i've said this before (a very long time ago), but in general, when most people are interested in tarot, they tend to ask about and lean towards content that speaks about the future (ex. future spouse, next 5 years, next career endeavor, etc), but i’ve realized that falling into that trap of future readings can be harmful if it’s all one ever thinks about.

thinking about the future is great of course, and it’s fun and sometimes comforting to think about the future and what successes and highs one might claim, but too much focus on the future makes it hard for one to focus on the present.

you can’t ever reach that future if you’re so wrapped in the fantasy of it that you forget to bring yourself to the present and work on whatever is needed in order to get there.

Things have been real fucking hard since October both in our Monsta X/Monbebe family and in my own personal life. You’ve kept me and so many others going, hoping, working to do anything we can to try to help the situation and show that we weren’t backing down or giving up no matter what. Your updates kept me sane for so very long, and made it so much easier for me to understand the situation as it progressed and evolved without having to sift through so much stuff daily when everything else going on is so complicated and draining on its own.

And not only did I receive all of that from you, I was also gifted with your friendship along the way, and that is one of the most precious gifts I’ve ever received. A: ok not. to sound insane i guess but anyways. yeonjun

i really relate to his history of struggling w/ self confidence and honestly just faking it til you make it. like just saying it often enough until you believe it. it helped me a lot when i was a teenager + going into college and helped me be more extroverted + talk to people.. also his sense of dramatics. like ik it may not seem like it because im a lot more mellowed out on tumblr dot com but im . dramatic and hyperactive in real life. like i call him annoying (affectionate) bc i look at him and go "me too lol<3"

also his drive + hating losing + wanting to be better while also knowing you have a long way to go + knowing you havent really made it....like oh for SURE i relate to just how he feels about work and drive + passions ... its really how i felt in school and college.. even my hobbies . i take pride in being really detail oriented + a perfectionist and i like knowing im doing well...when i was younger i definitely could be a little cocky but it was mellowed by that lack of self-confidence at the same time 💀

Chap 16. ‘My first and last’

You're both cleaning up a little, in silence. Not a word have left your mouths since the guys left. After a few minutes there's nothing else to clean and you just decide it's time to speak again.

-Renjun...

-Hm?

-Are you still mad?

-Kinda. -He says, putting away the last piece of trash.

-Are you mad at me?

He looks at you. -Why would I be mad at you?

-I don't know. -You laugh a little. -You're not talking to me so...

-Ah, I'm sorry I was just thinking.

-About what?

He blushes. It's hard to notice cause he's far away from you but still you can tell. -Nothing.

-What? C'mon! Tell me. -You say, walking towards him.

-It's nothiing. -He says laughin as you look into his eyes.

-Are you thinking that I'm old and you're afraid that I'll murder you if you tell me?

He chuckles. -No way!

-I'm tiny but I could kill you. -You say.

-I know that. -He strokes your hair gently and you kiss him.

You must have hated him a lot before cause this feeling right now is limitless. He's kissing you passionately and you almost feel like crying. You don't even understand why. By the time you stop kissing your lips are red and kinda swollen. It's hella late when you finally move to the bedroom. So there's just a few more lazy kisses before falling asleep.

It's 10 in the morning when you feel Renjun's arms hugging you. You open your eyes to see his face next to yours. It's only at times like this when you feel lucky for being such a light sleeper. You feel the butterflies in your stomach just by the sight of him and the sound of his slow breathing. You stroke his hair and caress his face gently, then you give him a peck on the lips before going back to close your eyes as you cuddle into him. A while later you can feel something again. He's not moving but you can tell he's awake.

-Did I woke you up? -He ask as he realizes you're looking at him.

-Kinda. -You smile.

-But I didn't move or anything! -He complains and you laugh.

-I know. I'm sorry I just could feel it. I can't explain it, I'm just weird like that. Anyway I woke up earlier I just curled up again with you.

-Ah, you did? I was trying so hard not to wake you up...

