How Does WhatsApp Integration Enhance Your Business Communication?
WhatsApp integration enhances business communication by providing a user-friendly platform where customers can easily interact, ask questions, and receive support. Integrating WhatsApp into your communication strategy offers a familiar and convenient channel that improves customer satisfaction, making interactions faster and more efficient.
Tumblr media
Social media integration further streamlines business communication by allowing businesses to manage all customer interactions from various channels in one place. This ensures consistent and timely replies, regardless of how customers choose to reach out. Managing multiple communication sources becomes simpler, enhancing the overall efficiency of your customer service.
Using an all-in-one messenger platform combines several messaging services, including WhatsApp, into a single application. This eliminates the need to switch between different apps, making it easier to manage messages and keep track of conversations. The result is a smooth, organized communication experience that benefits both the business and its customers.
Incorporating WhatsApp integration, social media integration, and an all-in-one messenger into your business communication strategy significantly improves how you interact with customers, leading to enhanced customer satisfaction and streamlined business operations. To know more, Read this blog.

Chatbots Are Primed to Warp Reality
A growing body of research shows how AI can subtly mislead users—and even implant false memories.
More and more people are learning about the world through chatbots and the software’s kin, whether they mean to or not. Google has rolled out generative AI to users of its search engine on at least four continents, placing AI-written responses above the usual list of links; as many as 1 billion people may encounter this feature by the end of the year. Meta’s AI assistant has been integrated into Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram, and is sometimes the default option when a user taps the search bar. And Apple is expected to integrate generative AI into Siri, Mail, Notes, and other apps this fall. Less than two years after ChatGPT’s launch, bots are quickly becoming the default filters for the web.
Yet AI chatbots and assistants, no matter how wonderfully they appear to answer even complex queries, are prone to confidently spouting falsehoods—and the problem is likely more pernicious than many people realize. A sizable body of research, alongside conversations I’ve recently had with several experts, suggests that the solicitous, authoritative tone that AI models take—combined with them being legitimately helpful and correct in many cases—could lead people to place too much trust in the technology. That credulity, in turn, could make chatbots a particularly effective tool for anyone seeking to manipulate the public through the subtle spread of misleading or slanted information. No one person, or even government, can tamper with every link displayed by Google or Bing. Engineering a chatbot to present a tweaked version of reality is a different story.
. . .
As the election approaches, some people will use AI assistants, search engines, and chatbots to learn about current events and candidates’ positions. Indeed, generative-AI products are being marketed as a replacement for typical search engines—and risk distorting the news or a policy proposal in ways big and small. Others might even depend on AI to learn how to vote. Research on AI-generated misinformation about election procedures published this February found that five well-known large language models provided incorrect answers roughly half the time—for instance, by misstating voter-identification requirements, which could lead to someone’s ballot being refused.
. . .
The idea was to see if a witness could be led to say a number of false things about the video, such as that the robbers had tattoos and arrived by car, even though they did not. The resulting paper, which was published earlier this month and has not yet been peer-reviewed, found that the generative AI successfully induced false memories and misled more than a third of participants—a higher rate than both a misleading questionnaire and another, simpler chatbot interface that used only the same fixed survey questions.
More at the link.

Very interesting article, but warning for a gif that I think will bother photosensitive readers at the top.

If you use Facebook, WhatsApp, or Instagram, you might have noticed a new assistant popping up in your search queries or offering information in your feeds. This assistant, Meta AI (still in Beta testing), can appear at the top of your Messenger chat list as it has been integrated across Meta’s platforms.
What’s worse is that Meta AI needs a substantial amount of training data to function effectively. Most of this data comes from your Facebook and Instagram posts. Even if you don’t post content yourself, Meta can still use photos and captions if others publish them. This data usage applies to all publicly shared posts.
Can I Stop Meta from Using My Data for Its AI?
Yes and no, depends on where you live.
You live in the EU + UK:
Today (June 22nd) we still don't know when Meta will launch its AI in Europe, as it has been delayed after complaints by multiple data regulators. But to be safe - if you wish to continue using Instagram or Facebook - you have to opt out of Meta using your data.
How to do that?
Go on this page for Facebook or this page for Instagram and fill out the form. Under 'tell us how this impacts you', write something like: "I wish to exercise my right under data protection law to object to my personal data being processed."
