Which is The Best Course After BDS
Tumblr media
Completing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a significant achievement, but many dental graduates seek to further their education and specialize in specific areas to enhance their expertise and career prospects. Some of the best courses after BDS include the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), which allows students to specialize in various fields of dentistry, such as orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, conservative dentistry and endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
The Master of Public Health (MPH) is an excellent option for those interested in broader aspects of healthcare, focusing on public health principles, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, and community health. With an MPH, graduates can work in public health administration, health education, and health policy planning, equipping them with the skills to design, implement, and evaluate public health programs.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a game-changer for dentists aspiring to combine clinical practice with business acumen. This degree covers various aspects of business management, including finance, marketing, operations, and strategic planning. With an MBA, graduates can manage their own dental clinic more efficiently, take on administrative roles in dental organizations, or work in healthcare consulting.
Fellowship programs offer advanced training in specific areas of dentistry, typically shorter than degree programs. Popular fellowship programs include Fellowship in Cosmetic Dentistry, Fellowship in Implantology, and Fellowship in Oral Oncology. These programs provide practical skills and knowledge, allowing students to quickly enter specialized fields of dentistry.
Diploma courses are another excellent option for BDS graduates looking to specialize in specific areas, such as Diploma in Orthodontics, Diploma in Oral Surgery, Diploma in Endodontics, and Diploma in Periodontics. These courses can provide practical skills and knowledge, allowing students to quickly enter specialized fields of dentistry.
For those interested in academia and research, pursuing a PhD in dental sciences can be highly rewarding. With a PhD program, graduates can work as researchers, academicians, or consultants, playing a crucial role in advancing dental science.

#50「Meet his fate」: and today we say goodbye to TR best antagonist
wow, they really gave Kisaki a gay ass weird flash back(?) about Takemichi?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That "I just wanted to be like you" wasn't in the manga (even if, reading between the lines, even from the manga the reader could get there was this feeling involved, beside Kisaki’s superiority/inferiority complex towards Takemichi)
I didn't expect it since his death in the manga is quick and brutal but it's a very good adaptation choice, it makes sense and it explains better Kisaki's contrasting feelings for both Takemichi and Hina. But surely we had some kisatake fan in the anime team for this episode which, again, good??? but really unexpected
I like Kisaki, he's a good villain, but, I'm sorry Truck-kun arriving and doing like in "Mean Girls" is still funny to me (and I talk as someone who appreciate Kisaki as a character and as a villain lol). But after that, the way his limbs are all broken and he's like that on the street it's really sad/horrifying, Wakui was able to show how much pain there was in his dying body in that moment, beside the psychological fact he knew he was dying and didn't want to, he still had so much to do for his evil plan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They kept unchanged the moments with Inupi and Hakkai on Inupi's bike which is cute, especially considering their past with the Black Dragon, with Taiju as Inupi's boss.
I would have like to see the relationship between the inuneko duo and Hakkai and Yuzuha, prior the BD arc, where of course they're opponents: what I mean, is that I would have liked to see their "everyday life" relationship: did they have to watch over Yuzuha and Hakkai - we know Taiju has a weird/abusive sense of familial love, but he still cares about them and kokonui are his second in commands and most trusted soldiers- or were they indifferent to the younger Shiba Sibling? Something else? we'll never know.
It's also cute considering the Thousand Winter🥹 and Hakkai's birthday pic where he asks Inupi for a strawberry lol
They also kept Koko, that should be on Inupi's bike with him, but he walks away, alone for the first time (and he will be alone from now on, kill me right now)
Also, they closed the season with a weird cliffhanger?
For the other parts we really had some Big Cliffhanger™️, here everyone gets that something is pending but well… I guess they really had no time, they made a faithful adaptation of the manga, there was no time to add anything else. The arc is not really closed like that, we still have to say our proper goodby to Emma, Izana and Kisaki, we still have the inukoko farewell...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...but alas, it is what it is.
I hope we'll get the confirmation for a next season, that sure, will open saying goodbye to the tenjiku arc, -it opens with an ending... weird- but i guess there was no other choice given the pacing of this season

Twilight Clown Takes—Part 11
Reddit tends to be much better with its Twilight takes than literally anywhere else, but you still get some clownery every now and again. A bit smarter than the usual fare, which is a nice change. But once again, we get BD ending whinging and other commonplaces. And so I eat! Om nom nom
“But Bella’s Career!!1!1”
Tumblr media
*sighs, inserts the “don’t make me tap the sign” meme*
Twilight is a romance first, a coming-of-age YA story second. Of course, it’s going to focus on the love relationship(s) above all else! Even if Meyer personally shuddered at the thought of a housewife life, that wouldn’t change the fact that a romance book would focus on the fucking romance.
Hence, Bella’s career and social potential is not the point here—she is smart enough to succeed in most all her endeavors, and her social skills are fine. That has never been the problem. But she is limited by the fact that she comes from a working class, low-income background. No matter how smart she is, her opportunities will be limited. Classism 101.
So no, Bella could not have had “more with her life.” Her best-case scenario would have been to escape Forks and go to an affordable but mediocre college with plenty of grants and scholarships. Maybe get a good job, but then get screwed over by the 2008 crash and Covid. With Edward and the Cullens, though, she not only finds love and family, but money and even time is no longer a problem. She can go to university a million times as a vampire.
Also, it won’t fix the problem of Bella’s severe emotional neglect. She needs someone who will validate her. Without that support, Bella would be crippled emotionally and never progress. And therapy would be beyond her reach financially.
Meyer is an Austenite, so she understands the importance and impact of class and income on romance. She knew Bella’s character had to be a certain way in order to make the romance make sense. Hell, for Bella to even be attracted to Edward in the first place.
Team Jacob Fan Dumb
Tumblr media
*studio audience groan* Not the goddamn khaki skirt again.
Bella is so damn passionate with Edward. Even in the beginning, she hugged him first thing in the morning (“Edward, you stayed!”), kissed him back during their first and second kisses, and is the one constantly pushing for sex. She fights with Edward about becoming a vampire and makes him promise not to give her presents for her birthday or graduation. She is furious with Edward for taking out her car’s engine, and when Edward gets Alice to kidnap her, Bella sends her growly “Angry grizzly bears are going to look tame by the time I’m done with you!1!!!” message. She cries when Edward plays her lullaby and sobs the night after they return from Italy because she thinks she is still dreaming. When Bella and Alice are reunited and Bella launches herself at her, Alice mentions she had forgotten how exuberant she is. In Eclipse, Bella was also willing to distract Victoria with her rock stunt.
With Jacob, Bella is also expressive, even more childish, but definitely not as passionate. She is angrier, not because she is more “alive” with Jacob, but because he constantly disregards her boundaries and consent. Bella is plenty alive with Edward—if she reads as more cautious as times, it’s because he’s a freakin’ vampire who could squash her like a bug. Hence, she tries not to make it harder for him than it already is.
Sanitized Imprinting
Tumblr media
Clown OP: “This vampire imprinting plotline is too sanitized and not creepy enough!!1!”
Also Clown OP: *accurately details the reasons why many people think it is creepy*
We have no idea how Meyer will deal with the imprinting plotline when she finishes writing that Renesmee book. I have a feeling, though, that Jacob/Renesmee will have a lot of drama before they even get to a place of romance. For one thing, Edward and Bella themselves would never pressure Renesmee to accept Jacob. Hell, they struggled to come to terms with the imprinting and arguably never did—the imprinting drama was just subsumed by the Volturi drama. Once things do start going romantic, all of that drama will arise again.
Simping for the Movies
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Edward yelling at Bella in the BD film was the worst OOC moment for me. It’s what broke Movie Edward for good (that, and the “spider monkey” shit).
Book Edward did not pretend Bella was fine, not even for a moment. He was literally in hell. Jacob was traumatized just by looking at him. But Edward knew that he could not force Bella to choose otherwise without breaking something fundamental about their relationship.
Also, Bella was NOT committing suicide. She had a plan. When the baby was out, she would immediately be turned into a vampire via Edward’s venom, which would heal her. It was an insanely risky plan that could have gone wrong in so many ways, but it wasn’t on blind faith.
The dumbass films neglected to write this, though, and so they broke Movie Bella. Fuck them all, and never, ever try to make the movies canon.
Tumblr media
“Stephenie didn’t mean this positively—” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Edward and Carlisle—who, reminder, were hardcore Team Abort Fetus—are definitely framed sympathetically in the narrative. Jacob even does a 180 on his entire attitude just by speaking to Carlisle, who isn’t portrayed at all negatively for his stance. Alice, also one of the most sympathetic characters in the books, is also Team Abort Fetus.
And Edward’s suffering at Bella’s pain is one of the most heartbreaking things in the series. Even through Jacob’s POV (who is prejudiced!!!) it is framed that way. Occam’s Razor? Meyer definitely meant this positively.
Team Human Bella Fan Dumb
Tumblr media
I disagree. Bella’s vampirism is not like a human adult life. It’s better.
Homegirl doesn’t have to sleep, only has seven years of raising Renesmee to adulthood, Renesmee herself skipped infancy, she is finally social equals with Edward, and she has gained his whole family as her own. Also, once again, she could go to college a million times.
With another man or even with Jacob, it would be pretty much business as usual for Bella, the exact same as with Renée and Charlie: Cooking, cleaning, and then the child-rearing. Those won’t heal Bella’s emotional neglect, but exacerbate it. Jacob has the advantage of protecting Bella physically from any and all dangers, but he would still require human comforts. And Jacob himself has proven he is no equalist/feminist.
The best case scenario for Bella, apart from therapy, would still be vampirism, and Meyer knew it. Bella herself is drawn to vampirism in ways she is not to the wolf shapeshifters. The BD endgame was not at all outdated; it was beyond clear that Bella would choose Edward always, and choosing Edward means choosing immortality.
And Jacob did want to imprint by the end. He even went to Seattle to look at girls, willing himself to imprint on any of them. Imprinting wasn’t even against his character by that point.
Tumblr media
At the end of Eclipse, Bella absolutely does not accept herself yet. Her revelation was due to what she would be giving up re: humanity and accepting the cost.
In Breaking Dawn, she does not hang out with Jacob—he only returned for the wedding, and it was a complete surprise to Bella. Jacob returned on his own volition to Bella, who accepted him. And while Bella still retains some of her modesty, she finally describes herself as “a dark beauty” when she sees herself in her wedding dress. She also dresses up when she meets with Jenks. Those are not insignificant.
I think by that point, Bella finally does see herself as worthy of being with Edward, or at least accept that she has a powerful claim to him. She isn’t even jealous of Tanya anymore.
Based Takes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bella is so well-written, you can give me any scenario and I could tell you how she would react to it. I’m not sure what happened on the Stewart/Hardwicke/Rosenberg front to destroy her character like this, but something did happen. Maybe it was a clusterfuck of all three.

