The Ancient History of Mokshada Ekadashi from Brahmanda Purana: Yudhishthira Maharaj said, "O Vishnu, master of all, O delight of the three worlds, O Lord of the entire Universe, O creator of the world, O oldest personality, O best of all beings, I offer my most respectful obeisances unto You. "O Lord of lords, for the benefit of all living entities, kindly answer some questions that I have. What is the name of the Ekadashi that occurs during the light fortnight of the month of Margashirsha (November-December) and removes all sins? How does one observe it properly, and which Deity is worshipped on that holiest of days? O my Lord please explain this to me in full." Lord Shri Krishna replied, "O dear Yudhishthira, your enquiry is very auspicious in itself and will bring you fame. Just as I previously explained to you about the dearest Utpannaa Maha-Dwadashi - which occurs during the dark part of the month of Margashirsha, which is the day when Ekadashi-devi appeared from My body to kill the demon Mura, and which benefits everything animate and inanimate in the three worlds - so I shall now relate to you regarding this Ekadashi that occurs during the light part of the month of Margashirsha. This Ekadashi is famous as Mokshadaa because it purifies the faithful devotee of all sinful reactions and bestows liberation upon him. The worshipable Deity of this all auspicious day is Lord Damodara. With full attention one should worship Him with incense, a ghee lamp, fragrant flowers, and Tulsi manjaris (buds). O best of saintly kings, please listen as I narrate to you the ancient and auspicious history of this wonderful Ekadashi. Simply by hearing this history one can attain the merit earned by performing a horse sacrifice. By the influence of this merit, one's forefathers, mothers, sons, and other relatives who have gone to hell can turn around and go to the heavenly kingdom. For this reason alone, O king, you should listen with rapt attention to this narration. https://www.instagram.com/p/ClvMyslIlds/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Gita Jayanti 2022
Gita Jayanti, or Gita Mahotsav, is Bhagavad Gita's day, celebrated on the Shukla Ekadashi. This day is celebrated for Bhagavad Gita on the 11th day of Margashirsha (Agrahayan); when the moon is in a crescent shape, it is believed that on this night, Lord Shiva wears a crescent moon on his head, representing the master of time and is himself timeless). It is believed that Bhagavad Gita was disclosed to Arjuna by Lord Krishna on the massive battlefield of Kurukshetra. Sanjaya narrated the Bhagavad Gita to Hastinapur King Dhritarashtra that emerged between Lord Krishna and Arjuna. Sanjaya was blind, and he was blessed by Ved Vyasa and got the power to witness the battlefield remotely so that he could narrate the battlefield to King Dhritarashtra.
In the epic Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita's story takes place from the beginning of the Kurukshetra War. After many attempts at reuniting failed, war was unavoidable after all the sins had taken place. Beyond pure compassion and sincere love for his devotee and friend, Arjuna, Lord Krishna pronounced to become Arjuna's charioteer during the battle.
On the day of the war, the armies faced off on the battlefield. When the battle was about to start, Arjuna questioned Lord Krishna to take the chariot to the middle of the battlefield, between the whole armies, to look more closely at the rival army. Seeing his grandfather Bhishma, who raised him with great affection, and his teacher, Guru Dronacharya, who trained him to become the most excellent archer. After releasing this, Arjuna's heart began to melt; he got confused and started having second thoughts about the battlefield, then he was unable to perform the warrior (Kshatriya) duty.
After hearing about Arjuna's thoughts, Lord Krishna gave advice, messages, and teaching to Arjuna. Bhagavad Gita, the ancient scripture and philosophical work. The Bhagavad Gita is known for its concise summary of the four Vedas of Hinduism. That is why Gita Jayanti is known as Gita Utsav, Mokshada Ekadashi, and Matsya Dwadashi.
This year Bhagavad Gita Utsav is celebrated on 3rd of December 2022.
In the same way, it is believed that everyone should have a Bhagavad Gita in their house temple; one should read and learn life lessons from it. Bhagavad Gita has all the answers to all the questions in everyone’s life. In your house temple, you should read Bhagavad Gita in front of Laddu Gopal Ji. Make sure after the Laddu Gopal Ji routine of making him a Laddu Gopal poshak, or laddu gopal dress new design should be worn, make you wear mukut, underwear, performing puja aarti and feeding him, reading Bhagavad Gita in front of your Laddu Gopal Ji.

Eleventh
Eleventh
Eleventh day of the lunar month - The eleventh day of the decline or increase of the eleventh moon. Krishnapaksha's Ekadashi is called Krishna Ekadashi and Shuklapaksha's Ekadashi is called Shukla Ekadashi. When certain special constellations are connected on the eleventh day, they are called Jaya-Vijaya-Jayanti and Papanashini. However, there are 24 names of the eleven. These are Utpanna, Mokshada, Safala, Putrada, Sattila, Jaya (earthly), Vijaya, Amalki (Ala), Papamochani, Kamada, Baruthini, Mohini, Apara, Nirjala or Bhimaseni, Yogini, Harishayani (Padma), Kama. Putrada, Aja, Padma (Putrada), Indira, Papankusha, Rambha and Prabodhini.
