HOWEVER, them meeting ultimately led to their deaths (actually erm i refuse to believe they're dead and prefer to believe they're in some higher form of existence giving each other cosmic backshots 💜). them meeting helped bring hextech to the world which, as it happens, was the beginning of the end. the formation of the hexcore, viktor turning into robotic jesus, starting the cult, the formation of the anomaly that sent jayce to the ruined dimension (poor guy also lost his mind) so although jayce was able to fulfill his life's dream, it also was the thing that ruined him. if they never met, this all could've been avoided, which is easily seen in the dimension ekko & heimerdinger were sent to. they were best friends, equals in the sense of intellect and generally just two halves of one whole (saw someone on insta relate them to the sin²x + cos ²x = 1 formula and gen crashed the fuck out) hence, the best and worst thing to ever happen to each other.

"why does hearing your name hurt me when it hides right there in the vicinity? what kind of emotion, is it hatred or pure sweetness when i hear your name?" we all know ekko and powder were childhood friends. due to a series of unfortunate events, powder was taken under silco's care — the same person who was the cause of vander's and benzo's death (who were like father figures to ekko). powder became jinx and was working for silco, who was using shimmer to exploit his own people. as ekko grew up, all he did was work to defeat the purpose jinx was working for. imagine how much it must hurt for him to know someone who meant sm to him is doing all this to his people. her name brings bitterness, but also the sweet press of memories of simpler times. then, obviously, ekko was sent to the other dimension. saw that other dimension have everything he ever wanted (except vi ☹️). powder was still HIS powder. his life was playing out just the way he wanted. however it wasn't REAL. he got a glimpse of what could've been. in that dimension ekko and powder grew up to fall in love. imagine coming from your reality where you're enemies, and the being sent to this one where you're lovers. but you can't stay, no matter how happy it makes you. he got a taste of the sweetness that could've been. then he had to go BACK to his reality, where he saw the same girl he could've fallen in love with try to kill herself. and, afterwards, when you've basically saved the world, you're left all alone and are led to believe she's dead (uhm which she's not trust 🙏)

Albion...

The final stage bgm was kickass, I loved the architecture and the "subquests" with goats and the character who turns ennemies green was... A thing lol. Still Nigel isn't a deadweight so that's something nice.

Plot wise...

Ugh.

If anyone got it better than I do then please help me lol, because from what I understood, the pope (hereditary title in this verse) got only one child (tfw your line is super special magical plot related but you only get one kid) and told both of his right arms, Nigel and Sanatio, that they should never speak of her to anyone, including themselves.

So... Nigel secured Scarlett far away (uh...) 6 years ago and didn't tell Sanatio, per the pope's orders, Sanatio knew Scarlett existed but since her existence must remain secret, per the pope's orders, he... Uh... Never knew where she was ?

So when the pope decided to fold against the evil empire, and subsequently later died (something Gharnef is pissed about, because the pope's line is the only one able to destroy mc guffins) Sanatio thought that he had to pretend the pope was still alive to make sure Albion and the Orthodoxy would not descend into chaos ?? Like, Nigel couldn't tell him that "I shipped Scarlett to parevia aka an island that is as far from Albion as the UK is from France, under her dad's orders some years ago, let's find her to both protect and mount a resistance against the empire ?"

I knew Albion was scrapped because bankruptcy and all, but damn if in a game where Gilbert, Virginia, hell Alain and to an extent Yunifi and Morad exist, this felt contrived as fuck.

Besides, I know you are technically able to go to Albion before doing bastorias, Drakengard or Elheim (Bastorias or Elheim must be done though) but damn if doing things in order paints Scarlett in a crap light, after Erigor and witnessing the elves zombies and learning about the occupation in both Cornia and Drakengard with mysterious plagues around, and we open Albion with Scarlett worrying about her dad (while she was there when Galerius told us he was dead !) and wanting to show Alain the place where she picked up flowers when she was younger.

Special mention to her former childhood friend Raelys (?) with whom she reunites and wants to go to their special flower field again... Only to be ambushed by Raelys because while childhood memories are nice and all, Raelys' younger brother was taken hostage and she wants to save him.

Then we have Fodoquia's backstory... And Scarlett looks like an ass, especially for someone who was basically supposed to inherit Albion, who never cared about her country and her people.

Still in the few subsequent chapters she expresses her desire to help the people of Albion and her care for them (with still the memetic "I always thought about you" to get childhood friend when a majority of her rapports so far where about Alain, her feelings for him and jealousy at the other female leads or fluff) so there's that.

Ultimately I believe this discrepency is both due to the game being short on money but also the writers having wrote Scarlett as the "ojou" archetype, when the elf twins, even with their 5 lines about the plot of their land, and to some extent, Virginia and Yunifi/Ramona are concerned about their homes and people and written as such.

Plot happens and it's revealed, the empire is actually full of body surfers who were banned to the shadow realm for having sacrificed an unicorn and their big plan is to transmigrate everyone in living bodies, Scarlett's line is special because her magical powers are the result of experiments on humans with blood/parts/powers (?) of an unicorn, the failed results were duds and gave birth to the feathered people (angels) but Scarlett's ancestor was a success, the Cornian royal line is also special because it was founded by a young woman who was the only one granted immortality and not banished to the shadow realm eons ago, so she got some magic powers but gave up her immortality, and the laguz were originally elves who decided to become laguz so their bodies couldn't be snatched, but they forgot how to turn back.

Anyhow, for all of the unicorn imagery Alain got, I found it cool that the "our line was founded by the Maiden in the Unicorn and Maiden duo" thing is/was referenced in Ilenia/Virginia's skillset, it sort of helped to lessen the "uwu Alain is the saviour and chosen one" thingie that hits especially hard after Drakengard and Gilbert's last convo where he confesses he and Drakengard in general have always been jealous of cornia, so learning only Cornia's king can be the "chosen one" to get rid of the evil ghost empire...