Then you have to confirm your email. And you also get an email if your request has been approved (this happened instantly for me).
Important note: if you opt-out but your friend hasn't, and they publicly share a picture of you, it will be used by AI.
You live anywhere else
You cannot opt out, sadly. The only way to protect yourself is to make all your posts private or delete your account(s).

Need help with our current and future legal fees
I am reaching out to you today to humbly ask for your support in our fight against the dishonest and frankly totally unfit executor of my wife's mother's will.
He has bombarded our family with many insults, lies, and totally untrue accusations. Some are extremely personal, obscene, and completely unfounded. All these messages were sent via WhatsApp and Messenger. On one occasion he said to my wife after she questioned what he was doing 'It's nothing to do with you and anyway you will be dead soon' Copies of all these messages are held by our legal representatives.
We desperately need to remove him as an executor but this is proving to be beyond our means.
Our solicitor needs 1500 pounds to prepare the case and then a further 2000 pounds to submit it to the court. After that, if there is a hearing, costs will spiral.
Sadly, this individual (My wife's brother) has failed badly to carry out his responsibilities with honesty and integrity, causing undue hardship, mental anguish, and many legal challenges for my wife. He has resisted every attempt we have made to negotiate an end to this matter. His replies to requests made by our legal representatives were met with the same vitriolic comments we have been receiving. Once even accusing them of Fraud and threatening them with being reported to HMRC.
We also suspect that at or around the time of my wife's Mother's death he took amounts of money from her bank and savings accounts though we cannot prove this as we have not got access yet to her banking records. We have written to the relevant banks and building societies in order to investigate this further.
He has withheld the information from my wife for almost four years that she was named as a co-executor of the estate. We only got sight of the will he holds in early 2023. This happened after he had taken legal advice which he seems to have now abandoned.
Without her knowledge or permission rented out her mother's property in September 2019 some 8 weeks after her death.
This rental was not registered with the proper authorities and as far as we know no contract was signed. He has since registered himself as the landlord and owner of the property with the rental authorities(2022). He has taken the rent from that property for his own personal income Est 40,000 pounds to date. This money belongs to the estate.
We are asking for donations in light of our mounting legal fees as we have all but exhausted our savings and are unable to continue. We plan to have him removed as an executor so we can finally close off the estate. This can be a very expensive and lengthy process.
To date, he has not applied for probate for the estate but rather used the assets of that estate for his own financial benefit. He had the house valued even before the funeral had taken place and rented out the property only a few weeks after. He did not register the rental of the property with the appropriate authorities. The house was not insured and no contract was in place with the tenant. He did not remove any of my wife's parent's belongings or furniture. These were left for the tenant to package up and store outside the house in a lean-to garage. Anything my wife would have wanted to keep as a memento has now gone. We imagine photographs, letters etc are all destroyed.
He continues to attempt to insult our family via social media and any other means at his disposal, though we have blocked him wherever we can.
He has made no attempt to instigate a probate application himself nor is he showing any signs of cooperating with us. My wife's mother had always insisted that there was enough money in her accounts to pay for the funeral expenses. This proved not to be the case and we made up the difference.
To ensure that justice is served and the wishes of the deceased are respected, we are in need of financial assistance to cover the mounting legal fees. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring us one step closer to holding this person accountable and ensuring a just resolution. We kindly request your generosity in helping us fight for what is rightfully ours and stand against dishonesty. Any contribution will make a significant difference in our pursuit of justice. Thank you in advance for your support and belief in our case.

Interesting tweet by @photomatt. I am thinking that @Tumblr could replace Twitter if they actually embraced Matrix & the Fediverse.
But then there is this:
Tumblr media
Note: I am providing screenshots here just in case Twitter disappears!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, so Automattic is trying to make Tumblr self sustaining by offering premium features that people would be willing to pay for.
Premium features that Tumblr currently offers are:
Vanity blue check marks
Premium custom themes
Tumblr Blaze (basically paying to promote your post to other Tumblrs)
Pay for ad free browsing
Apparently this is not enough, so what other features could Tumblr offer that users would be willing to pay for‽ Here are a few a few suggestions:
Tumblr media
Actual verification (yes, seriously)
As people flee Twitter, they will look at alternatives & Tumblr will receive a massive amount of traffic (which will drive up the cost of the site). This includes celebrities, businesses, politicians, other government officials, etcetera.