BD: the narrator tries to let go
i have several clock 0ut meta posts in my heart and i have no idea how strong this fandom is in the red string department so i apologize if they're well-trodden ground by now. this one is about my theory/interpretation that in blank decay the narrator led stanley to the exit, and also had no intention of leaving with him.
we see his motive in his guilt over how he has hurt stanley in the past as he examines the wound stanley received by saving his life anyway. that's REMORSE, babey:
Tumblr media
also this, because i can't imagine the single word he says here being anything but 'sorry'. stanley turns away from him after he says it, a clear indication that this apology wasn't enough (because of COURSE it wasn't):
Tumblr media
the narrator needs to actually do something to make things right. and so he takes him to the exit. i think the narrator already knew about it; the trek didn't seem to take a long time (stanley's wound didn't heal) or involve any searching. they walk in a straight line right to it.
stanley can't be the one who knew about the exit, though, because 1. he definitely would have ditched the narrator if he'd found it on his own prior to their little trauma bonding moment, and 2. his excited pointing here:
Tumblr media
note that the narrator responds to stanley's exuberance with a lukewarm half-shrug. he hangs back when stanley runs to try the door--a probable indicator he has no intention to go through it--at which point we see this expression:
Tumblr media
not the face of a man who's about to escape a dangerous wasteland with his friend(?) there. see also the look on his face on the walk there:
Tumblr media
it's anyone's guess whether the narrator was unwilling to leave or believed that it wasn't possible for him to do so (let alone whether he's correct). maybe it wasn't possible for stanley to leave either at this point, given that the exit was stuck when he tried it. i figure some game logic probably required a certain condition be met which they hadn't done yet, but that's just speculation.
it's more likely that the narrator expected stanley to leave without him given his little sad faces :( either way, i think he very much intended to remain in the wasteland indefinitely in the absence of the watch. hell, he was looking for new glasses! that's the behavior of a man who is resigned to making the best of things. he didn't have a backpack like stanley, so maybe he'd even set up somewhere to live nearby--though perhaps he just didn't need survival supplies, being an android.
P.S.: i wanted to touch on the narrator's awareness of the gears and their connection to the watch. much like stanley, i think he would have reset without a second thought before their trauma bonding moment--the problem being, that's when he realized rebuilding the watch was an option. note the look of sudden recognition on his face before he shoves his hand into the gearling's screen here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i don't think he knew he could just explode it, but upon seeing the gear as it took aim, he definitely realized something that prompted his next action. and, of course, he thought to slip the gear into his pocket.
Tumblr media
sucks when you find the means to do something you've been desperately wanting to do moments after you stop wanting it, huh?
EDIT: meta post about the red entity is [here], and another post about various little details i noticed is [here]!

on the wicked witch of the east.
who is nosyne?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(please pardon the unvarnished condition of these images. no gifs of rebecca liddiard exist and your girl is mobile 80% of the time.)
when letheia was six, hecate gathered her daughter onto her lap and gently, laughingly told her of a "happy accident"--that she would have a sister. an accident it certainly was: hecate had privately vowed to have only one child, an heir, and not repeat her own mother's mistake of having many daughters or a long-term partner. but while the man she'd been seeing was quietly paid off and moved along--just another heart broken by letheia's free-spirited and mercurial mother--hekate decided, after much thought, to keep her second pregnancy. she'd do her own mother one better; she wouldn't repeat the same mistakes.
in that, hecate succeeded. her second daughter, nosyne, was not her older sister's rival but her best friend, bringing out the playful and joyous side of letheia that was usually smothered by the regime of control and the role in state affairs imposed on her by her mother. while hecate could be a good playmate, letheia never knew if her mother would suddenly turn into the frightening disciplinarian that dwelt behind her good humor. letheia and nosyne had no such hidden facets from each other.
this isn't to say that they never fought or never had differences. at the time, pressures of being the heir and uncertainties in her maternal relationship made letheia cerebral and overly serious; her mother and her courtiers sometimes dryly called her "the little statesman" for her somber intensity. nosyne, with no such burdens and no particular ambition to have them, was freer and more cheerful, and brought out the part of her sister that was still a child. much of the humor and levity in letheia's adult personality grew from nosyne's encouragement (as well as, of course, her inheritance from her sparkling and witty mother).
while nosyne proved early on to have abilities equal to any other witch, and commensurately endured the same disciplinary regime as her sister, whatever interest she had in the western throne dwindled the older the sisters became. she envisioned herself as her sister's closest advisor rather than a ruler in her own right and was happy to enjoy privilege and power without the burden of outright rulership. there were certain frustrations and resentments--a sense that for her to have children of her own would be verboten, in particular--but for the most part, nosyne was comfortable in her role as spare.
there were two significant turning points in the relationship between sisters.
the sudden and early death of their mother, which i will discuss in another post.
the installment of nosyne as the ruling witch of the east, which i will discuss below.
the ruling witch of the east died some decades (rn i am trying to figure out if it's more like 20 years or more like 50 years) BD (Before Dorothy), stunning the three other quadrants of oz. she stunned them particularly because she died without an heir. while rws had died suddenly before--like all living beings, rws do have physical vulnerabilities and can be killed or die of sickness--it was unheard of for one to die without a designated inheritor of their throne. the proper thing to do, agreed locasta of the north and glinda of the south, would be to resort to royal authority, turn over the ruby slippers to the emerald city, and collectively work from there to decide who would rule the east.
letheia knew all this. she also knew that soon north and south would bring the issue to her to request her involvement and cooperation. before anyone could act on this political quandary, she stole the ruby slippers, gave them to nosyne, and installed her as ruling witch of the east.
it was a breathtaking coup unlike anything ruling witches had ever seen. never had two witches of the same family ruled two regions of oz. it was unthinkable and the exact kind of monopoly that the pastorius knot and the ozian constitution had been designed to prevent.
king pastorius--an overall weak ruler who ill discuss later as well--shrugged his shoulders. to him, this was witch business, and insofar as he was involved in witch business, he favored letheia over the other rws. north and south were astonished and disgusted by his inaction; to them, this was an affront to both their authority and to his, a clear power grab, massively disrespectful to all they held dear. this action turned whatever tension or latent hostility they held against letheia into hatred and rivalry.
nosyne, for her part, didn't really want the throne or the slippers. she wanted what she'd always wanted: freedom to party, to flirt, to wear gorgeous gowns and to read in the castle library and to argue philosophy then have no-strings sex with her interlocutor. but her beloved sister had asked this responsibility of her, so she took it. it would spell her doom.

Hai as a decently new utapri fan I wanted to ask your opinion on how new fans should get into utapri after finishing the anime. Should they play through the otomes games or maybe try listening to the Masterpiece shows instead?
Welcome to Utapri! I hope you're enjoying the ride so far! And as someone who has been here for 12 years, welcome to Utapri hell, this is your life now! (with love of course)
Since the Masterpiece shows are all alternate universes/acting, it doesn't technically matter? So the real question is, do you like the idol side or the romance side more? Idol side, go for the masterpiece shows. Romance go for the games. And honestly switch around as you please. Just get to SOME game knowledge at some point because that's where you really learn about the boys after all. Personally it's best to know at least a little from everything.
Also the next most important thing will be whether you know Japanese or not. Because currently the anime, movies, and Starish special are the only things available in English. So what you can enjoy is more limited. Shining Live was in English for it's lifespan, and has some archives out there. Live Emotion we can only hope will have an English version but we do not know currently.
Now my answer to assist gets real long so gonna put it under a cut for everyone's sanity.
If you know Japanese, absolutely go enjoy the otome games, all of which have updated ports on the Switch! The release order and thus suggested order would be Repeat, Amazing Aria and Sweet Serenade, Debut, All Star, and finally All Star After Secret. And one day we'll have Dolce Vita.
If you want Quartet Night, while you meet them in Debut, their routes start with All Star. Ringo and Ryuuya have routes in Sweet Serenade and All Star if you're looking for them. Mitsuo in Amazing Aria is well....you'll see.
If you don't know Japanese, I still suggest looking into the games, but your options are more limited. ShiningWonderland has a fantastic crew pushing out translations. They're working on Repeat for Starish and All Star for QN currently. Couple of the routes are finished for at least one ending and others seem to be nearing completion. But I can't speak for that team past that. They are all wonderful people though!
If you don't mind getting a shortened, not amazing experience. There are some old summaries floating around from Breadmasterlee. Those, plus some friends who could understand enough, were how I learned parts of the games back in the day. Not the preferred experience though.
You could also technically struggle your way through with like Google Lens translation? Definitely not recommended though.
As for the masterpiece shows, again if you know Japanese, just enjoy them. If you wanna know what order they released in, the sets were as follows: Masquerade Mirage, Tenka Muteki no Shinobimichi, and Joker Trap Bloody Shadows, Pirates of the Frontier, Every Buddy!, and Polaris Lost Alice, Trios, and The Forest of Lycoris Dreaming of OZ, Never Again Neverland, and Faust Last Cantata
I know that next to last set, the Shining Masterpiece Shows, have translations by Kanasmusings. You can also find translations for some other dramas there, and subtitles for a majority of the stage plays (you will need your own file or DVD/BD).
The most recent Dramatic Masterpiece Shows seem to be works in progress at the moment. I know utapri-translations-uuuu is working on Heavens! And the CDs can be found in my masterlist.
The older ones I don't know off the top of my head if translations exist at all.
There are also Discord servers amongst the community, some public and some private, with resources and amazing people. But I'm not sure on how appropriate it would be to post the public ones. They don't allow piracy so as much as I push buying legally, uh, understandably linking from my blog publicly feels wrong. You can very likely find said discords via the Twitter fandom. Or talk to me in DMs.
This is a lot of info I know. Trying to cover as many bases as I can off the top of my head! Enjoy Utapri!

