in.
3. Europa ’51
1952 - Roberto Rossellini
A devastating film about a woman who changes in the wake of her young child’s suicide. My review on Letterboxd:
“Honestly this is too rich in psychologies, philosophies, and ironies for me to fully understand in one viewing. But I *loved* the transformation Bergman depicts over the course of the film. An incredible performance - going toe-to-toe with Giulietta Masina in one of her best cameos, too! I think this is something I'll be revisiting for years to come.
I write this in the wake of Jordan Neely's murder. It is incredible how mental illness is defined by what causes the slightest annoyance to those in power. We - and by 'we' I mean a specific class that operates our above ability to consent - lock up or kill the people most in need of understanding. Those who really just need positive human connection.”
This film creates an interesting parallel with Mamma Roma. Spoilers ahead: Mamma Roma also has a young boy who kills himself, but indirectly, dying of illness in a prison cell. He’s in prison because he was lashing out, just like the kid in this film was desperately crying for attention. His death was merely more direct, more immediate. These films form an interesting dialogue of similar subject matter, only really changed by the social classes of their protagonists. Mamma Roma longs for the status that Bergman starts with in Europe ‘51. Bergman ends up as shunned as Mamma Roma is at the start of her film. Fascinating examples of the cyclical ways women are demonized, no matter where they begin.
2. Out of Sight
1998 - Steven Soderbergh
What a fun film!!! Soderbergh is one of the best directors working right now, and my, does he work. I can’t think of anyone else who makes movies at the rate he does, and who is involved in so many different projects and genres. His films have wonderful movement and great characters. He’s a natural fit for Elmore Leonard’s writing. Leonard is a mystery to me - I’ve been watching a lot of films based on his stories with some friends, and on paper, they are all very generic tales with boilerplate characters. A female FBI agent who can “keep up with the boys.” A smooth talking criminal with a violent impulse. A charming thief. You’ve probably seen these characters in a million different works and can’t remember a single one of them - yet somehow, Leonard finds the situations and plot beats to make characters like Karen Sisco soar. Sisco is hunting Jack Foley, played by George Clooney in one of his steamiest appearances. He kidnaps her right before she can catch him, and they are forced to have a long conversation together while locked in the trunk of the getaway car. This starts an attraction that supports the rest of the film, filled with many twists and turns as one tries to reunite with the other - to fuck? To kill? To rope into the robbery? It will keep you guessing until the very end. I really love crime thrillers, and it’s no surprise that the director of Ocean’s Eleven is able to work with these incredible characters and craft some amazing scenes. Come for the romance, stay for the heist. Or come for the heist and stay for the romance. Just see it! It’s great!
1. The Wind Rises
2013 - Hayao Miyazaki
I had been holding off watching this for a long, long time. It can be hard to watch a film that you know will devastate you. When I heard Miyazaki had made a film about the act of creation and its futility, how even the best minds with the highest aspirations can lead to terrible destruction… oof. I was afraid of the mirror this film could turn out to be. Its tagline is “We must live” - how devastating is that? My mind goes to the final scene of Uncle Vanya.
The film soared even higher than I could have imagined. Yes, it made me cry, but it also left me feeling more hopeful about the world than I could have hoped for. It follows the life of Jiro Horikoshi, an airplane engineer who lived during the early 20th century and designed some of Imperial Japan’s fighter planes. The film flows seamlessly between his life and his dreams. It’s the perfect subject matter for Miyazaki. You can feel aspects of Miyazaki’s own life bleeding in at the edges - his quest for perfection, his relentless work ethic, the literal machinery that occupies his dreams. An early scene has Jiro speaking to one of his idols in a dream, literally having a sort of psychic communication as they trade notes on plane design. It’s immaculate. Anyone who is a creator has likely had similar conversations playing through their head, dreaming of what their heroes would say if they could read their work. I know I have. As our world faces disaster after disaster, as conflict becomes bloodier and the pursuit of art seems more pointless than ever, works like this reignite my will to keep going. We make the world a little better every time we use our imagination. When we dream, we can envision things as they should be, as they could be, not as they are. It lets us see all the wonderful possibilities that are out there. And if dreams just aren’t enough, remember, there is always love. Fragile, precious, everlasting love, which is immortal even when the people who share it die. This is what makes the wind rise. It’s what gives me hope for the future.
Reader, if you take anything away from this fleeting blog post, let it be the power of dreams and love. They are the best tools we have for fighting evil.

Thank you for reading! If you liked any of these thoughts feel free to follow me on Letterboxd, where I post reviews and keep meticulous track of every movie I watch. Look forward to more posts like these next month!