Offer a real verification service that is open to everyone—celebrities, businesses & normal people—but would require:
A real world ID (passport, government ID, drivers license, etcetera).
An annual fee (between $100-$300 depending on the person or organization, government official, etcetera) in order to combat spam impersonation
A video phone call from Tumblr / WordPress staff (Facetime, Telegram, WhatsApp, etcetera) to confirm the person/organization is legit
Forget the checkmark (twitter ruined that) & use something else (maybe dancing emoji’s around the profile picture‽ Make it unique to Tumblr).
Tumblr media
Federation with ActivityPub
I honestly would prefer that this would be a free feature, however the sad fact remains that people could easily be overwhelmed with spammers, trolls, scams, etcetera, outside of Tumblr & not know how to deal with it.
I solo host on Darnell.one & I have encountered spammers, trolls & scammers on Matrix & Mastodon (latter uses ActivityPub).
While I have the patience to deal with the unfettered interwebs attempting to harass me, most people will feel overwhelmed with [email protected] sending them unsolicited messages on the daily.
Making it a premium feature would reduce the chance of spammers using Tumblr to harass the world (resulting in Federation blocks), as well as preventing people from being harassed by the world.
Price should be between $5-$10/month
Tumblr media
Into The Matrix
I am already on Matrix (I am @darnell:shh.darnell.ooo for those interested) & I think integration would be key with one caveat: make it a replacement for messages on Tumblr.
So I could then use @darnell:tumblr.com to securely communicate to other people on Tumblr as well as Matrix users for free.
However, those who pay Tumblr could also use their Matrix/Tumblr messenger to communicate with other people on Facebook Messenger, Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp, etcetera, via bridging, which would appeal to power users.
Another bonus is that paying folks could also create their own mini zoom like video calls, without having to use Zoom (which would appeal to people on Tumblr). I would make it so that paying folks can initiate a call, but anyone else on Tumblr can join for free (in order to increase appeal).
Price range would be between $10-$20/month (as this tech is not cheap!).
Tumblr media
LiveStreaming
Instead of relying on YouTube, Tumblr should offer this feature for free—with a catch.
People should be able to live broadcast in standard definition for free, but if they want the broadcast in high definition as well as saved then they will have to pay for storage (otherwise the streamed video is deleted after 24 hours).
Premium users could also have the “broadcasted on Tumblr” watermark/label removed, as well as the ability to automatically upload their video elsewhere (VideoPress, Vimeo, YouTube, etcetera).
Price range should be $10/month
Tumblr Prime‽
Tumblr should also offer a combination package on all of the above except verification (for obvious reasons).
Call it Tumblr Prime or Tumblr Pattycakes for all I care, but for around $20/month they should offer:
ActivityPub federation
Matrix Integration for messages (including bridging, video conference calls, etcetera)
Live-streaming services
Of course Auttomattic should look at the economics of these features to see if they are feasible, but I think they can come up with a workable solution that is deemed valuable.
That is all folks!
Those are my suggestions, & if you made it this far after reading this post, congratulations! If you have any suggestions, refutations, or questions feel free to comment below or message me via Tumblr.

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
Ever since the social media era took off, people have been trying to figure out how to shop on it. While we can arguably say that the mid-1990s classmates.com was the first social site, most analysts prefer to trim the period a few years to include Friendster (2002), Myspace (2003), and Facebook (2004). Those are the three pillars on which everything we know today is built.
It took until 2009, though, before 1-800-Flowers became the first company to use their Page as an online shopping portal. They were followed soon by JC Penney. Alas, neither did very well, because they basically viewed their Page as a secondary website, and all they did was display products like they would on their own site.
Companies and social media sites then went into a major funk for a decade, trying to figure out how to do s-commerce effectively. But by 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, the pieces started to fall into place. Facebook Shops was launched, with companion versions on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. It took a while, but an under-baked idea was suddenly ready for Prime Time.
Now rival TikTok has raised the bar once more. It partnered with Shopify last year as a third-party turnkey solution for individuals and businesses trying to sell on its platform, and has launched TikTok Shop in Indonesia and the UK. And here’s the latest: they are advertising for professionals to build order fulfillment centers from the ground up in the US.