Appendix II: The Ants
Pierre Huber’s Les fourmis indigènes (Genève, 1810), of which a cheap edition was issued in 1861 by Cherbuliez, in the Bibliothèque Genevoise, and of which translations ought to be circulated in cheap editions in every language, is not only the best work on the subject, but also a model of really scientific research. Darwin was quite right in describing Pierre Huber as an even greater naturalist than his father. This book ought to be read by every young naturalist, not only for the facts it contains but as a lesson in the methods of research. The rearing of ants in artificial glass nests, and the test experiments made by subsequent explorers, including Lubbock, will all be found in Huber’s admirable little work. Readers of the books of Forel and Lubbock are, of course, aware that both the Swiss professor and the British writer began their work in a critical mood, with the intention of disproving Huber’s assertions concerning the admirable mutual-aid instincts of the ants; but that after a careful investigation they could only confirm them. However, it is unfortunately characteristic of human nature gladly to believe any affirmation concerning men being able to change at will the action of the forces of Nature, but to refuse to admit well-proved scientific facts tending to reduce the distance between man and his animal brothers.
Mr. Sutherland (Origin and Growth of Moral Instinct) evidently began his book with the intention of proving that all moral feelings have originated from parental care and familial love, which both appeared only in warm-blooded animals; consequently he tries to minimize the importance of sympathy and co-operation among ants. He quotes Büchner’s book, Mind in Animals, and knows Lubbock’s experiments. As to the works of Huber and Forel, he dismisses them in the following sentence; “but they [Büchner’s instances of sympathy among ants] are all, or mostly all, marred by a certain air of sentimentalism... which renders them better suited for school books than for cautious works of science, and the same is to be remarked [italics are mine] of some of Huber’s and Forel’s best-known anecdotes” (vol. i. p. 298).
Mr. Sutherland does not specify which “anecdotes” he means, but it seems to me that he could never have had the opportunity of perusing the works of Huber and Forel. Naturalists who know these works find no “anecdotes” in them.
The recent work of Professor Gottfried Adlerz on the ants in Sweden (Myrmecologiska Studier: Svenska Myror och des Lefnadsförhâllanden, in Bihan till Svenska A kademiens Handlingar, Bd. xi. No. 18, 1886) may be mentioned in this place. It hardly need be said that all the observations of Huber and Forel concerning the mutual-aid life of ants, including the one concerning the sharing of food, felt to be so striking by those who previously had paid no attention to the subject, are fully confirmed by the Swedish professor (pp. 136–137).
Professor G. Adlerz gives also very interesting experiments to prove what Huber had already observed; namely, that ants from two different nests do not always attack each other. He has made one of his experiments with the ant, Tapinoma erraticum. Another was made with the common Rufa ant. Taking a whole nest in a sack, he emptied it at a distance of six feet from another nest. There was no battle, but the ants of the second nest began to carry the pupae of the former. As a rule, when Professor Adlerz brought together workers with their pupae, both taken from different nests, there was no battle; but if the workers were without their pupæ, a battle ensued (pp. 185–186).
He also completes Forel’s and MacCook’s observations about the “nations” of ants, composed of many nests, and, taking his own estimates, which brought him to take an average of 300,000 Formica exsecta ants in each nest, he concludes that such “nations” may reach scores and even hundreds of millions of inhabitants.
Maeterlinck’s admirably written book on bees, although it contains no new observations, would be very useful, if it were less marred with metaphysical “words.”

danbi dog walking w/ tae sort of meet cute-type date vibes
🪩 WORDCOUNT | 700 (exactly!) 🪩 NOTE FROM HOLLY | so i kinda think they're impossible to have a meet-cute, just because danbi was sooooo anti-tae at the start. like she always knew he was interested and used to try soooo hard to pretend that she wasnt!!! plus if anyone is a man hater (complimentary <3) it's danbi!! I can't remember when, but i know it's mentioned earlier on in the story that tae had been at memorial park with dan so.... here u go!
🪩 BD DRABBLES MASTERPOST 🪩
Tumblr media
“Again?” Danbi sighs as she notices the man walking towards her up through the path of the Memorial Park.
She’d put her hands on her hips if either of them were free - but she’s currently got three dogs to each hand. The leads wrap around so tightly it’s a miracle her fingers haven’t fallen off yet.
Still, her facial expression conveys everything her body can’t - and yet Kim Taehyung has the audacity to stand there fucking smiling.
“Fancy seeing you here!” He beams, turning on his heel to stop himself from walking on by. Doesn't miss a beat. Heads in the same direction as Danbi, now.
“Y’know, some people would consider this stalking,” she tells him with nothing but disdain.
“See, I would agree,” Taehyung answers with contemplative arrogance. “But it’s funny - DB seems to reckon you’ve changed your route, recently?”
“Oh has she, now?” Danbi says, resisting the urge to curse you out. Loves you to death, but knows exactly what you’re doing. Begins to think that your joke about dressing up as cupid for Halloween isn’t really a joke.
“Mhmm,” Taehyung nods, hands in pockets. A little shy, but trying desperately hard not to be. “You used to do your walks down by the river, apparently.”
Danbi’s jaw is tense. Unwavering. “Sometimes a change of scenery is good. Gives the pups more mental stimulation. Different smells.”
“There are so many parks in the city,” he muses.
“Well I’ll pick a different one, once I’ve decided they’ve had enough of this one.”
“Maybe you should try the city forest,” Taehyung suggests. “The one by the last stop on line two. I go there pretty often, too.”
The narrowing of Danbi’s eyes only serves to make Taehyung smile. He’s learning pretty quickly which buttons of Danbi’s to press - and given how easy it is to wind her up, he doesn’t have to try particularly hard.
It’s what he likes about her, though. She’s fiery. Ignites a little something inside him.
“My route choices have nothing to do with you.”
“No?” He challenges. “So why’d it change after you found out my studio overlooks Memorial Park?”
“Coincidence.”
“Y’know,” Taehyung smirks. “Some people would consider it stalking.”
If there’s one thing Danbi hates, it’s when men make her smile - and Taehyung is getting dangerously close to that. She has to nip this in the bud, or otherwise her mild-infatuation with him will inevitably grow, and she cannot let that happen.
She’s dated musicians. Dated pretty boys. Ones with egos. Knows that artists are even worse.
And the ones who look like Kim Taehyung? Nothing but trouble. She knows that as soon as her guard is down, some girl from his art school will end up back in his DM’s and then she’ll have to fight for his attention, which she refuses to do. Dreads to think of the notches in his bedpost. Doesn’t wanna have to look at the art he’s made from other muses.
Again, she’s dated men who are menaces before. Had songs written for other girls cosplayed as serenades for her (fuck you, Sanghyuk). Refuses to let it happen again.
Better to just fight with him. Easier that way.
She’s incapable of doing anything by half measures though, so hatred seems like the best course of action.
“With all due respect, Taehyung, I’m working,” she shrugs, picking up her pace.
“Let me help.”
“No.”
“I'm good with animals.”
“You’re not insured.”
“I know how to walk a dog”
“No.”
“Let me-”
“Fine! Take Mabel,” Danbi finally relents, adjusting the leashes to hold one out from him. On the end is a Pomeranian, not too dissimilar from Taehyung’s own dog - the same dog Taehyung keeps trying to convince Danbi to walk, just so he has an excuse to see her. “She bites.”
“It’s fine,” Taehyung says, taking the leash in his palm and wrapping it over slightly for a little extra security. Starts walking. Is cheeky, as he says, “I’m used to bitches who bite.”
“You did not just call me a bitch,” Danbi gasps, genuinely affronted. It’s the first time throughout this entire interaction that Taehyung thinks he’s getting genuine emotion from her. Knows the rest of it is bull.
“Well, are you planning on biting me?” He flirts. Wouldn’t be opposed. In fact, he’d quite like it.
“Shut up,” she whines with a deadly roll of her eyes. “Just walk the damn dog."

