Layer/Rei, Scaramouche, Teru, Azul

Summary: seems your s/o and you have caught the attention of a cheeky little ghost!

Notes: I really thought I was gonna finish this in a night...Azul and Teru have tbhk references to the time Nene was possessed by Hanako! Might upload an updated masterlist post so people don't have to read a whole essay 🌝

You heard from Masuki that there's a ghost that possesses bassists. "Come on that can't be real" "No way! Ako said the ghost possessed Lisa recently! It targets people with long hair!!" Masuki jumps in "YOU KNOW THEIR POSSESSED WHEN THEY SUDDENLY WEAR RED-"

"I'm sure no ghost will appear" Rei comes into the room. "Sorry I took so long I was talking to Tae. Oh Y/n , nice to see you here" "you too Rei" Masuki and Rokka are huddled behind you that's when you notice Reis wearing a red coat. You've seen it before but she rarely wears it unless you two are on a date....but this is practice....oh HELL NO. you excuse the three of you and avoid her like a plague. Like your all hiding in Chu2's cry closet and if she ever caught you, you'd scream and split up. "Rokka what the hell are you doing this is my hiding spot" "I wanna stay with you you don't know if the ghost comes in here! ><" "so you're using me as bait" "I mean you and rei like each other right? What if she resists the ghost because of the power of love!" "That's so stupid" "that's the best romantic plot ever" "MASUKI?!" You both yell.

You guys hear the door open. As you and Rokka hug each other tightly shaking and sobbing you hear the voice of a radiative midget. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE" Chu2 and Pareo found you guys huddled in the closet "Reis been possessed by a ghost-. Is she still wearing red?" "Yea?" "Oh my god you didn't hear about the ghost bassist" as soon as Rokka told them they hid with you guys.

Rei was confused, the coat was a coat you liked. You often borrowed it too...so why were you running from her. She thinks you're mad at her and sits on the couch huddled up. She decides to ask someone for advice, they respond immediately. "always works with my friends!" you all heard the doorbell 10 minutes after...someone had to get it-

"1 2 3 not it" "WHYED YOU ALL OUT ME IMMEDIATELY" you get out the closet grumbling. "If I get murdered by an angry ghost I blame you guys. Coming back as the hash shlinging slasher" You get out to see a pizza order for Wakana Rei It was a trap. "Oh- I thought Chu2 only sent me to get it-" Chu2 never told her anything- Chu2s still looking up if a ghost bassist is even real. "Rei~ hehe...shit I mean uhh how's the weather~". Tall joke...last ditch effort. You ran away with the pizza. Her walking after you WHICH WAS TERRIFYING.

She grabs your wrist "so what do you say we spend a bit of time together? Not like the rest of the bands here" "that isn't necessary I'll be heading home now-" You try to move back as she begins walking with you. "Why I don't see why, you usually stay till practice ends" "I have to leave early!" "You would have said something to me earlier" she's pushed you into a wall now her looking down at you with sorrowful annoyed eyes. "Rei um...you don't happen to be possessed do you"

Both your hands are pinned to a wall now. This was what you running away was about? "You think I'm possessed?" She grips you tighter. "Well a ghost bassist is going around that possessed Lisa as of" she looks at you scrunching her eyes."mep-" Well now you've probably angered the touch starved ghost possessing your girlfriend. You look up at her only to look down again. She could probably scare Masukis with the look she was giving you.

She bursts out laughing tears developing in her eyes. "Oh thank goodness, I thought you couldn't even bear to look at me" she sighs looking at you calmly. "Rei, I would never" " thank god" she kisses you deeply a kiss she felt she deserved. You pulled back "so how are we gonna tell the others" "does it really matter?" Her hands were everywhere kissing your neck and such. This was one of the moments you can see how touch-starved Rei can get. "You know the others are probably praying to their lucky stars that I'm alright ya know-" "I was too" "Rei!" You try to think. OK if Rei was possessed she simply wouldn't set up a whole trap for you instead would have called you and asked, but knowing you were in the penthouse and everyone's ignoring her she most likely got confused and scared and usually she'd ask for advice...oh. everything just sort of clicked when you realized that advice part.

