For you, I Fight
Plot: YN protects injured Bakugou. Fueled by memories, Bakugou fights back and vows to keep YN safe.
A/N: this is a request from @supernerdycookietrashblrr (req). I’m sorry if this story didn’t meet your expectations, but I did my best to deliver your request, I hope you enjoy this though!!

The battlefield was a mess. Smoke and debris filled the air as Shigaraki’s attacks tore everything apart. Bakugou Katsuki lay injured and barely conscious. His usual fiery spirit was overshadowed by pain, his body a broken mess.
Amid the chaos, YN stood between Shigaraki and Bakugou, taking every hit meant for him. They shielded Bakugou with their own body, taking the brunt of the attacks.
“Stay down, Bakugou!” YN yelled, their voice strained but firm. “I’m not letting him get to you!”
Bakugou’s eyes, normally so full of fire, were wide with fear. He wanted to move, to fight back, but his body wouldn’t listen. Every time YN took a blow, it felt like it was breaking him more inside.
When Shigaraki landed a massive hit, YN’s arm snapped. Pain shot through them, but they didn’t stop. They stayed on their feet, protecting Bakugou despite their injuries.
Edgeshot, a hero known for his precision, made his way through the chaos to YN. His eyes widened with concern. He quickly used his quirk to stabilize YN’s worst injuries.
As Edgeshot worked, Bakugou struggled to pull himself together. Seeing YN’s battered form lit a fire in him. He was angry and scared, but most of all, he was determined. He had to fight back for the person who was risking everything for him.
“Don’t you dare… don’t you dare leave me!” Bakugou shouted, his voice cracking. He launched himself at Shigaraki with all his remaining strength. Each explosion was fueled by his worry and gratitude.
Edgeshot glanced up. “You focus on him. I’ll take care of YN”
Bakugou, now focused, threw himself into the fight. His attacks were wild, driven by a mix of anger and a desperate need to protect. Shigaraki, surprised by Bakugou’s fierce attacks, was pushed back.
As Bakugou fought, flashes of memories ran through his mind. He remembered the quiet moments with YN, their laughter, and the way they would hold each other close. He saw them walking hand in hand, smiling at each other, and how happy they were together before this battle began.
In one flashback, he remembered YN’s soft smile as they had shared a peaceful moment, away from all the chaos. Another memory was of them laughing together, enjoying a simple evening. Those moments seemed so distant now, but they gave Bakugou strength to keep going.
Finally, Shigaraki was forced to retreat. Bakugou hurried back to YN’s side. He found them still in critical condition, but Edgeshot had managed to stabilize them. Bakugou knelt beside YN, his face full of worry.
“YN… you better not leave me,” Bakugou said, his voice breaking. “I need you. I don’t know how to do this without you.”
YN, barely conscious, reached out and took Bakugou’s hand. “I’m here… I’m not going anywhere.”
Tears filled Bakugou’s eyes as he held Y/N’s hand tightly. “I’m sorry. For everything. I promise I’ll keep you safe.”
In the midst of the battle’s aftermath, Bakugou held YN close, his usual bravado replaced by a deep sense of gratitude and fear. The fight was over, but in that quiet moment, the bond between them was stronger than ever.

Really love the idea of wartime sakuino- like they got closer during the time skip and started to develop feelings for each other and then it comes to a head during the war.
Sakura just rewired some guys entire cardiovascular system and now she’s making out with her girlfriend before they both have to go face death again
Sasuke wouldn’t really care much but I do think it’d be funny to have him looking for Sakura to help with something only to find her… busy.

The majority of the Naruto fandom disregards Gaara as if he didn't carry the entire war arc on his back.

My first time using clip studio paint. I had to draw them interacting because Horikoshi hasn’t give us anything yet. They’re supposed to be walking around the mall.
Here’s a transcription in case my writing is confusing. I added some corrections too:
Izuku: Last time I was here Shim(ura)- Shingaraki threatened me. A lot of stuff happened…But you already know all that! Though I wonder how everyone’s doing. They didn’t really talk yesterday.
Katsuki: They probably got a lot on their minds too, Izuku.

Honestly the War arc was top moment because it was humiliation after humiliation for Endeavor.
Enji wasted so many years wanting to be the best that he never actually thought about what he'd do while facing the absolutely worst case scenario. He was so blind, so arrogant, that the image he had of himself came crashing down the minute he realized the physical aspect of his work was all that mattered.
It is like Dabi says, the past never dies.
That's the issue of being a hero in body and not in mind. When the crisis comes, heroes need to face the responsibility of their actions or the stakes at hand, like Aizawa cutting his leg without a doubt or All Might giving his all in Kamino or the UA kids so many times.
For all his years of experience, Enji was being taught how to be a real hero right there and then.

