No, you’re NOT a real cartoon fan. I’m so sick of all these people who think they're cartoon fans. No, you’re not. Most of you are not even close to being cartoon fans. I see these people saying “I rewatched this cartoon over 100 times, it’s great!” that’s nothing, most of us can easily watch all our cartoons 300+ times. I see people only know "The Simpsons" and claim to be cartoon fans. Come talk to me when you‘ve watched a single episode of Sonic X and we can be friends. Also DEAR ALL TUMBLR USERS: My adventures with superman is not a real cartoon. Owl house is not a real cartoon. Wander over yonder is not a real cartoon. Amphibia is not a real cartoon. Gravity falls is not a real cartoon. Milo murphy's law is NOT.A.REAL.CARTOON. put down the baby shows and watch something that requires challenge and thought for once. Sincerely, all of the ACTUAL cartoon fans.

Curious, what fandoms other than sonic and mario are you in and/or enjoy 🤔
This is gonna be a mix of both cartoon and video games since I don't know which one you're implying. Also, some of these I've kind of fallen out of but still enjoy from time to time. With that said, here's everything that I can list off the top of my head:
We Bare Bears
A Hat in Time
Portal/Portal 2
FNaF
SpyxFamily
Transformers (especially Transformers Prime. Watched it in middle school with my brother and I watched G1 with both my brother and dad)
Minecraft
Infinity Train
Samurai Jack (and any Genndy cartoon)
Justice League/ Justice League Unlimited
Spectacular Spiderman
Bob's Burgers
Bendy and the Ink Machine
Rottmnt
Wander over Yonder (and any Craig McCracken cartoon)
Green Lantern the Animated Series
Batman Beyond
Detriot: Become Human (CoryxKenshin made the game %1000 better for me)
Ducktales 2017
Bluey
Hey Arnold
Over the Garden Wall
Invader Zim
My Life as a Teenage Robot
Phineas and Ferb/ Milo Murphy's Law
Veggietales

Maybe I’m alone, maybe I’m not, but this is something I’ve come to accept for myself: With TGAMM’s future looking bleak, I count myself lucky for not getting too attached to it despite loving it dearly. It’s just happened to me too much more than I can count with shows that I’ve loved yet got sadly canned. Wander Over Yonder, Milo Murphy’s Law, Rise of the TMNT, Inside Job, Harvey Beaks, Welcome to the Wayne, Final Space, and so on. It’s a lesson I’ve decided to learn: Unless a show has an iron clad, written in stone good future, I won’t develop a 100% emotional attachment to it. It makes it a lot easier to accept the loss of said show if its future isn’t good. I know this might sound sad, but I personally can’t handle the sadness of something I love get the ax anymore. It’s happened too much for me already. I hope all of this is understandable.
It’s understandable. For me, TGAMM was one of first shows since I was a kid that I was ever attached too while it was airing presently since I end up getting into shows much later (like after the they ended or years later). And it makes sense to want to enjoy something but not get to attached due to heartache of a show ending, but you have to remember that you are allowed to enjoy things, even if they end abruptly or not. Like yeah it’s sad, but it was worth it in the end of watching these series that brought you happiness, even if it was for a short while. And the fun thing is that you can always rewatch these shows and find new things each time that you didn’t notice before and relive those moments of getting excited at certain scenes and stuff.

For a Disney owned show that is a bit more older (guess that means Big City Greens is off the table for now then), here's my ideas: Recess, Kim Possible, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, The Proud Family, Milo Murphy's Law (more or less same universe as Phineas & Ferb), Penn Zero, Randy Cunningham, Goof Troop, Gargoyles, and Wander Over Yonder.
There's a lot of good options that I'd like to go through at some point, but for my next follow-along series for the moment I think I'll go with Kim Possible, since that's been on my mind for a while.
I remember watching the show as a kid, but I don't remember much of what actually happened in the show, so I think it'll be a really fun experience to go through it again!
Since it's been working so far, be watching two episodes of Kim Possible every Thursday, same as I did with Ducktales. And since I know Disneyplus can be weird about episode orders with older shows, I'll be watching the show in the chronological order listed here:
Episode order | Kim Possible Wiki | Fandom
That means the first two episodes for this Thursday will be Tick-Tick-Tick and Bueno Nacho. Looking forward to starting it!

