You want to see real sorcery happen in your life?
Start talking to yourself.
Comfort yourself when you’re down.
Soothe yourself when you’re hurt.
Encourage yourself when you’re scared.
Feeling nostalgic? Tell yourself some memories.
Messed up? Tell yourself it will be fine.
Time to sleep? Tell yourself good night.
When you’re tired, ask yourself to take a break.
When you’re panicking, get yourself to breathe.
When you win, congratulate yourself.
If you do these things sincerely and consistently, you will witness true sorcery.
Your body will start healing itself for you.
Your heart will start feeling whatever you want it to.
Your mind will start changing your environment to fit you.
No one in this world will love, nurture and protect you as much as you will yourself.
But as with everyone else, you first have to earn yourself’s devotion and loyalty.
So start talking to yourself today. What’s the first thing you will say?

Explain the basic: sigils.
I genuinely can’t remember if I’ve already talked about sigils, but I couldn’t find any post where I did. So, here we go again (maybe it’s time-shifted—who knows?).
What Are Sigils?
Sigils are symbols created to represent a specific intention or desire in witchcraft. They are often unique, crafted by combining letters, shapes, or personal designs that resonate with the practitioner’s goal. Once charged with energy and intent, they act as a focus for manifesting that goal.
How Are Sigils Used?
Creation: A sigil is designed through a process that typically involves writing down the intent, simplifying it into symbols, and arranging the symbols into a unique design.
Activation: The sigil is "charged" with energy by methods like meditation, visualization, or burning. This sets the intent into motion.
Placement: Sigils are placed in meaningful locations where they can align with their purpose, such as on personal items, in living spaces, or even drawn invisibly.
How to do a sigil?
Define Your Intention
Clearly state what you want to achieve.
Use positive and specific language (e.g., “I attract abundance,” not “I don’t want to be poor”).
Simplify the Phrase
Write down your intention as a short phrase.
Remove vowels and duplicate letters.
Example:
Intention: “I attract abundance.”
Letters remaining: "IATRCBND"
Create the Sigil Design
Use the remaining letters to form a unique symbol.
Combine, stylize, and overlap the shapes until the letters become unrecognizable.
Focus on making the design feel meaningful and visually appealing to you.
You can even use a simple chart with letters to create your personal sigil.
Charge the Sigil
Infuse the sigil with your energy and intention using one or more methods:
Meditation: Visualize your goal while focusing on the sigil.
Physical Action: Trace or redraw it with intent.
Elemental Release: Burn, bury, or submerge the sigil to activate it.
Place or Use the Sigil
Decide where to put the sigil for it to fulfill its purpose:
On objects you use daily (e.g., a water bottle, wallet, or phone).
Hidden in meaningful places (e.g., under your pillow, in a journal).
Where can you place a sigil?
On Your Body
Draw it on your skin with makeup, henna, or washable markers.
Wear jewelry or clothing with the sigil inscribed or sewn in.
Personal Belongings
Inside your wallet or purse (e.g., for abundance or protection).
On your phone case or inside the phone cover.
On your keys, keychain, or a charm.
At Home
On mirrors or windows for protection or clarity.
Under your bed, mattress, or pillow for restful sleep.
Near your front door for protection and inviting positive energy.
On Daily Items
On water bottles, food containers, or your coffee mug (e.g., for self-love, health, or energy).
On your planner, notebook, or laptop for focus and creativity.
On cosmetics or perfume bottles to enhance beauty or self-esteem.
Workspace or Study Area
Under your desk or chair for focus and productivity.
On your computer or work tools for success in tasks.
Outdoors or Public Spaces
Etched in dirt or sand for temporary, natural effects.
Drawn on stones, leaves, or other natural items and left in meaningful places.