Also, since you can skip Drakengard to reach that point and ignore her existence, I guess the "Alain saviour bcs he descends from the Maiden and has the magic ring" feels even weirder when Virginia is also in the party, but she can't equip the magic ring (granted if Alain were to die, would Virginia be able to equip it plot wise ?)

Fwiw, even if Gerard's infinity +1 sword can be used by Alain, I gave his magic ring to Virginia, his other grandkid by beating his ass with the Tricorns, plot be damned.

I mean, I usually dgaf about chosen ones plots, but when the second arc was all about a potential claimant/heir accepting to stand down and let their sib/cousin run the show, the game saying "only sib/cousin can save the world" feels a bit like a slap lol

Alain gave the "totally not-engagement ring" to Joseph, his dad in all but blood, and I rounded up several rapport conversations (wtf was Fodoquia and Bryce's lol) and mini quests.

Units wise... Ramona works well with the angels who have their discharge skill lol, and Bertrand spinning with his hammer will never cease to be hilarious.

I'm sure I'm not using Berengeria well though, because now she keeps on dying (ffs you have a giant shield can you just use it for once ??)... But Bruno makes up by hitting like a truck.

° Since you defeated Ranrock 2 years ago, your life at Hogwarts had become calmer.

But, even if you were not in danger anymore, you still felt a lack of adventure and thrilling duels. To fill this need, you sometimes went to fight trolls or poachers with Sebastian.

Yet, it is possible that you have been too accustomed to simple duels without difficulties... this may have some consequences. °

With Sebastian, you had decided to go to a poachers' hideout. Apparently they had captured unicorns. You fought until no enemy was left standing.

Sebastian: Good job Y/N! Your spell sequences are truly incredible. Y/N: Thank you so much! I spent the last few weeks training in the Undercroft. And you're not too bad yourself Sallow. Sebastian: Coming from you, it means a lot. Y/N: Don't be silly, you became really str-

You see from afar an enemy move suddenly and raise his wand in Sebastian's direction. You barely had time to react and you put yourself between the spell and him. You raised your wand to try to counter the spell but the spell was not what you expected.

Poacher/Ennemy: AVADA KEDAVRA! Sebastian: Y/N NO!!!

You had to use your ancient magic to try and counter the spell. You used Repulso on Sebastian to move him out of the way. And the duel began.

The pure strenght of the death spell was making your body shiver. You knew your magic was stronger. But as you were duelling, you felt another dangerous presence behind you. Not even Sebastian saw him because he was using the Disillusionment Charm.

Poacher/Ennemy 2: Crucio! Sebastian: Confringo!

But it was too late. The Cruciatus Curse hits you and you fall on your knees, still holding your wand and trying to counter the Avada Kedevra spell. The pain was unimaginable, unbearable.

You were about to lose the duel. You felt weaker and weaker. Your eyes filled with tears, the sounds began to become more distant and muffled. You closed your eyes in a last attempt to give your last stenght. Behind your already closed eyelids, you felt a powerful light then, you heard Sebastian calling your name, a scream and then nothing. The last thing you heard was Sebastian talking to you.

Sebastian: Please don't die, I love you Y/N. Please I need you more than anything. Talk to me Y/N. Open your eyes please!

It was only silence until you opened your eyes again.

Y/N: Where... where am I?

It looked like your were back at Hogwarts. You were laying in a bed in the Hospital Wing. You couldn't remember how you got here and what happened during the fight.

The nurse turned abruplty to you with wide open eyes the moment she heard you.

Nurse: Oh Merlin, you're finally awake. Let me auscultate you very quickly my dear. Don't move. Y/N: Where is Sebastian?

Your voice seemed very weak. But you were worried sick for Sebastian. What if he got hurt? What if they did the same to him?

You waited until the nurse was finished and then she left. You were about to try and get out of your bed that suddently you heard someone coming towards you.

It was Sebastian and Ominis.

Sebastian: Y/N! You're finally awake! I..I'm... Ominis: Keep your calm Sebastian. She obviously still is very weak. Sebastian: Y/N I am so sorry... I should have... I...

Sebastian was holding flowers. Now that you awake, you notice a buch of flowers already there around your bed. He then puts them next to you. When you looked back at Sebastian moments later, he was standing in front of you with a face twisted with worry and his eyes quickly filled with tears.

You get up to sit in your bed.

Y/N: Sebastian... I am so sorry. Please don't cry, I am fine. I am always fine. We have been through much worse. Sebastian: YOU'RE NOT FINE! IT'S NOT FINE! Ominis: Stop it Sebastian! Sebastian: But it's true Ominis! She is always the one saving us! Saving everyone! I could never save her and I tried! You were not there Ominis! You didn't see what I saw! Ominis: Sebastian... Sebastian looked at you, tears were rolling over his freckles. He took a step closer to you and kneeled in front of your bed. He then took your hand to bring it close to his face.

Sebastian: I am not worth it. I am not worth your sacrifice Y/N... I cannot live without you. Y/N: Sebastian, do not say that. You are the most precious thing in my life. You and Ominis truly changed my life. Sebastian: I thought you were dead Y/N... I really thought... Ominis: But what happened after Y/N collapsed? Sebastian: She used her ancient magic. It was such a powerful blast that I was blinded. Then, she fainted. But at that moment, it looked like the Death spell hit her. Your body was so cold and lifeless. So I... Y/N: It's okay Sebastian. As Ominis left, you started to understand what happened. Sebastian was looking at you, his eyes were staring into yours.

You felt your stomach drop. He used it again... The last time he used the killing curse was 2 years ago. You tired your best to keep a neutral face.