You laugh again. -Aww, thank you. -You say as you kiss him. -Should we get some breakfast?

He nods and follows you to the kitchen. You're not actually hungry but you know he is. -Should I make some tea? -He asks.

-Yeah, that sounds good. -You say as you look for some muffins you know you have somewhere. -Ah! -You exclaim as you find them. -By the way this is all I have. If you want we can go for something else later.

-Nah, it's okay. -He says, kissing your forehead.

You close your eyes to feel the warmth of his lips over your skin. He grabs your hands and you rest your head on his chest. Hearing his heartbeat. When you look up to meet his eyes he catches you in a kiss. You feel the heat running through your body as his kisses grow more and more passionate. It doesn't take long before you're on top of the kitchen counter. His hands wandering up and down your thighs, his mouth on your neck running down to your chest, like if he suddenly were in a hurry. You press him against you, surrounding him with your legs to feel how hard he actually is. He kisses you before pulling away from you for a second. Just the time for him to take off your underwear. You bite and kiss his already bruised neck as you press him against you again. You're as thirsty for him as he is for you. Then you hear a noise, the teapot is whistling louder and louder for every second that passes. Renjun sighs highly frustrated and you know exactly what he's thinking, 'the universe doesn't want you two to fuck or something'. But he just throws the teapot into the sink and comes back to you. Kissing you eagerly. He groans softly as he finally slides inside you and starts moving. His hands on your hips to help with the pace and his face buried into your chest from time to time, biting and sucking here and there. Your moans get louder as you get closer and he looks at you in the eyes, making you blush.

-Don't look at me. -You say as you push his face away.

He laughs and slows the pace a little. -But you are so pretty, I can't help it.

-Shut up. -You can't look at him right now. -And don't stop, idiot. -You say with a tiny voice.

He smiles to himself and starts moving faster. It doesn't take long before you start getting close again. You can feel your orgasm building and you let him know. He's close too. You're delighted to find out he makes such pretty noises when he's close to cumming.

You're more than ready for a round two but you have to go to work. Boah allowed everyone in that trip to arrive later to the office that day but still you have to go. So when Renjun leaves to his house to find some other clothes you take a shower and get ready too.

Only this time they're a bigger group. Maybe the guys earned some new fans. You enter the building thinking about that. -My god. I'm sorry. -He says. He's speaking english. -Let me help you. -He offers his hand.

You're kinda dumbstruck by his good looks but grab his hand anyway. -I didn't see you, sorry. -You apologize.

-It's totally my fault. I was running around. -He has an accent.

-I'm sorry, where are you from? -You ask directly. -Not a lot of people speaks english around here...

-Ah, I'm actually from Australia.

-I see. -You say, fixing your clothes.

-Do you work here? Jisung and I are here for a photoshoot.

-Huh, Jisung? -You say. Is he talking about your Jisung?? -Yeah, I work here...

-Yeah. Cool. -He turns around and calls him out. -Jisung mate, come here. -(It wasn't your Jisung).

-What? -The other guy looks clueless. He does speak korean.

-I just bumped into this girl. She works here, maybe she works with us today.

-Ah, no... -You interrupt him. -I'm actually an editor so...

-Oh really? That's a pity. Anyway I'm Felix, and he's Jisung. We're from 'Stray Kids', it's a kpop group.

-Ahhh, that explains why there're more fans than the usual outside.

-Yeah, I don't know how they do it but they know everything.

-Tell me about it. -You laugh and they look at you as they don't understand. -It's a long story. -You say. -My name is Skyler by the way. Nice to meet you guys. Maybe I'll come by and watch how you work with my team.

-Yes, come visit us please. -Felix says as you go away.

You can hear Jisung asking him what was all that about before getting into the hellevator. When you arrive to your actual office Mark is already there. He looks tired as he draws something.

-Hey. -You greet him as you sit down next to him.

-Hi. -He sounds tired too.

-Are you mad about last night? -You ask trying to make eye contact.