Tumblr media
This can only mean one thing: TikTok wants a piece of Amazon. What a surprising turn of events, because for the last few years, it has been about all the others trying to duplicate TikTok’s success, and social couldn’t have cared less about Amazon. Until now.
It remains to be seen exactly what TikTok plans to sell, but warehouses mean storage and order fulfillment, not offices. This is huge, and already has the wheels turning in my head, because if they could also take on other capabilities—like print-on-demand of photographic artwork, I would be standing in line tomorrow. Or this afternoon.
The idea is to more perfectly integrate e-commerce into the social platform. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around smaller sellers bringing their inventory to a TikTok warehouse in Seattle, though. But anything that could be produced on-demand would work perfectly, from books to wall hangings.
I realize that Amazon already warehouses other peoples’ inventory, and fulfills their orders. There is always the task of getting said inventory to Amazon, though, which can be problematic, unless the seller has its merchandise shipped directly to an Amazon warehouse.

Of course, larger sellers could overcome this issue a lot more easily. It’s the sole proprietors I am thinking about, the folks who truly need turnkey solutions so they do not have to hold massive amounts of inventory, and also be able to oversee their business from anywhere as long as they have internet access.
I am aware of one art print company that provides a total solution, but it is still separated from the social graph. This leaves it to the artist to help steer traffic away from a social page to the art page, and then hope no one falls through the cracks. But to be able to do it all within the social platform? Priceless.
TikTok is apparently limiting this foray to just a Seattle location for now, which, ironically, is where Amazon started. I suspect this will be rolled out nationally in short order.
The academic in me sees lots of good things happening here. By offering e-commerce, it will enhance the stickiness of its site. It will keep us around longer. It also has the potential to be viral, because people can easily share a store with their friends. And when people come together, whether in the physical space or virtual, it can become magnetic. It reinforces itself.
Better yet, TikTok has landed on another revenue stream, because it’s not just going to do all of this for nothing. Whereas Facebook and Instagram stores are free to set up, I am certain that sellers will hit paywalls at every turn. Unless those paywalls aren’t too high, it will still be worth it to have the reach that TikTok provides. You could never do this on your own.
Yes, I’ve got my eyes on you, TikTok. We might just have a relationship in our future. I want to sell my art photos, but I do not have time to do much more than shooting and editing the photos. I do not want to spend my evenings packing boxes and running to UPS the next morning.
This. This could be the future of s-commerce. Wait for it.

The Power of AI Chatbot Development Services in Revolutionizing Customer Engagement
In today’s fast-paced digital world, businesses must meet customer demands swiftly and efficiently. AI chatbot development services are stepping up to this challenge, offering companies a way to automate customer interactions, provide real-time responses, and improve engagement across multiple platforms. Chatbots are not just a trend but a necessity for businesses looking to streamline operations and offer superior customer service.
With advancements in AI and natural language processing (NLP), chatbots are becoming smarter, more intuitive, and capable of handling complex customer queries. This article explores the significance of AI chatbot development services and how they are revolutionizing customer engagement.
What are AI Chatbot Development Services?
AI chatbot development services refer to the design, creation, and deployment of intelligent chatbots powered by artificial intelligence. These chatbots can simulate human-like conversations, understand customer intent, and provide personalized responses. From customer support and lead generation to marketing automation, chatbots offer versatile solutions across different industries.
By integrating AI chatbots into business operations, companies can automate routine tasks, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve efficiency, all while reducing costs.
Key Features of AI Chatbots
1. Natural Language Processing (NLP)
NLP is a crucial feature in AI chatbot development, enabling bots to understand and respond to human language in a way that feels natural. This allows chatbots to interpret the intent behind a user's message and provide accurate, context-driven responses.
2. 24/7 Availability
AI chatbots work round the clock, providing customers with 24/7 access to support and services. This ensures that businesses can meet customer demands at any time, improving responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
3. Omnichannel Support
AI-powered chatbots can be deployed across multiple platforms, including websites, mobile apps, social media, and messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. This omnichannel presence ensures a consistent customer experience, regardless of the communication channel.
4. Personalization
AI chatbots use data from past interactions to deliver personalized responses. They can remember customer preferences, recommend relevant products, and tailor interactions based on previous conversations, making users feel valued.
5. Automation of Repetitive Tasks
Routine tasks, such as answering frequently asked questions, booking appointments, or processing orders, can be automated with chatbots. This frees up human agents to focus on more complex tasks, improving overall business efficiency.