Sebatian: I had no other choice, he was about to use it against me. And no spell can counter Avada Kedavra other than ancient magic and... this same spell. Y/N: I know Sebastian... you did your best. And you saved me. You saved us. Sebastian: I had no ill intent. I did it for you... I am not a monster Y/N... I changed... Y/N: Sebastian, nobody thinks you're a monster. You're a hero! You're my hero! You saved me when I couldn't save you or even myself. Sebastian: Don't tell Ominis... Y/N: I won't. After all, I owe you. He looked so serious and yet so beautiful. He became so handsome, even if you always found him attractive you just couldn't help but notice how much he changed. Your heart was so full of love for him, so much that you would do anything to make him happy. But yet, you couldn't promise such a thing.

Sebastian: Well... You definitely, definitely charmed me. *he grins* Y/N: I thought my feelings for you were always kind of...obvious. *you giggle* I have been in love with you since my 5th year at Hogwarts. I did not know how to tell you because you always seemed troubled by Anne's condition. I did not want my feelings for you to be another burden. Sebastian: W-what? I always felt the same about you! I guess I just never really had the courage to tell you. WonderBat vs BatCat: BatCat romance is “Timeless”or “80 years old”. Is that really the Truth ? which one is older ?

Lately I had to read again some comments about BacCat being the better ship because of how “Old” a romance it was. But when did BatCat really start to take a real romantic turn compared to the first WonderBat references ? If we check out the old comics from “Batman #1″  back in 1940, is BatCat really the winner ? or is there another truth ? 

I definitively cannot ignore the chemistry DC tries to put into BatCat till the 80′s even if I’d prefer WonderBat. But to make that romance acceptable they had to change Catwoman into a Hero first, or at least an Anti-Hero. Strong changes similar to that time where Catwoman had been Brainwashed to become a Hero by Zatanna and the JL.

(The following is from DC Comics “JLA (1997)” - Issue 119)

Batman had his suspicions so there was never a lot of room for Love but with Selina on the “Good” side it was at least a possibility. This follows all the WonderBat stuff of the JLA’s “obsidian age” and “#90″ of course, so Batman’s heart is rather set on Diana then Selina. As a matter of fact it turns out Bats was right about Zatanna’s mind manipulation.

Selina’s evolution from “Evil” to “Good”, isn’t a first and has been rebooted several times. The fact that it wasn’t her choice isn’t a first either. But how do we end up with the “belief” that BatCat is an “Old” story ? maybe even “80 years old” ?... Superman and Lois ? Yes no doubt... but Batman and Catwoman ? ... Not really

The “New 52″ with the disastrous SuperWonder pairing surely contributed to the illusion of a longer BatCat history. It just send 70 real years of “Lois and Clark” into the trash-bin just as it did to the slowly (but steadily growing) “Wonder woman/Batman” background romance. This helped to erase in the younger generation’s minds what had been slowly build up other several decades.

After the “New 52″ it wasn’t really possible to return to pre-flashpoint status ... DC had first to try to repair the damage done to the trinity and to the duo of the World’s Finest...  You don’t do

After the “New 52″, I guess DC surely considered that the best way to heal the Trinity’s awkwardness from the SuperWonder “Injustice smell” was to first avoid any relationship within the Trinity and later (as it didn’t work) to erase SuperWonder from continuity, so ... back to : Lois and Clark, Wonder Woman and Trevor, ... Batman and ? ... yeah who? ... Bats had a lot of love interests over the last 80 years ..

Selina was surely one of the numerous candidates and as long as they didn’t restart her “Evil” in DC Rebirth she could even become a good and “spicy” choice. So they didn’t ... this time she was “Good” from the start : In jail but actually taking responsibility for crimes she didn’t commit and facing lethal injection only to protect a friend. A real Hero, Selflessness and Compassion raised to Diana’s level. Better fighting abilities than Talia and the stubbornness needed to stand the ground in front of Batman. DC boosted Diana’s power level to match Superman’s (to fit the needs of “SuperWonder”) and changed her from a magically animated clay figure (”less than human” just like Deilan and thus dreaming to become human) into the daughter of Zeus (who doesn’t really have any reason to lower herself to human status). I think DC doesn’t really know how, or lacks the courage of, to power Diana down again into something more suitable for a human World (Batman’s World) without enraging a legion of hardcore Feminists who need her to be equal with “the most powerful male Hero”... Catwoman, on the other hand, has been given most of Diana’s qualities and switched from “Evil” to “Good”...

Tom King surely did a great job at helping to model Selina for that romance and showed a great skill at fooling the younger readers about BatCat’s real history by “hand picking” just the right pictures out of old comics ... an impressive Work.

For example in DC Rebirth’s Batman (2016) #44 you get the false impression Batman is taking care of Selina’s hurting ankle ...

While in the real comic, back in 1940, he was just removing the bandage to check out for a precious stolen necklace ... nothing romantic there.

But the next references were not more accurate either as you will see it ...

Every sentence is just copied ... but the real comic tried to picture Selina Kyle/Catwoman as having two very different personalities ... some kind of schizophrenic heavy mental illness revealed through a memory loss.

With this Issue we have already gone from 1940 to January 1951 and to consider any romance in these early comics you’d have to ignore all the sweet pet names used to describe Catwoman : the Arch-enemy, the Princess of Plunder, the Queen of Crime, Batman’s Feline Foe and so on ... Nonetheless this is the first “Evil” to “Good” switch I know of ... Batman’s romantic interest from that time was more Vicky Vale, than Selina.

In this other “Pick Up” from “Detective Comics #203″ (January 1954), Selina reverts from “Good” to “Evil” just after he warned her of the consequences of resuming her past criminal life

... and she didn’t need any “hit to the head” this time ... was she faking her “Goodness” ? or is she just ready for Arkam’s Asylum ? ...

The next one in Batman (2016)  #44 ? ... same deception again ...

As we can see, in the original comic, Batman answers Selina’s question even under the Torture with a “No” to both “Bride” and “Burglar” ... Selina was really a self delusional crazy chick back then, more like a female version of the Joker rather than a real romantic interest and it didn’t get any better in the following years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Selina’s dominant stance in Batman #44 was a parallel to Diana’s Epic stance in Hiketeia ... of course you never really “dominate” Batman, just like he is never your “captive”, unless he wants you to believe you won.

