So they seem to give Aemond all the best traits of Daeron but what about Aegon? Didn't Ryan said that Aegon is "grey" but then give him the worst possible interpretation while giving Aemond the best interpretation they could give to any character? Are they planning to make Aegon the villain of the green when it's was Aemond in the canon source material? What about daeron too ?
I think that the original Sapochnik plan was to make Aegon the "Joffery Baratheon" of the series - if you've read the Sapchnik treatment of Season 2 and heard Tom Glynn-Carney's panel than you know that Aegon was going to be a monster in the Sapochnik run Season 2.
In the treatment for Season 2 there is a scene in which Aegon uses Sunfyre to murder a bunch of Small folk at Rook's Rest while Aemond watches on helplessly. Glynn-Carney also said that Aegon was gonna "Menace" Alicent and perhaps force her into doing ... things, by the sound of it.
However, since the Sapochnik's treatment was rejected and then he walked out - probably because Warner/Discovery wanted a different tone for the show - GRRM and Condal did a complete and total rewrite of Season 2 ...
So, I'd probably listen a lot more to what Condal has to say than Glynn-Carney, cause, Condal knows what is in the new Season 2 scripts and TCG can only speak to what he talked with Sapochnik about before he got shit canned.
As for Daeron? I mean I can't speak to it. There's all sorts of rumors. The earliest rumor was that they were looking for a Daeron since October and that they were looking for someone that looked like Olivia Cooke's male twin but was "Iberian featured" as to match up with Fabian Frankle. But that was in October ... when shooting was supposed to start in November 2022.
Now, your guess is as good as mine.
However, I don't have any faith that they're gonna do Daeron justice - cause this is 2023 and you can't have a straight, heroic, and honorable, alpha male character. I mean, fuck, Sapochnik axed Daeron from season one - and the show - cause his character made the Greens seem more heroic and would make Rhaenyra look bad later on in the story when the war comes down between Daeron vs. Rhaenyra at the end of it.
I'm sure they'll make him weak willed or led around, or they'll keep everything but make him gay so that they can say that Alicent and Criston sent him away to - conversion therapy - to make Alicent and Criston look bad and homophobic ... despite GRRM saying that Alicent nor any of her children are gay.
GRRM even said once that Daeron had a secret wife - Elizabeth Woodville and Edward IV style - but he never clarified if he was talking about "The Daring" or "The Young Dragon" ... and still hasn't

thoughts on the pokemon presents:
path to the peak seems really cute. probably too corny for me to handle, but a really nice little animation for kids wanting to get into the tcg.
ok, i'm not one who really cares much about graphics or performance, but detective pikachu... well, it looks rough. i really think it must've gone through some development issues. it was announced all the way back alongside LGPE, and it doesn't seem to have any paldean pokemon like you'd expect for a gen IX spinoff title.
a new trailer for the horizons dub which says nothing and doesn't even commit to a release date. god, netflix fucked the anime up so bad. at least we got a brand-new shot of the pendant turtle at the end, so we can hopefully expect more of that soon. we don't have an episode title for the 18th, and Tomiyasu is on storyboards, so maybe it'll show up there?
the go, cafe, unite, and sleep stuff doesn't particularly interest me, but the masters news is fun (even if we already knew it all from the datamine). more types of sync pairs, and an event for spectrier, which is one of my favorite legendaries. i was hoping nemona would have at least a slight spanish accent, but at least she accents her own name.
tcg and stadium coming to nso are cool, but i never really had any interest in them anyway.
paldean winds is really exciting. it seems like a twilight wings style with a more focused story. way more hype than the actual anime news.
i see a lot of people excited about the mew/mewtwo event, but... god, just let me catch my own mew. let me shiny hunt it. randomizing all its attributes for the mystery gift is a cool gimmick to personalize it, but i can just never care about freebie pokemon like this.
huh, i felt much more positive watching the presentation, but writing it down makes me realize how mixed my thoughts actually are. whatever, we're on to the mostly positive stuff now.
i'm glad that we do actually end up returning to paldea for the dlc story. it felt really weird that "the hidden treasure of area zero" takes place in a place completely separate from area zero. on a similar note, i really hope we rejoin with at least arven, since he's the character most connected to area zero.
