Yeah, you have a good point..whack-a-mole unironically stresses me out as an actual game, a multiversal-scale helping challenge mode version sounds like it'd fucking suck, it's just an instinct to try and lessen their suffering if I can. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that in terms of perspective but temporal-anomaly-wise that's a very good point. Some things can't be fixed retroactively without causing more problems, and the more I do that the more I'll want to try doing things like stopping years-ago assassinations, fucking shit up via long-term application of the butterfly effect. The perfect ending..might not exist, no, but I want at least a happy ending out of every attempt. I'll try not to be a perfectionist about it though, thanks for the advice.