SICK HEADCANONS
I suddenly had the idea to write these. Only a few, maybe I'll add more in another post later. This is part 1/???
What some of the Creepypastas would do when you're sick! Of course, this is my perception of them based in my own fictional little setting for them. As soon as I finish my current fic, there'll be more set in the same world as The Game. So enjoy this little sneak peek into the future of the series :)
JTK • Jeff the Killer
Honestly, if you were sick- Jeff probably wouldn't give a single shit. He most definitely would make it worse, because of course- he's a bastard. A serial killer. He doesn't care about you at all.
EJ • Eyeless Jack
Jack would probably freak out, especially after growing attached to you. Of course, from his past experiences in medical school, he would know what to do- but it doesn't help the fact that he would think about the worst possible things. He isn't heartless, which you'd learned over the time you've known him.
BD • BEN Drowned
BEN sometimes forgets that you're a human, and that humans get sick, so when you do get sick- he doesn't understand why you feel like shit, and he tries to cheer you up by playing video games with you, but it doesn't help. He only realizes it once you're coughing, and from then he panics. He does his best to comfort you, but he doesn't remember the first thing about that kind of stuff.
JE • Jane Everlasting
Jane knew you were sick before you even knew. She got to making soup, and a compress for your head. With her around, your recovery was more than swift. Of course, she cares about your wellbeing more than anything else.

hii mommy!!
thanks for letting me claim the emoji😁
i just started my nsfw blog and i have a few question. you mentioned about fake domme and assholes here, do you have any advice on how to spot them or any indication that i should be aware of?
thankss mommy

Hi, little otter!
You're most welcome, my little darling.
It's quite simple to spot/realize that someone is a fake Dom/me. That is, of course, when they try to establish communication with you. This will usually start with something quite rude, like "Hi slut/*enter any derogatory word here*."
Although some submissives enjoy being degraded, starting off communication like that is just plain rude. Just because someone's blog is subby, does not mean that "Dom/mes" shouldn't respect you. This shows that they have a very poor understanding of BD/SM, dynamics, and such.
Fake Dom/mes will expect certain things from you immediately. And again, of course things can be expected within an established dynamic, or after communication has been established. Some will downright demand pictures, tell you to perform acts for them, and demand the utmost respect.
Which is absurd. Like. As a Dom/me, you earn respect and trust from those that you interact and/or play with.
So long story short, if a random account tries to contact you with very sketchy comments to begin with, the alarm bells in your head will start going off.
For those that come on slowly and then become red flags, it can be something like not respecting your limits/boundaries, or always trying to subtly push them. Of course, if pushing limits is a kink of both of you, it will be communicated prior. In addition to this, not checking in during scenes/play, and not providing sufficient and proper aftercare is also a red flag.
If you have any more questions, feel free to pop in, little otter!
I wish you the best with your blog! There are some truly amazing people here on k!nkblr! xx

BD&H chapter 5
Masterpost Wattpad Quotev Ao3 ch. 4 | x | ch. 6
Summary: The monsters have been on the surface for a few years now, and even after being legally given citizenship, humans are still wary of them.
When monsters start disappearing, their dust is swept under the carpet even as the Ebott City Police Department try their best to get to the bottom of it. Then humans start disappearing and citizens revolt against what looks like retaliation. Kate, an independent, newly recruited detective, decides to take matters into her own hands when her superiors fail to make sufficient progress.
With the help of the other recruits and her new monster friends, she’ll have to find the culprit lest she lose both her job and the rights of monsterkind.