Adding on to this because I'm passionate about EO safety.
Clove is another to be wary of. It has more practical uses than cinnamon but also has some of the same compounds that can burn. Essential oils in general can be dangerous like this but an essential oil of anything that is "spicy" is generally going to be the most dangerous in this way. Eugenol is a very powerful and overpowering component and it's in both cinnamon and clove. It is useful if you use it correctly. To put it in perspective Clove is used to put fish to sleep for surgery but enough drops can euthanize one, it also is a deterrent for bugs and mice.
If your MLM family member ever gives you a bottle of "thieves oil" be fucking careful with it because it is a blend of every burny eugenol baring essential oil that exists. Do not rub it on your skin ever. No, not even if they tell you it's safe, because they(Young living) are infamous for having FB groups where reps are telling people to put essential oil straight on cancer. It's not even a full spectrum disinfectant for surfaces. It's awesome for aromatherapy when you're ill and it repels bugs but that's it.
Honestly don't buy oils from YL. Mountain Rose Herbs is trustworthy, used by certified herbalists, eco friendly and more inexpensive too!
And hey! If you have cats, don't even handle this stuff in the same room with them if you can manage it. It's toxic to them and even just the scent can be a big bother to a cat that gets whiff.
Take the advice above and make infused oils! You can make many different kinds. they will take on the scent and energy of what you infuse but an infused oil is somewhat milder than an essential oil. Fragrance water if you can find it online is even milder (and really nice to spritz your sheets with if it's lavender or rose)
Remember essential oil is the very most concentrated form of the plant and is always going to be potent and caution is important when handling something like that.
Respect the power of the ingredients you use in spells!
Witchcraft PSA - Cinnamon Oil
Once again, I’m seeing witchcraft recipes being posted that call for cinnamon oil, often out of proportion with the other ingredients. Honestly y’all - 10 drops of cinnamon and 2 drops of rose oil for a perfume? WTF. That is just going to cause pain.
Now, cinnamon is a useful spice and great for cinnamon toast. But white cinnamon essential oil has some medical benefits it is also very strong. It can cause severe allergies and skin burning that may require hospitalization. You must be very, very careful when using cinnamon essential oil in any preparation. Or better yet, just don’t.
People posting on social media are often not using the recipes they post and have no real world experience with the ingredients.
Look, here’s a medical article on burns caused by using cinnamon oil. It has unpleasant pictures at the bottom.
Personally, I don’t even go for the “make sure you dilute it with a carrier oil” caution. If I have a need for cinnamon oil, I make my own infusion. It’s easy enough to do. Pour some vegetable, olive or other oil into a small pan, add a good quantity of cinnamon (not essential oil, The stuff you put on your toast), heat gently, let it cool then pour through a coffee filter into a jar. This oil can be used to add the warmth of cinnamon to your spells. But it must still be used with caution because it will still cause a reaction in those with cinnamon allergies.

Wow, what a throwback! My shop on Storenvy is currently closed, but I plan to reopen on Etsy this year. Will not do spells, however, only readings and potentially jewelry/tools.
I completed a spell candle for a lovely and treasured client; it was the perfect day for magick and I had a wonderful experience with this spell.

New to witchcraft? Awesome! Here's some things you should pursue.
An understanding of sympathetic magic: Correspondences, their metaphysical and theoretical framework, and their derivation.
Magical systems that incorporate the entire gender spectrum.
Energy work that isn't based on visualization.
The means of manifestation: How, where, and when spells affect physical change. The physical mechanisms through which witchcraft manifests beyond just willpower/intent/wishes/etc.
The history and subsequent influences of, and on, popular contemporary practices like Hermeticism, "Ceremonial Magick"/Golden Dawn, Wicca, and New Age/New Thought/LOA/Reiki.
How to approach and practice magic with critical thinking skills.
Influence of consumerism on contemporary practices.
Divination as systems: all methods of divination beyond tarot, their statistical applications, and their different methods of use.
The anthropology of medieval Arabia, Europe, Near East, and Asia relative to the magical or occult publications of the era. What is purely religious, parareligious, or syncretist and what does that mean for the interpretation of the text?
The genuine limits of our knowledge of the ancient world, what's possible for us to know and what can't we know?
Conversations with practitioners of closed or semi-closed practices and perspectives of POC when it comes to what the western world would label as "witchcraft".
The differences and similarities between superstition and the practice of witchcraft.
An understanding of the influence of colonialism on modern witchcraft and the language used to discuss magic.
Critical Race Theory (CRT), Queer Theory, and systems of oppression.
Botany and herbology: An understanding of the physical and medical properties of plants.
Building a personal lexicon for modern and/or colloquial terms used in and by the witchcraft community to describe and discuss practices.
Spell design: What makes a spell a spell? What is the smallest or slightest action that can be considered a spell and why? What are the most important and influential elements of the design and application of a spell?
Altars: Their use, design, and potential; whether or not an altar would benefit your practice or goals for practice.
A critical approach to spirit work and astral projection, being able to discern between personal narratives and probable experiences.
A safe and solid community to become a part of. One that does not allow the influence of personal narratives (Without addressing them as such), doesn't allow for the mixing of adults and minors, and with established and enforced logical and reasonable rules.
Collect and cross-reference correspondences from as many sources as possible, then start to create your own.
Try to find a STEM subject that interests you and study it through any non-dogmatic avenues available to you.
The items highlighted in blue are things I highly recommend!
Here is a list of things to avoid.
This is, of course, not an end-all-be-all list of possible responsible and healthy pursuits.