Wonder Woman was always the perfect complement to Batman. “Wonder Woman was made to Protect the Innocent, and Batman to Punish the Guilty”. Without either of them there is No Justice. That’s why they work so well together ... So you just copy from Diana to Selina the things you can and worked for WonderBat.

Anyway no consistent BatCat until “Batman (1940) Issue 308″ during February 1979 ... a new evolution from “Evil” to “Good” starts with that Issue and a kiss in November 1979 ... but this time things are different, very different, Selina really wants too turn her back on her crime life ... the road is still long and bumpy but it is a start for a real romance. It is interesting to note that the current Rebirth “Wedding” arc with the Dark Knight enabled the starting of a new “Catwoman (2018)” series,just like the 80′s romance enabled Catwoman her own start. For a time the 80′s “Catwoman” series shared the “Batman(1940)” comic series with Bats. Later she got her own solo comic..

Now if you consider Batman and Wonder Woman’s first kiss of love:

Considering Wonder Woman is a rather serious Girl and that she already “Heroed” for several years side by side with Batman. If you consider that the owner of the Lasso of truth won’t lie if she says that she really did fall in love with Batman. Plus, two years later (1970) “Diana Prince” encountered billionaire “Bruce Wayne” and agreed to a Date with him ignoring he was Batman. Later again in 1978, Diana and Bruce know each others double identities and agree on a “Late night diner” ... We may consider that this kiss was the starting point of a complicated (secret identities and all) slowly growing romantic relationship between the two.

So a WonderBat romance started at least over a decade before any real BatCat romance.

I bet you didn't expect that ! ... You don’t have to believe me. Just check out the old comics for real ... and make your own opinion once you’ve read them.

Keep in mind that this doesn't really deny anything to the current Batman/Catwoman romance because DC Rebirth’s Selina Kyle is very different from the crazy Psycho of the old comics. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t use its Age as an Argument. You can surely find a lot of other reasons to love them. And of course, Bruce and Diana had both earlier Love interests, but this wasn’t the point of this Post.

This Post only goes thru the Batman (1940) series meaning i didn’t check out every comic series. But I had once a heated exchange about the “80 years old” theory with a Hardcore BatCat shipper whom I told to check out for himself the old comics. I know he checked out all 400 first “Batman” and “Detective Comics” Issues but he never got back to me to prove me wrong ... so I guess that he didn’t find anything useful either.

Issue#198 (Jan-Feb 1968) : Catwoman (still a crazy psycho in love who thinks that hurting him and Robin is the best way to charm Batman ) and Batwoman (Kathy Kane)

1968 : Batman and Wonder Woman first kiss (that I know of) - During that Issue of “the Brave and the Bold”, both Wonder Woman and Batgirl fall in love with Batman. Diana kisses him but it won’t be really revealed, or denied, if Batman had feelings other than Friendship for either one of the Women. But Batman was always kind of good at hiding his feelings for Diana. Based on later evolutions of their relationship, we can only imagine this must have been the beginning of a longtime slow-burner between the two.

- Please don’t mention Wally again :( So basically Paula is afraid Artemis got killed in a mission (like she was for fake and like Wally?) and try to scare her with a wheelchair? “What will it take to covince you?” Yes, she’s totally scared and don’t know what to say anymore as a wheelchair (or any big wound) and Wally’s death don’t seem enough. “You don’t have to fight crime to help people.” This point is good, look at Ed :)

- “You and Will” Uh... no Paula, you got too far and that’s not your busines here... “Your sister isn’t coming back and Lian needs a mother.” Have to disagree... You should be worried for your daughter because it doesn’t seem by free will and Lian already has two female figures. So don’t force your second daughter in a relationship just for pratical things... Thank you no thank you.

- Ed and Bart are the two pathfinders/advance men (not sure of the accurate term) of the Team! :D 

- I’m impressed Scarab uses metric and Jaime still understands it. They use metric in Mexico, right? That could explain why he’s at ease with both systems (unlike me xD).

- The Team is so clever! Virgil makes connexion that Vertigo doesn’t have those powers; Traci makes the link that what they see is at cause and Gar finds a solution :)

- “What are you made of?” “Sugar and spices and everything nice.” He’s a fan of cartoons for this second reference right? And that reminds me of the scene between Bart and the Terror Twins at Mount Justice. Bart, sweetie, stop punching people stronger than you :(

- I thought the guy was powerless (I mean litterarly), how could he resist a bear’s strenght?

Next morning Kol and Natali headed towards the compound to find Klaus and to put him where he belongs. Natali was already very angry that he was flirting with Sonia, but now after he kidnapped her and tried to use her to find the gold daggers she was furious.

She was the first one who walked into the courtyard of the compound, Kol following at her heels.

 - “Come out and face me, you bastard.” Natali shouted out loud so that everybody at the compound can hear her and especially Klaus, “Did you really think your plan will work?”

 - But instead of Klaus the first person who appeared was Elijah, “Can you explain what happened?”

 - “Guess who was completely unworthy of our trust!” Natali trailed off, glancing at Klaus who came out of the living room and stood behind Elijah.

 - Elijah stood in between the three of them, but he was turned towards Natali and Kol, “I would suggest leaving this for later because we have other things to deal with right now.”

 - Natali grits her teeth in irritation and rolled her eyes before she looked at Elijah and said, “I would suggest you shut up and move.”

 - “Elijah always getting into someone else's business.” Kol remarked annoyed by his brother.

 - “This is not the right time. We still have Finn to deal with and to find out more about Freya and Dahlia.” Elijah told them.

 - “We don’t need him to help us.” Natali replied.

 - “We’ll need every help we can get if we want to defeat Dahlia.” Elijah says, “No one knows how powerful she really is and how we’re going to defeat her.”

 - “Guess I’ll figure something out.” Natali tells him, anger clouding her voice.