The Timeless Beauty of Pearl Gemstones: A Complete Guide
Pearl gemstones, also known as Moti in many cultures, have captivated humanity for centuries with their lustrous beauty and serene charm. Unlike other gemstones that are extracted from the earth, pearls are formed by living creatures, making them distinct in both their creation and significance. Whether used in jewellery or regarded for their healing properties, pearls continue to remain symbols of grace and elegance across the world. In this complete guide, we’ll explore the timeless allure of pearl gemstones, their types, symbolism, and how they can be incorporated into your life.

1. The Origin of Pearls: A Natural Wonder
Pearls are formed through a captivating natural process. They form inside the shells of certain mollusks, primarily oysters and freshwater mussels, when an irritant, such as a grain of sand, enters the shell. In response, the mollusk secretes layers of a substance called nacre around the irritant, forming the lustrous pearl. This process can take years, making pearls rare and precious.
2. Types of Pearls: From Classic to Contemporary
There are several types of pearls, each with its own distinct characteristics and appeal:
Saltwater Pearls: These pearls are formed in oysters in the ocean and are often known for their smooth texture and round shape. Famous varieties include Akoya, Tahitian, and South Sea pearls. Akoya pearls are typically smaller and whiter, while Tahitian pearls come in darker shades of green, black, and purple.
Freshwater Pearls: These are cultivated in freshwater mussels, mainly in China. They tend to have more irregular shapes and a wider range of colours, from white and pink to lavender and peach.
South Sea Pearls: Known for their large size and creamy, golden hues, South Sea pearls are one of the most sought-after types and are often associated with luxury.
Tahitian Pearls: These pearls are unique for their dark, exotic colours ranging from green to blue and black. They are often larger and have a thicker nacre layer than Akoya pearls.
Each type has its own charm and value, but all are prized for their timeless beauty.
3. The Symbolism of Pearls: Beauty and Wisdom
Pearls have deep cultural and spiritual significance in many societies. Historically, they’ve been seen as symbols of purity, wisdom, and wealth. In ancient Rome, they were considered a symbol of status and were reserved for royalty. In Hinduism, pearls are believed to bring emotional balance and enhance love and compassion.
In modern times, pearls symbolize grace, femininity, and sophistication. They are often given as gifts on significant occasions like weddings or anniversaries to represent the timeless beauty of the wearer’s love and commitment.

4. The Healing Properties of Pearl Gemstones
Pearls are not only revered for their aesthetic qualities but also for their healing properties. Many believe that wearing a pearl gemstone can bring about emotional healing, promoting peace, calmness, and balance in one’s life. They are thought to help with stress relief, reduce negative emotions, and foster better communication.
In astrology, pearls are associated with the Moon, and are believed to enhance the wearer’s intuition and emotional strength. They are often recommended for people who are sensitive or prone to emotional imbalance, as pearls are said to have a soothing and stabilizing effect.
5. How to Choose the Perfect Pearl Gemstone
Choosing the right pearl gemstone is a personal journey, as it depends on your aesthetic preferences, budget, and what you wish to gain from its symbolism or healing properties. Here are a few tips for selecting the perfect pearl:
Size and Shape: Pearls come in a variety of sizes, from tiny seed pearls to large South Sea pearls. Their shape can also vary, with round pearls being the most coveted, while baroque (irregular) pearls offer a unique, contemporary appeal.
Luster: Luster refers to the shine and reflective quality of a pearl. Pearls with higher luster are considered more valuable. Look for pearls with a bright, smooth, and reflective surface.
Surface Quality: Pearls can have surface imperfections, such as bumps or spots, which affect their overall appearance and value. The fewer the imperfections, the higher the quality.
Colour: While white pearls are classic, they come in various shades, including cream, pink, black, and golden. Select a colour that enhances your skin tone and matches your personal style.
Origin: Pearls from different regions can vary in price, with South Sea and Tahitian pearls being some of the most expensive due to their rarity and size.
6. Caring for Your Pearl Jewellery
Pearl gemstones require special care to maintain their beauty. Unlike other gemstones, pearls are more delicate and can be easily scratched or damaged by harsh chemicals. To preserve their luster, keep your pearls away from perfume, makeup, and harsh cleaning agents. Store them in a soft cloth pouch to prevent scratches and ensure they stay in pristine condition.

7. Pearls in Modern Jewellery
Pearls have experienced a resurgence in modern jewellery design, blending classic elegance with contemporary styles. Today, pearls are incorporated into a wide range of jewellery pieces, from minimalist necklaces to bold statement earrings. Whether you prefer traditional pearl studs or a more eclectic design, pearls remain an essential and timeless addition to any jewellery collection.
Conclusion
Pearl gemstones are the epitome of timeless beauty, offering not just a stunning aesthetic but also deep symbolism and healing benefits. From their natural formation process to their cultural significance, pearls continue to captivate and inspire people around the world. Whether you’re looking to add a pearl piece to your collection or seeking the emotional and spiritual benefits they offer, pearls remain as relevant today as they were centuries ago.