5. Prudent Prandium
Spicy food, cryptic games, and friendship start…? Also, being on-call kinda sucks.
“Thanks again for picking me up,” I said as I climbed off Sans’ motorcycle.
When he had finally sent me the address to their place, I was surprised to find out that buses didn’t travel that far north of Ebott. Sans had been quick to offer himself to take me to his home. I had been reluctant to accept his offer, but when he showed up at my apartment on a space blue motorcycle wearing a leather jacket and fingerless gloves, it was hard to say no. Especially with the prospect of riding a motorcycle as cool looking as his.
“Of course! I can even drop you off afterwards,” he said, parking the cycle. I cringed at the offer, having thought I could just walk back when it was late enough that he would have forgotten.
I gazed around myself as he led me to the front door, the sparse streetlights not doing justice to the beautifully decorated garden just in front of the house. With the cute fairy lights strung up along the house, I barely made out a manicured lawn dotted with wild flowers, full to bursting flower boxes lining the brown porch, and a wooden swing seat hanging on it. It felt cosy what with the warm lights coming from the windows and how peaceful the entire neighbourhood was.
“What time would you like to go back?” Sans asked, reminding me to follow after him on the cobblestone path, and that he wouldn’t let me walk back home if he had any say in it.
I sighed before responding. “If nine isn’t too late, I could go back then?”
“Perfect! Ample time to show you my puzzles!”
I chuckled as he bounded up the steps, curious as to what his puzzles may be.
“Welcome to my humble—duck!”
Surprised by the sudden command, I didn’t react in time and got a face full of pie. My eyes were screwed shut as I tried to process what just happened. I recognised Papyrus snickering which was quickly interrupted by the chastising voice of Sans. With a comical splat, the pie fell from my face and I began removing the cream from my eyes. I took a tentative lick and was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted.
“Mmm. Blueberry?”
The bickering stopped and I watched the brothers curiously. Sans’ back was toward me and I couldn’t make out Papyrus’ face with the light behind him.
“Was that the dessert?” Sans asked, and I watched Papyrus deny it vehemently as I took another lick of icing.
“If it was, it’s berry nice,” I commented, content with cleaning my face with my tongue. Sans snorted before turning to me with an apologetic expression on his face.
“Sorry, Kate. I’ll show you the bathroom.” I shrugged and he led me into the house, pausing in the threshold to tell Papyrus to clean up his mess before leading me past a couple of rooms.
I tried taking everything in, the warmth of the house rivalling that of Muffet’s as a spicy aroma invaded my nose. Sans moved too quickly for me to notice much other than the yellow lighting in the living room and dimmer lights as we walked into a hallway.
“Sorry about Papyrus,” he started as I admired the family pictures lining the wall. “I told him to deactivate his pranks.”
I shrugged. “Eh. I walk into the shared house of the legendary prank master. I should’ve been more prepared.” After spending an afternoon pranking his protégé, I should have anticipated him doing something like this.
Sans gave me an odd look as he stopped in front of a wooden door. He considered me for a moment as I wiped away more icing to lick. He shook his head, perma-grin widening before gesturing to the door. “Bathroom. You may use what you need. Can I trust you’ll find your way to the living room?”
I nodded in confirmation and he gave me a smile before exclaiming that he had to make sure that Papyrus didn’t actually mess with the dessert. I watched him rush off, a grin on my face, before entering the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised—for the second time that night—to find it decorated with many potted plants and succulents. Marvelling at the green and grey tiling, I wondered whether skeletons even needed bathrooms.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I grimaced at the sight of cream in my braids and on my outfit, and got to work removing as much as I could. A couple of washcloth rinses later, I was scrutinising my face for any residual cream. I gave myself a reassuring smile as I tried to wrap my head around the fact that I was in the house of new friends, removing cream from my braids after being pied. I snorted at the thought, the reality of it being too ridiculous to actually be true and yet there I was.
I was ready to leave when a notification on my phone gave me pause. Removing it from my pants, I was pleasantly surprised—again—that it was a text from my brother. He was responding to the image that I had sent almost a month ago. I deflated at the late reply, vague congratulations after apologising for forgetting, before switching off my phone. Heaving out a sigh, I switched it on again to respond as patiently as I could before another notification appeared on my screen.
I immediately clicked on the chat, wondering why Papyrus was texting. He had slipped his phone number into my purse after the pranking and after a while of deliberating—and pretty much forgetting that I had it—I had decided to text him. I quickly found out that that had been a mistake as he bombarded me with jokes and memes that had me laughing more frequently than I should have been. My eyes flicked up to the earlier image of a duck holding a knife in its beak, and I clucked my teeth as I realised that he had been warning me about tonight.
At the sight of a sticker of someone raising their eyebrows, I realised that I had been in the bathroom for too long. Tucking my phone away, I did a last once over before making my way back to the living room, guided by the wall of pictures. My nose scrunched up when I found Papyrus lounging on the sofa, pink slippers on the seat as he rested his head on his hands with his sockets closed.
When I cleared my throat to alert him of my arrival, he opened a singular socket and raised a hand in greeting before going back to napping. I shook my head as I took a seat on a free chair, moving the cushion so it rested on my lap.
“Duck, huh?”
He snickered at my comment and despite my earlier annoyance at not having realised what the image had meant, I laughed along with him.
“Nice place,” I said, looking around the room when he didn’t say anything afterward. The living room was cosy with warm lights on the walls beside more pictures and art. Shelves hung beside the TV, holding books, boardgames and what looked like videogames. He didn’t immediately respond, and I busied myself with trying to make out some of the pictures on the walls instead.
The sound of shifting clothes had me glancing back at him and I was surprised that he was already looking in my direction. His eyes flickered to the entrance to another room where soft noises and delectable scents were coming from, before flicking back to me.
“Why a cop?”
I furrowed my brows at the question, or rather, his tone of voice. He was speaking low as if he didn’t want his brother to hear and he almost sounded accusatory, as if I was the one sneaking around family.
Well.
“To protect and serve,” I shrugged.
He scoffed and I immediately got defensive, readying a response on my lips. As though sensing that an argument was about to break out, Sans waltzed into the living room with a beaming smile. He shot a withering glare at Papyrus who sighed and sat up properly on the couch before turning back to me with a radiant smile. I smiled back weakly, ignoring the wary look Papyrus was sending me behind his brother.
“Welcome, again, to our humble home,” Sans said, taking a seat on another chair. With each of them on either side of me, I had the weirdest sensation of being trapped. I quelled the strange feeling before responding to him.
“Heh, yeah.” I scratched at the side of my face. “Thank you for inviting me.”
We continued with some idle talk, Papyrus speaking up only when his brother asked him to, and I found myself getting more and more comfortable in the cosy environment. Before long, Sans suggested we actually eat before the food got cold. I followed after his enthusiastic movements, chuckling along the way as Papyrus trailed after us. I stumbled to a stop when we reached the dining room, my eyes widening at the sight before me.
The lights had been dimmed and candles lit, decorating the table beside the multitude of closed serving dishes. I glanced down at my black jumpsuit, feeling completely underdressed for the occasion. Although, what occasion it was, I wasn’t entirely sure. Sans pulled out my chair for me before taking his own seat at the head, Papyrus sitting across from me.
“This is a lot for a simple friendship dinner,” I mumbled.
“Well, friendship is far from a simple occasion, and requires all extravagance,” Sans explained, his hands clasped on the table.
“And he wanted an excuse to cook,” Papyrus snickered.
“Hush, brother,” he smiled. “I hope you don’t mind a bit of spice,” he said, before opening one of the dishes.
Hot steam bundled out, carrying with it scents of well-seasoned food and a plethora of spices. My mouth watered at the foods hiding within the dishes and I couldn’t wait to actually taste them, wondering if they had magic infused in them too.
“I don’t mind,” I finally said, remembering Sans’ concern for me.
He passed a dish to me filled with what he told me was Spanish Rice and I scooped a healthy helping of it onto my plate, sighing as more steam wafted into my face. He continued passing me dishes until I could barely see the plate underneath. I flushed at the thought of me being greedy, but Sans seemed ecstatic that I had taken so much, even offering me more despite my already overladen plate. At Sans’ encouragement, we tucked in, the silence occasionally broken by my appraisal of the food.
“Alphys tells me your training is going well.”
I looked up sharply from my food, first glancing at Sans who was concentrated on his own plate, before finding Papyrus’ gaze who was trying desperately not to laugh. I pursed my lips together as I felt the beginning of my own laughter, before going back to my food.
Alphys still hadn’t forgiven me for the prank and was taking it out on me during our training sessions. My sores throbbed at the reminder before the feeling was washed away with a spoonful of food.
“That’s good to know,” I finally said, when I felt my laughter wouldn’t burst out of me.
He continued asking a couple more work related questions which I answered dutifully, trying my best to ignore the scrutinising look Papyrus seemed to be giving me. As I cut into a tamale, I realised that I had done a poor job of getting to know my hosts.
“Where do you work, Papyrus?” I glanced up at him from the food and watched him shrug.
“Ebott.”
I snorted into my food while Sans grumbled beside me.
“Seriously?” He was smirking at me and I had the distinct feeling that he wouldn’t give me any more information. “Is it better than the Underground?”
I realised my mistake as soon as I said it. The table descended into quiet and I looked up to find both of them focused intently on their food. I stumbled over my words to amend my mistake.
“Sorry- I didn’t mean- I was just curious…”
“That’s okay,” Sans said gently. He was still focused on his meal, but it didn’t seem forced anymore. “It is much better on the surface.”
I ducked my head in understanding, scolding myself for bringing up what must have been a traumatic experience at the literal dinner table. The meal was silent after that, all conversation ceasing after my mistake. The atmosphere lightened again when Sans brought in the dessert, the table having been cleared with a surprising efficiency from the duo. It was a blueberry cobbler, if the blue oozing out of the pie crust was anything to go by, and I was once again overwhelmed by how good it smelt.
“Toriel taught me how to make pies,” Sans said conversationally, as he dished out slices. He gave me an especially large piece and I was glad that I had a separate stomach for dessert.
“You mean the queen of the Underground?” I asked incredulously, once I had actually registered what he said. He grinned at me as he scooped some vanilla ice cream onto my plate, enough to cover the remaining space on it. After the meal we just had, I didn’t know whether I’d actually be able to finish it. Papyrus was looking at me like he doubted I would, and I decided that I would prove him wrong.
“You guys must have been pretty close,” I said before taking a bite of food. I let the sweet flavours of the dessert envelop me, as more magic washed over me.
“Yes, well, we had to look after each other,” Sans responded.
I was reminded of what Alphys said back at Toriel’s house and subsequently how horrible it must have been to be down there. My stomach twisted in sympathy as I stared down at the food.
“I’m glad you guys made it out,” I said softly. Sans hummed in acknowledgement before spluttering in outrage. I lifted my head in time to catch Papyrus squeezing a mountain of honey on top of his slice of pie. My nose wrinkled in distaste as Sans grilled him about how that was going to ruin the flavour profile of the food.
I watched them bicker back and forth, idly putting portions of pie in my mouth. I couldn’t even taste it anymore, an acrid feeling settling in my stomach as I watched their sibling dynamic unfold. I shut my eyes briefly when they stung before opening them again to find an empty plate.
“Have you ever played battleship?” I started, blinking rapidly to clear my blurry eyes. I nodded my head in answer which seemed to make his smile widen.
“Then I shall show you no mercy!” He pulled me out of my seat and I dazedly followed after him, vaguely aware of Papyrus behind us. He led me to the living room where he pulled out cushions from underneath the coffee table and sat me down on one of them. He collected a variety of game boxes from the shelf before taking a seat opposite me. Papyrus was sprawled on the couch beside us, his feet off the coach and his sockets drifting closed as Sans set up the game.
I furrowed my brows as I watched him. “This isn’t battleship.”.
“It’s slightly modified,” he replied, waving me off before starting a very advanced and seemingly life-threatening game of battleship.
Needless to say, I lost. A lot. But the snickers from Papyrus and Sans’ shouts of victory had me enjoying it all anyway before we moved onto different games. Sans showed me more of his puzzles; modified games tricked up with circuits; various 3D shapes with colour coded solutions, and picture puzzles that weren’t all that they seemed. We didn’t actually play any of them, save for the strange puzzle, as he explained that they would take far too long to actually complete with the limited time that we had. He did insist that we play one of his modified game boards though.
“How did you…?” Sans was looking at me with an awed expression on his face, while Papyrus’ brows were raised in mild surprise.
I shrugged in answer, giggles escaping me as the aftermath of good food and warm company lulled me into a state of bliss. “I’m a detective in training. You really thought I wouldn’t be able to sus you out?”
“Huh.” I glanced at Papyrus whose brows were now furrowed as Sans started resetting the puzzle.
“That has to constitute as cheating of some kind,” he grumbled, putting the pieces in a new order as I watched the pattern grow.
“Don’t hate the player,” I chuckled. I glanced at Papyrus again, who hadn’t stopped staring at me since I mentioned being a detective.
“See something you like, Rus?” I asked as I started the updated puzzle. Sans was watching the board intently, smirking oh so slightly when I moved a piece in seemingly the wrong place, giving me the hint that I needed to move it somewhere else.
He snorted in answer, finally flicking his gaze toward the board as I tried to figure out the solution to Sans’ puzzle by his expressions alone. I could try to figure out the pattern on my own, but watching his face change was far more interesting. He grumbled when the blue light switched on, indicating I had figured out the puzzle and I laughed, surprised that my plan had worked again.
“Okay! This arrangement will certainly confound you!” He didn’t seem discouraged in the slightest, shifting the arrangement of the pieces yet again. His quick movements were interrupted by his phone going off, a jaunty sound that matched his personality perfectly. He reluctantly dug it out of his pocket, frowning when he saw who was calling.
