Witchy Herbs: Wood Sorrel
This plant is edible and used for medicinal purposes.
This plant was used by the native tribes the Kiowa people chewed wood sorrel to alleviate thirst on long trips, the Potawatomi cooked it with sugar to make a dessert, the Algonquin considered it an aphrodisiac, the Cherokee ate wood sorrel to alleviate mouth sores and a sore throat, and the Iroquois ate wood sorrel to help with cramps, fever and nausea.
Yellow wood sorrel is also known as sour grass because its leaves have a mildly sour taste. In fact, every part of this flower, including the leaves, flowers, and seed pods, are edible. Sorrel is a common addition to salads, soups, and sauces and can be used to make tea.
It contains high levels of vitamin C, potassium oxalate, and oxalic acid, the last two of which can be potentially hazardous to people with kidney disease, arthritis, or gout. Medicinally, in moderate dosages, wood sorrel is soothing to the stomach, relieves indigestion, astringent, and catalytic. It's also attributed with blood cleansing properties and is sometimes taken by cancer patients.
To make a tea:
1 cup common wood sorrel.
2 cups boiling water.
Steep the leaves in the boiling water for 10 minutes. It is delicious unsweetened but you can also stir in some honey. The cold tea is lemonade-like and can be added to home-made juices and punch.
Disclaimer: This is not medical advice. Always use at your own risk!

• As for the rest, which is mainly the
Folklore and History saerdections of the plant, which are mostly from early 1300 to 1509 to Ireland in the main region.
Folklore: mainly 1200 to 1394 for the most knowns. It was said that if one were to encounter a Lerkimon in particular that there would be the end of the world and that there would be the new beginning of time. Of course most of the stories revolve around the world begin engulfed in flames after a Lerkimon was stolen from Stryx (The god of Fire). Others are mainly in the background of the Lerkimons of the pieces are those such as Daedalus and Perceliopolis among many of the tricks that are known by those who are of full knowledge of the lerkimons themselves know that it was brought upon the others as a punishment for their actions and crimes against the gods and their unworthy deeds, which makes the Lerkimons a symbol of the grace rather than an object of their duty. The Lerkimon is also known as a symbol of Lughd and Lardu in which they were both the brothers of the gods of war, but due to the Lerkimons in their respective regions of the Daerden (The Nortb and the Soutb) it is often seen in their last nights of their respective lives but rather as the most sacred texts which have it being known as the Laeser (The Last Day of Baer) which is the last night in which they were given a chance to show their name or their faith towards father, and those whom did not were punished by the Lerkimons in their own right and realms. Another Of which is Loki, whom was also well known elsewhere was forced by the King of the Laeser and Baen to be a member of his former society in the early 1309 to 1310 during his banishment from the throne of the Esaer (The Tbrone of Salt and Saints of which is the one whom is on said throne is the laen or the God of Punishment but rather than accept the truth of his own actions as the laen (which had been mostly tricks and lies and thievery) he decided to take upon himself in hindsight a punishment from the main King for no devotion and no mercy, of which mostly ends up being the beginning of the end for the rest of his history and his own life as in which there’s no return and no redemption among no retributions and no maecer (of which is honor and titles). It became clear that those who would willing despise the King and the gods including those who were in the midst of War were then sent into the hands of the Laen and the Emperor or other forces of their own power.
It was also a symbol of the gods of the Lake (In the area of Camelot and beyond that it became a symbol of the ancient gods of Daser (Dugh and Saen), the two of which were gods of Death and Prosperity in 1409. The known legends of the two of which are small but very long into which the base of which is that they were the only ones who were able to survive the Fires of the Temple of Haver and the Holy Ghost. The latter of which is known as the Faer or God of Etenal Doom. Of which is often called the Dark Souls of the Dead. The latter of the Concept of the Faer is those who were unable to be guided towards peace or the ones whose devotion and courage were not present.
History of the Lerkimons plant dates back towards 1009 and early 1370. During which period of history they were known to be a significant part of the population of Olan and the surrounding region. They were known as the “Salt Burn Plant” or the Saelt (Of which is the smallest of the names given by it towards its origins). Origins of which are Okaer (The Old North) In which the plant is located in the valley of the Old North Fork. Used mostly for driving the Baeler (The Golden Age of which it was the earliest known plant there and of which it drives tbe earliest inhabitants of the flame valley in North Saek (Northern Ireland) and it was the oldest known plant in the region of South Aeser (Southern New Zealand).