If you’re in search of a gemstone that embodies elegance, grace, and a deep connection to nature, the timeless beauty of pearls is sure to leave a lasting impression.

World Famous Astrologer in China
Pandit Kapil Sharma a Famous & Specialist Astrologer in China. And pandit ji solved more than 100 cases in China. He has more than 30 years experiences in astrology, Vastu, Vedic Astrology, Vashikaran & Blackmagic. he is also how what is the effect of astrology and how to work. If you want any type of help Love, relationship, marriage, Vashikaran etc contact us.
A Heritage – Chinese Astrology Chinese astrology is based on the old-style astronomy and charts. The progress of Chinese astrology is tied to that of start watching, which came to display during the Han Period (2nd century BC to 2nd century AD). Chinese astrology has a nearby relation with Chinese beliefs (theory of the three harmonies, paradise, earth and water) and uses the philosophies of yin and yang and perceptions that are not found in Western astrology. The five traditional spheres are related with the Wu Xing: • Venus—Metallic (Snowy Tiger) • Jupiter—Timber (Azure Dragon) • Mercury—Water (Black Tortoise) • Mars—Vigour (Vermilion Bird) • Saturn—Ground (Yellow Dragon) According to Chinese forecasting, a person’s intention can be determined by the place of the major spheres of the person’s birth along with the locations of the stars like the comets, Sun and Moon and the exact birth time and Zodiac Sign of a person. In addition to astrological interpretations of the divine bodies, the stars in the sky form the basis of many fairy stories. Thus, Chinese astrology has depended on Chinese beliefs with the philosophy of the harmonies and observations that are not found in Horse opera astrology. The 60-year sequence consists of two distinct cycles interrelating with each other. The first is the cycle of ten divine stems, namely the Five Basics(namely water, fire, wood, and earth, metal) in Yin and Yang systems. The second is the rotation of the twelve zodiac bodily signs or Worldly Branches. They are in a direction like this, the ox, rat, rabbit, tiger, snake, horse, monkey, pig and dog, dragon, horse, goat, rooster. In the country of Vietnam, they replace rabbit with a cat. However, traditional Chinese zodiac follows the (lunisolar) Chinese calendar;the switch-over time is the Chinese New Year, and not the 1stJanuary the way it is on the Gregorian calendar. Therefore, an individual who was born in January or primary February may have the sign of the preceding year. For example, if an individual was born in January 1970, his or she component would not be Yang Metal, rather it would be Yin Earth. In the same manner calendar year, 1990 was named the year of the Horse, anybody born from January 1to January 26, 1990, was considered to be born in snake year (the sign of the preceding year), because the1990 Year of the Horse did not initiate until January 27, 1990. For this motive, many online sign adders may give a person the incorrect sign if he/she was born in January or initial February. The foundation of ChineseAstrology is from Yin Yang and Five Basics, which are Metal, Water, Wood,Fire, and Earth. All Chinese Horoscope symbols, Rat, Cow, Tiger, Dog and Pig,Sheep, monkey, snake, dragon, rabbit, chicken, horse, twelve Chinese Zodiac emblems can be rehabilitated into Five Elements. Wish your family live luckier, richer, healthier, better-off and longer. The Chinese Admiral
Zheng He was a Muslim born in China’s mountainous province of Yunnan in 1372. Much of his achievements and adventures are, unfortunately, mainly folk tales and have not often been written down. Therefore, much of it should not necessarily be taken at face value.
Zheng He on one of his voyages (x)
The Ming Dynasty had been established in 1368, bringing to an end Mongol rule. At the Age of 11, Zheng He (his name was actually Ma He) was captured as a servant and castrated when Ming forces were sent to Yunnan to destroyed the last stronghold of the old regime. His reputation for bravery had be noted, however, and he was assigned to a royal household where over time he became very powderful. As an adult he was described as brave and quickwitted, a tall, heavy man with clear-cut features, long earlobes and a stride like a tiger.
When his master seized the Dragon Throne and became Emperor Yong Le, he made Ma He to Zheng He “ Admiral of the Western Seas”. Over the next three years an incredible flotilla of sailing ships was built under his direction, ushering in a golden period of exploration and trade for China as well as Tribute payments, and making her the most advanced seafaring nation in the world. Seven great exploration fleets commanded by Zhend He set sail between 1405 and 1433 to seven voyages, they were the mightiest the world had ever seen.
Reconstruction of the Fleet, by Ward Sarah, 2006 (x)
The ships of various designs, including huge junks, the famous treasure ships, which according to ancient Chinese chronicles measured up to 120 m long, 50 m wide, nine masts, red sails, 24 bronze guns and huge eyes of the bow and as well as a crew of 1000 Men. However, modern research on the treasure fleet suggests that these size figures are probably greatly exaggerated and that the largest treasure ships were only about 59m to 84 m in size. In addition to sailors and soldiers there were merchants, astrologers, craftsmen and priests on board.