“I’ll be a second,” he said as he left the living room. We watched his retreating figure, his voice annoyed as he answered the phone. I contented myself with creating my own puzzle for him to solve when he came back, a simple arrangement that could be easily figured out by the likes of Sans. I felt Papyrus looking at me again as I searched for some scrap paper to write down my clue.
“Detective, huh?” I hummed in answer, scribbling down a couple of lines of corny poetry for him to figure out later.
“I swear I mentioned it before,” I said when he wouldn’t stop staring. I smiled at my work before finally facing him. He was still staring at me, like I was one of Sans’ puzzles he was trying to work out. I stuck my tongue out at him, dopey and comfortable after the food and the warmth that their home provided, that I didn’t even think about it.
He stuck out an orange tongue in return and my eyes widened at the sight, new questions forming in my mind at the use of magic. I was about to ask when Sans walked back into the room, an annoyed expression on his face. It was so foreign on a place I was used to seeing joy and excitement that my previous questions were replaced with one of concern.
“What’s wrong?”
“Work call,” he waved me off, the expression disappearing with it. “I have to get to the station urgently.”
“Did something happen?” I asked, vaguely remembering what his role in the police department was.
“Nothing to worry about,” he smiled. “I shouldn’t be long. You don’t mind waiting, do you?”
“I don’t mind,” I said, glancing at my phone for the time to find that the night was still young.
“Wonderful!” He beamed and I really did think that everything was fine. He turned towards his brother who had been watching the encounter with that curious expression of his. “I’ll be off, then. Papyrus…?”
Papyrus rolled his eyes at the notion, his face shifting back into a lazy expression. “Yeah, yeah. See you bro.”
Satisfied, he turned on his heel, waving once more before leaving the house. We listened for the click of the door and the disappearance of the roar of his motorcycle before turning to each other.
“What was that all about?” I asked, leaning over to place a cushion in my lap. It suddenly felt very wrong to be in this house with only Papyrus.
He shrugged in answer. “Making sure I don’t set up more pranks while he’s gone.”
I snorted, fully believing that he was capable of that, before the room descended into an almost uncomfortable silence. My previous questions resurfaced as my eyes wandered over him in their travel of the room. He had lifted his feet back onto the couch, a fuzzy pink slipper bouncing rhythmically to his moving foot while his eye sockets were closed. I watched his chest rise and fall and before I could ask how he breathed, an eye peeked open and he smirked at me.
“See something you like, Kate?”
I snorted, a smile creeping onto my face before I asked, “how does that work?” He cocked his head to the side—as best as he could, considering he was lying on the couch—in question.
“Breathing. Your tongue,” I gestured to the entirety of him on the couch. “You. How does it work?”
A shit eating grin grew on his face, and I narrowed my eyes at him warily.
“Magic,” he said, giving me jazz hands. I tossed my cushion at him in response, catching him completely off guard. It landed directly on his face and he flailed in surprise. I laughed at the sight of his surprised expression as the cushion slid off him before it was thrown back to me, knocking me onto my back. I chuckled up at the ceiling before the room descended into quiet again, slightly more comfortable than before, but still distinctly wrong. Craning my neck, I caught sight of the empty shelf beside the TV and wondered whether Papyrus would continue showing me his brother’s puzzles. I thought back to how he watched us go through some of them, an amused look on his face whenever I had struggled, and realised that he probably wouldn’t. With a sigh, I moved to return the boxes where they belonged.
As I placed the final one back, save for the one I had set up for him, I caught sight of the videogames on the other shelf. I perused some of the titles, aware of Papyrus’ gaze on me, as it had been the entire time I was tidying up.
“Never heard of some of these before,” I commented, picking up what looked like a rip off of a generic racing game, if the cars were snails and the words were illegible, at least. I showed the game to Papyrus who shrugged from his recline on the couch.
“Underground Original.”
At that notion, I was inclined to play, more intrigued than anything to see how they made games—and maybe make things a little less awkward. “Can we play?”
He shrugged again before motioning to the TV. Giddy with excitement, I fumbled for the switch before picking up the controllers and passing one to him. He set up the console quickly, opening his account while I watched in wonder as the game set up. It had an overly simplistic eight-bit design with minimal colours and even less story complexity, but it was similar enough to your average racing game that I caught on fairly quickly.
Similar enough that I lost to him time and time again. I blamed it on the fact that I hadn’t played games in ages. I quelled the memory that tried to surface of the last time I played videogames, and instead focused on the next race.
“You still haven’t answered my question, you know,” I said in the middle of another lap.
“You didn’t answer mine,” he replied, hitting my snail with a salt bomb that slowed me down. I grumbled in annoyance as I struggled to catch up. When I was at normal speed again with the help of some healing candy, I asked him what he meant.
“You’re a detective.”
“In training,” I said, ignoring the edge to his voice. It seemed to crop up whenever my work was involved. As I thought back to our first interaction at Muffet’s and the police related conversations we had here, my brows furrowed as we started the final lap, realising something.
“Do you hate cops?”
When he didn’t reply immediately, I turned to watch him, accepting that there was no way I was going to win this round anyway. He had a focused expression on his face as he watched the screen and I almost brushed his silence off for just that. Until I noticed his bouncing leg and I figured he just didn’t want to answer.
Which probably meant that he did hate cops.
I shifted in my seat, not sure how to respond to that. In the silence, he selected a different course when he won the last one and we both picked our snails for the new race. As the timer counted down for the start of the race, I figured a little competitive gaming might incline him to conversation.
“Loser has to answer the winner’s questions,” I said as the race began. He glanced at me in surprise as I leaned forward in seriousness, determined to win this round. He snorted before relaxing further into the couch and if I wasn’t so focused, I would have been offended at his nonchalance.
By the last lap, we were neck and neck, and I was willing my snail to go faster, saving my encouragement boosts for the very end. I barely dodged another bomb, a surprised laugh escaping me as I pushed the praise button, barely beating him to the finish line.
“Huh.” He was looking at the screen in shock, the controller lax in his hands as more surprised laughter escaped me.
“I didn’t agree,” he said, angling a wary look in my direction.
“Relax,” I said through laughs. “I was just gonna ask what other games you guys have.” I wasn’t, but he didn’t look like he would answer my original question.
He gazed at me sceptically before moving to switch out the games in the console. I drummed my fingers on the cushion, trying to stay awake as a food coma beckoned me into its grasp. I watched the title sequence of the new game play out, unfamiliar with the name. As he started a new save file and we went through the tutorial, I realised that it seemed to be a co-op puzzle solving game, the likes of which would impress Sans. He said it was another Underground Original when I asked and I started wondering whether the black and white was a trend with their games.
We played in relative silence, Papyrus occasionally explaining a puzzle when I would get stuck. We managed to get to the third level—the true beginning of the story that was being unfolded as we solved the puzzles—when Papyrus’ phone rang. It was a lazy tune with upbeat punches that had me huffing out laughter through my yawns. I glanced at the time on my own phone, alarmed that it was already past nine and Sans still wasn’t back.
“Sans said to drop you off if you’re tired,” he said once the phone call was over. I blinked a couple of times to register what he said before politely shaking my head.
“I’ll be fine. Is Sans still at the station?” I asked, getting up and stretching. He nodded in answer as he watched my actions carefully. I took a step toward the door and he mirrored my movements. My brows furrowed when it happened again.
“What are you doing?” I asked tiredly.
“Where you going?” he countered.
“Home?”
“I—” he shook his head before continuing. “Sans said to drop you off.”
“And I said I’ll be fine.” I tried moving forward again, but Papyrus wouldn’t let me get to the door. The vague feeling of being trapped came back and I held back a frustrated cry when I was blocked again.
“You’re his guest,” he said, standing in the archway of the living room. “It’s the least he could do. Plus, it’s late.”
I clicked my tongue as I swayed on my feet, really wanting to be in bed right now. My eyes whizzed around the room in search of another exit, but I quickly realised that there was no getting home without an escort. Reluctantly, I accepted the offer, not really wanting to upset Sans. At my surrender, Papyrus went to switch off the game console, saving our progress before doing so. He led me out the house, locking the door behind him then turned to survey the dark street. I followed in his stead, the open space freeing as a cool breeze woke me up enough to realise that we might be teleporting. My stomach twisted and I wrinkled my nose at the thought of losing all the good food I had eaten.
“Are we teleporting?” I asked, hoping that the answer would be no.
“Yup. Where’s your place?” I sighed before telling him the name of my apartment and the street it was on. He hummed in response before suggesting a walk.
“I thought you knew a shortcut,” I said, taking a cautious step back.
His eyes widened slightly and I warily watched him scratch at his hoodie.
“I’ve never been to your apartment,” he started carefully, raising his hands at my defensive stance. The sight made me frown, something about it feeling distinctly wrong. “And the closest shortcut is out of the neighbourhood.”
At his placating response, I relaxed my stance, realising that I may have been overreacting having just had dinner at their place. He dropped his hands, stuffing them into his hoodie before offering me a weak smile and starting down the road. I moved to match his slow gait, letting the cool air sober me more as we walked in silence.
“How do your shortcuts work?” I asked as we finally passed a street lamp. I twisted around to see where the last one had been and frowned at the distance. Under the dim lighting, I barely made out his shit eating grin and I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously.
“And don’t say magic,” I added, causing him to snicker. He was otherwise silent as we walked, and I had to turn to him a couple of times to make sure that he hadn’t suddenly disappeared on me.
“Know how human shortcuts work?” I nodded my head in answer, startled at the sudden sound. “Same concept.” I listened intently as he explained complex physics to me in layman terms, talking about making pockets in space to get to different places quicker. I watched him gaze at the stars as he spoke, realising that this was the most he’s ever said to me in one go since we met. His voice jumped and faltered, changing pitch occasionally as he cleared his throat often and I found myself smiling as I grasped what he was saying.
“So, it’s not really teleporting after all, huh?” I said once he’d finished explaining. We were still walking and I was beginning to wonder whether we were really slow, or the neighbourhood was just a lot bigger than I thought it was. He nodded his head in answer, scratching at the front of his hoodie before we fell into silence again. It wasn’t long before we stopped just past the last house and he offered out his hand.
“Am I going to puke again?” I asked, wary of going through another shortcut.
“Probably,” he grinned. I sighed before taking his hand, closing my eyes to somehow dull the sensation of silent weightlessness followed by sudden gravity. I kept my eyes shut for a bit longer, clutching at my stomach and urging it to settle down.
When I felt that the food would stay down for a little longer, I opened my eyes, and immediately squinted them at the bright lights. We were near the centre, alright. Looking around to gather my bearings, I noticed we were pretty close to the nursing home I took night shifts at. With that knowledge, I turned around and took charge in the direction of my apartment, wanting to be in the safety of my home before the food started rioting.
“What?” I asked when he kept glancing at me with an odd expression on his face.
I blinked before laughing, the approach of the end of the night combined with the shortcut then the sudden movement making me slightly delirious—and queasy. Or I may have just been surprised that his usually lazy countenance was keeping up with my faster gait.
“Let’s just hurry up,” I replied when my stomach twisted. We walked in silence again, the bright lights of the city disorienting me and my stomach as we moved closer to my apartment quickly.
He whistled as we neared it, and it only occurred to me then how impressive it actually was. Lit up by security lights and the glowing sign, it fit right into the inner city’s dazzling environment and reminded me how dim the monster neighbourhood had been. I frowned at the thought, my stomach twisting in tandem with it.
“You live here,” he started, a surprised look on his face. “On a policeman’s salary?”
I looked up at the building briefly before shifting my gaze back to him. I shrugged in response, an awkward smile on my face. “We’re not even getting paid.”
I regretted it as soon as I said it, his face shifting into wary concern as I kicked myself internally. Ignoring the look, we covered the remaining distance to the entrance quickly where I turned and gave him a forced smile.
“Goodnight Papyrus,” I said, my stomach twisting again in warning. He nodded in response, schooling his expression before turning around to leave.
I watched him take a couple of steps, guilt and nausea writhing in my stomach as I realised that I was overreacting again. Ignoring the warning call to go to the bathroom, I called out to him before he inevitably disappeared.
“We should finish that game sometime,” I said when he turned around expectantly.
He shrugged in response, his expression hard to read in the darkness he had walked into. He raised a two fingered salute before taking a step to the side and disappearing. The sight made me feel sick as I recalled what he had explained to me about shortcuts. Another warning heave from my stomach had me rushing into my apartment quickly, calling out an apology to the owner as I rushed past them.
A visit to the bathroom and a couple of glasses of water later, and I was laying on my bed, collecting myself from the night. I made sure to send Sans a text, gushing over how good the food was and how fun it had been to hang out with them before ruminating over the conversations of the night. I couldn’t deny that Papyrus made me wary as much as he piqued my interest, and if his cautious hostility was anything to go by, then he felt the same.
More wary than interested, anyway.
Groaning, I reluctantly moved from the bed to change into pyjamas and wash off my makeup before collapsing back onto it. I buried my face into the sheets, wanting to somehow block off my running thoughts as my braids splayed around me.
I had started dosing off when I heard my phone ping with a notification. I anticipated a response from Sans, who I’d learned to be a quick communicator over the past week, and whom I realised was probably still at the station. I quickly sent him a concerned text before opening the chat of the notification, my eyebrows rising in surprise when I found it was Papyrus’. Sitting up, I scrolled to the most recent message, rolling my eyes at the duck before reading it. A soft smile crept up on me at the invitation to hang out next week to continue the game we had started.
I responded in the affirmative before grabbing my bonnet and crawling into bed, wondering whether it was a decision made out of caution or intrigue. With a sigh, I finally let the food coma beckon me into a deep sleep.