Suddenly Kol started gasping for breath, they all looked at him and Natali was about to ask him what’s wrong, but he fell to the floor, losing consciousness.

 - “Guess you’re outnumbered now.” Klaus remarks with a smirk.

 - “You’ll pay.” Natali threatened him.

 - “What did I do no-?” Klaus began asking before he also started gasping for breath and collapsing to the ground. Quickly after him same happened to Elijah and the only two persons left at the compound were Rebekah and Natali.

Natali didn't know what was happening all off sudden and she shouted Rebekah's name.

Rebekah was fine and she came into the compound, seeing her brothers on the ground she asked, “What the bloody hell happened?”

 -  “I have no idea. They just collapsed.” Natali told her, “One after another.”

 - “Maybe Finn has something to do with it.” Rebekah says.

 - “Maybe we should find him.” Natali suggested.

 - “We definitely should.” Rebekah told her.

Natali set up a magical circle with runes made out of salt on the floor in the courtyard. She lights a match and begins to use it to light the candles in her circle. Kneeling down, she holds out her hands and begins to chant the incantation, “We du le mon ennemi on ton. We du le mon ennemi on ton.”

As she chants, she begins to get visions of Finn, who was just finishing casting his own spell somewhere in Lafayette Cemetery. He's leaning over a bowl of what looks like blood and he has several objects, including a fox tail, a feather, and a deer antler.

  - “I saw glimpses of him.” Natali says when she came out of her vision.

 - “What did you saw?” Rebekah asked.

 - “He's combining sacred objects. Totems. Representational magic.” Natali told her.

 - “Where?” Rebekah asked.

Natali dives back into her visions and gets more flashes of Finn working on his spell in one of the tombs.

 - “Lafayette No. 1. The Lyonne tomb.” Natali says and dives in again seeing that desiccated Mikael was lying in the middle of another salt circle.

 - “He's channeling Mikael.” Natali informed her.

 - “What?” Rebekah asked shocked.

Natali and Rebekah went to the cemetery to find Finn. As they were about to enter the tomb in which he was, Freya appeared in front of them.

 - “Freya what are you doing here?” Rebekah asked.

 - “Hello, sister.” Freya greeted her, “I’m with our brother Finn.”

 - “Yeah, but why?” Rebekah questioned.

 - “Don’t you know what he has done to your brothers?” Natali asked.

 - “I know. I helped him.” Freya replied.

Rebekah and Natali looked at each other, realizing that maybe Klaus was right. Maybe they shouldn’t trust her that easily.

 - “Why would you help him?” Rebekah says, “He has done nothing else than trying to kill everyone.”

 - “He promised me that I’ll get to talk with our father.” Freya told her.

 - “With Mikael?” Rebekah burst out, “He’s not a man you knew thousand years ago.”

 - “I know. Finn told me he’s a monster, but he won’t me a monster to me.” Freya tells them.

 - “Freya, please move, so we can stop Finn.” Natali told her trying to be nice.

 - “No.” Freya protested.

 - Natali rolled her eyes, “You’ll get your time with your daddy, we just need to kill Finn.”

 - “There’s one problem.” Rebekah says and Freya and Natali look at her, “Elijah told me that the witches want the body in which Finn is unharmed.”

 - “We don’t need to kill him.” Freya says.

 - “You have any ideas?” Natali asked her.

 - “I’ll cast a spell and place his soul into my talisman.” Freya explained, “First we need to weaken him, so while he’s still in Chamber de Chase you can siphon the spell that bounds him to Mikael.”

Then the three of them went into the tomb, while Finn was lying on the floor unconscious Natali kneels next to Mikael’s body and siphons the spell. When Finn was weakened he immediately woke up with a gasp knowing that something is wrong. The first person he saw was Freya standing next to him, but before he could say anything she started chanting while holding her talisman towards him. As she chants, her pendant starts to glow bright blue and Finn suddenly starts to scream in agony, “Yovara vimuna virael.”

Once the spell is done, Vincent/Finn sits up in shock and stares up at the three of them in horror.

 - “Who are you?” Vincent asks in a scared voice.

 - Freya holds out two fingers and makes a sweeping motion over Vincent's face, “Sleep.”

After they solved the problem called Finn, Natali and Rebekah went back to the compound where they’ve found Kol, Klaus and Elijah woken up. Freya stayed in the tomb since Mikael has also woken up and she wanted to have some time alone with him.

 - “What the hell happened?” Klaus asked.

 - “We got rid of Finn. He’s not a problem anymore.” Natali tells him.

 - “How did you two do it?” Elijah asked, “You didn’t harm his body?”

 - “Freya helped us.” Rebekah told him, “Don’t worry. The real owner of that body is back.”

 - “Great. Should we get back to our business then?” Kol remarked.

 - “Well, you can’t. Freya wants us all to be here for the dinner later.” Rebekah told him.

 - “Klaus doesn’t even trust her. He doesn’t need to attend the dinner.” Kol tells her.

 - “Freya wants him to attend dinner.” Natali says, but she also wasn’t happy with that.

Everyone’s was in the dining room waiting for Freya to arrive. Klaus like always was sitting at the head of the table, Natali and Kol on one side and Rebekah and Elijah on the other, leaving the other head of the table for Freya.

 - “I couldn’t help but notice, where are those filthy animals?” Natali asked and looked towards Klaus.

Since the wedding werewolves were supposed to live at the compound, but they weren't there the whole day.

 - Klaus stands up and takes a bottle of whiskey to pour into his glass, “I sent Hayley and her poorly groomed husband off to spend the day with their werewolf brethren to test the limits of their new abilities.” he told her.

 - “Oh, and they’ve must obey your orders.” Natali says and smiles.

 - “What is she talking about?” Elijah questioned, not knowing that Klaus compelled Hayley into marrying Jackson.