You hear the clank of buckets behind you two "UNHAND OUR NUMBER ONE SUBSCRIBER YOU GHOSTLY FIEND" "GUYS WAIT ITS FINE SHE ISNT POSSESSED" "and how do you know the ghost isn't trying to trick you?" Pareo speaks up. "Tae put her up to this...plus she isnt wearing red anymore sooo" "oh..." "wait howed you know Tae came up with that" "only Tae would tell you to go through with something like that knowing it would draw someone out sounds like a tactic she would use on Arisa..." silence has never been so loud. "LAY WERE SORRY" "WE WERE ABOUT TO PUT SALT ALL OVER THE PENTHOUSE" "you were what-"

And so RAS was off to practice with their newly not possessed vocalist. Before practice, Rei put her coat over you, joining the rest of the band afterward. you got to watch Masuki and Rokka eye Rei to make triple sure she wasn't gonna suddenly do some ghost stuff. Their eyes say it all "you think her heads gonna turn like an owls?!?" "There's no ghost in- DID HER HEAD JUST MOVE-" the band talking without saying words all making sure Rei doesn't get any ghostly ideas

Rokka does tell Rei about the ghost story after practice. "Oh yea? I think I saw that story pop up on a fake story site" "HUH" you all jump back. "Ako really scammed you huh" "But she said-" Rokkas phone rings Akos calling. "ROKKA! THE GHOST TURNED OUT TO BE LISAS REFLECTION ON GLASS" "....are you serious" "Why what happened?" "I'll tell you at school"...

You were trying to scare the traveler that a spirit haunted sumerus forest. "It's said that if you go into the forest and wander near disturbed land. THE SPIRIT WILL DISGUISE AS SOMEONE YOU HOLD DEAR AND SWOOP YOU AWAY NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN" "that sounds like a stupid tale" Paimon shrugs "oh but it's true there's people that remember their encounters with the spirit!" You joked. "Fun to see you traveler safe travels!"

You got a commission about the very same forest the next day. You stretch before entering as you feel the whole atmosphere change around you. "Alright just gotta exorcise a spirit and live to tell the tale" you quicken your pace using elemental sight to spot anything. Still nothing...him...

That's when someone comes screaming to you "HELP HELPPPP!!" "HEY HEY calm down what's going on" "There's a spirit! It's coming for me I can feel it!" "Sir I'll escort you just stay calm" "th-thank you-" You escort him holding onto his hand. "Straight down is the gate" "THANK YOU" he nearly runs away on sightseeing the gate. You tried to go in deeper when more and more people kept coming up to you crying and yelling. You eventually started to ignore them to keep going in.

Turns out it was a good choice because it seems you were in a new area. Dark yet well lit and quiet. "Y/n~" you look around pulling out your weapon. "Y/n~ why are you so hostile? Relax a little" the voice sounded exactly like your beloved. "Boo" a soft blow on your ear you turned around using your vision to strike the thing behind you. "What's wrong? Do I fluster you that much" " Scara!...wait" you push the non-lethal side of your weapon into him. "Knew it"

"Knew what?" "Your the spirit terrorizing the adventures!" "HUH?!" "DON'T PLAY DUMB NOW, How dare you copy my lovers quite adorable face!" "Adorable?!" The fake scara begins to blush. "I'll send you back to once you came" You stuck the fake as more popped up there'd seem to be an infinite amount. All that fighting had you wondering...there's only one reported sighting of a ghost despite there being multiple people running out the forest when you came in. Then it hit you, perhaps the people you saw were in cahoots' with the spirit with the commission being an actual adventurer. That's when an idea hit you.