-Nah, I talked to Renjun. -He says without meeting your eyes. -I'm just tired, I couldn't fall asleep till it was too late. I guess I got used to party all night.

-Ah yeah, I know that feeling. -You sigh. -Hey, have you seen those guys downstairs? 'Stray Kids' or something like that.

-Yeah, I talked to one of them, he heard me speaking with my sister on the phone and asked me about some stuff in english. His accent is so weird lmao.

You laugh and hit him on his arm. -I Liked the accent. He seems nice.

-He looks nice too doesn't he? -He asks. Raising a brow. -There's a lot of people talking about it. Mostly girls.

-Ah, does he? I didn't notice.

He laughs. -Oh sure, you're blind now. Are you worried I may tell Renjun? I won't.

-What are you talking about I just didn't care about his looks. -You laugh.

-Okay, okay. How's my baby bro?

-Your baby bro?

-Renjun?

-I don't know, he must be downstairs I guess.

-You didn't go see him?

-Not yet... He must be tired of seeing me. -You laugh.

He laughs out loud. -What are you talking about? He's so whipped for you.

-Sure. He just goes around spilling drinks on people's heads for no reason. -He jokes.

-Well that girl had it coming. I was about to fight her to be honest. -You say crossing your legs as you lay back.

-Yeah, I heard. -He says, back on his drawing. -Anyway, don't be stupid and go see that idiot, you know he can't leave his place as easy as you.

-Hey, what are you doing here? -Renjun asks with a soft voice. He's smiling tho.

-Ahh well, since you're so whipped for me I just thought to come and visit you. -You joke and he blushes.

-What?

-I'm just kidding. -You laugh.

-Hey! You came. -That accent again.

-Huh? -You turn to see Felix running towards you. -Ahh, yeah... -You say, then turn again to face Renjun. -Are you taking their pics?

-Yeah. They asked for me.

-No wonder why. -You smile at him. -He's the best, Felix. You just do as he says, okay?

-Sure! By the way, some guy named Lucas told me there's a party later, are you guys coming too?

You look at Renjun and he shrugs. -Another party? I don't know... It's monday ya know... -You say.

-Oh, come on guys! It's my first time at a party ever. Our contracts wouldn't allow us to go out earlier.

-You haven't been at a party ever? How old are you?

-23 but I was born on september so I guess actually 24.

-Ah, so you're the same age. -You point at Renjun and Felix. -Okaay. -You sigh. -I guess I'll go. It's kinda sad you don't have someone like me at a party. Also wow, first real party at 24, you deserve to have fun.

-Yes! Great. Thank you. -Are you coming too?-He's looking at Renjun now.

-Sure, who wants to sleep anyway.

-Skyler. -Blair is calling you for the third time. -Stop staring at them, it's creepy.

-But they look so cute together. -You say looking across the room to Chloe and Wonho who are cuddling in the sofa.

You look around the room and find Renjun chatting with some other guys but your sight gets blocked by another person. -Hey! I was looking for you. Lucas says we're gonna play something.

-Ah, Felix.. Hey.  

-Hurry, let's go. -You can see Renjun being dragged too by Lucas behind Felix.

-Okay, I guess...

Lucas stands while everyone else sits down. -Guys tonight there's a new rule. You can't give up your clothes, you have to play no matter what the dare is. -You feel some butterflies in your stomach. Not the good kind. You know Lucas has an agenda you just don't know what it is about. There's Renjun across from you. He's moving one of his legs nervously as he sips on his drink nonstop. You drink yours aswell. -Okay, let's spin the bottle.

Nothing weird is happening for now, just Lucas asking every girl the bottle points to, to kiss him as a dare. Then there's this Felix guy who won't stop looking and smiling at you shyly. When the bottle stops in front of him he chooses dare.

-I dare you to say who would you actually make out with in this circle. -Lucas says.

Felix smiles to himself and for the first time he's not looking at you but the floor. -Ah, hyung. -He says. -I'll have to say I'm curious about Skyler.