 - But just as Natali was about to speak more, Klaus noticed that Freya entered dining room and exclaimed, “Sister! Well, come in! Come in! Make yourself comfortable.”

Freya looks slightly nervous, but smiles warmly at them and walks towards them.

They were making small talk in the dining room of the compound while they're waiting for the food to be served. Freya has a small round artifact in her hands and is examining it carefully.

 - “This witch-hoop, it's Danish. Is this from when you all lived in Copenhagen in the 1500s?” Freya asks them, while inspecting the object.

 - “Quite the eye!” Klaus stated.

 - Elijah was impatient, “Forgive me, are we here to discuss family heirlooms, or do we have more pressing concerns?”

 - “Please excuse my brother's lack of decorum. He's been in a foul mood of late. But, he is right. You asked us to gather here and I hoped that you would share some of Dahlia's secrets. So, without further ado, let's get to it!” Klaus tells her.

Then they took their seats at the table, which is full of food and start their discussion. Freya clears her throat awkwardly before she begins to speak.

 - “The first thing you should know is that Dahlia is the most powerful witch I've ever seen. She craves more power still. Right now she is like me - limited to one year of life in a century. But, she wants to be free of that restriction.” Freya tells them, “Over the course of a thousand years I’ve gained more power and she’ll be coming for me. She wants to gain true immortality and she needs to do a new ritual to draw all of my power and life from me. And she will kill anyone who would defy her.”

 - “And yet you would defy her?” Elijah asks.

 - “I don't have a choice. I can’t run from her anymore, she will never let me be free.” Freya says, “My one chance is to align with you and kill her.”

 - But Klaus doesn't seem convinced, “Well, now that we're all suitably motivated, let's talk specifics!”

 - Freya takes a deep breath, “For you to understand, I need to start from the beginning.” she says and continues, “After taking me from my family, Dahlia used me to forge a new brand of connective magic, one that augmented my power even as it allowed her to draw from me. Once we were bonded, Dahlia became unstoppable. She wasted no time proving her might. The chief of a nearby village threatened to run us off, accusing Dahlia of witchcraft. She decided to make an example out of the entire encampment-- men, women, children. She killed them all with a wave of her hand. That was my first inkling of the power Dahlia had. Over the course of a thousand years, she's only grown stronger.”

  - Klaus feigns kindness, “Your stories are fascinating and Dahlia does indeed sound dreadful, but Elijah and I have killed our fair share of evil witches.”

  - “Not like her.” Freya told him.

  - “What are her weaknesses?” Natali asked.

  - “She's paranoid. Obsessed with power.” Freya explained, “She hungers constantly for what's been denied her, be it love or revenge.”

  - “Yes, I believe I'm familiar with the type.” Elijah says and glances between Klaus and Natali and gives them a knowing look, but they just smirk.

  - “When I was a child, she would tell me tales of her own youth, being victimized by those stronger than her. Dahlia vowed never to be weak again. She bargained for the firstborn of Esther's bloodline, intending to raise us in her own image, forming a coven of her own from which she could draw endless power. That plan was foiled the day she learned that Esther had ended her bloodline by turning her children into vampires.” Freya says and looks at Klaus, who looks as though he has something to say, but she keeps talking, “And so the burden fell to me. Dahlia demanded that I bear the firstborn that would add to her power, but I would not allow a child of mine to live as I did - as a slave.” Her eyes fill with tears, “So, I vowed never to love. Never to have a child of my own.” She starts to cry and Elijah looks troubled, “Of course, the more I resisted, the harder Dahlia fought to control me. 'Til the day that she took the last of what little freedom I had left. And so we slept, our magic accruing over time. Until we woke, filled with immense power and allowed to live a single year of life. That has been the existence I've suffered for the last ten centuries.”

  - Klaus begins to laugh fakely, and Freya shoots him a glare, “Well, that's quite the ordeal, isn't it? But, it does beg the question - why not end it yourself?” he asked her, Elijah shakes his head in disgust at Klaus' words and tries to stop him from talking, but he continues on, “A high enough bridge, a tight enough noose? You must have considered it.”

  - Freya closes her eyes and sighs in frustration before she continues, “Long ago, I did consider it. But, Dahlia would never give me even that freedom. I would later learn that the spell made me like her - immortal and impervious to harm.” She laughs bitterly and wipes the tears from her face, “So, you see, I am like you: a creature of great power, cursed for all time until she decides to end my life.”

When they’ve finished with the dinner they all went to the living room, where they’ve continued talking.

 - “You know how we can stop Dahlia, right?” Natali asked.

 - “Given the proper materials, yes.” Freya replies, “I've sent Father to procure them.”

 - “You freed Mikael and put our lives in his hands?” Klaus asks and he seemed angry.

 - “You mean your life.” Kol remarks looking at Klaus.

 - Freya looks at him too, “I knew it would be difficult to earn your trust, Niklaus. Your reputation precedes you.” Klaus smiles mockingly at her as she stands and walks toward him, “But, if we are to face Dahlia together, you will have to trust me.” Klaus rolls his eyes and turns back toward the bar, so Freya addresses Elijah, Rebekah, Kol and Natali instead, “I know I appear as an outsider, but I have dreamt of you all for a thousand years.”

Rebekah and Elijah look at each other before turning back to Freya.

 - “Elijah, when you were in Esther's womb, she would ask me to sing to you.” Freya began talking, “I would feel her belly as I did.” She laughs, “How you would kick. She would say it was as if Thor himself had raised his hammer-”

  - Elijah finishes her sentence, “And summoned thunder and lightning.”

They smile at each other and Elijah is visibly touched that she would remember this memory.

  - “Mother rarely mentioned you, but when she did, she would say how enchanted you were with the prospect of my birth.” Elijah tells her.

  - “How I wanted more brothers and a sister.” Freya looks over at Rebekah, who smiles at her affectionately, “More than anything.”

Klaus continues to stew in the corner, upset to be left out.