Thinking about how Tenjiku was extremely painful but important for Koko and Inupi’s development and sub plot.
It was the moment where the worst fears of both of them emerged in very dangerous moment.
Inupi feared that Koko saw him only as Akane’s substitute and Koko feared that Inupi was using him for his own interest - the gang and money, since he’s good at making it - like everyone else, having internalized and accepted it was the only way to make amend for Akane’s death and that it was the only thing he was good at and that people needed him for.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Take into consideration both of them was thinking of saving the other:
when Mucho and Sanzu ambushed them, Koko had no choice in joining Tenjiku to save Inupi -and Takemichi-, (and it's not that just because Kakucho says to Takemichi that Koko "chose to be in Tenjiku himself" , that's how it went: it's obvious Koko was coerced and tried to do the best he could to help Inupi and himself given the situation: he was alone, he couldn't fight the whole Tenjiku alone), while Inupi wanted to be in Toman, under Takemichi’s division, because he saw that Toman is similiar to the original Shin's BLACK DRAGON and because he knew they wouldn’t have been used anymore, Koko in particular since he’s the “money maker”.
But Koko was so used to that life and to not consider his own wishes that he never reconsidered joining Toman, it wasn't the safest option. Koko had no attachment to any gang in particular, he cared about Inupi and his money making activities, therefore as long as Inupi wanted him in a gang, he sticked with him (we saw in the last birthday pic that Wakui draws for Koko, that middle school koko made business with the haitanis before being in the 10th gen BD, he clearly had his own illegal side activities unrelated to gangs-of course being in a gang helped with his business and of course when he was one of the executives of BD, that gave him also power and protection, but Koko always did what he did alone, before being in any gang) ;
but that time Toman was weak, meanwhile Tenjiku, even if it was the opposite of the gang Inupi wanted to belong to, was the safest option and a situation more similar the the 10th generation Black Dragon, where violence and profits were the norm; so Koko negotiated a place for Inupi if he’d joined Tenjiku, thinking it was the safest option.
Meanwhile Inupi was willing to fight to finally be free from that world. I am always so sad that Inupi's trauma is always so overlook and never directly addressed in the manga (un-directly it was, I mean joining a gang it's not a thing that you generally do when everything is fine in your life). Because Inupi
was saved by Koko when he was looking for Akane - and Inupi knows it, that's where the fear of being just a substitute for Akane comes from
sees Koko being desperate about trying to save her and blaming himself when she died anyway
is aware that his parents have financial problems after loosing the house and ofc they're a mess for Akane
some of the. following facts are in headcanon territory, but how could have Inupi have felt after her death? of course we see him crying and sad, but he's aware he's alive "by chance". How did this conditioned him? did he felt he wasn't supposed to be there? that his parents and Koko didn't love him enough and would have preferred her instead of him - canonically we kow Inupi doesn't go home often -ch.157- and so we can assume he has not the best relation ship with his parents, which is understandable after such a tragedy; we know Inupi is grateful that Koko always followed him -ch.142-, which is the same Koko felt about Inupi -ch.252., but was Inupi grateful to be alive at all or he himself would have preferred to die? and his relationship with his late sister? he cries, he grieves, but then what? is there a part of him that sees Koko so desperate for Akane that, in an irrational moment, would like to be on the receiving end of all koko's attentions? does he get a closure? probably he does, but it's off screen.
At this point of the story, -Tenjiku arc- Inupi understood Koko's behavior, when he tried to talk about the whole situation (in the previous arc, when he asked Koko if he was still thinking about "the promise") and Koko denied. Inupi never insisted because he knew Koko wasn't ready yet. Maybe Inupi, probably for narrative reasons, or maybe because that's how he is as a person, or maybe for some other reason that Wakui didn't explain, somehow managed to arrive to a point of self awareness, but in that moment, it was a complete chaos, and the insecurities and the communication problems that Inupi and Koko always had emerged and couldn't be contained and escalated the way we witnessed.
Even if they had the other’s well being in mind, but all their deepest fears came out in the worst moment and that lead to their break-up.
**spoilers for the end of the arc and their sub plot resolution in the final arc under the cut**
But even after their fight they still wished the best to each other, showing their genuine care even after what happened, because in the end, Koko wanted to be with Inupi, it's his conscience in Akane's form that "frees" him and allows himself to follow his heart and to stay with Inupi forgiving himself for something that wasn't his fault❤️‍🩹