Ekadashi vows-- Ekadashi is a sacred ritual of the Hindus. Usually the widows of the Brahmins are obliged to observe the 24th Ekadashi. In addition, Ekadashi has been recognized as one of the most important public rituals in the whole of India in its clever and self-sacrificing religious practices. The great purpose of our religious tradition is to save sins for the sake of rebirth by destroying the sins we have committed knowingly or unknowingly in our lives - to think that sin can be freed by Ekadashi? Not to mention. This includes the practice of daily vows, casual vows and sexual vows. In the classical sense, the Chandrayan vow is called a regular vow, and it removes the sins of the past. Happiness and good fortune are attained in the Kamya Brat like Oshabrata. But like Ekadashi, virtue is saved in daily vows. Some of the Ekadashi are celebrated by eating together or at other times, while others have the rule of completely abandoning food and water. On the eleventh day, one should be pure in body and mind, and abstain from eleven, such as sports, sleep, alcohol, slander, jealousy, theft, violence, lust, anger, and untruth. Only the Shukla Ekadashi and the Banaprastha monks and widows can do Ekadashi in the son's house. From a scientific point of view, celebrating Ekadashi relaxes the stomach and activates the digestive system. The result is protection from indigestion, constipation, and inflammation.

What Is Vaikunta Ekadasi ? Untold History Behind Mukkoti Ekadasi - ముక్కోటి ఏకాదశి అంటే ఏమిటి? - Maheedhar's Planet Leaf (MPL) Vaikuntha Ekadashi is the Shukla paksha Ekadashi that occurs during the Dhanu month in the Hindu calendar (corresponding to late December - January in English calendar). Vaishnavism (Worship of Vishnu) culture believes that ‘Vaikuntha Dwaram’ or ‘the gate to Lord's Inner Sanctum’ is opened on this day. The Margashirsha shukla paksha ekadashi in lunar calendar is known as a 'Mokshada Ekadashi'. Special prayers, yagnas, discourses and speeches are arranged at Vishnu temples across the world on this auspicious day. According to the Vishnu Purana, fasting on Vaikuntha Ekadashi is equivalent to fasting on the remaining 23 Ekadashis of the (Hindu) year. However, according to Vaishnava tradition fasting is mandatory on all Ekadashi of both Shukla paksha and Krishna paksha. Fasting on Ekadashi is considered holier than any other religious observation. Vishnu opened the gate of Vaikuntham (his abode) for two demons in spite of their being against him. They also asked for the boon that whoever listens to their story and sees the image of Vishnu coming out of the door (called Dwar), called Vaikunth Dwar, will reach Vaikunth as well. Temples all over India make a door kind of structure on this day for devotees to walk through. According to Padma Purana, the female energy of Vishnu slayed the demon Muran and protects the 'Devas'. This happened on the eleventh day of lunar month during the sun's journey in the Dhanurrashi or Dhanu Rashi. Impressed by the act, Vishnu names her as 'Ekadashi' and gives her the boon that those who worship 'Ekadashi' on the day of her victory over Muran would reach 'Vaikunth' (His abode). Vaikuntha Ekadashi is one of the important and auspicious days for Hindus. It is dedicated to Vishnu. It occurs in the Hindu calendar, in the month of Margashirsha (between December and January). When observed, it bestows liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The significance of Vaikuntha Ekadashi is mentioned in the Padma Purana. The legend says that the Devas, unable to bear the tyranny of 'Muran' - a demon, approached Shiva, who directed them to Vishnu. A battle ensued between Vishnu and the demon and Vishnu realized that a new weapon was needed to slay Muran. In order to take rest and create a new weapon, Vishnu retired to a cave for the goddess named Haimavati in Bhadrikashrama. When Muran tried to slay Vishnu, who was sleeping, the female power that emerged from Vishnu burned Muran to ashes with her glance. Vishnu, who was pleased, named the goddess 'Ekadashi' and asked her to claim a boon. Ekadashi, instead, beseeched Vishnu that people who observed a fast on that day should be redeemed of their sins. Vishnu thus declared that people who observed a fast on that day and worshipped Ekadashi, would attain Vaikuntha. Thus came into being the first Ekadashi, which was a Dhanurmasa Shukla Paksha Ekadashi. The demon Muran stands for the Rajasic and Tamasic qualities in people, attributed to lust, passion, inertia, arrogance etc. When one conquers these tendencies, one attains the purity of mind, Satva, indispensable for attaining of moksha, the liberation or realization of the self. For realizing the self as pure awareness, purity of mind is required. Fasting helps to keep at bay tendencies which could be triggered by intake of certain foods. Keeping vigil in the night is symbolic of awareness, or being watchful of the contents of the mind. When the mind is looked at, it becomes still. To abide in the stillness is to attain freedom or peace, acquired through merging of the mind with the self. This is symbolic of the mind automatically being absorbed at the sight of Vishnu after the arduous fast and vigil. The belief that rice is prohibited, because Muran dwells in it, symbolically signifies that the eating of rice makes one feel heavy and hampers the vigil. This signifies that entertaining negative tendencies could hamper one's progress towards awareness or consciousness. Observance of the rituals on this auspicious day even without understanding their importance is beneficial. Hence the merit accrued through observing them with piety is believed to be immeasurable. In the Mahabarata, Bhagavad Gita the conversation between Krishna and Arjuna at the beginning of Kurukshetra War is said to have occurred on this day. Vaikuntha Ekadashi fasting is an important aspect of those associated with it. People fast the whole day and keep vigil. Everything explained in Telugu in our above video.
