“Katsuki?” Shoto has returned to their shared home. It’s quiet. Too quiet. Shoto swallows. He’s late, out of breath, it smells like blood but, not human blood or blood of animals.. 

...it stinks of vampire blood. 

Rotten and filthy. 

Wrong. 

His stomach feels like turning. He does not feel pain. He will be okay. He knows that much. He is sure. All he can think of is Katsuki. Did he hear the howls? Did he notice? Did he feel it? 

He can only hope his boy is asleep but then again, he just wants to see him. He doesn’t know. He can’t focus. He can’t think. The young vampire coughs. 

“Katsuki?” he calls again into the dark hallway, internally, silently begging to whatever deity he is supposed to be praying for that the nightborn canine is safe and sound.

They arrived at the estate with the sunset, bathing the mansion in a glow of gold and pink, the last rays of the sun probably the most powerful. The building seemingly old and worn down, nothing more than ruins to the naked eye but, appearances are deceiving. The looks from the outside nothing more than a distraction for wandering souls. To keep away the curious and the adventurous. 

Once they crossed the magical barrier the residence of the Todoroki Family blooms in full glory, no moss, no cobwebs and no rubble. The pristine facade showing no signs of it’s age. The mahogany of the entrance door opens all on it’s own as it seems and they are greeted by a couple servants. 

“Welcome home, young master.” a voice hums when the vampire enters but the same voice together with a couple pairs of eyes stop dead in their tracks when they see the young wolf following suit, disgust evident on their face at the sight but they don’t hesitate to let him in and close the door behind the two.

"Is something the matter Katsuki?"

The nightwalker looks up from the book he had been reading, one eyebrow rising on his forehead before he pushes himself back in his seat, giving the werewolf boy a gentle smile. That was cheesy but he knew sometimes things like that needed to be said and sometimes they just bubbled up before you knew what was going on. He knew those moments very well.

"And you won't have to."

There is kissing out there, why doesn't he get some!. Werewolf teen is now pouting, he wants all the kisses. He wants justice!.

Noticing the burning eyes on him, the young vampire turns, glancing at the furry-ears-teen with a amused smile on his lip. This pout is just too cute. How is he supposed to survive this?

"If you want something you gotta use your words, Katsuki. C'mere~" he hums in the others direction, opening his arms.

"Dad?", Katsuki would tug at the shirt's edge, just to get his attention. Then the child briefly look down, considering what words to use. Soon enough, carmines hues look up at the vampire. Aye, those vibrant, child-like reds were focused on the taller being. "Thank you, Shto" , before adding further, "i love you, daddy" , the werechild exclaimed, genuine about it, yet a tad flustered. He really felt thankful to have a second chance at life. (SUFFER!)

Todoroki, especially in his position as guardian to the small was a patient being, he looked down at the werechild, noticing how words were something to struggle with and gave it the time necessary to chose the right ones. Something he really appreciated about Katsuki. He didn't just blurt out the first thing that came to mind anymore. He carefully thought about what he wanted to say and-

Shoto stopped dead in his tracks for several seconds heart doing a little flip inside his chest, squeezing painfully and tightly. He crouched down immediately, a soft smile gracing his lips before he wrapped his arms around the small canine, pulling him into a snug hug against the vampires chest.

"I love you too, Katsuki."

Oop,werechild is now clinging on his dad cape, very koala-like. (uwu, does this motivate?)

“Katsuki I told you I’ll only be away for a couple hours, why is that suddenly a problem?” he sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose before bending down and detaching the werechild from his garments before picking him up properly, holding him at arms length now for a proper examination. 

“What’s wrong?”

"Mmnh" , he didn't to move, his expression far from gone at the moment. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunate, Katsuki, when those arms opened, felt like a magnet pulled him forth. Ah fine!. He just hurry over, wanting all the affection he could possibly get this morning.

Shoto can't help a slight huff that is more a suppressed laugh than anything else and happily wraps his arms around the bratty teen wolf, bringing him in closer, nuzzling the entities cheek before placing a couple kisses down there, moving over to the other side next. A little teasing before the real treat~