You pinned one of the fakes to the ground. "Scara...you're so cute when you can't even keep eye contact" you leaned into kiss the fake. "STOP STOP STOP STOOPPP" the fake poofed into an aranara and so did the others. The real Scaramouche covering his face while speed walking up to you. he catches up to you and shakes you "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU-" "What's wrong with you trying to keep a forest to yourself" "THIS IS A PRIVATE PLACE" he sighs. "And all adventures do is make noise while I try to relax. They're so obnoxious"

"So you made aranara pretend to be people to scare away adventures and tucker them out" "exactly" "scara-" "don't give me that smug look you look like your about to nag me" "maybe~" he groans. "you used the fairytale to trick outsiders" you hug him from behind "how cleaver~" he looks away from you "to think you came up with this just to get some alone time. Why aren't you cute~" now your pinching his cheek. Instead of nagging he got the worse route of teasing.

"Really thought you were possessed there for a second" An aranara tugs on your leg "if I may fellow nara, how did you know?" You smile at this "you see your friend here doesn't need to breathe, so when I felt him take a breath I knew he was an imposter" "that's amazing fellow nara!" "Also cause you got his chest size wrong but a few centimeters"

".....what" Scara turns to you shocked you even said that. Blushing like a mad man while covering his chest. "HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW THAT KIND OF INFORMATION" "you thought I couldn't tell?!" "FELLOW NARA WHY DO YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THOSE DETAILS" "so that way stuff like this doesn't happen" "fellow nara I think you came too prepared" "when it comes to Scara I'm never too prepared ☆"

He's scared of how much you know about him after that chest comment. Next, you're going to say how you can tell his lip's crust if he doesn't use a paintbrush to put on chapstick. "I'll be reporting back to Catherine, make sure not to scare people too much!" He spits a raspberry at you turns around and starts to feel the place you pinched him. "You must really like that nara" "yea....I MEAN THATS NONE OF YOUR BUISNESS!!"

"Yo if you possess Teru's s/o and make em do some crazy shit, I'll start some beef between students" "BETTT BRO" and so the ghost went off to find you kicking you out of your own body.

Yo! The names Y/n and currently I'm being held hostage in my own body! The ghost possessing me has alot more demeanor than my usual self. It was rizzing up everyone and everything it saw. "Are you practicing for someone" "Yea" you gasped loudly purposely trying to irritate them "WHAT PLANS DO YOU HAVE WITH THEM" "just trying to win a bet don't worry. You'll have your body back when I'm done~" "what if I get exorcised while your in my body" "...skill issue" "ARE YOU KIDDING ME"

you were praying that Akane or Nene saw you those two are the only people besides Teru you think can help right now. "CAN YOU STOP THINKING ITS CLOUDING MY MIND TOO" "well now i know how to piss you off" Its been two days, it got annoyed of your thoughts and decided on an idea kicking itself out of your body and forcing you back in you only re possessing you when someone began talking to you. You became alot more popular in this timespan. Teru noticing that you've all been acting a bit...strange.

"You haven't been making friends with any ghosts have you?" The atmosphere became stiff, the ghost hiding behind you "I didn't even know there were ghosts in this school" "Uh huh" he looks behind you. "Very well...if you ever see one" he puts his hand under your chin pulling you in closer "call me"

You and the ghost began to bond. Writing to each other on a post it. "Your learning this stuff? Will this ever be useful?" "School want to profit off of students that made it big." "I see.." "you didn't learn this when you were alive?" The ghost didn't answer instead looking off to the side. The ghost began helping you cheat on tests and quizzes. The ghost even informed you on gossip around school. "that girl over there talks to herself almost everyday" "well yea there's a ghost next to her"