Dimensions of Zheng He's treasure ship (120 m) and Columbus's Santa Maria (31 m), Illustration: Gregory A. Harlin/National Geographic Stock (x)
Zheng He’s fleet had a number of technological innovations, including magnetic compasses and watertight compartments, which would not be seen in European vessels for hundreds of years. He sailed to western Asia, Africa and Arabia, visting 40 countries. Some speculate that he reached America and even circumnavigated the world, others believed that he sailed off the shores of Australia. It is assumed today that he was actually only in Asia, Africa and Arabia. Of all the wonders he brought back, the most exciting to his countrymen was a giraffe from Somalia.
Tribute Giraffe with Attendant, by Shen Du, 1357 - 1434 In contrast to the other references, the Philadelphia Museum of Art considers this to be rather a later work by an unknown painter from the 16th century (x)
The Admiral of the Western Seas died in 1433 on the return voyage of the seventh expedition, other sources said that he died 1435, at least his Tomb lies near Nanjing. However, the large sarcophagus made of light-coloured stone in the Ox Head Mountains, which is officially considered a tomb and memorial, is demonstrably empty. Thereafter there were no more heroic voyages, for the journeys brought the imperial court no profit at all - on the contrary, they cost too much. New Chinese ruler ushered in 500 years of isolation; the logbooks of these seven voyages were destroyed, and the giant treasure ships abandoned and left to decay.

Halo! Here's a reddit link to information and research papers about onmyodo consolidated by other people and a link to an overview. Tried to summarize below bits and pieces that may be relevant to jjk (and which I tried to understand to the best of my abilities :P )
I think this will be the last time I write such a long-ass ask again, my apologies
About cursed spirits and mono
Court onmyojis in Heian used divination to find out the cause of things like curses, strange events (kaii), natural disasters, illness, why your dog is barking at a seemingly empty spot (answer: Megumi's divine dog is barking back) and so on. Strange events were referred to as mokke (物怪) or mono no satoshi (もノノサトシ) and believed to be omens of calamity that were caused by mono or "things" which could be anything like the curses of gods or something from the Imperial mausoleums. Furthermore, during the rule of Emperor Kanmu from end of Nara to early Heian, the Ritsuryo system of government began to crumble as imperial rule changed hands and political victims were feared as onryō (怨霊) that caused disease or death to the Emperor's nearest relatives (but not the Emperor himself). The fear of strange phenomena spread through the aristocrats and became commonplace. Onymojis were believed to be able to deal with the curse of mono as well (otherwise it's off to the chopping board for their jobs (and lives) they go, chop chop). And so the Imperial Court funded them to perform quelling rituals and ceremonies to appease gods, clear away damages by insects, pray for harvests and prevent the spread of epidemics (which ironically was exacerbated by the court's overspending and large-scale deforestation but that's another story). For individual cases like the spirits of living persons (ikiryō or ikisudama), or spirits of dead people (akuryō, ryō, onryō, shiryō or bōkon), onmyojis might determine that spiritual energy or evil spirits (mono no ke) was the cause but mikkyō genja (験者) or ritualists were the ones to subdue it by incantations. JJK cursed spirits resemble mono no ke in that they cannot be seen and may harm humans. Whereas jujutsu sorcerers are more like genja ritualists (complete with flashy kamehameha bombs) (and besides being cursed).
Lifespan rituals
The most popular theory for Sukuna's fixation with Megumi has already been covered by this blog owner with additional info on the Ten Divine Treasures. Another theory is that Sukuna could have been aiming for a higher level of enlightenment. Besides the Shinto-Buddhism angle, Onmyodo also has its own set of rituals concerning life and death. Onmyodo is basically a system of divination and techniques that focuses on worldly benefits and has no vision of the world after death. The rituals were instead based on the Chinese beliefs in honmyō (本命), Zokushō (属星) or the realm of the dead (冥界) and by the end of Heian, there were more than forty Onmyodo rituals to pray for the individual health and longevity of aristocrats (commoners: eat the rich 👎). For the terms honmyō and Zokushō, the closest meaning I can give without being too horribly misleading would be the life/destiny that you are born with according to your birth year, zodiac, constellation and so on. The most popular ritual was Taizan Fukun sai (泰山府君祭), which originated around the beginning of the tenth century and was closely associated with Abe no Seimei (yes that guy you keep seeing in anime). Taizan Fukun (泰山府君) is the lord of the eastern peak of Mt. Tai in China, a deity that summons the spirits of the dead and administers the lengthening and shortening of human lifespans. Twelve deities of the realm of the dead including Taizan Fukun were involved in this ritual. It was implemented on every honmyō day, but also as needed for illness, childbirth, natural disasters, and strange events. Media adaptations often depict Abe no Seimei (or other onmyojis) using the ritual for resurrection or reincarnation 😅 e.g. Tokyo Ravens, Shaman King, Onmyoji (2001). I don't think Gege will go for the same cliché trope for Sukuna but it's still interesting to know.