How AI Chatbot Development Services Benefit Businesses
1. Improved Customer Engagement
AI chatbots provide real-time responses, enabling instant communication with customers. Whether it's resolving queries or offering product recommendations, chatbots can engage with users in a way that feels natural and conversational, leading to better customer satisfaction.
2. Cost-Effective Customer Support
Hiring and maintaining a large customer support team can be expensive. AI chatbots offer a cost-effective solution by handling a significant portion of customer interactions. They can manage common queries, resolve issues, and escalate complex cases to human agents only when necessary. This reduces operational costs while maintaining high-quality support.
3. Enhanced Lead Generation and Conversion
AI chatbots can assist in lead generation by engaging website visitors, collecting information, and qualifying leads. By guiding users through product recommendations, answering questions in real-time, and offering tailored suggestions, chatbots can nurture leads and drive conversions, helping businesses grow their sales pipeline.
4. Increased Efficiency and Productivity
AI chatbots automate repetitive tasks, allowing businesses to focus on core operations. This automation not only reduces the workload for human employees but also speeds up processes like answering FAQs, booking services, or providing product details. As a result, businesses experience improved productivity and faster service delivery.
5. Seamless Integration with Existing Systems
Modern AI chatbot development services can seamlessly integrate with existing business systems such as CRM, eCommerce platforms, and marketing tools. This integration ensures that chatbots have access to real-time data and can provide accurate information to customers while keeping internal processes smooth and uninterrupted.
6. Data Collection and Insights
Every interaction with an AI chatbot generates valuable data that can be used to improve customer service strategies. Chatbots can track customer preferences, purchasing behavior, and common concerns, providing businesses with actionable insights to refine their products, services, and overall approach.
The Role of AI in Enhancing Chatbot Capabilities
AI technology, particularly machine learning and NLP, plays a crucial role in making chatbots more intelligent and adaptive. Here’s how AI enhances chatbot capabilities:
1. Contextual Understanding
AI chatbots use machine learning algorithms to understand the context of conversations, allowing them to respond more intelligently. This enables them to handle more complex queries and provide detailed, contextually relevant answers.
2. Continuous Improvement
AI-powered chatbots can learn from past interactions, continually improving their responses over time. As they encounter more customer queries, they become better at understanding user intent and providing accurate solutions, thus enhancing their performance and effectiveness.
3. Predictive Assistance
With AI, chatbots can anticipate customer needs based on past behavior. For example, they can suggest products based on previous purchases or predict follow-up questions during conversations, making interactions smoother and more helpful.
Best Practices for Implementing AI Chatbots
While AI chatbots offer numerous benefits, successful implementation requires careful planning and strategy. Here are some best practices:
1. Identify the Right Use Cases
Before developing an AI chatbot, businesses need to identify specific use cases where the chatbot will add value. Whether it’s for customer support, lead generation, or internal task automation, defining the chatbot's role is crucial for success.
2. Focus on User Experience
To ensure high user adoption, focus on delivering an intuitive and user-friendly experience. The chatbot should be easy to interact with, provide clear guidance, and offer relevant responses to user inquiries.
3. Monitor and Optimize Performance
Once deployed, monitor the chatbot’s performance using analytics. Track metrics like user engagement, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement. Continuous optimization will ensure the chatbot evolves to meet changing customer needs.
4. Seamless Human Handoff
AI chatbots should have a smooth escalation process for complex issues. When a chatbot encounters a query it cannot resolve, it should be able to transfer the conversation to a human agent seamlessly, ensuring customers don’t experience disruptions.
Conclusion: Why AI Chatbot Development Services Are the Future
As customer expectations continue to rise, businesses need to embrace technologies that enable fast, personalized, and efficient interactions. AI chatbot development services offer a powerful solution by providing intelligent, scalable, and automated communication systems that enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Top Messaging Apps in 2024: The Best Solutions for Communication
Tumblr media
In the digital age, messaging apps have become essential tools for staying connected, whether for personal or professional communication. These applications offer features that go beyond simple text messaging, such as file sharing, voice calls, video calls, and group chats. This article highlights some of the best messaging apps available in 2024, focusing on their features, security, and why they stand out in a crowded market.