you walked home with Teru that day. As you were about to drift to sleep you spot a figure forming in the corner. you grab something nearby to protect yourself. "Relax kid jeez" "ARENT GHOSTS BOUND TO THE SCHOOL-" "not when you bring the item they're attached to dingus" "You put that in there" you sigh. "Alright you tell me what you want IN detail and I'll try to help you out" the ghost crosses it's arms smirking "alright kid. If I'm able to make you do something ridiculous my friend bet me that he'll start some juicy gossip with students" "so you're possessing me to cause trouble" "You know how drama is it'll blow over" "You might ruin those kids reputations" "not like they had any to begin with" you sigh picking up your phone. "What are you doing" you didn't answer only dialed a number " Hi Teru~" "HEY HEY PUT THAT DOWN" "Y/n why are you up at this hour" your fighting the ghost for control over your body at this point. "Nothing it's just *static* there's a *static* so how was your day sweet cheeks *static* SWEET CHEEKS?!" "Hehe Y/n~ you really know how to brighten up someone's mood. You mind meeting me after school tomorrow?" "Yea that sounds great" you both simultaneously answer

And so the next school day was over you headed to the student council office. "Y/n~ so glad to see you!" "So glad to see you two Teru, your fingers intertwine with his. he turns but you keep hold "I didn't know you were feeling romantic today, howed everything go?" "You know just ordinary school stuff" "how'd your day go?" If anyone else on the outside saw this they'd say you two were making up a dance. In reality, the ghost, who you've named Weiner, tries to not give Teru any hints that your being possessed

"Hey Yashiro look up!" Hanako points at a window seeing you and Teru. Teru...DANCING?!? OH THIS IS SOMETHING SHE NEVER KNEW SHE NEEDED IN HER LIFE. then she sees you and him come to a halt near the window you kissing him right then and there. Yashiro felt like she just got struck by lighting and got on her knees in defeat. "Ohhhh....maybe that wasn't a good idea" Yashiro had to be given a pep talk by Hanako and the Mokke

You wince in pain feeling something sting your lower back and wake up back in your body after floating on the ceiling for about 30 minutes. You remember seeing Weiner and Teru kissing before blinking. What you didn't notice was how tightly he was holding you. Was he doing this before- You also noticed that he kisses with his eyes open. You pull away pulling up a chair after pulling away. "all that dancing must have knocked the wind outta you" he pulls up a chair next to you. "Guess I had some energy left over" the smile he constantly has on his face is enough to make a heart melt. "Teru...someone has to teach you how to kiss better" "you aren't satisfied with the way I kiss-" "you kiss like your trying to suck someone's soul out the mouth"

He decided to walk you home that day, getting up to your door he hugs you tightly. "Call me if anything happens...alright?" "I'll be fine Teru, stay safe" he waits for you to close your door before heading off. You get up to your room still noticing the sharp sting. You got up to check it in front of a mirror noticing a small squarish shape on your back. Looks cool!

You didn't question it tho. You didn't question Weiner's disappearance either. He must have gotten what he needed and left. You didn't wanna admit it, but you missed talking to him...even if he didn't say goodbye.

You've been acting a bit strange. Well a bits an understatement. "Azul~ you don't think you've been at it for what...two hours now?" You rub a finger under his chin casually putting an arm on his shoulder. "I'll be done in a few angelfish" "you've been saying that for hours~ tell ya what you can do the rest of these tomorrow and we can go on a nice tea date"

He liked this version of you. But he's also very scared of this version. You always appear when he needs to do work yet he never gets to talk to you outside of class. It's like you only come into existence in his office.

He begins to notice blue rings in your irises and a small top hat floating around you. "What's wrong, see something ya like?" "Dear I didn't know you were a fan of hats" "so you noticed ♡" you sit on his lap "My my you really do pay close attention to me" He's flustered He's scared he's worried, hes just now noticing how loose your uniform is. the guys going through the 5 stages of grief. "I really should get back to work now" you look disappointed "alright~. I'll be back dear. Take a break everyone once in a while" you close the door heading back to your dorm.