Guide to Drying Herbs
Drying herbs is a simple practice, and there are several methods to choose from depending on the type of herb and your desire use. Here's how I dry my herbs:
1. Drying on Newspaper
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This method works well for larger leaves and herbs that don’t need to be hung.
Lay the herbs flat on a clean sheet of newspaper in a single layer.
Place the newspaper in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
Turn the herbs occasionally to ensure even drying.
Once the herbs are dry and crisp to the touch, they’re ready for storage.
2. Hanging Herbs Upside Down
Tumblr media
Perfect for longer herbs, like rosemary, lavender or thyme, that can be tied together.
Gather small bunches of herbs and secure them with a cord or string.
Wrap the herbs loosely in a breathable cloth, like cheesecloth or muslin. This helps them air freely while catching any small leaves or flowers that may shed during the drying process.
Hang the bunches upside down in a cool, dry place with good airflow. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can degrade the color and potency.
Once the herbs are completely dry (they should crumble easily), remove the leaves or store them as they are.
I do this with fresh lavender that I put in my closet as shown in the picture.
3. Pressing Herbs
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This method is ideal for preserving delicate leaves or flowers for decorative purposes or rituals.
Place the herbs between sheets of paper (such as parchment or regular printer paper).
Insert the paper into a thick book, ensuring the herbs are spread flat and evenly.
Place additional books or a weight on top to press them.
Leave them for 1–2 weeks, checking occasionally for dryness.
4. Drying Small Petals
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For small, delicate petals or flowers, a rule bag works wonders.
Place the petals or flowers in a breathable rule bag (such as a mesh or cotton drawstring bag).
Hang the bag in a dry, ventilated area.
Shake the bag gently every few days to prevent clumping and to ensure even drying.
General Tips for Best Results
Use Breathable Cloths: Wrapping your herbs or laying them on a breathable cloth allows air to circulate freely, preventing mold while catching any small leaves or flowers that shed during the drying process.
Timing: Dry herbs as soon as possible after harvesting to retain their potency and fragrance.
Environment: Choose a dry, cool, and ventilated area to prevent mold or mildew.
Labeling: If drying multiple herbs, label them to avoid confusion.
Storage: Once dried, store your herbs in airtight containers away from sunlight and moisture.
Using Dried Herbs
Always check if the plant is safe for use before collecting it. Do not make tea or touch anything with unknown properties. Always clean your plants before drying.
Once your herbs are dried, you can use them for teas, rituals, incense, or other magical and practical purposes. Always remember to respect and honor the plants you've harvested by using them mindfully.

🍄 🐸 🌷 🥀 🐌 // poison garden // gouache on hot press paper
everything pictured in this piece is a poison: henbane in blue, belladonna in green, amanita muscaria in red, rosy bonnet in pink, lily of the valley, strawberry poison dart frogs, hickory tussock moth & caterpillar, ladybug. not the snails, though! they're just hanging.
[id: an illustrative gouache painting on a dark background. lush intertwined botanicals with textured blue and green leaves weave between red, white, and pink flowers. red frogs and ladybugs perch on stems, colorful pink and red mushrooms burst from the ground, and a moth hangs off a leaf. snails stroll quietly over the tops of mushrooms and along the ground. /end id]

“People quake with fear because I have the power to make them afraid.”
A plant of Dankilitry has the power to put fear where it wants and belongs. Each plant has in itself the power to be not only protective but persuasive and persistent. They have the power to bring about Hope and Peace amongst other things. When used the wrong way, they bring about War, Deskilitry, and Prakilitry.
Each plant has a unique characteristic of it that gives it its own distinctive meaning. A plant that has the traits of Dankilitry only has 12 strands of Hope attached to it. The first is Vornkilitry, while the second is Arkilitry, and the third is Worpkilitry.