Lucas woos and winks at him. -Noted. -He says. Then spins the bottle again. -Oh wow, another pretty girl huh. -He says. -What will I dooo? -Everyone laughs cause they know he's gonna make her kiss him. But instead he does something else when she chooses dare. -Why don't you go and kiss my boy Renjun?

-Oh, okay. -She says. -He's cute too. -She crawls towards him and gives him a peck on the lips. He looks at Lucas with a wondering expression but he just laughs. Maybe it's some kind of revenge for what happened with that other girl.

That bottle seems to have its faves, cause it stops in front of Felix again. And the next thing you know he's kissing you. Then another girl’s turn, and again Lucas sends her and 'a friend of hers' to Renjun. -Girls just kiss him or touch him I don't know, try to turn him on. -He says. And Renjun is not the only one making a face about that. Mark, Jisung (Park) and some others are starting to think this is too much. You're burning inside of course. But you're not mad, just sad about Lucas playing with you two like that.

The girls are aproaching Renjun and he's visibly uncomfortable with it.

-Stop it. Stop! -He says as he get's up abruptly. Getting those girls off him.

-What's wrong bud? -Lucas asks, mockingly.

-I get it, you're mad about the other night. But that's enough. Stop sending all these girls to me and that fucking pretty boy to Skyler, I can't stand it.

He laughs. -Why are you so mad? It's just a game. -Lucas asks. -It's just like in the other parties, man. Chill.

-Oh my god. -He lets out a frustrated sigh. -I'm mad because I love her, okay? Is that what you wanted to hear? Well, there it is. I am in love with Skyler so stop it. I don't want to kiss or touch anybody else. I'm tired of having to play these stupid games.

The room falls silent for a moment. Then you see almost everyone passing some money to eachother.

-Fuck. I thought you two were just fooling around. -Lucas says as he gives the money to Felix. -I can't believe you won the bet when you just arrived today. -He tells him.

-Man, I told you they were exclusive. -Felix laughs keeping the money in one of his pockets.

-What the hell is going on? -You ask.

-We started a bet since that time Johnny saw you two kissing in that party. -Taeyong says.

-You knew about this? -Renjun asks Mark.

-Dude if I knew I would have joined in. I could have made some money. -Mark sighs.

-Anyway, that's it for tonight everyone. We have work tomorrow. -Lucas says kicking everybody out. He's kinda pissed after loosing his money.

You're chatting with Chloe on the street when you hear some familiar voices behind you.

-Omg, go talk to her, idiot. -That's Mark talking. You're pretty sure he's pushing Renjun towards you.

You're not gonna lie. You're nervous. Your heart almost dropped when you heard Renjun say those words. Not in a bad way.  You just didn't expect him to say it. Just like the rest of the people there. Anyway, you turn around to face him before he does. You don't want things to get awkward so you speak first.

-Renjun. There you are. -He just listens. -Are you walking me home? -You smile at him.

-Ah... Sure. -He says. Mark and Jisung pat him on his back and leave.

-See you tomorrow Skyler. -Chloe says as she walks away with Wonho.

-Yeah, see you. -You smile at them and then talk to Renjun again. -Let's go?

He nods and walks besides you. He seems kinda worried so you hold his hand and smile at him. -What are you thinking? -You ask.

-Huh?

-You look worried. -You say, laughing. -Don't tell me you're not.

-Well, I'm not exactly worried.

-So?

He sighs. -I just... I didn't want to blast off like that.

-I see. You didn't mean it?

He looks at you, eyes wide open. -Of course I meant it.

-Ah... -You blush. -Then... I kinda like you said it. Even if it was like that...

He blushes too. -You do?

-Yeah I didn't get to give an answer earlier but... Honestly, I feel the same way.

-Wah, you do?? -He's smiling like a child right now.

You chuckle. -I just told you.

-I know... -You walk for a while without talking till he breaks the silence. -So, can we like... Date? Like, you know... Officially date?