Phineas and Ferb returning?
Okay, so I got word that Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh’s first cartoon for Disney is being brought back for two seasons exclusively on Disney+. I’m neither mad nor glad about it. Just… neutral. I know their other show, Milo Murphy’s Law, remains incomplete, not unlike Wander Over Yonder, so in response, I put this together…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve been spreading awareness of WOY’s need for a proper conclusion not only because one more season was planned, but because Wander has not yet fully befriended Lord Hater. In the case of MML, I only was able to watch about 13 half hours and stopped because I thought anything created by Povenmire and Marsh was considered a success to Disney. If it’s still incomplete, I’m guessing Milo is not yet free of being a hoodoo. I still remember Melissa Chase being determined to put an end to his family’s curse.
Anyway, to sum things up, always remember what’s important.
Reviving an incomplete show: super important.
Reviving an already completed show that was popular during its time: not so important.

Disney TVA Finale Ranking
For every Disney TVA series that features continuous plot/character development.
13. Milo Murphy's Law - Sphere and Loathing in Outer Space: Milo Murphy’s Law is a depressing failed experiment of a series. For its first season, it was a spiritual successor to its creators previous show, the episodic hit Phineas & Ferb, but with more of an overarching narrative that was incredibly silly but also had some legitimate heart to it. But that arc’s finale ended up being the second season’s premiere, where the main cast of Phineas & Ferb crossed over and totally stole the spotlight from the characters we’d actually been following. From that point on, the “Phineas & Ferb effect” never went away, leading to a jumbled mess of a second season arc involving aliens and relationship drama and Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz annoyingly inserted in at every turn that concluded in this underwhelming finale that was so clearly not intended to be the series finale when it was made. There’s no real closure nor satisfaction to anything, leaving viewers nothing but the show’s wasted potential to dwell on.
12. The Lion Guard - Return to the Pride Lands: After the final battle, we had two more episodes left in this series and they just feel so bland and perfunctory. There’s no real conflict left, no character arcs still in need of concluding, it really just boils down to connecting fully to The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride and explaining why we never saw nor heard of Kion during the events of that movie. I forgot this finale almost as soon as I saw it; that’s how weak it is.
11. Star vs. The Forces of Evil - Cleaved: Perhaps the most notorious of the finales on this list, “Cleaved” and the three episodes leading into it really feel like watching a train that had so much momentum behind it derail, crash, explode and burn. Everything from the pointlessly disjointed story, underwhelming endgame threat, out-of-nowhere character turns, waste of important characters, failure to connect enough to the show’s past, brushing aside the horrific implications of destroying magic, and the resolution that puts the show’s freshly hooked-up main ship above everything else come together to create a woefully unsatisfying conclusion. But hey, at least it is a firm conclusion, and one I’ll always remember for just how bad it is.
10. Big Hero 6 the Series - The Mascot Upshot: While this show got screwed over by executives big-time and this short, silly story being the finale is emblematic of that fact, it does accomplish exactly what it needed to: wrapping up all lingering story threads (the Noodle Burger Gang, the unexpected bond Hiro developed with Momakase, and eliminating the last trace of Obake’s evil from San Fransokyo) and leaving things on a feel-good note.
9. Wander Over Yonder - The End of the Galaxy: This is the most standard kind of “good” finale that a series could ask for when prematurely cut short. It’s got the highest stakes to date, the biggest personal conflicts for the protagonists to deal with, the main villain at their diabolical best, and an ending where the status quo is retained while also leaving a clear path forward for new developments which fans can imagine for themselves. It’s a shame that the series couldn’t continue beyond this point as was planned, but what we got was still solid.
8. The Ghost and Molly McGee - The End: No galaxy here, just the end of its story in a calm, mundane way where the stakes are purely emotional rather than physical. Despite that, it stands out as elevating the whole series to a higher level than it was at before due to the big reveal of Scratch’s true nature and the ultimate moral the story imparts on the viewer.