PROJECT BD UPDATE !
this is a bit of an honest talk as an admin/creative director in lgc. part 2 of BLACK BANQUET should've been up weeks ago. unfortunately, not long before that happened, actress han sohee was embroiled in an 'attitude' controversy. as i (admin el) was waiting to see the impact, her follow-up scandal happened and she started being dropped by her advertisers and even quit a film project. with this in mind, i was a bit hesitant as to what to do with the npc character. this might not seem like a big deal, but if i kept wondering if down the line more negative events surrounding her happen, what to do of this. of course, we could simply change the name/npc, but these npcs were carefully chosen for this script. after discussion with my co-creative director, admin a, we came to the conclusion that the best thing would be to replace the npc with another actress. ic wise, this will be presented as the actress herself quitting the project, which would've put a halt on filming and filming will resume on APRIL 22. as consequences, the cast will have to reshoot several scenes and promotion material. you may use these events for your threads. do not worry detailed information and (most of all) part 2 of BLACK BANQUET will be revealed next week! all the DEADLINES of project BD will be moved 1 MONTH, with one additional requirement for all participants ! i really wanted to get candid and be honest about what happened behind the scenes and give a warning as to the content of the upcoming update ! thank you for your patience - admin el

I finished Jedi Survivor and have to talk about it and nobody I know has it WAHHH
MAJOR SPOILERS FOLLOW
My thought as the catharsis of finishing settles is that I think it's one of my favorite Star Wars things like ever.
For reference, my tippy top tier of Star Wars is the OT (duh), KOTOR series, OG Battlefronts, Mandalorian (particularly S2), Visions (especially The Twins which is maybe my favorite #1 SW thing because I'm so obsessed with Am and it's like Star Wars I love distilled into half an hour), TFA, and some particular TCW and Rebels arcs. There's probably more that I'm forgetting I tend to do that. And of course the Jedi series.
My Jedi series history: I remember at Celebration 2019, one of the best experiences of my life, I left one of the meet and greets (I met Ian McDiarmid and Billy Dee Williams!!!) and my partner at the time and I looked at the main stage and were like "wait what the fuck is Ian from Shameless doing here?!?!" Because we were in lines all day, we didn't see the announcement that Fallen Order was a thing.
And then the first one was a great time. Maybe a bit too hard for my game ability, but with difficulty turned down I was able to handle it. I loved how they just let Cal be kind, just a sweet good dude, like the true spirit of what a Jedi can be is in him, BD-1 is one of the best game companions ever, the supporting cast of Merrin/Cere/Greez was REAL good, loved the main villain and made sure to get her figure and Cal's, and the failure is not the end scene made me ugly ugly cry and is one of my favorite (I'm talking favorite a lot which I think is a persistent theme for me playing this series). So I was excited for Survivor obviously.
And it was very very good. There are a lot of things I can't stop thinking about in game, I had trouble sleeping one night (not cuz of the game it was just one of my "well we aren't sleeping tonight" nights and spent most of it just like "wow what about this thing in jedi survivor" which is the sign of a game I either supremely cared about or was supremely troubled about (for example of the latter, I legit lost sleep after finishing Mass Effect 3 LOL).
I loved how big the opening was and how well it told the themes of the story and Cal's journey, weary from fighting the Empire and weary from losing friend after friend.
The inciting incident of Cal finding the frozen in bacta Jedi from the High Republic era Dagan Gera was my like "YES. OH MY GOD YES. RESPAWN YOUR VISION FOR STAR WARS IS JUST LIKE THIS IS WHAT I WANT!!!" Something about this angsty anime boy villain had me like "RELEASE THE ACTION FIGURE FOR HIM ASAP PLEASE HE'S COOOOOOOL." And the High Republic thing had me excited for Cal to get a new story that was his own deal that wasn't just Cal vs. Empire (well. didn't get that entirely but the main thrust of the story was the High Republic adventure which was fun.)
The family aspect was handled really well here too, with Cal's family being separated and you gradually reunite with them. Greez is like the lovable grandpa uncle, Cere the new parent/guardian figure to Cal after losing his previous one, and Merrin as the scary gf. BD-1 of course the loyal best friend pet, I have a small dog so like BD 1 and Cal's friendship hits so hard for me.
I thought the moral of the game would be like "you don't need to have this big mythical home in Tanalorr to go for, you have one to establish in Koboh" but they twisted me similarly to Cal breaking the holocron in Fallen Order. The Jedha battle with the crazy walker thing was amazing, and Cal and Merrin are so sweet together that I dug the kiss a lot.
The story felt like it halted for a bit after that and before getting to Dagan at the observatory, with the beautiful force vision duel with Dagan feeling like a "well the game COULD end here and I'd be pretty satisfied" moment. Then things went into high gear with Bode's betrayal leading to everything falling apart. Playing as Cere was amazing, and I did lose my mind for Vader showing up (love the parallel to him being in water for the first game and fire here, third game he'll be in the air or the dirt for the elemental trifecta). I definitely got emotional losing Cere, and thought that was really well handled, dealing with the tragic sense of "this couldn't end up any other way with Vader wanting revenge on her" well. As they said later, she got to go out winning her battle against the dark side and that's beautiful.
The last act of the game is mostly focused on dealing with Bode's betrayal. Cal's dalliances with the dark side are super interesting, because nothing is the same once he gets that first taste. Even the pause menu is tainted afterwards, as if a part of his soul is corrupted by just tapping into that incredible energy once. Mechanically it was a bit clunky to make tapping into the dark side a forced thing like in the last boss fight, and a bit of a clone of Ghost of Tsushima's ghost stance but Sucker Punch ya won't make Sly 5 so I'm not gonna judge if people take stuff from ya. Bode was gone by the end and willing to physically hurt his own daughter so like I didn't feel bad about Cal tapping into the dark side to defeat him (when Bode hit BD-1, that was his "oh there's no coming back for this guy is there" moment). I really loved the ending with the pyre funeral for Cere, Cordova, and Bode. It felt like a movie ending, and Cal talking to Cere about being so afraid of failing, of losing himself to the darkness was beautiful and probably the closest the game got to the failure speech in terms of making me bawl from the first game. After finishing, I felt like I had just finished watching a movie, like the same cathartic feeling of finishing a big Star Wars movie.
My bigger downsides: 155GB for a console game is fucking absurd. That stretch of time where it was just gameplay with the story being light was a bit of a drag (those sequences of just wave after wave of enemy were BS), and it felt like there weren't a lot of planets total (unless the side missions add planets because I just played the main story, that'd be cool if the bounties sent you back to old planets from the first game). I REALLY wish Dagan Gera had more to do and wasn't in the same role as Taron Malicos where he's the like sub-antagonist that gets offed relatively easily because I feel like there was so much more potential with a reawakened High Republic Era Jedi who immediately falls to the dark side. Like Second Sister, I do wish there was more with these super interesting villain characters before they get somewhat anticlimactically killed off, but cool as fuck villains getting somewhat anticlimactically killed off is basically Star Wars tradition.
I think it's a downside of the time period that at the end of the day the Empire has to be the big bad looming over everything. I'd love to see Respawn get a blank slate (there are a couple teams I'd love to see get a blank slate doing their own Star Wars from scratch, like Respawn, the Clone Wars team...) where they aren't beholden to have things fit into a timeline. But the Jedi series has been fine about that so far and nothing's felt like too hopeless or too crunching into a timeline. It was kind of cool in a video game-y way that you can be like "Oh it's the sequel so the formula is setting in, oh here's the sub villain, now we beat them, oh here's a surprise Vader appearance, etc. etc." I was excited for the Raiders led by Dagan to be a new threat for Cal and co., but because it's the Emprie reign era the Imps end up taking the main villain focus, which makes sense ofc, but I'm a slut for new factions.
Another downside that's not the game's fault: I'm streaming the game for a friend, and they guessed the entire plot immediately and I'm so mad at them about it because I hadn't pieced anything together when they did LOL. 30 seconds into Bode's appearance they were like "he did it. traitor. he's a spy for the empire and killed everyone there. i bet vader shows up too" and now I'm like I HOPE YOU DIDNT READ SPOILERS AND ARE JUST ACTING LIKE YOU PREDICTED THIS CUZ THAT'S A LITTLE TOO SPOT ON but I know they're just a genre savvy type. usually I can guess the immediate traitor which is a trope of games but I was just like "bode's voice actor voiced kotallo and charles :) " Part of me is thinking of ways to convince them they're wrong to mislead them as revenge but I'd have to act really well to pull that off and that'd be mean lmao.
What I'm hoping for to close out the trilogy assuming it gets a third game: I don't want Cal to turn to the dark side, but I do trust this team to handle his battle with it well. In a galaxy of tragic endings, there aren't many I want to have a happy ending more than Cal so that's my main hope for the third game. I hope Cal and his family establishing the hidden path is their way out of avoiding a fate of just "vader and the empire wipe them out because canon dictates it so." They've done so well so far that I trust this team to handle wrapping up Cal's story well, so I'm mainly just excited for what's next.

[ID: a tweet from "pep!" reading: "Don't make me tap the sign" with an illustration of a cat wearing a kuffiyah. It's holding a McDonalds bag and a coffee cup with red "no" signs over them, and captioned: "It's not over. Still boycotting." "dizzy!" quote-tweets and adds: "both starbucks and mcdonalds have seen HUGE losses in revenue since the boycotts started. mcdonalds has outright admitted it's bc of the boycotts, and that they're getting hit especially hard in Arab countries. boycotts work! keep going!" End ID.]
McDonalds and Starbucks have indeed admitted to profit losses in Arab and Muslim-majority countries. (Source, Feb 2024.) However, the same article also references McDonalds having a strong quarter worldwide, which I highlight knowing that the userbase of this site skews towards countries where major losses haven't materialized. In other words, consumers in countries like America could be going much further in boycotting.
The Boycott Divest Sanctions Movement delineates between targeted consumer boycotts and organic boycotts. I recommend reading their own words on this, if you're unfamiliar. But in short, they are selective with their officially endorsed boycotts to focus on campaigns where they have a specific goal, and see real potential to achieve that goal. Organic boycotts, on the other hand, are not organized by BDS, and the official movement writes:
BDS supports these boycott campaigns because these companies, or their branches or franchisees in Israel, have openly supported apartheid Israel and/or provided generous in-kind donations to the Israeli military amid the current genocide. If these grassroots campaigns are not already organically active in your area, we suggest focusing your energies on our strategic campaigns above.
If you read that article, you'll see that McDonalds was initially an organic grassroots boycott — not specifically targeted by the BDS National Committee, but nevertheless strongly endorsed. This was initiated after McDonalds Israel donated meals to the genocidal IOF. In early 2024, this escalated when McDonalds Malaysia sued BDS Malaysia for "defamation," leading BDS National to escalate and formalize the call for a targeted boycott. (Source, Jan 2024.)
In their words:
The BNC calls on all supporters of Palestinian rights to escalate the global boycott of McDonald’s until the parent company: 1. Terminates its agreement with its Israeli franchisee over its support for Israel’s war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide; and 2. Terminates its agreement with its Malaysian franchisee, unless it drops its frivolous lawsuit against BDS Malaysia and apologizes for smearing the group and its leaders.
The McDonalds boycott is global, and it has two precise, specifically communicated demands that it sets as goals. On the other hand, the Starbucks boycotts are — to my best knowledge — purely organic, as a response to Starbucks suing the Workers United union over a pro-Palestine social media post. (Source, October 2023.)
Hence, typical guidance for organic boycotts applies. Boycotting Starbucks is of course good, especially if there's already a movement to do so in your area — just don't focus so hard on Starbucks that you lose sight of the other, more targeted boycotts that BDS has endorsed for their achievability and concrete goals.
saw this on Twitter, so... here's a reminder to keep boycotting or start doing so if you were unaware of the boycotts!
Tumblr media
also, remember to do your daily clicks here (it's 100% free to do; how it works is that it generates ad revenue that goes towards aiding Palestinians), spread word about what's going on, and donate to vetted fundraisers if you're able to!