not sold on the new characters yet, but sv had strong enough writing i have confidence in their ability to pull them off. the idea of a second elite four in particular is a lot of fun.
dripplin and archuladon are exciting just in concept, since they show that likely do intend to continue forward with giving new evolutions to old pokemon. and these are very recent pokemon, too - it doesn't seem like there's a limit to how they'll innovate old designs, and i can't wait to see what the future holds.
scarlet stays winning with its paradox designs. iron crown is... whatever, but i love raging bolt. never been the biggest fan of raikou, but give it the exeggutor treatment and i'm all over it. i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that these guys (along with walking wake, iron leaves, and the inevitable paradox entei and terrakion) aren't shiny locked.
one odd absence - we still haven't heard about any way to get old legendaries. i think a lot of people expect it based on precedent, but there's been no sign of it thus far. i wonder whether they're waiting to unveil it or if the feature is missing this time around for whatever reason. praying for news about it whenever our next big news drop rolls around.

Anonymous Ask Responses #13
As expected, not too long after the new part, a bunch of asks came up! And as usual, I'll be replying to them here! At this point even if they're not all Anonymous, they all get put in here for the sake of making it a single post. Most of them are Anons so I guess the name sticks? Either way, here's the questions- along with another bit of art by @athenwrench at the end (thank you for the art!)
————————
First, a little segment of people who are happy to see Gaster getting completely destroyed.
"Pt gaster is pissed"
Pretty much, yeah. How unfortunate that Player had to pull a Jevil and go for chaos- since chaos is unpredictable. (Insert 'The World Revolving' here, alongside PT!Gaster screaming.)
"Peck you gaster lol"
Yup. Just a big peck neck right there. Bigger than DJ Grooves if I can say so- although the Conductor may disagree. And yes, I am a fan of A Hat In Time.
"Pfft 'slot face' perfect name for pt gaster lol" (This ask was delayed for a bit, so to whoever sent this, sorry I ended up missing it for so long.)
I mean, it's kinda a given. And also it makes him more akin to a bishop rather than a knight in terms of the shapes of chess pieces.
And now, back to our regular programming.
————————
"I live to see kris smiling"
Can 100% relate. I think seeing Gaster get completely one-upped and then just ragequit would make most anyone who hates him smile. Which probably includes most of us.
————————
"I think Susie’s reaction was pretty much everyone’s reaction to Gaster being a Lightner lol"
Yeah, pretty much! Nobody really expected that- we probably all expected Gaster from Undertale, but no- he's human. Lynx really pulled a fast one on us there!
————————
"Who is your favorite Deltarune character from chapters 1 and 2"
From the games? I'll have to be honest, that's a pretty good question. I kinda have a tie between a few of them.
Firstly there's good ol' Spamton G. Spamton. I really think he'd have been a nice character to know had we seen him before... well, whatever happened to him. But the strings that held him up, and yet dragged him down, made him someone else entirely. I kinda feel bad for the guy.
Then, we have Ralsei. Wholesome goat boi- need I say more? Though some people speculate there's more to him than that, I think that the reason he talks with Kris while we're watching the others is because of Kris being concerned about what we might do. They're insecure- they wanted to talk with Ralsei on his own, so that nobody else would know what might be going on. Perhaps there's more than just us controlling Kris- after all Kris is always asleep before doing... well, whatever happens at night during the games. And lastly, while Noelle is also very high on the list, the character who snags the third spot is...
Berdly.
Yes, I know. It's insane. But dammit I relate to the guy. Partially because of the stress put on him because he's seen as being so smart (though the reasons for my end are different), and partly because...
Well, let's just say I have probably well over 5k Pokémon TCG cards. If not more.
So yeah. I'm a bit of a geek in some ways myself.
...Oh yeah, KK is also a fun character. He actually would let us buy 400 bagels if we had the room in our inventory. Great guy.
