(Btw Harper is what I'm calling one of the nameless girls at the S1 Rich Girl Clique Table! I was always kinda curious about them because like. Yas doesn't seem to give two craps about them and never hangs out with them outside the lunchroom scenes, but they were clearly popular enough to earn spots at the cool kids' table. I always wondered if they were jealous of Yasmine's blatant favoritism toward Moon (and possibly also Sam).)

Moon’s always been an early riser.

The morning after Yasmine’s 15th birthday she comes to in their hotel bed. Her best friend’s still asleep, hair a rumpled mess.

Moon slides out, stumbling to the mirror. She slept in Yasmine’s t-shirt, haphazardly pulled on after they did things on that canapé that’d make the concierge blush.

It’s a strange image. A snapshot of a comfy, domestic future too simple to be in the cards.

I see you eye-fucking her. Harper Moreno’s taunt crawls back. Waste of time. You think you’re Yasmine’s favorite now, but it won’t last.

Moon hopes she’s wrong.
