Why MMA? Why Pole? Why together?

Because they’re kissing cousins. Because when I did Muay Thai I had bruises and blisters and callouses on my knuckles, and when I started pole dancing I got bruises and blisters and callouses on the other side of my hand. Because pulling your shoulder in a shoulder mount hurts just as bad as pulling your shoulder in the ring. Because fonjis look like you’re arm bar-ing the pole. Because the labor of mastery in the gym requires the same insanity as on the pole. Because both the ring and the pole are personal dojos.

Because women.

I love MMA and I love pole. They were meant to be together.
