WHY INCOMING SHS STUDENTS MUST CHOOSE MY STRAND
I am Sydrick Parra, a STEM student and a graduating student this coming school year. In my years of being a senior high, I can say that "struggle is real" and it's not easy to do things that needs to do in STEM strand but what is the advantage of it? I can say that STEM strand is the ideal strand for those who want to be future engineer, future architect, future doctors, and many more. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics and refers to any subjects that falls in that four disciplines are all inside in STEM. It also specializes on improving your cognitive skills that helps in learning the basic of coding in engineering skills; It also improve your creativity, increases team collaboration, develops communication skills, empowers critical thinking skills, and teaches how to take initiative. In this time of year that we're on a more advance generation/millennials, we need people that has skills that helps the world to it's brightest future.

In the 21st century, scientific and technological innovations have become increasingly important as we face the benefits and challenges of both globalization and a knowledge-based economy. To succeed in this new information-based and highly technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEM to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past.
