Ok Y'all. I have to brag on Hawthorn tonight. When we started this thing aboit a month ago I had to practically pull him around the track. He wanted to stop every couple of laps and was done by a mile and a half. Tonight he walked more laps than I did and he RAN 3 of them ! He walked a total of 2.5 miles with just a couple of brief stops for water. I am super impressed with the change. A few days back I met Ivan at the campsite I was staying at. I had a few extra kiwis 🥝 a hitchhiker gave me and I passed them on to him which started conversation. Ivan is “walking for life” to support mental health in New Zealand. He is walking the entire North and South Island I’ve the next year. People from all over NZ are following him and supporting him. We both are on our own journeys thru life, though we share common ground of helping others. La vida es un cúmulo de decisiones, buenas o malas, ¿cómo saber, cual es la correcta? No pain, no gain right?

Sore, so very sore. Thighs are so freaking tight I thought I may have pulled something! When I got up this morning they were okay, I thought it was just the usual thigh pain from hill walking, but NO! The squats and hill walking were an unwise option to be done on the same day. Went back to my usual gentle incline route tonight, just added abit more to it as I like to feel accomplishment after a walk, and I did. Thighs didn't give me any trouble while out there doing it, just when at rest they tighten up something wicked. Gave myself a massage before bed and an extra lot of protein in my evening meal to help boost muscle repair. Keep up the great work to everyone who is following me! I may not follow you back but I am so very greatful you follow me and send warm messages! You guys freaking rock!

Another great walk along Central Park and through my hood with my roomie. We walked 9 miles in 3.5 hours🏃🏾🏃🏽‍♂️ We did a pit stop at sheep meadow to meet other friends and that part of the park was popping! Everyone was chilling like it was the summer of 2019.