You close the door behind you letting the ghost exit. "Ahh it's so nice to go back into the world!" "That's good that your enjoying yourself" "y/n you really are the best curator of ramshackle" the ghosts hugs you excitedly "I'm pretty sure I'm just the dorm leader at this point..." "THE GREATEST ONE OF ALL TIME"

It's been like this for a week the ghost wanted to see the outside world and you didn't want to attend class. So you and the ghost decided on a deal "let me see the outside world and you won't be in class spiritually" You'd try to ask what the ghost had been doing but they would say "oh what you would normally do~" Grim would try to tell you only to get hushed by the ghost. So you decided to ask them not to possess you on weekends. "Alright you've already done so much for me!"

you headed to the mystery shop and it was unusually crowded. People buying roses and gifts strange...valentines day isn't near. You try to ask someone what's going. "Excuse me-" "PLEASE HAVE THIS ROSE" "huh?" Now everyone's looking at you. "Y/N PLEASE ACCEPT THIS PLUSHIE!!" "Y/N LETS HANGOUT LATER!!" "Y/N PLEASE ACCEPT THIS MUSHROOM" it was then you realized what the ghost has been doing in your body. You fix your posture and smirk "maybe later" the crowd gets sad "you said that last time tho-" "I'm a busy person!...I'll tale the mushroom tho" ":D" "catch you all later ☆" leaving the mystery shop and making sure to not go the same route you usually do heading to the lounge.

" y/n, it seems you've made a name for yourself~" "Jade thank god" you hand him the mushroom "you mind if I see Azul if he's in his office" with the mushroom bribe he didn't know how to say no and escorted you to his office. Azul looking up at you in relief but also fear. "Azul~ still doing work?" Save him, he's aggressively scribbling in work trying to get it done "the stacks gotten bigger...I can do it with you" Azul looks up at you his eyes nearly sparkling "is something wrong?" "No no it's nothing" he stands up holding your cheeks "no blue circles..." "?" Without a second thought, he hugs you tight.

"What is even" "WHY WERE YOU ACTING WERID THIS WHOLE WEEK?!" "HUH-" he looks down blushing trying to make eye contact yet looking away "you...you kept coming in here telling me to stop working while.." he seems embarrassed...."that ghost must have been good " "ghost?" "Kinda had a ghost possess me so I didn't have to go to class spiritually" "..."

All that torture all of the times he got rizzed up...all of the hours that could have been spent on work...he doesn't mind putting down a workload to hang out with you but HE LOST ALL THAT TIME AND IT WASNT EVEN YOU. He's pretty sure he kissed the ghost in your body one of those times. "Please tell me before you do anything like that again" "I told them to- . Did they not tell you?" he looks away again. "DID YOU DO SOMETHING WEIRD WITH THEM?!" You say in a teasing manner "please don't ask me for details"

You walk into ramshackle "AH Y/N YOUR BACK!" the ghost hugs you. "Why yes I am and I've brought someone too!" You present Azul to them. They jump back. "You?!" "Did you do anything weird to him" "Why I did what the body wanted to do" "... which was" the ghost pouts looking away in embarrassment. "You went on a date in my stead didn't you" "uh..." they're both looking away now. You were annoyed they wouldn't tell you but still found it kinda funny. "I'm getting a confession out of one of you"

You investigate them both only for them to give the same reaction as before and figure one will just tell you tomorrow you went up to your room to rest. You receive a text from Azul right as you plop onto bed. "am i pathetic" "?" "The ghost mentioned that it was only doing what the body wanted them to do so I must ask...do you find me that pathetic-" "when in public no, IN PRIVATE you'd probably bend over backward over a single kiss" "..." "hehe~" "I have you know I'm very serious!" "Heading to the lounge rn if I pin you to a wall and tell you to sing your abcs you'd probably do it without thinking" "you wouldn't dare"

Azul texting that was his biggest mistake you were there in an instant. Pinning him to a wall, fingers intertwined, you keeping eye contact. "Sing your abcs" "...." times like this he wished to be in the octopot.