————————
@prhthezanko:
"Was that a chess pun? Nice. So out of curiosity, did Susie see any defining features that the Player might identify? Since I know you believe the player didn't see the Ralsei and the others against Gaster, so they wouldn't know the backstory, could they maybe put 2 and 2 together with his appearance being similar to Gaster?" Yes, that was in fact a chess pun. I wanted to do something creative with the ACT menu, and the moment I saw that the one consistent option was 'Check', I knew right then what I wanted to do. Because that one option is what is consistent throughout both Undertale and Deltarune- so the opportunity to make something unique from it was perfect. (And I mean, come on, with PT!Gaster, it was bound to make for a good scene. Especially with how much board game referencing he does... that made it so much better, throwing him off with the same thing he does.)
As for your question, Susie probably would have seen the scars, but the Player may not fully put the pieces together since they didn't see Gaster themselves- at least, not after his helmet broke. But during the next encounter, well... I can only give you a simple reply.
————————
And now for the bit of art by @athenwrench... it may not be the best, but nobody is perfect right off the bat. And even after a while, nobody is perfect. So I'm still quite impressed regardless!
"Yup, he's pissed. I went for a sort of pasty white appearance because he hasn't seen the sun in who knows how long."
I definitely like the detail of how the slot in the helmet is still seen- although the question remains, how the heck does he see through it?! Does he have a camera on the outside and screens inside or something stupid like that? It's really kinda baffling.
But yeah, he definitely hasn't seen the sun for... what was it again? 66.5 years?
That's gotta be a lot of lost vitamin D. Stunned that they're still going- the bunker must've had supplies of the stuff.
————————
And with that, we have reached the baker's dozen of Anon Ask segments! Hopefully the next part of the story won't take nearly as long- though I can't say that it'll be out this month, for which I apologize. I'm gonna be taking a small vacation at the later end of the month, during which I'll likely not be online much. So I'm most likely replying early-mid March.
But when I get back, trust me I'm going to be writing the next part for you all. I really appreciate how much you all enjoy the story, and I hope that I can keep it enjoyable!
Until then, see you all!
Oh yeah, before I forget:
LynxGriffin has been reposting a new project, I don't know for sure whether or not it's him working on it (I think it is, but if it is, he seems to be keeping it quiet. Probably for a good reason.)
However, whether he's the one making it or not, I still really like how it looks and works, and it's only just about to start the real story. So if you haven't checked it out, you should do that now!
Anthrofractal
I'm going to be adding this to the pinned post as well, alongside a link to DemoPhone's Chronology story! So if you ever want to check those out, you can always find the links there!
For real this time: see you all later!

Oh wow, what a Saturday it's become! These episodes came out of the woodwork, and holy smokes I got so excited to watch em!!!
Okay......how many episodes have we had involving Royal Woods Elementary? Not complaining, just needed a headcount. Also, with an episode name like "Stall Monitor", I was expecting something different. Hmm......ah well, on with the show!!!
Tonight is Parent Teacher Conference night, the single most worrisome day for any student in elementary school.....and maybe middle, and Mrs. Johnson aims to speak to each student's parents. Yes, that also includes Lincoln's as well and he's beyond worried (thank Clyde for the paper bag assist). With all the potential moments he listened, he feels it's gonna be rough for him once Mrs. J speaks to Lynn Sr. and Rita. As such, the man with the plan intends to put a halt to it, but not without some help from the gang...
Okay show of hands, how many actually dreadend Parent Teacher Conferences? It always feels like it wasn't as terrible as most shows made it out to be (well.....unless you were that one mischievous kid, that is.) But I digress, not too bad an episode this one was. It's always interesting seeing what kind of plan Lincoln cooks up because there's many different things he can think of, which makes for some pretty entertaining shenanigans. I'm also glad we got to see the gang's parents show up as well, and even they gave me some good chuckles too (plus seeing Liam's Mee Maw was every bit as crazy as I had thought she'd be). I'll admit the ending was just as I had figured, but it wasn't bad. Overall a solid episode, gave the gang more to work with, and shows Lincoln in his lovable goofy environment.
Also, always count on the McBrides to deliver when on screen!
I was wondering when Luan was gonna get another episode, lo and behold! Not only that......it's a ship episode too! Great!!! But, even something this good is not without its blemishes....