WhatsApp: The Global Favorite Check their site to know more details melhores aplicativos de mensagens
WhatsApp remains one of the most popular messaging apps worldwide. Its ease of use and versatility make it a top choice for individuals and businesses alike. WhatsApp offers end-to-end encryption, which ensures that messages remain private between the sender and the recipient. In addition to text messaging, users can send photos, videos, voice notes, and even make video and voice calls. The app also supports group chats, making it ideal for both family and team communication.
A newer feature of WhatsApp is multi-device support, which allows users to access their accounts across different devices simultaneously without requiring a phone connection. This enhances flexibility and convenience, especially for professionals who use multiple gadgets.
Telegram: The Feature-Rich Alternative
Telegram is often seen as a more secure and feature-rich alternative to WhatsApp. One of its standout features is the option to create large group chats, accommodating up to 200,000 members, making it a favorite for communities, businesses, and organizations. Telegram also supports channels, where users can broadcast messages to unlimited audiences.
The app’s focus on privacy is another major draw. Telegram offers secret chats that use end-to-end encryption and self-destructing messages. In addition, the app supports cloud storage, allowing users to access their messages and files from any device. This makes Telegram an excellent choice for those who value privacy but also need flexibility in accessing data.
Signal: The Security-Centric Choice
Signal has become the go-to messaging app for users who prioritize security and privacy. Every message sent via Signal is protected with end-to-end encryption, and the app doesn’t store metadata related to user communications. This means that no one, including Signal itself, can access users’ messages or call data.
In addition to its high-level security features, Signal offers a clean and straightforward interface. Users can send text messages, voice notes, images, and videos, as well as make voice and video calls. Signal’s disappearing messages feature is particularly popular among those who want an added layer of privacy, as it allows users to set a timer for messages to automatically delete after a specified period.
Facebook Messenger: The Social Network's Companion
Facebook Messenger remains a popular messaging platform, especially for those already embedded in the Facebook ecosystem. Messenger offers seamless integration with Facebook profiles, allowing users to communicate easily with their Facebook friends. The app supports text, voice, and video communication, as well as features like stickers, GIFs, and games, making it a fun and interactive messaging platform.
Messenger also offers a “Messenger Rooms” feature, which allows users to host group video calls with up to 50 participants, making it a versatile option for both casual chats and virtual meetings.
iMessage: The Apple Ecosystem’s Favorite
For Apple users, iMessage is the default messaging app, offering a seamless experience across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. iMessage supports multimedia sharing, group chats, and end-to-end encryption. One of the standout features of iMessage is its integration with other Apple services, such as Apple Pay, allowing users to send money securely within the app.
iMessage also supports Animojis and Memojis, adding a fun and personalized touch to messages. While it’s limited to Apple devices, the seamless integration across the Apple ecosystem makes iMessage a top choice for those already using Apple products.
Conclusion
The messaging app landscape continues to evolve, offering users a variety of options based on their communication needs. Whether it’s WhatsApp’s global reach, Telegram’s community-building features, Signal’s unrivaled privacy, Facebook Messenger’s social integration, or iMessage’s seamless Apple experience, there’s a messaging app for everyone in 2024. Choosing the right app depends on what you value most, be it privacy, features, or integration with other services.

Facebook
Facebook is the largest social networking site, with over 3.049 billion monthly users, accounting for about 37% of the global population. Its messaging app, Facebook Messenger, has 931 million active users. Over 200 million businesses, primarily small ones, utilize Facebook tools, and more than 7 million advertisers use Facebook Ads Manager. As one of the fastest growing social media platforms, Facebook supports various content formats, including text, images, videos, and Stories. The Facebook algorithm favors content that generates meaningful interactions, especially among family and friends.
Instagram
With 2.04 billion active users, Instagram is a leading visual social networking platform ideal for showcasing products and services through photos, videos, Stories, Reels, and live videos. Brands can benefit from creating an Instagram business profile, which offers detailed analytics and post-scheduling through third-party tools. Instagram also encourages user-generated content, as users often share and tag brands. Like Facebook, Instagram’s algorithm prioritizes engagement, so focusing on interaction can help grow your following.
YouTube
YouTube, with 2.7 billion active users, is a leading video-sharing platform where users watch a billion hours of content daily. It's the second-largest social media app and often regarded as the second-largest search engine, following its parent company Google. For businesses using video marketing, integrating YouTube into your strategy is essential. To optimize your presence, create a YouTube channel for your brand and focus on YouTube SEO and understanding the YouTube algorithm to enhance video discoverability.