  - “But between Esther and Dahlia, that wish was taken from me. I was ruined by those who raised me. If nothing else, at least we have that in common.” Freya says.

She looks over at Klaus, who continues scowling silently across the room, before turning back to Elijah.

  - “There is nothing that can replace what was taken from us. But, I hope we can make something better in its place. All you have to do is trust me.” Freya told them.

Before anyone can say anything more, Klaus vamp-speeds over to her and breaks her neck. Rebekah tries to intervene, but she wasn't fast enough.

  - “NIK!” Rebekah says furiously.

  - Klaus smirks, “Well, that's enough of that, don't you think?”

He drops her body carelessly onto the ground and Rebekah and Elijah both swarm around him, livid at what he has just done.

Rebekah kneels down to check on Freya. She is furious as she looks over at Klaus, who is pacing along one side of the room while Elijah paces along the other. While Kol and Natali were sitting on the sofa annoyed that they need to be there.

  - “Was that absolutely necessary?” Rebekah asked him.

  - “Oh, please, she was insufferable.” Klaus tells her.

  - Elijah points at Klaus with anger and exasperation and says, “That was ridiculous, even for you!”

  - “Even for him?” Kol exclaimed, “He does that to me all the time.”

 - Klaus rolls his eyes, “You've only just met her! Let's not get sentimental. Besides, if she was telling the truth about being immortal, she'll awaken shortly. If she was lying, good riddance.”

 - “Yes. Of course, if she wakes, she'll be willing to help us with unbridled enthusiasm.” Elijah says sarcastically.

 - Klaus scoffs, “She played you for fools! Can you not see that? She spins a sad yarn about a small child taken by an evil witch and you fall over yourselves to mend what's broken!”

 - Rebekah was getting annoyed by her brother, “How can you be so certain?” she asks him.

 - “Simple, it's exactly what I'd do.” Klaus tells her.

Elijah rolls his eyes in annoyance and kneels down to check on Freya, while Rebekah glares furiously at Klaus.

 - Kol stands up saying, “Well this was fun, but I think we’re going to go now.”

“Extremely detailed character sheet template”

This is a WIP headcanon template, I didn’t want to keep it buried in my draft, so I decided to post, and simply continue to fill it whenever I can. So basically, as long as you see this note, I haven’t finished filling it. I will reblog it when I finish filling it, too!