Seimei and Dōman (Gojo and Getou)
Anyone who knows about the folklores of Abe no Seimei 安倍 晴明 would be familiar with his eternal rival, Dōman 道満. Like Gojo who's the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, Seimei was the leading onmyoji specialist of his time. His position as the Kurōdo-dokoro onmyōji (highest-ranking onmyoji), legendary reputation and long lifespan lent to the notion that he had mystical powers due to being born from a human father and a kitsune mother. During Heian, Onmyodo referred to the organization of onmyojis under the control of high-ranking people of the same profession (kinda like the JJK elders) rather than the system of beliefs known today. Onmyōji with official status like Abe no Seimei would be kanjin onmyōji (官人陰陽師) or official onmyōji. Non-official onmyojis would include hōshi onmyōji (法師陰陽師) or priest onmyōji, who had the appearance of Buddhist priests (like how Getou was dressed as a cult leader), and presumably the control of the Onmyōdō did not extend to them. Official onmyōji, under the strict supervision of their superiors, would not have been permitted to have any connection with criminal acts such as curses. Instead, the Heian nobility turned to hoshi-onmyojis like Dōman to lay curses on their political rivals. There were many incidents involving curses within aristocratic society in Seimei’s time, and in a majority of cases the curses were placed by hōshi-onmyōji. Dōman himself had been spotted visiting a noblewoman, Takashina no Mitsuko, who employed hōshi-onmyōji to put a curse on several prominent political figures. Getou: "Let's curse each other... to our hearts' content!"
War onmyojis (and questioning of Gege's probable naming sense)
The Sengoku era treated court onmyojis poorly (ceremonies were expensive to fund). Warrior onmyodo being more practical (divining auspicious days for battle/forming alliances and exorcising evil spirits) became prominent instead. Academies that taught Confucian studies with divination and medicine as part of the curriculum flourished and the most famous was Ashikaga Gakkō (足利学校) (not as modern as Tokyo Jujutsu High though). Like Nanami and co. who became professional sorcerers, many of its students went to the battlefield as diviners and doctors. When peace returned during Tokugawa Ieyasu's rule, a few practitioners thrived by attaching themselves to powerful men. One would be Tenkai (天海) and another Kanshitsu Genkitsu, head of the Ashikaga Gakko. Being Ieyasu's bff, a temple Fushimi Enkoji (伏見円光寺) modeled after Ashikaga was built and Kanshitsu appointed as its head. Ieyasu also sponsored Kanshitsu's Fushimiban (伏見版), a publication project printed with wooden blocks. I'm definitely reaching here for Tengen and Fushiguro but I do wonder if Gege ever chanced upon those names.
🦆A Tail of Many Kamos: 鴨川, 下鴨, 鴨, 加茂, 賀茂 🦆
鴨川 - the Kamo river northeast of the Heian capital (modern Kyoto)
下鴨 - the Shimogamo Shrine (下鴨神社), a Shinto shrine dedicated to the Kamo family of kami
鴨 - the clan associated with the Kamo shrines and the famous poet-priest Kamo no Chōmei (鴨 長明) who witnessed the end of Heian. Also Bucephala albeola.
加茂 - Kamo no matsuri (加茂祭) or Aoi no matsuri (葵祭), an annual festival of Shimogamo Shrine and Kamigamo Shrine and one of the three major festivals in Kyoto, also one of the three big jujutsu clans (加茂家) in JJK. It's funny that Gege would choose a name with the same pronunciation as a real-life historic clan, which brings to the next point.
賀茂 - the formal name of the Shimogamo Shrine (賀茂御祖神社), also a once-prominent Heian Onmyoji family that died out during the Sengoku era. Thereafter, the Tsuchimikado (former Abe clan) took over their hereditary duties of keeping the calendar. Abe no Seimei's teacher was the astrology scholar (tenmon hakase 天文博士) Kamo no Yasunori (賀茂保憲). Could Kenjaku be based on Abe no Seimei as well?
