Okay, I know Beatrice walking into the Prado in shades was probably just Kristina Tonteri-Young’s natural swag, but can you imagine Ava finding those glasses at a shop somewhere and being like, “Oh my gosh, Bea! You have to try these on.”

And Beatrice is like, “Really? We’re going to be inside.”

“No, shh! Just trust the vision.”

Bea gives her the most deadpan look and with the glasses on, it’s so perfect.

Ava squeals and claps her hands. “Hell yeah! Let’s go!”

Ava has to wear clip-on earrings because the halo keeps healing her ears. She also can’t wear magnetic earrings because whenever she’s around Beatrice, the halo decides to ‘help’ Beatrice realize Ava is into her by becoming magnetic to show off the principle of attraction. Not only do any magnetic earrings end up on Ava’s back, but if Beatrice is fully strapped in (to her knife chest plate, obviously), she ends up stuck to Ava until the halo decides its idiots have had enough for now and lets them go. Beatrice keeps trying to de-magnetize her blades because they really shouldn’t be magnetic but the halo has its ways.

Sometimes Ava and Beatrice don’t realize the halo has released them for awhile and they end up cuddling because ‘they have no choice.’ Sometimes they do realize, but each pretends like they don’t because the other is resting so comfortably and how could they disturb them?

I feel like Ava would return to the human realm pretty quickly because you know she'd spend all her time in Heaven talking nonstop about how great her girlfriend is, like every young lesbian in a new long distance relationship is prone to do, and eventually Reya would get so goddamn tired of hearing about it that she would heal Ava as fast as possible and yeet her back out of the portal to just go kiss Beatrice already and maybe, finally, shut the fuck up

Don't get me wrong I love the whole 'beatrice big spoon, ava little spoon' BUT there's just something about beatrice being the little spoon. Like... her finally allowing herself to be held and letting her guard down cause she feels safe in ava's arms.

Because of my theory that she is his mother, I like to think she grieves Adriel. Despite all he had done, his death broke her heart. Maybe she sent the Tarasks after him when he first escaped for the same reason - she knew he had to be dealt with, yet could not bear to harm him herself (as it seems she can visit Earth should she want to, she gave Areala the Crown of Thorns after all).

I just thought of something

Imagine Ava getting into Heaven and it’s everything she could ever want

She is surrounded by unspeakable beauty, she gets to see her parents again and she has everything she could ever want

But she’s still not happy

Mary asks her why and Ava simply responds that it’s not Heaven without Beatrice

(not sure if this has been done already but) I headcanon that instead of the OCS recruiting Camila, Camila found the OCS.

(This, of course, is inspired by me rewatching the “Carmen Sandiego” pilot) (and this also inspired other thoughts about a CSxWN au…)

Anyways, these thoughts were specifically inspired by the character “Player”, who hacks security systems and tells the owners where their cybersecurity weaknesses are. So my idea is that Camila, who already had some coding/hacking experience before she first became a nun (maybe before everything went bad with her parents one of them was in the quickly evolving tech industry and would teach her coding for fun?), moonlighted as a grey-hat hacker, and got on the OCS’s radar when she hacked their systems.

The OCS thought that it was some malicious attempt to try and expose them, but the team that was sent (probably Shannon, Mary, Lilith, and Bea) just find this little guy with innocent bambi eyes and telling them exactly how terrible their file encryption is and “oh my gosh, I like, hacked your expense accounts in five minutes. Why do you guys spend so much of your budget on-”, and she is promptly adopted.

Well, not so simply, as one does not forcefully adopt people into the OCS (the Ava-situation not-withstanding). Superion is at first not so agreeable about the group's unorthodox decision, but after Camila demonstrates her tech skills, she gives in and allows her to stay (and writes to whoever the person in charge of transferring nuns between orders or whatever so that it can be done officially as well). Partly for practicality, as the order needs more tech-savvy sister warriors with how prominent technology is becoming in the world, but also because Camila is such a little guy and Superion could not say no.

I saw your post about Bea's grandmother. And I have questions! How does her grandmother know Ava's name? How does she know Bea is queer? Does she know about the saving the world story? I kind of feel like there must be a backstory here? Was the grandmother maybe in love with a woman once? Or had a sister who was? Was her husband a beard?

Does Beatrice buy a castle for her new headquarters? Maybe with a nice gatehouse on the grounds where she and Ava can live? Where is it?

These are such good questions about this post! I'll start with the last set:

I think Bea works with an architect to design a new building for their headquarters. It's light and airy with tons of windows because that reflects the transition of their mission from secret to transparent. I think there's a floor of living quarters for visiting OCS 2.0 members and one for unhoused youth (particularly LGBTQ+ youth). Camila becomes the "House Mom" for that floor.

I don't think Ava and Bea live at the headquarters. Ava wants a life that is as normal as possible, and Bea, even though she is committed to the foundation, needs a little space.

They debate the pros and cons of buying a condo versus a house. Eventually, they settle on a medium-sized house with a little bit of land because Ava wants to be able to walk outside and feel the dirt and grass between her toes. Bea gets really into gardening and Ava happily carts mulch around and spreads it as directed.

Now, when they travel... that's when Bea splurges on amazing experiences for Ava. Renting a castle in the highlands of Scotland? Yes. Staying in a transparent dome in Iceland to see the northern lights? Absolutely. Overnight dogsledding trip in Alaska? Definitely.

And, when they have kids, I think Bea occasionally spends money on silly things, like setting up a backyard ice-skating rink for the winter. It's the kind of thing where yes, money helps make it possible, but it's not about the money or the status: it's about the memories her kids will make having fun with their friends.

And I think they end up in Switzerland because, in a way, that's where both of their lives really began :-)

Now, let's talk about Bea's Grandmother.

I think there was a relative, maybe an Aunt or cousin, her grandmother adored when she was young. But when this woman started to live with her "good friend," the family ostracized her and kept her away from Bea's grandmother. She wasn't really old enough to do anything about it, so the memories faded into the background.

I think when Bea was little, she really reminded her grandmother of this other family member, bringing up memories of her for the first time in years. Older and wiser, I think Bea's grandmother starts to put some pieces together and tries to find this lost relative back in China. It's been 60ish years so it takes some time.

When they finally do reconnect, her theories are confirmed. By this time, Bea has graduated and joined the Church, so her grandmother isn't sure how to proceed. If she's really happy as a nun, her grandmother doesn't want to rock the boat, but she does wonder...

After the world-saving incident, I think her grandmother catches that brief glimpse of her granddaughter and spends a considerable amount of money on private detectives to confirm it really was her. That's how she learns about Ava.

We all know it’s just Bea waking up with Ava’s face wayyy to close to hers. And then the alarm going off, startling her while Ava groans about how noisy it is, not even bothering to open her eyes. And Bea frantically turns it off before going to shower. But not without catching a glimpse of Ava stealing her pillow and snuggling it before falling back asleep. And wow. Bea needs a COLD shower because fuck. She locks the door behind her and gay panic ensues. And the scene ends with her grasping the sink with white knuckles and staring at herself in the mirror while trying to catch her breath.

Bonus: cut to Bea walking out of the shower to find Ava drooling all over her pillow. But in an endearing way.

Simon says … bedroom scene script pages?!?

“bedroom scene” has an obvious implication (Simon knows us all too well, haha), but I think this refers to a scene that Simon previously mentioned of Ava and Bea talking awkwardly in bed when they were in Switzerland, which was ultimately scrapped in order to enhance the power of their first kiss. Also curious about (okay, dying to see) the “other goodies” …