In the lovely residence that is Casa Loud, awakens a bright and very chipper Luan Loud! It's for good reason too, as it just so happens be her very first date with Benny (yeah, Benny! Ya know, from such classic episodes as L is For Love and Stage Plight)! It's such a joyous occasion for her, but unfortunately it gets cut short as Luan seems to have grown a bulbous boil (no one tell Elmer). Timing........it is impeccable and it hits Luan like a truck! After some helpful (and pretty much ignored) advice from dear big sis Lori, Luan sets out to get her pestering pimple remedied before her big date and the siblings are here to help!
Ohhhh wow this was just a treat! I know it's the typical zit plot, but this was a good way to do this to be honest. Luan, even when she's trying to handle a serious situation, continues to make light of it in her own way and I love it (plus Mr. Coconuts is at his A-game this time around)! Is it ever a doubt in my mind why she remains my third favorite Loud sister? No.......no there is not! We also needed an episode that helps add to the newfound ship that is Luanny (ship development is a damn needed thing), and this one delivers a tad bit! Credit to Benny too, he comes off as a pretty decent character in this! Hard to believe he was just some random teen without a single line of dialogue before. See, this is something I want TLH to do more of, expanding the world and fleshing out the extra stuff (whether in the show or comics, I don't mind it). It would help add more depth to characters that people in the fandom like but are very underappreciated. As for the closing moments, it is sweet, simplistic, but cracks me up in good Luan fashion! It's a very nice episode, but not something to be overly hyped about tho.
Well I guess that's about it for this double feature, and another Saturday done! Until next-
Oh......oh my......it's.....it's a......a.........TRIPLE FEATURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay so, remember after The Great Lakes City Tour I said I "wasn't" going to do impressions on episodes of The Casagrandes? Well........THIS ONE IS A HELL OF AN EXCEPTION!!!!!!! Yes everybody, I'm talking about "The Horror-Scope", and for good reason too! I see great things out of this one, so says the fortune! Let's get underway, shall we?
We begin this episode with.....astrology? Yes, it seems Rosa is about to watch a fortune telling show by "Ernesto Estrella" (voiced by George freaking Lopez, yes! Wait, he voices a character named.....Ernie? Ha!), and young Ronnie Anne is being a bit of a skeptic. However, it seems today's fortune reads that fire signs are gonna find love, and wait a second......Ronnie Anne's a fire sign (conveniently). She may deny, but then "COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED AND NOT WELL TIMED FOR THE PLOT", she gets a call from Lincoln......and he's on his way to hang out with her! Rosa, possibly overhearing somehow, sees this as a sign, but Ronnie Anne is quick to deny it saying the two are "just friends" (Careful when saying such a thing Ronalda, the power of love is always so strong). So the snowy haired boy arrives and the two set off to spend the day, but is the fortune proving true to Ronnie Anne? We'll find out!
Sigh.........ya know, I ship these two so much, and if I have to go through so much slowburn to see this at the endgame.......hit me with EVERYTHING YA GOT IN THE COMING EPISODES!!!! Let's be honest, this was Ronniecoln fuel in every step of the way, and by gosh do I love it! The interactions, the dialogue, even the many scenes it had were filled with shipteasing and it'd be hard to miss any of it (they know full well what to do with these two, I'm sure of it). I will admit I'm a little bummed that Sid didn't play a bigger role in the shipteasing as well, but one can't leave a pet bird flying away forever (unless you're Sergio). Also, love the callback to previous TLH episode with Lincoln, it kept some good continuity which is always welcome! Even the closing moments were just a bundle of feels for me, I was so happy by the end of it! Now I may not be the top Ronniecoln shipper around (I'd be "flying too close to the Sun" if I claimed I was lol), but I'd still recommend this even if you like the dynamic these two have when they're together! A fun episode, good choice of a guest star, and tons of shipteasing that I'd watch over and over!
Well then, I guess that's it for our triple feature! I just couldn't let this slip by me, not by a longshot! This was a crazy good day TLH/TCG fans and I couldn't be anymore satisfied! Until next time everybody when the next new episodes come by!!!!