This is your reminder that "New Age" is not a catch-all term for "modern spiritual practices I find shallow and annoying."
New Age is a specific form of spirituality centered around the belief that the Earth is about to enter a new cosmic cycle. Its mythology is mostly just a bunch of far right conspiracy theories in a spiritual hat. They believe in hyperdiffusionism, the ancient astronaut hypothesis, and some form of nearly every antisemitic trope in the book.
A lot of people who use the term "New Age" as a blanket term against people they find annoying or shallow are just as bad, believing in many of the same conspiracy theories and engaging in other forms of appropriation and/or erasure. (This is a major problem in Solomonic magic.) A bunch of people believe that Christian holidays were stolen from pagan ones, little realizing how much of this goes back to Alexander Hislop, a conspiracy theorist.
New Age isn't just a bunch of annoying white people appropriating Indigenous spirituality or practicing crystal healing or whatever. It's far more harmful than most people realize, and people are far more likely to share in its beliefs than they realize.

Beginner Witch's Guide: Crystals
Today's witchy lesson is on crystals! Specifically, crystal shapes and their meanings, types of crystals and their meanings, and what you can use crystals for in your practice!
---
Basic Crystals and Their Meanings:
Clear Quartz -> Clear quartz is known for its ability to amplify intention and magnify the energy of other stones around it
Selenite -> Selenite is good for cleansing and purifying the area and objects around it
Amethyst -> Amethyst provides a peaceful and relaxing energy
Carnelian -> Carnelian is known for boosting creative energy and allowing for better creative flow
Rose Quartz -> Rose quartz is known for supporting and amplifying love of all kinds (self love, romantic love, platonic love, etc.)
Pyrite -> Pyrite (also known as 'Fool's Gold') is known for drawing in success and fortune
Obsidian -> Obsidian sucks in negative energy from the surrounding space providing protection from unwanted energies and negativity
---
Crystal Shapes and Meanings:
Cube -> Cube shaped crystals are often tied to grounding and would be good to use during meditation or meditative spellwork.
Sphere -> Sphere shaped crystals are thought to be more balanced with the energy they emit, splitting it evenly in all directions. They are good to use in grounding work (like meditation) or for protective spells/energy.
Pyramids -> Pyramid shaped crystals are most commonly associated with the idea of communing with celestial bodies or with the universe. Pyramid shaped crystals would be beneficial to use in deity worship or working with deities for spellwork.
Tower/Point -> Tower and point shaped crystals are known to amplify intention and point it in a certain direction. In my opinion, they are the most universally helpful shape and so can be used for a variety of spells.
Palm Stones -> Palm Stones are flat disks of stone that can be placed in one's palm and are often used to provide soothing energy. When placed in the palm they can be rubbed to provide therapeutic relief in moments of anxiety.
Cluster -> A cluster is a mix between a sphere and a point. The energy is emitted in all directions, but not evenly. They are most beneficial for spells and powers you want amplified, but don't need to be even or concentrated in one particular area.
---
General Crystal Tips:
When purchasing crystals, make sure the ones you are buying are coming from reputable, ethical sources and are actual crystals!
Before letting any crystal come in contact with the sun or with water, make sure it is safe to do. Some crystals are known to leech harmful chemicals or elements into water when submerged while some will just erode away in minutes. Some crystals can also fade if left in direct sunlight for a long time (amethyst is one of these so keep that in mind!)
If you do not like working with crystals, think something works better for you than crystals, or simply are just not interested in working with crystals, they are not necessary for the craft! Crystals (like any other witchy tool) are optional but can not only provide useful energies or attributes, but also just look super cool and are great to put on altars or in spaces around your home!
---
Well, that's all for my beginners guide to crystals! There are so many more crystals out there with their own unique shapes, attributes and energies that I suggest going and doing more research as you start to collect crystals! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out, I love talking to people and love making new friends <3
Valete my friends! :3

