Mixed feelings about a new Trigun anime.

On the one hand, I am Intrigued as to what is meant by a new story, and that Vash appears to have black sides to his hair in the trailer Implies Things if you've read the manga.

On the other, I'm not sure if I dig Vash in a modern anime style, especially as his hair's not sticking straight up in the trailer, and I'm afraid they'll have gotten rid of the fun that is the Trigun soundtrack.

#phoenix sounds #I like precisely one anime/manga and it's Trigun #Which isn't to say I'm not ready to rip it into a thousand pieces; you know me I love to critique media #But yeah I think I'd describe my emotion to this announcement as wary #If the black hair thing is real that means the story might take some Real Interesting Turns #But I do have a worry that the unique parts of the original manga and anime might get too modern of a gloss #The funky soundtrack is a damn classic and the original artstyle really vibed well with the setting and the characters #Which is all to say I would like a new Trigun anime to dive into the batshit weirdness of the manga #Without losing the style and the groove that made the first anime memorable