WhatsApp
WhatsApp, with around 3 billion active users across over 180 countries, started as a messaging app for personal communication. Since launching WhatsApp Business in 2018, it has become a key platform for brands, with over 200 million monthly active users as of June 2023. The app supports customer service and updates through WhatsApp Business for small businesses and the WhatsApp Business API for enterprises. Its widespread use makes it a valuable channel for customer service.
X
X (formerly known as Twitter) has 6.1 billion monthly active users. The platform is known for its focus on real-time information, allowing users to post updates in 280 characters. It's popular for sharing news, entertainment, sports, and politics. Many brands use X for customer service, with over 80% of social customer service requests occurring on the platform. Salesforce even calls it the “New 1-800 Number for Customer Service.” For newcomers, understanding the X algorithm and strategies for growing your following can be beneficial.
Pinterest
Pinterest, with 581 million monthly active users, is ideal for discovering inspiration and new ideas. User’s “pin” images linked to websites, product pages, and blog posts, making it a powerful tool for driving traffic. Pinterest users are seven times more likely to buy products they've pinned. Popular topics include fashion, beauty, home, garden, and DIY. For businesses and creators in these niches, Pinterest is a valuable platform for content sharing. New users can explore strategies for getting started and growing their following on Pinterest.
LinkedIn
LinkedIn, with around 310 million monthly active users, has transformed from a job search engine into a professional networking platform. It now serves as a hub for industry experts to share content, network, and build their personal brands. Businesses use LinkedIn to establish thought leadership, attract top talent, and engage with potential customers, while creators build their personal brands. For those looking to grow their presence on LinkedIn, understanding the platform's algorithm can be crucial.
Quora
Quora, with 400 million monthly active users, is a Q&A platform where information on various topics is shared and ranked based on views, votes, and reviews. Brands can create a Quora page, leverage employee advocates to answer industry-related questions, and use Quora's ad platform to promote their business. Given that 63% of users research major online purchases on Quora, it's an effective channel for reaching customers who are actively seeking products or services.
Tumblr
Tumblr has 135 million monthly active users and hosts around 594.6 million blogs. Users create 8.6 million posts daily, sharing a wide range of content formats including text, photos, videos, GIFs, audio clips, and links. The platform is known for its microblogging features and extensive range of topics and interests. Additionally, Tumblr allows for blog design customization, making it a popular choice for users who want to use their Tumblr account as a personal or business website.
Reddit
Reddit, with 430 million monthly active users, sees significant traffic, with 5.46 billion visits in the past three months (May and June). The platform features diverse Subreddits (dedicated forums) for almost any interest. Brands can engage by participating in relevant Subreddits, such as r/beauty for a beauty brand, though self-promotion is often restricted. Engaging in discussions, answering questions, and sharing valuable content can help build a presence. Additionally, Reddit is a useful source for content ideas and offers advertising opportunities.
Snapchat
As of August 2024, Snapchat boasts over 850 million monthly active users, reflecting a 10% increase in daily active users due to new features. The platform remains popular for sharing photos and short videos (snaps), and it popularized the vertical video format that other apps like Instagram, have adopted. While Instagram Stories has impacted Snapchat’s growth and reduced its appeal for some marketers, 69% of U.S. teens still use Snapchat. If your target audience is predominantly teenagers, Snapchat is worth considering. For more information, you might explore guides on Snapchat or compare it with Instagram for brand use.
Telegram
Telegram, with 950 million monthly active users, is a free messaging app that supports multiple devices and unlimited media sizes. Its key feature is end-to-end encryption for chats, groups, and media, which has attracted users concerned about privacy, especially after WhatsApp's policy changes. Brands can leverage Telegram by using chatbots, broadcasting messages via channels (with up to 200,000 members), and offering customer support.
Threads by Instagram
Threads, Instagram's alternative to Twitter, has over 200 million monthly active users and about 33 million daily active users. The app saw a rapid initial uptake, reaching 100 million sign-ups within days of its 2023 launch. Although initial interest waned, Threads has introduced new features to maintain user engagement. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is optimistic about its future, suggesting the app has a strong potential to reach 1 billion users in the coming years.