Illuminating the Path: A Beginner's Guide to Candle Magick
🕯️✨🔮
Candle magick is a beautiful and accessible way to harness the power of fire and light in your magical practice. Whether you're new to witchcraft or looking to deepen your connection with this ancient art, candle magick offers a versatile and powerful tool for manifesting intentions, creating sacred space, and connecting with the divine. Let's explore the basics of candle magick, how to choose and prepare your candles, and discover simple spells and rituals to illuminate your path.
What is Candle Magick?
Candle magick involves using candles as a focal point for your intentions, prayers, and spells. The flame of the candle represents the element of fire, a symbol of transformation, energy, and purification. The act of lighting a candle and focusing on its flame helps concentrate your energy and send your intentions out into the universe.
Choosing Your Candles
The first step in candle magick is selecting the right candle for your purpose. Candles come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, each holding unique magical properties.
Colour Correspondences:
White: Purity, protection, healing, spiritual growth
Red: Passion, strength, courage, love
Pink: Love, friendship, compassion, emotional healing
Orange: Creativity, enthusiasm, success, joy
Yellow: Wisdom, communication, mental clarity, confidence
Green: Prosperity, abundance, health, growth
Blue: Peace, tranquility, protection, intuition
Purple: Spirituality, psychic abilities, wisdom, power
Black: Protection, banishing negativity, grounding
Brown: Stability, grounding, home protection, animal magic
Types of Candles:
🕯️Taper Candles: Tall and thin, ideal for longer rituals and spells.
🕯️Pillar Candles: Thick and sturdy, suitable for extended workings and larger spells.
🕯️Tea Light Candles: Small and convenient, perfect for simple spells and meditations.
🕯️Chime Candles: Short and fast-burning, great for quick spells and intention-setting.
Preparing Your Candles
Once you've chosen your candle, it's essential to prepare or "dress" it for your magical work. This involves cleansing, charging, and anointing the candle to align it with your intention.
Cleansing: Cleanse your candle to remove any unwanted energies. You can pass it through the smoke of incense, sprinkle it with salt water, or hold it under running water while focusing on purifying it.
Charging: Charge your candle by holding it in your hands and visualizing your intention. Imagine your goal or desire flowing from your heart into the candle, filling it with energy and purpose.
Anointing: Anoint your candle with a suitable oil to enhance its power. Use oils that correspond to your intention, such as lavender for peace, rosemary for protection, or cinnamon for prosperity. Apply the oil from the top of the candle to the middle, then from the bottom to the middle.
Simple Candle Magick Spells and Rituals
Basic Intention Setting Spell
This is a straightforward spell for beginners to focus on a specific goal or desire.
1. Choose a candle color that matches your intention.
2. Write your intention on a piece of paper.
3. Light the candle and visualize your intention coming to fruition.
4. Focus on the flame and chant your intention, such as "I am attracting abundance" or "I am protected and safe."
5. Burn the paper in the candle's flame and let the candle burn down safely.
Candle Meditation for Clarity
This ritual helps clear your mind and gain insight or guidance.
1. Choose a white or blue candle.
2. Light the candle and sit comfortably in front of it.
3. Focus on the flame and take deep breaths, allowing your mind to clear.
4. Ask a question or seek guidance, and watch the flame for any flickers or movements.
5. Meditate for as long as you feel necessary, then extinguish the candle.
Protection Candle Spell
This spell creates a shield of protection around you or your home.
1. Choose a black or white candle.
2. Anoint the candle with protection oil (e.g., rosemary or frankincense).
3. Light the candle and visualize a protective shield surrounding you or your space.
4. Chant, "By this flame, I am protected. Negative energies are deflected."
5. Let the candle burn down safely, reinforcing your protective barrier.
Love and Friendship Spell
This spell attracts love, compassion, and friendship into your life
1. Choose a pink candle.
2. Write your desire for love or friendship on a piece of paper
3. Anoint the candle with rose oil
4. Light the candle and visualize loving energy flowing towards you.
5. Chant, "Love and friendship come my way, with harm to none, this I say."
6. Burn the paper in the flame and let the candle burn down safely.
Tips for Safe and Effective Candle Magick
• Always practice fire safety. Never leave a burning candle unattended and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
• Use a snuffer or your fingers to extinguish candles. Blowing them out can disperse the energy.
• Be mindful of the candle's flame and wax. The way it burns can provide insights into your spell's effectiveness.
• Keep a journal of your candle magick experiences to track your progress and learn from each ritual.
Candle magick is a powerful and accessible way to work with the elemental energy of fire and manifest your desires. By choosing the right candles, preparing them with intention, and engaging in simple spells and rituals, you can harness the transformative power of candle magick to illuminate your path and achieve your goals. As you light your candles, may your intentions burn bright, your heart be full of magic, and your spirit be guided by the gentle glow of the flame.
Happy casting!