The Musical Exorcist
The rock-n-roll grandpa, Gakuganji, might be based on the lesser known lute-priests called biwa-hoshi (琵琶法師) or zatō (座頭). Their musical style is referred to as heikyoku (平曲), which literally means "heike music". Accompanied by their mōsō-biwa (盲僧琵琶), the often-blind lay priests would chant Buddhist mantras, placate earth deities, perform spirit pacification chinkon (鎮魂) of vengeful spirits including onryō, communicate with the dead (Principal Yaga 😢), purify defilements haraikikyomeru (祓い清め) and border rites kyōkai girei (境界儀礼) that expel malign forces. The thesis "From Heike to Nomori no kagami" suggests that the musical practices and theories of Heike correlate with Yin-Yang principles. Which I will not further expound bcos I haz zero music theory knowledge and also this ask is far too long 😛 Hopefully Gakuganji will not remain blind to the less-than-holy intentions of the jujutsu higher-ups as the story continues.
Hello, lore anon! Thank you for compiling another stellar read!
Aaw, you'll be missed, but it's fine. Just do things and drop by if you feel like it.
Yes, onmyodo has a large influence on Japanese pop culture. Numerous manga takes their inspiration from onmyodo, jjk only one of them. Onmyouji had a very large political influence in the court. They were also a legit government position, literally civil servants back in the day.
The legend of Abe no Seimei and his rival Ashiya Douman is also famous. Abe no Seimei was said to be born from a kitsune (fox spirit) mother and human father, so he is often thought to not be fully human, hence his supernatural ability. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these characters is inspired by either Seimei or Douman; Sukuna, Kenjaku, or Tengen.
Kamo, yes, it seems that Gege actually takes the name of the clan. The fanbook said that Kamo clan arised to influence during the heyday of Heian period, the Golden age of Jujutsu. While it's lesser known, Kamo family is quite a legend too alongside Abe no Seimei in onmyoudou. As you said, Kamo no Tadayuki and his son Kamo no Yasunori has been known to teach Abe no Seimei.

I’ll do a commentary on my folklore fic “The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl” - Rated M, Mythology AU, Multi-chapter, Incomplete.
Image source from hinauzu on DeviantArt.
Tanabata (July 7, 7/7) a festival for an astrological legend, has been a popular art concept for Naruto characters. It celebrates the star-crossed love of Hikoboshi and Orihime, a story that has roots in China. The legend traveled to Japan with the trade of goods/services/religious conversions. Japanese people write wishes on slips of paper that they tie to bamboo in hopes that the gods will grant their heart’s desires.
Hikoboshi is the star known to Westerners as Altair, and Orihime is the star known as Vega. Both stars are part of the “Summer Triangle” with the star Deneb.
Image source from Ethereal on Aminoapps.
You can see how the two stars are separated by the Milky Way, aka the Amanogawa (River of Heaven), which forever dooms their love :(
Back to my fanfic!
I did a ton of Wikipedia on Greek/Chinese/Pacific Astronomy to come up with the world of my story :D Please enjoy my nerding :D
The story opens with Ino, the Princess of Horn, getting her wedding shiromuku made.
Image source from Hanami Mai’s Blog.
According to Chinese astronomy, the sky is separated into 28 “Mansions.” These Mansions are divided into 4 Symbols (7 Mansions per Symbol). “Horn” is the first Mansion of the Symbol called “Azure Dragon of the East.” That’s where Ino is from :)
Naruto is Hikoboshi, who “lives across the Amanogawa in Akira, and herds the cattle of Northern Genbu.”
Altair/Hikoboshi is the brightest star in the Western constellation Aquila (Akira). Aquila is located in the Mansion “Ox of the Symbol “Black Tortoise of the North.” Tortoise reads as “Genbu” in Japanese. That’s where Naruto is from :)
Hinata is the Weaver Girl, who sits “beside the Amanogawa, Orihime of Raira.”
Orihime is in the Western constellation Lyra (Raira). Lyra is also in the Mansion Ox in Black Tortoise of the North. Hinata and Naruto are from the same place, but the River of Heaven separates them from ever meeting without divine intervention.
Naruto is recognized for his mastery of his job, which is to guide “the cattle across the fields and back to their respective starhouses.”
The Disney movie Moana made Micronesian/Hawaiian navigation more famous, but the technicalities were not explained in the movie. All stars rise and set from named houses.
Image source from Hawaiian Voyaging Traditions.
The compass shown has the 4 Cardinal Directions (ʻĀkau, Hikina, Hema, Komohana) and the 4 inter-cardinal directions (Hoʻolua, Koʻolau, Kona, and Malanai). Each direction has 7 Houses. These House names repeat. A star that rises from Koʻolau Haka will set in Hoʻolua Haka. A star that rises from Malanai Lā will set in Kona Lā. A navigator memorizes where the sun and hundreds of stars rise and set during each season so that they know their position and direction at all times. This “compass” is actually a mental map.
From the navigator’s perspective, it looks like that in their mind. So, I made guiding the cattle to their houses Naruto’s job as a herder :)
“The air is shrouded tonight.” “How can he see where he is going?” “Simultaneously, astonishingly, incandescent, like the solar winds that, at times, surge across his fields.”
