I had drawn references for a future thing-- modern day Volo and post!rocket Wander, and just...

Volo waited 200 years to see his boyfriend only to run into a younger Wander 12 years earlier than intended. A Wander that is still beaten and bloodied from the raid on Mahogany Town. Wander with a hyperbeam wound that isn't even remotely close to being healed yet, and with hands and wrists and BACK riddled with cigarette burns that also are too recent to have scarred.

Volo with this new context is really not going to like Champion Lance, or Rocket Executive Petrel.

Unfortunately young Wander is extremely aggressive towards everyone, and Volo being nosy and annoying (and tall) pisses him off.
