!found polymers! - rubber tires in the Pavel's shed - I don't think this can be anything BUT rubber? and also all the other tires are wooden. blaming Leta for now - rubber heels on Sifuu?? - I don't think the crenelated boot she has can be made of anything not rubber either. both the tires and her shoes have visible treads.
Hoses/tubes - water towers have hoses that could be a few things. - probably treated leather though? also nevermind they're just copper all the way down. they're pipes and i was wrong - several of the wires are just rope. I do not know how they work - the spring fever string lights look very like they are plastic-coated wires? but also they are tied off so they are not actually wires at all i guess.
Paints/colors - we know they've got pigments from shells/coral and they probably also have gems/metals/bugs. Their gems are more saturated and purer than ours, so probably they get used more than normal earth would. - bases include: oil (oil paintings), glass/sand (ceramics and tinted glass), water/alcohol (wood staining and paper), and resin/turpentine (wood coating/stuff we'd use acrylic for)
Lighting/Energy - YO WHO KNOWS - still absolutely mystified by this all I assume I simply cannot understand the ways of flow but lemme document what I found - lightbulbs exist. I can't see a filament in them - fluorescent style bulbs exist in jel's shop??? maybe indicates gaseous use of flow??? - some of the lanterns simply have nothing in them and glow anyway - Moonstruck lamp is implied to be a salt lamp imitating the style of Umbraa crystal lamps, implied to be related to flowstones. also it's made of palium and flow planks so god (a dragon who is the moon) knows - cooking seems to be done on charcoal and wood.
Textiles - after stalking all the townsfolk around to stare at their clothing, it looks like they mostly wear cotton, predictably - Zeki seems to have a leather coat and a silk? vest I think - some cute twill on Kenli - Hodari's heels seem to be wood + leather - Sifuu and Reth have hairbands with no visible seams, but I think maybe they're covering up hairpins of some sort? - Jel has a lovely little manual singer machine with a foot-pedal and I'm now obsessed with it - bobbins with glass beaded ends - cute ribbing on some items that need to stretch w/o elastics - Hassian has cute lil ties on his leggies to keep his pants legs tight
Jewelry/knick-knacks - lot of carved wood, blown glass, ceramics and metal - we can probably assume bone/shells too - gems aplenty - lotta leather cords, cotton/silk strings, and ambiguous rope but I don't know enough about rope to guess the material - drawings of Sabine include TWO (2) donuts-hung-in-hair, like Sifuu, who has only 1. Not sure the material but now I'm curious about the significance