When navigators can’t see the sky, they use the direction of the waves/wind to tell their positions. For Naruto, it would be the wind blowing his fields rather than waves.
According to legend, Tentei, the Heavenly Sky King, Orihime’s father, arranges for them to meet. I have them meet at “The Pavilion of Swans.” Altair (Hikoboshi) and Vega (Orihime) are part of the Summer Triangle with the third star, Deneb, aka Cygnus, in other words Swan. That’s where I have them meet :)
They get married! Hinata wears a lot of different splendid kimono throughout the story. The shiromuku is the traditional bridal kimono, but it is common to change them! The last one she wears with the two cranes stretching across dark fabric is called a hikifurisode.
Image source from Kyoto Kimono Rental.
Cranes mate for life, so they are common symbols of loyalty used for weddings.
Hinata gets pregnant :D According to the Japanese legend, this doesn’t happen...but in Chinese legend, they have twins represented by the stars β Aquilae and γ Aquilae.
Here you see the two children with Altair. So that explains how I made Hinata’s plan that enrages her father :)
“It eventually became clear that what sounded to her like the river was rising, was actually the sound of numerous magpies. They amassed over the river, a cloud of white and grey, their flock almost disturbing in its powerful show of numbers. The azure-winged birds coalesced into one form, moving together and stretching above the river.”
Orihime and Hikoboshi are saved by the sympathy of magpies. Tradition says that if the sky is cloudy, the birds can’t go to help them meet on July 7. Tentei never helps them again, so it’s up to the people’s prayer and the strength of the magpies to keep the sky clear so that they can meet every year.
Magpies look different around the world! Magpies in China look mostly like the one pictured on the top, with blue-tipped wings. They’re known as symbols of good fortune and happiness. Magpies in Japan look mostly like the one pictured on the bottom, with gray and light blue feathers. Since this is a story with Japanese characters, I decided to go with the magpies found in Japan.
This is the kind of stuff I love learning :DDD So this is all the background going on in my mind while writing my fic!

Biwa hōshi (琵琶法師), also known as "lute priests", were travelling performers in the era of Japanese history preceding the Meiji period. They earned their income by reciting vocal literature to the accompaniment of biwa music. Often blind, they adopted the shaved heads and robes common to Buddhist monks. This occupation likely had its origin in China and India, where blind Buddhist lay-priest performers were once common.
Their musical style is referred to as heikyoku (平曲), which literally means "heike music". Although these performers existed well before the events of the Genpei War, they eventually became famous for narrating. Before biwa hōshi sang heikyoku, they were entertainers and ritual performers. They took on a broad range of roles, including poetry and song, plague prevention, and spiritual purification; actually, it was probably because of their ritualistic duties that they became the caretakers of The Tale of the Heike (平家物語, Heike Monogatari).
The biwa hōshi are considered the first performers of the Tale of the Heike, which is one of Japan`s most famous epics. It details battles between two powerful clans, the Minamoto and the Taira around the 12th century. The Taira (or Heike) were eventually annihilated by the Minamoto (sometimes called the Genji), who systematically killed every male descendant of the Taira.
Religion in Japan at the time incorporated many native animistic (Shinto) beliefs into its Buddhist theological framework, leading many court nobles and religious leaders to worry about angry Taira spirits disrupting the peace.[citation needed] The great earthquake around 1185 CE contributed to this sentiment. Since their rituals included placating spirits and preventing plagues, heike music became a vehicle for placating lingering, resentful Heike spirits. Heikyoku and biwa hōshi became immensely popular for the next several hundred years.
For most of Japan's recorded history, music along with narrative performance have been frequent professions for the blind, whose importance in most other major genres is also unavoidable, save for court and theatre music, from the thirteenth century until the nineteenth. Folk and literature attest "invariably about blind biwa hōshi and zatō", and only in modern times do sighted musicians master such instruments like the biwa.
Prior to the spread of Buddhism during the sixth to ninth centuries, it was "generally acknowledged that in Japanese ritual life blind men and women [were] respected as shamanic celebrants who bore numinous power because of their separation from the world experienced by others"
Historically, the blind performed healing rituals for curing illness and exorcising spirits. For music, plucking or striking string instruments also have ritual meanings, and were tasks probably given to blind individuals to perform in belief of their shamanistic abilities.
An azusa yumi (梓弓), is a sacred bow (yumi) used in certain Shinto rituals in Japan, as well as a Japanese musical bow, made from the wood of the Japanese azusa (梓) or Japanese cherry birch tree (Betula grossa)
The Azusa Yumi was utilized for summoning deities in a pre-Buddhist ritual, likely involving the blind. The role of early biwa hōshi in delivery the vocal performance of battle tales "to allay the fury of slain warriors' ghosts" further implies a shamanistic qualification of the blind.