7. Sofia the First - Forever Royal: The plot of this finale is very weak. The whole Mystic Isles / Protector Sofia / Wicked Nine story arc felt half-baked to start with, and not enough had been done with Prisma / Vor to feel like her / their status as the Final Boss was earned. However, the characters make up for this. Given that Sofia the First has mostly been episodic throughout its run, you don’t quite realize how much Sofia and her family have grown until you reach the end. The things they accomplish along with the new things revealed about them elevate this finale beyond its flimsy story, with special mention going to my boy Cedric. Once you reach the end credits, you definitely feel like this show wrapped up very nicely.
6. Elena of Avalor - Coronation Day: While this finale has something of a rocky start, partially owing to the (presumably network-induced) wasted potential in how this final season’s arc progressed, once Elena and Ash Delgado have gotten trapped in the Spirit World and Esteban aligned himself with the Four Shades, things pick up and the quality stays high to the very end. The character development is on point, especially for protagonist Elena and antagonist Esteban, and the Four Shades end up selling the apocalyptic threat they pose, especially Cahu the Time Shade who gets away with some of the most horrific shit ever put on a show that airs on Disney Junior. And the ending where Elena is officially crowned Queen of Avalor is just perfect, capped off by a delightful surprise guest star appearance.
5. DuckTales - The Last Adventure: While it’s disappointing that Huey’s arc peters out halfway through in favor of Webby, some long-hanging elements are paid off in a shockingly underwhelming way, and this already long finale honestly needed even more time to fully flesh things out (ex: the resolution to the battle against the Phantom Blot, which as stands is totally off-screen), it’s counter-balanced by so much strong material and a shining heart, with the finale doing a fantastic job at tying the series together as a single, grand, three-act story.
4. Tangled the Series - Plus Est En Vous: There is very little to complain about with this finale. We get the full-on Sun and Moon-powered battle between Rapunzel and Cassandra that the series was building to, perfect cappers for the redemption arcs of Varian and King Edmund, the Big Bad Zhan Tiri having the last of her backstory filled in and then becoming an active threat in her demonic form, Eugene and the other side characters banding together to buy time for Corona’s survival, and Rapunzel getting to save the day alongside Cassandra to the point where she’s the one who cuts her own hair this time. The biggest quibble would have to be Cassandra’s turnaround and departure feeling rushed, but otherwise this was an above average conclusion to an above average TV show based on/continuing a movie.
3. The Owl House - Watching and Dreaming: Starting in “Thanks to Them” and continuing in “For the Future” before concluding in “Watching and Dreaming”, The Owl House’s finale really pulls out all the stops and makes the most of Disney having cut the series short. Every character gets their time to shine and wrap up their arcs in a satisfying way, every core theme of the show is driven home beautifully, and the action and animation is at its peak. Yes, there are problems due to the aforementioned executive meddling from Disney, particularly in how some questions are raised but either never fully answered or answered in too rushed a way to be impactful, but on the whole Dana Terrace and her crew pulled off an excellent ending.
2. Amphibia - The Hardest Thing: Starting in “The Beginning of the End” and continuing in “All In” before concluding in “The Hardest Thing”, this was a finale that I doubt anyone expected to be as amazing as it was. Amphibia started out as just a cute, fun little show about a teenage girl trapped in a world full of talking frogs, and concludes in the most epic, intriguing, philosophical and heartfelt way a story can possibly conclude in. I could bring up nitpicks like the Final Boss battle being ridiculously quick and perfunctory, or how Sasha’s conclusion is marred by her backstory episode getting left on the cutting room floor, but these things feel insignificant when compared to just how good and fulfilling the finale is overall.
1. Gravity Falls - Weirdmageddon: This three-part conclusion (or four-part, depending on which way you’re viewing it) is often cited as one of the best finales to any television show, animated or otherwise, and it’s not hard to see why. Everything just feels like it’s coming together here, everything the show has ever been and was always building to. It’s exciting, it’s funny, it’s scary, it’s thought-provoking, and by God is it emotional. The final end credits are some of the best, most downright perfect I have ever seen, making you really feel the worthiness of the experience that was this show. It’s certainly not being topped anytime soon.

Thoughts on newer Disney shows like DuckTales 2017, Amphibia, Big City Greens, Gravity Falls, Owl House, Phineas & Ferb, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Ghost & Molly McGee, Milo Murphy's Law, Hamster & Gretel, Wander Over Yonder, and Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur?
Out of all of these, I've only watched Phineas & Ferb. Really funny, but I'd always see the same 10 or so episodes when I still had TV, so my knowledge of the overall story is limited. For example, I only learned last year that these boys are not related.

