Pt. 2 of the underwater grotto, upon where Trellis has also become Navin's therapist

Where Alyson and Trellis aren't as close as they were to the others, they talk, bond a little ("only my family and friends call me Aly" "I dont think my name could ever have a shortcut") and they learn more about each other and in the end, they go off separately like this: "Goodbye Alyson" "Aly is fine :)"

Trellis and Emily talk a Lot,,, the former realizing this and apologizing if he ever inconvenience her, only for Emily to say "What are you talking about? You're family" and on the inside Trellis cries

Where someone confronts Trellis on his aloof "facade" or whatever..,,, and he tries to deny the fact that he actually cares more than he shows and the others walks in EXACTLY the moment he begrudgingly admits "Yes, they are all family to me and I love them but you'd sooner see me DEAD than ever saying THAT to their faces" and Emily and co just look at each other awkwardly behind him (Trellis not noticing as he rants more) and then stealthily leave the room, out of respect

Aly and Riva got into a pretty bad and emotional fight upon where Aly tries to defend Cielis despite its racism and Riva hating said city and fed up with all the discrimination that she faces working alongside them, tries to quit. She encounters Trellis otw and they have a discussion. Trellis admits he suffers with the same crap she did and admittedly wants to fuck off into the unknown, but he also remembers that the reason why Elves are prosecuted and executed so much during the war is because the Guardian Council cut off any Elven representatives there. And as much as he is in the worst possible position (a stonekeeper, an elf, and not just any elf but the son of the Elf King), he needs to look out for his people. Trellis then offers to take over her position so she could take care of her own people, Lucien, but Riva, still having second thoughts, tells him she'll think about it. Then she strolls around Lucien, and recognizes that elven and humans pasts have long been intertwined, and will always be in the future, and believed that Lucien can be the foundation for a united Alledia. She finally decides to stay to work for such a future. In the end, Aly acknowledges the wrongs Cielis did, and they both make up.

Vigo, realizing how much of a shit guardian he is to Emily and Trellis, tries to be better

Trellis is undergoing on some emotional issue, and so does Emily, but people pay more attention to Emily, because she's more vocal about it whereas Trellis is as stoic as ever. It got bad to the point people think it's still okay to dump their emotional burdens on him because he's a good listener and is always available to help, until eventually Navin accidentally triggers him despite Trellis tries to assert his boundaries over and over and it causes him to Snap ("her feelings? Has anyone even wondered how I feel?") and eventually leaves, slowly regretting his outburst. Then Navin and Emily catches up to him and apologizes, recognizing that what they're doing is unfair and burdensome for Trellis. Emily tells him that although she's not sure if she can be as mature as him handle such deep rooted problems, she wants to be there for him, Navin being the same. They then just hug it out

Where Aly is subtly recognizing signs of microagression, her privilege as not only as a human, but also as a white person. Where she tries to be in denial at first, of the pain of working things out and realizing, all this time, that she's letting oppressed people be hurt because of her neutrality. Of finally listening to what the oppressed have been screaming fir the entire time and vows to use her privilege to change things

An au where Firelight and Supernova didn't happen

A tidbit of Max and Layra (no plot, just wholesome things that they do, or where Max discovers a family with Layra and her parents, and is devastated on how bleak his own family life is)

The five main kids (Emily, Trellis, Navin, Aly, and Riva) ACTUALLY developed a friendship with one another and thus Shenanigans ensues...

Navin actually swallows something, panicking Emily, Trellis and Aly and they all do their own ways to save him (Trellis is shoving his hand down his mouth, Emily, having the braincell this time, does the Heimlich, Aly is trying to stop Trellis) and Riva walks in in this very Weird scene and they just stare each other, frozen and Riva is like "do you.,,, wnat me to go back later or" and Emily smacks the back of Navin's head, saving him

Trellis teaches Navin how to skin an apple and use a knife, bonding ensues. Karen gets mad because why is Trellis teaching him how to use a knife, Trellis, stupid, says something snide and thus he loses severul rungs under Karen's ladder

Beautiful day outside!!!.... To stay inside. Trellis is reading, Navin is playing a game but struggles during puzzles, and Trellis helps out, who then struggles during fighting oarts. and thus a partnership was Born

Where Emily is missing her home, very old home on earth, and thus on a mission where theyre stranded on the Gondoa (this was on ao3, which I didnt continue because it's a hassle) so Trellis takes this opportunity to accompany her to Earth. Heart to heart ensues a lot

Vigo is getting a tad bit... Racist towards Trellis, the latter getting tired. And rants to Emily. Who didn't realize it and confronts Vigo

During book 6. Trellis helps Navin a lot on studying

Vigo is hard on Emily because of her emotional issues (based on book 7's manuscript) and tells her to be more like Trellis. This caused her to have a lot of resentment towards Trellis. The issues continue until they both get cornered and nearly die and Emily hated that Trellis serves as a reminder that she isn't okay, that she didn't recovering and demanded how had he ever stopped hurting. Trellis hugs her, and reveals that he never did.

Where Trellis and Emily are now pretty close, and the latter rants to the former a lot. Navin takes notice of this and realizes that Emily no longer opens up to her family, but to Trellis. Trellis is distressed by this fact because he feels like he's invading on something, but Navin tells him that he's glad that at least Emily no longer keeps things to herself, that at least of all people she could talk, he's glad that Trellis is there for her. But Trellis, remains unsoothed

Trellis saves Navin. A lot. Until one time they got separated and stuck in an underwater grotto, searching for a way out. Trellis realizes Navin isn't emotionally okay, and gets him to open up. And oh boi. Ohhhh boi. So many emotional issues and Navin is a Stepford Smiler

The main five talk about their past, the happy times before everything became about the war and despite differing worlds, they relate and bond with one another. Except Trellis.