Character Chart Character’s full name: Unknown. Reason or meaning of name: Full name means “Lady of Ice” but also “Ice Bringer” and it’s good to note “Aryn” is also a translated version of her real name. “Lady of Ice” was gained later on (as she became Lady) so at birth she was simply “Aryn” (”Aryn Ice Bringer”). Character’s nickname: Aryn; Lady of Ice. Reason for nickname: Translation of her full name. Birth date: Unknown, can’t remember the exact date. Physical appearance Age: 500, though has been existing for more than 5000. How old does he/she appear: Eearly 20s. Weight: ??? (not underweight, not overweight, and not close to any of those extreme, so average). Height: 170 cm/5″7′. Body build: Slender, fit, athletic. Shape of face: Oval (same shape as the first two pictures in profile). Eye color: Light Blue, can also be called Icy Blue. Glasses or contacts: None. Skin tone: Fair, almost pale. Distinguishing marks: None. Predominant features: Her eyes (genuine, caring, but can betray her many years), some also says beauty (but this is subjective). Hair color: Pale Blue (Illusioned to be pale blond sometimes). Type of hair: Long, Wavy. Hairstyle: Strands framing her face, some hairs falling down her chest while the rest fall down her back, rarely tie them. Voice: Soft, smooth, can seem to echo sometimes (full out echoes like crystal you tap in dragon form). Overall attractiveness: Attractive, exact level depending on the person. Physical disabilities: None, but being in place too hot will lower her abilities. Usual fashion of dress: Pants, button up shirts, boots, gloves. Favorite outfit: Light Blue riding pants, Light blue button up shirt, light blue gloves coming to her elbows, Light Blue boots coming to her knees with small heels. Often with a light blue or white neckerchief around her neck, wrapped loosely. Jewelry or accessories: Doesn’t have any left, though she does have one pair of earrings offered by a friend. She often wears them. Personality Good personality traits: Gentle, Kind, Compassionate, Protective, Helpfull, Self-sacrificing, Friendly, Always prefer peaceful ways when she can, Loves humor, Forgiving, Loyal. Bad personality traits: Reckless, Ferocious, Protective (can go very far), Unforgiving on some occasions, Unpredictable, Will do whatever she needs to when she has to. Sometimes has a quick temper. Mood character is most often in: Cheerful and curious about the world and people. Sense of humor: Sass, jokes, puns when she thinks of them. Loves all kind of humor. Character’s greatest joy in life: Meeting new people and discovering new places. Character’s greatest fear: Losing Merlin ( @wordlesswarlock ) or worse, being hated by him. Why? She cares for him more than anyone else, if she lost him, she would break. What single event would most throw this character’s life into complete turmoil? Merlin’s death (if it was just hate, she would either try to make amend, or keep protecting from afar, so in either case she would still have a life purpose). Character is most at ease when: Being with her friends (be it Pokemon, humans), especially her closest ones and/or those that know lots of her secrets. Most ill at ease when: Facing Chaos. Enraged when: Someone she cares about is hurt in any way. Depressed or sad when: She lets memories eat at her. Priorities: Protect her friends, follow the goal of her specie the best as she can. Life philosophy: In two parts, “There is so much to see, a neverending wideness, and yet all is unique” and “I will not be your ennemy unless you give me a reason to be”. If granted one wish, it would be: Her whole kin reviving. Including her mother. Why? She misses them a lot, and she can’t help wishing her specie was once more known. Character’s soft spot: Children, Innocent people, Pokemon. Is this soft spot obvious to others? Most likely, she visibly softens. Greatest strength: Her will and heart. Greatest vulnerability or weakness: Her heart. Biggest regret: Not having been able to protect Aska from dying. Minor regret: Killing in rage when she was younger (meaning between 20 and 50 years old). Biggest accomplishment: Fighting off Chaos herself during one of the big wars between Chaos and the Guardians. Minor accomplishment: Lots of things in her eyes, like protecting her friends, taking care of her Pokemon. Past failures he/she would be embarrassed to have people know about: The times she couldn’t protect, and the time she killed out of rage. Why? She doesn’t like to admit she wasn’t always able to protect people, and she still feels ashamed of letting her emotions get the better of her/ Character’s darkest secret: The few times she killed in cold blood. Does anyone else know? No, only Aska had known (and some of her specie), and nobody knows of the most recent (and only killing in cold blood she did after her kin’s death). A Cenred that went to war with a Camelot she had grown to like, the one world that allowed her to see Aska again, and she sought out Cenred after the war ended with his loss to kill him for the loss Camelot went through (including a few important people she had started to get to know and who were important to the Merlin and Artur of this world). Goals Drives and motivations: Her drive and motivation comes from all the places she knows to have not explored yet, and so all the friends she has yet to make. The knowledge she has friends already also motivate her. Immediate goals: Take care of her Pokemon, meet new people. Long term goals: Make sure Merlin lives as long as he can, protect Camelot as long as it feels right, hopefully make sure her friends have long and happy lives. How the character plans to accomplish these goals: Stay in contact with everyone, be there for them in any way, and won’t be afraid to use all the skills she has to make sure they’re all safe. How other characters will be affected: If she achieve her goals? Her friends would have a long life, happy if she’s able to make sure they have what makes them happy. But those that are ennemies, or well if we stay in the mindset of the goals, those that try to keep their friends from being happy (or worse, try to injure or kill them)... Well, either they’ll be too scared to try again, or they’re too injured. Or dead. Past Hometown: Er, Gaia? I haven’t thought of actual names of towns, Guardians live mostly in their own houses here and there, so there aren’t official towns. In short, Gaia is their only town... and their whole planet. Type of childhood: Started off happy, but it took a few years for Aryn to get over her mother’s death, so those years were... sad, as even though she had Aska and her father and some friends, she would always feel sad. It most likely forced her to grow fast, and she probably developped her desire to battle against Chaos as long as she could then. However, by the time she reached 20, she had recovered her joyful nature. Pets: No pets as a child. First memory: Waking up cuddled with Aska as babies. Most important childhood memory: Sadly, her mother’s death. Why: It marked her whole childhood, and forged parts of her personality. Childhood hero: Her dad and his counterpart! She would love to watch them fight or train others; and she hoped to become like him; charismatic, loved and powerful. Dream job: Well, being a Guardian, of course. Education: Gaia’s education, plus whatever she could learn in other worlds. It was mostly turned toward the balance of the worlds as well as magic, but to mix well with other worlds they did learn a few universal things, too. Gaia being a medieval-like world, they learned a lot about politics, tactics, fighting, riding, etiquettes, etc. Religion: Technically, none. And technically, a few worlds considered her specie as divinities that protected the balance. But ever since a child, Aryn has always believed all religions to have some truth in them. Finances:  Without any trouble on this side. I mean, Guardians kind of have the special ability to create the money used where they are through their magic. If Magic wants them to protect worlds, it would also give them some help, right? Present Current location: Spirit, mountains that actually form their own world and connects to other worlds (caves and mountains in any world can lead to Spirit, without people realizing). Currently living with: Her Pokemon. Pets: Not pets, but her Pokemon. Religion: None. Aryn does know enough to know all religions have roots, especially as she did meet gods in the past. Not all worlds might have gods, but for Aryn, all religions have truth in them. Occupation: Traveller, Guardian of Merlin. Finances: As said before, she can create the money needed, so no problem here. She does try to “participate” though, in the sense that she won’t hesitate to use the money she create (do note that it is real, not fake, and so the people she buy from are able to use it). She will even work sometimes, use the money on the same world. Family Mother: Light Guardian, name unknown. Relationship with her: Aryn loved her, and still does. She misses her a lot, and often wonders how it would have been, growing up with a mother too. Father: Thunder Guardian, name unknown. Relationship with him: Adored him, he raised her on his own and did a great job at it. His last actions were to save her, and she can’t forget that either. She was able to talk to him about anything, too. Siblings: None, though Aska could be considered family. Relationship with them: If we take Aska, they were the closest. Nobody was as close as him, and nobody can be. Their souls were two halves of the same, as all Guardians were. The only person she could talk to when it wasn’t her father was Aska. They never hide anything between them, and knew they could count on the other. HIs loss has been and always will be a constant hole in her heart and soul, even if she’s learned to live with it. She’s living for Aska, after all. Spouse: None in main verse, @myheart-ofgold in one of the ships. Relationship with him/her: With Gold, she feels young all over again and safe. She’s been able to tell him a bit about her, and she feels so joyful that he accepts her. She loves him dearly, and would to a lot to keep him safe. They seem to get along well too, both having similar natures, though Aryn has less... recklnessness. Most of the time. Children: None in main verse, none with Gold... yet *winks* Relationship with them: Nothing to say here. Other important family members: Merlin, I would say ( @wordlesswarlock ). She sees him as a brother, very close to what Aska had been to her. She isn’t replacing, as nobody could replace Aska; and even if he was alive, Merlin would still be the closest to her alongside Aska. Merlin is also her true Protégé (the one she bonded her soul with, but it extended to others Merlin because of the multiple worlds state and waking up without worry, causing her magic to latch on the first Merlin it could), and for them, their Proété-Guardian linked evolved into family love. Favorites Color: Light shades of blue. Least favorite color: Not really one, in all honesty. Music: With a good beat. Food: Meat and berries. Literature: Fantasy (she loves to check if one actually speaks of another world, without people knowing). Form of entertainment: Flying, running, swimming, dancing, training her Pokemon.
