#cipher talk#I'm just trying to look at language and art#Previous two posts here are horribly anti black but what the fuck does 'weeping the Coptic tears' mean#Also MENA is NOT a concept from Antiquity lmao its a VERY modern one and it shifts and changes every decade#Also anon is right lmao#Dividing Africa is intensely problematic because it creates a fiction that Black people dont exist or are foreign to North Africa#When there are multiple Black Indigenous groups in commonly accepted North African countries#And that's before getting into countries that are sometimes considered North African like Sudan and Mauritania that are. You know#And their relationships to countries like Nigeria and Senegal- or for that matter#'Canonical' North African countries relationships to 'Sub Saharan' countries#Like IDK Egypt and Ethiopia. It's not a relationship of very obvious and close kind- or even always a cordial one#But there is a relationship