Historical references suggest biwa hōshi were involved in both divination and also in this fundamental role of placating aggravated spirits, especially those killed in battle.
The intimate ties between the biwa and the blind in the Tōdō and various regional groups for mōsō (盲僧, "blind priests") further cement this inseparable relationship. Blindness was a necessary condition for membership in these organizations, which looked after blind heike performers and professionals and blind biwa ritualists respectively
Buddhist iconography throughout East and South-East Asia depict short-necked lutes being played by celestial beings as well as the Hindu goddess Saraswati, who led such divine musicians. Avatars of Sarasvati, "the biwa-playing Hindu goddess of music, wisdom, and eloquence", also play the lute in Tibetan and Chinese iconographic displays; such avatars correspond to Benzaiten, a Japanese deity known for holding a biwa in her benevolent arms.
Japanese iconography indicates two female lute-playing deities: Benzaiten and Myōonten; their identities are often fused together, but both have their roots in the continental Asian tradition, and can be traced from Sarasvati through various forms. Benzaiten represents eloquence while Myōonten epitomizes music itself. As the bodhisattva named "Miraculous Sound", Myōon Bōsatsu is described in the Lotus Sutra and was important for biwa players in court society. Her influence would spread beyond the court, integrating itself especially in the biwa hoshi tradition.
Despite the depiction of Benzaiten, the patron deity of music revered by biwa hōshi and mōsō, as a female entity and the existence of highly celebrated female biwa players in twentieth century, with the "exception of avocational performance by women in the court music tradition", professional biwa players were men until the shamisen's use in the sixteenth century
Itinerant women performers did still exist in medieval Japan, though they are most frequently shown playing the tsuzumi drum. In the Edo period, singers called goze often accompanied themselves on the shamisen or koto, the latter of which was played by "affluent blind women who taught it to the wives of samurai and merchants".
Though blindness in Japanese society has historically been stigmatized "as the result of a Buddhist interpretation of the condition as a form of karmic punishment", other factors also led to the marginalization and discrimination of blind musicians. In general, the blind were treated according to the restrictions of their societal rank.
In other words, commoner townsman (chōnin) and warrior–rank blind people "were allowed to engage in the professions available to all of similar rank, within the constraints of their visual impairment", while those in agrarian households were expected to contribute to the payment of land taxes via any means of labor possible. However, the most common professions for all such peoples included music, massage, acupuncture and moxa therapy, while ritual work was common in specialized locations

A Heritage – Chinese Astrology
Chinese astrology is based on the old-style astronomy and charts. This Chinese Astrology practices equilibrium theory of Yin-Yang Five Elements (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire andEarth) to forecast what is expected in the future of people. Unlike other horoscopes, this Chinese Astrology won’t tell your behavior or your relationships with people, which you should recognize better than anyAstrology.

What is Martial arts?
From what i have research, martial arts are the systems and traditions of combat practiced for a number of reasons like self-defense; military and law enforcement applications; physical, mental, and spiritual development; and the preservation of a nation’s intangible cultural heritage. The term martial art has become associated with the fighting arts of East Asia but it originally referred to the combat systems of Europe as early as the 1550s. Chinese martial arts originated during the legendary, possibly apocryphal, Xia Dynasty more than 4000 years ago, It is said the Yellow Emperor Huangdi introduced the earliest fighting systems to China. The yellow Emperor is described as a famous general who before becoming China’s leader, wrote lengthy treatises on medicine; astrology and martial arts. One of his main opponents was Chi You who was credited as the creator of Jiao Di, a forerunner to the modern art of Chinese Wresting. Also, the foundation of modern Asian martial arts is likely a blend of early Chinese and Indian martial arts. During the Warring States period of Chinese history around 480-221 BC that extensive development in martial philosophy and strategy emerged, as described by Sun Tzu in The Art of War(孙子).
Furthermore, unarmed martial arts can be broadly grouped into those focusing on strikes, those focusing on grappling, and those that cover both fields, often described as hybrid martial arts. Strikes such as Punching lie boxing, Wing Chun, Karate; Kicking like Taekwondo, Capoeira, Savate; and Lethwei, Muay Thai, Kung Fu, Pencak Silat, Kalaripayattu. I kind of like the idea of Wing Chun.
Wing Chun WingChun also romanised as Ving Tsun or Wing Tsun. It is a Chinese martial art and style of kung fu that utilizes both strking and trapping while specializing in close range combat. It has the distinction of being of the rare matial art styles, if not the only martial art style that was invented by a woman. As why Wing Chun so famous in modern martial art history is because one of the world top martial arts aritsit name Bruce Lee. The largest influence on Lee’s martial arts development was his study Wing Chun. Lee began training in Wing Chun when he was only 16years old by the Wing Chun teacher Yip Man in between late 1956 and 1957.
