Des. in Fashion Design – This is a 4-year undergraduate course, the minimum eligibility for which is a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) qualification with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. The program is spread over 8 semesters, with the final semester being based on the candidate’s chosen stream of study. Admission to the course is based on the candidate’s performance in a relevant qualifying examination. Some institutes such as NIFT conduct their own entrance test for assessing and shortlisting candidates for admission.

Such graduates are hired in capacities such as Fashion Coordinator, Cutting Assistant, Costume Designer, Graphic Designer, Fashion Consultant, Personal Stylist, Fabric Buyer, Technical Designer, Show Room Sales Representative, Illustrator, Fabric Quality Control Manager, Fashion Show Organizer, Fashion Show Coordinator, among others.

BA (Hons) Fashion design: While the course is of 4 years few institutes offer it as a 3 years degree course. Degree course also includes a detailed study of the market trends and the related fashion. The duration of the course is four years and it is career orienting in nature that offers many jobs after its completion.

BSc Fashion Design: B.Sc. in Fashion Design is a 3- year undergraduate course in fashion designing, spread over 6 semesters The course covers the study of specialized fields in the area of fashion design, such as accessory and jewelry design, footwear design, garment design, interior design, and leather design. The course involves lessons in creating original designs of garments, footwear, jewelry, luggage, etc., with the aim of staying in line with the ever-changing trends in the fashion industry. B. Sc. in Fashion Design is the study of creating designs that involve the conversion of artistic talent and creativity into creating saleable products like clothing, textiles, jewelry, footwear, and other accessories. The course also includes a detailed study of the fragile market trends and related fashion behavior.

BSc Fashion design and technology: Sc. in Fashion Technology is a full-time, 3-year long undergraduate course, designed for interested students having a Senior Secondary (10+2) qualification and interest in learning about the fashion industry on an advanced level.

A Fashion design: MA Fashion Design is a two-year postgraduate program, designed for aspirants to gain in-depth knowledge about the world of fashion and explore its economic, ethical, social, ecological, and cultural aspects.
