after some experimentation, i've found that "clean-shaven and hair hidden under a beanie" gets me gendered as male way more reliably than "hair loose, full moustache". no idea why long hair provokes such a strong "that's a girl" reaction, but there we go.

Cuddling and head pats with him is always started by him. By you? No no. Unless you wanna end up in the hospital, despite you provide everything his feral ass needs. That is forgotten the second you try to initiate anything. Deku: how dare this peon pat my head despite them giving me everything I need. D:< (cleaned version of his thoughts cause idk what he’s thinking)

When you put on your favourite tv show, and not give him a glance, he has to use all his willpower not to karate kick that miserable thing. How dare it take away your attention? Like he doesn’t even actively acknowledge you, but it still pisses him off. But if he does, he knows he’s going to get babysitted by someone else. Honestly, it’s a miracle how much you tolerate him.

You accidentally drop something on the floor? Immediate panic, waiting to hear the barking. You pause..nothing? Panic sets in. THAT FERAL IDIOT ESCAPED.

Ah…just feral Deku. He’s like ..a cool kind of crazy, that makes you interested in him, a puzzle waiting to be solved.

hey gang i just did a minor update for tnp over on itch but it was just some bugfixing, sorry to bait you 🙈 i did want to post a devlog/update/check-in type thing over there too since it's been so long since i've posted anything on itch, basically just confirming this is still being worked on and i'm planning for a content update this year.

i also did block off access to the highfell route for now, so hopefully people won't keep getting locked out of ch2.

I did a little post a few weeks ago about how many mods Surge has and how it's one of the ways you can tell she really landed as a character, because people wanted to play as her right away. She's definitely the most modded IDW character but I figured older comic characters like Sally probably had more, but I wasn't sure.

So I decided to go look at how many mods Sally actually has, and yeah, it's a lot!

As far as I can tell Sally just squeaks past past Surge's 10 playable games with 11 of her own (if you're just counting 1 mod per game, since Sally has a few different versions for SA2).

The main difference between the two is that just over half of Sally's mods come from the 2D games, while of most Surges were 3D, which makes sense given age of the character. Once Sally got a full spritesheet edit then there was obviously a lot more ease and incentive to make mods of 2D games for her over characters that don't have sprites. And while her time in comics has come to end I think she'll remain a staple of the modding scene for many future games.