You know everytime someone tells me that they’re finally gonna watch Naruto, I tell them to watch the war arc with their brain fully turned off and just enjoy the theatrics simply because of the fact it makes little to no sense. Kabuto out of all villains in the series, is somehow the mastermind and steals orochimaru’s swag. Instead of the Konaha 13 fighting actual people, they’re fighting zombie shinobi. The worst part is the random emergence of Kaguya that would’ve been 10x better in Boruto.

I cannot believe that people are still bashing on Sakura for not recognizing the fourth Hokage
For one; she's in a freakin war a lot goes on and so little to react to everything that is going on she focuses on one thing and that is healing people
Two; She never knew just like everyone else outside of previous gen to keep secret about Kurama's attack and the fact of the matter just because one lives in the same village doesn't mean everyone knows everyone
Three; Doesn't obviously know Naruto's birth parents since he was an orphan and wasn't very close to him until being on the same team as him and just like Sasuke not knowing at all of Naruto's parents
Four; She does know the Hokage(s) yes she mostly only knows of the third since he was the one who was there in her generation and possibly like everyone else in the village only mainly the parents knows about the fourth's sacrifice especially in the front lines lead Shinobi
No one else in the same generation as Sakura doesn't know who Minato is either but you don't hear at all about that only with Sakura since she was the one to react the most when Minato made his appearance

Thorfinn, passing his phone to Canute: I'm passing the phone to someone, who if I had to choose between hanging out with them, and having my organs removed one by one, I’d choose the organs
Canute, passing the phone back to Thorfinn: I'm passing the phone to my best friend!

Why, in my opinion, Arnheid is the true heroine of Vinland Saga season 2
I think I never talked about Vinland Saga here in tumblr, although I've been mulling over the events of this last season (season 2). I've read complaints, from the beginning, that it's a very slow season and that it doesn't contribute anything, but I suppose that comes from people who only likes teenage Thorfinn.
From the beginning there's this idea that in war there is no honor or glory; because there can be neither honor nor glory in something that consists of shedding blood and taking the lives of other people.
Thorfinn is a boy, a male kid, and as a boy, he grows up with very defined expectations and a role in a warrior society; therefore, when it happens what happens, it is he and not his sister (even though she is older), who has to carry out revenge, even if he is only a child.
And that leads him to have to grow on the battlefield. His pride and position, as a Norseman, depend and fall on war and violence; and he is not aware of all this until he loses his only reason for living.
Tumblr media
And that's when the second season begins and we find a different Thorfinn, depressed and without any ties to life, an empty shell. And that's when Einar and also Arnheid come in.
Tumblr media
Until that moment we have seen war from the point of view of male warriors. And through Einar we have seen the war from a farmer's point of view. But it is with Arnheid that the story changes: because she is a woman.
We don't know what Thorfinn's evolution or life was like in those 2 years of slavery until Einar arrives; and we don't know because that doesn't matter. And it doesn't matter because this arc is about the consequences of war (and not just in the form of Thorfinn's PTSD).
There is also gender bias in war. We see it in Thorfinn, he grows up in the war, and in his sister, who stays at home with his mother. We see it, implicitly and more subtly, in Einar and his sister. And we see it in Thorfinn, Einar and Arnnheid.
The three of them are war victims: a child soldier and two people who lost their homes and families. The three of them ended up as slaves. The line between war and slavery is very thin.
Tumblr media
But even as slaves, Thorfinn and Einar's life is much simpler than that of Arnheid: physically hard work, yes, but they are given the opportunity, when the time comes, to buy their own freedom. Arnheid has no such freedom: she is not only a servant, she is also a sex slave. Because she is a woman. And as a woman she is only good for doing domestic work and serving as a sexual object.
It is she, along with her story, the true protagonist of this season. The heroine. Who shows us what awaits women in contexts of war and slavery. And this is not just a thing of the 11th century: currently women in war conflicts are also victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Tumblr media
That is why Thorfinn's evolution in those 2 years in which he was alone doesn't matter. That's why his reunion with Leif doesn't matter. That's why, even though he hasn't interacted with Arnheid that much, he is willing to help and protect her, to get her out of there.
Thorfinn knows the tactics of war better than anyone, he spent most of his life on the battlefield. But that also implied that the context in which he grew up was especially male-dominant.
Arnheid, from my point of view, gave Thorfinn a new perspective (a perspective he may not have considered before) on the consequences of the war.