Nah I totally see your perspective. I actually got extremely attached to some of the shows you listed just for them to get cancelled.
But in my opinion, I like to stay hopeful. At least the showrunners won't put some cliffhanger in the 2nd season that REQUIRES a 3rd one to keep it running. Take the first season for example. It ended pretty smoothly and didn't introduce anything particularly last minute to need a another season of continuation. So I'm hoping the 2nd season ends the same so that if (god forbid) it doesn't get renewed, no important plot points remain unsolved.
But regardless, my advice is to KEEP WATCHING!!!! Keep interacting with the fandom even after the show ends, and defo keep watching the show on Disney +, cable, disneynow, etc.
Support it as legally as you can, even if you watch the small clips that occasionally get released on youtube!

In regard to how Disney Channel treated their cartoons this year, it's nothing new. They do this a lot. They burned off Star vs season 4 in just two months despite making a big deal on the show moving to the network in 2018 when announced, burned off Milo Murphy's Law season 2 in four months long after it aired in other countries with no third season in sight despite best efforts to get it trending, and forcing Big Hero 6 to have a format change and a shorter third season.
I wasn't treating it like it was. I"m well aware disney has a LONG history of treating shows like garbage. They did the same "quitely burn off the season we no longer want" shit with Penn Zero and Wander Over Yonder.
I was also there for their treatment of Star Vs and Milo Murphy's Law, having to wait a FULL YEAR after season 3 for the former and being dumbstruck at how long the other took to get US Airdates, and then by how fast they burned off what was left. It's cancelation also annoyed the hell out of me as it follows the same dumb logic nickleodeon uses: Disney CLEARLY wanted Milo to be another super hit like Phineas and Ferb, and thus didn't accept that it was simply decently succesful instead of a monster hit right away, and then made up excuses to cancel it by shuttling the crew to Candace vs the Universe and "promising" they'd renew it if intrest was high enough.. which it is but they didn't. And as you can tell i'm still incredibly bitter about that one.
I DIDN'T know the format change for BH6, which I don't watch, was forced, but i'm not suprised.
My point wasn't that this was new for Disney, it isn't. My point is their actions this year were bad and self destructive even for THEM. Even BEYOND this bullshit. They canceled easily their flagship show with cross generational appeal, cut it's clear succesor's final season to ribbons for homophobic reasons, and utterly massacred one's finale by getting gunshy at the literal last second and not you know CHECKING WITH ITUNES TO MAKE SURE THE EPISODE DIDN'T LEAK.
Quitely dumping off shows or canceling them for stupid reasons, that i'm used to, but blatantly letting stupid policies and homophobia shoot them in the foot is new behavior for this branch and is something that needs to stop here.

Just finished Wander over yonder on Hulu and I really liked it. I've seen episodes here and there when it first came out but this is the first time I've been able to watch the show all the way through.
The show was a lot funnier than I expected it to be. There were times when I found myself a lot during some episodes.
I also liked the art style and a some of the character designs.
I liked the four main characters, and thought they all had good character development even if we only two seasons. Wander might not have changed that much but I think he realized not everyone is going to be your friend, and sometimes it takes more than just being nice and friendly towards someone to make them want to change for the better.
Sylvia learned to appreciate Wander wanting to see the good in everyone, and admitted she is a better person now because of him. Hater I think realized (even though he wouldn't want to admit it.) That he can be a hero if he really wanted too. And also learned to appreciate Peepers and both of them realizing they need each other.
Commander Peepers while trying to be patient with Hater and understanding of how he was feeling, he had no problem at times to take charge when Hater wasn't focusing and also standing up to Hater and telling him it was his fault if something went wrong or didn't go his way. There are times when he acts like a better villain than Hater and Dominator. Makes you wonder what he could do on his own if 1. He could make more people take him seriously. And 2. If he wasn't so loyal to Hater.
I didn't care too much for Dominator at first, it wasn't until The night out that she was given more depth. Thinking about it now she could have been jealous of Wander and the others. She would usually go after the four of them the most, and like Wander said he had Sylvia Lord Hater had Peepers and the rest of the watchdogs, (and in a way the four of them all have each other too.) Dominator doesn't have anyone that we know of. While being lonely doesn't excuse her behavior, it explains why she doesn't know how to act around others who do want to be her friend.
While I am disappointed the show was cancelled. I do think it could come back someday. Samurai Jack, Clone wars, invader zim and Hey Arnold all came back years later and were able to get proper series finales. I understand people's frustration that the crew doesn't want to give away all of season three. But at the same time, I also understand why they don't want to say anything.
The best thing to do is watch the show legally. If you have or can get Hulu watch it on there. Keep requesting for it to be put on Disney plus and watch it there when it does. I've heard Milo Murphy's law has been requested a lot on Disney plus, and a lot of people are hoping it'll convince Disney to renew it. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up since I haven't heard anything since, but if doing all that can help Milo then maybe there's hope for Wander too.

replying to all those who gave recs on d*sney +! bit of a long post because of all the responses ^_^;
bonethievery:im not sure if its on disney+ but star vs evil is good (i watched it on hulu but it was a disney xd show). idk a lot of disney shows.
oh i used to watch that show! i don’t really feel like finishing it tho, i'm watching a lot of plot heavy shows rn and i’m going to burn out soon.
bonethievery:That being said, this is not a Disney show or on D+ but if you like wander over yonder you might like Kid Cosmic! It's on Netflix, made by the same person!
oh i do plan on watching that! they got a 2nd season coming out soon and a 3rd season planned! I plan on watching it once season 2 is out :>
soothedcerberus:Looks like you’re planning on watching all the good stuff, and I can’t remember if you seen it or not but I definitely recommend treasure planet 🥺
;-; i want to watch it! i remember i saw it in theaters and can’t remember it so i look forward to it.
kizzerific:I don't like the MCU, but I did enjoy Wandavision. It's an examination of grief and trying to reconstruct what you love with honestly top-notch effects.
mayyybeeee. i’m really tired of the MCU* and i’m super burnt out on super heroes in general, though i have heard good things and the themes of that do resonate with me. i might watch it, i dunno yet tho.
(I actually do like Guardians of the Galaxy 1/2 and Thor 3 tho)
uselessundertalefacts:I like phineas and ferb and Milo Murphy’s Law a lot :)
sadly i doubt i’ll have the stamina to watch both shows within a month ): but thank you for the rec! i heard they’re both good shows ^_^
obnoxiousavian:If you’re into documentaries, there’s quite a few of those (as well as some “vintage” shows). Personally, I like the animation and theme park history stuff like the imagineering story (goes over how all of the theme parks were created), The Story of the Animated Drawing (from the 50s, talking about the history of the medium, narrated by Walt), Inside Pixar, and the Pixar Story
oooo i’ll check them out! i know i’ve seen one of the pixar documentaries before so i’m unsure which one though. i’m not really into the theme parks, but who knows maybe it’d be fun hehe. (i do like Defunctland on occasion, but that's despite the topic matter)
potato-arts:Duck tales is an awesome series I highly recommend it
OH YEAH! i wanted to watch that one! i saw a few episodes of season 1 back when it was airing but i moved out of my dad’s and couldn’t get back into it without cable. its a good show ;-;
krippyman:2017 spiderman
maybe! as above i’ve mentioned i’m burnt out on super heros, so that includes spiderman. (exception being spiderverse) but i’ll probably give it a shot -i liked the early 2000s spiderman cartoon so at the very least it’ll be a nostalgic trip hehe.
Anonymous asked: I think fish hooks might be fun to watch :] its pretty goofy and slice of life stuff if you like that type of stuff
i’ll give it a shot! also its really nice u picked an older/obscure show. i hate how time makes shows disappear! people pour their souls into these shows and a perfectly decent/lovely show can be forgotten because it’s not one of the “greats.” not everything has to be an spectacular adventure show to be remembered.
thank you all for the recs! it was such a nice surprise to get so many thoughtful answers ;v;

Do you think TGAMM will reach Amphibia or The Owl House level popularity when season 2 comes out or will it remain that beloved cult hit like Milo Murphy’s Law or Wander Over Yonder?
I honestly don’t know, it really depends on how many people watch the show and how popular it gets. The creators are always asking people to watch the show on Disney+ or when it airs on TV for ratings. But again it really depends on if people are interested in it. So all we can do it wait and see.
