Questions Answered....
With multiple stories under her belt @dimples33 truly has something for everyone. From the priesthood hotness of Rick in Sin to the gorgeous princess Michonne in Something New and a whole host of others in between, you won't be disappointed reading through her story list.
Let's find out how it all started and what she has in store for the future.
Why is Richonne so fun to write about?
âRichonne is so fun to write about because they are the first and only TV couple that Iâve been so invested in. I had never heard of âshippingâ before that but when I got familiar with the term no other TV couple came close to their unique dynamic. Michonne is the Ying to Rickâs Yang. She is able to reach Rick even in his murderous mode and can talk him down from any cliff while Rick seeks Michonneâs counsel and approval when he has to make critical decisions and listens to her. I watch a lot of TV shows and I have yet to see that kind of energy with any other TV couple.â
Do you have a writing schedule?
âBecause of my heavy workload during the week I tend to write/update and possible try to post on weekends. If Iâm not satisfied with my writing progress on weekends I will try to squeeze in a couple hours at night before bed. However, when I actually have a schedule I never follow it. Lol!!!â
What is your editing process?
âWrite, read, edit, put down for a couple days, re-read, edit and put down for a couple days again. When I feel flustered one of my cousins who like my stories reads them and helps me edit as well.â
What drew you to fanfiction?
âItâs more like who for me and itâs one wordâŚ.severelybabykryptonite. I was randomly searching the internet when I came across the story âThe Sweetest Thangâ by @severelybabykryptonite aka SBK. It was such a beautiful love story. I followed the link to fanfiction.net. I will never forget that day â May 2nd 2016. That day changed me. I have been writing stories since I was a child but never even entertained the thought of actually putting it out there for anyone to read. My family didnât even know that I wrote in my spare time. That day means everything to me. Thank you SBK.â
What has writing fanfiction taught you about being a writer?
âThat I should believe in myself more. I was terrified when I posted the first chapter to my first fanfiction TWD Chronicles and almost got a heart attack when the first review came in just an hours later. The more I post chapters and the more reviews came in, my confidence grew. I realized that I do have something to offer however small it is.â
Who outside the fandom knows you write fanfiction?
âExactly four people â my cousin who helps me edit sometimes, my niece, a former law classmate and her sister.â
How many people know youâre a writer?
âOne person â my cousin who helps me edit. I donât get many opportunities to talk about my writing unfortunately.â
Where do you see your writing taking you?
âFor now, itâs for my own pleasure but hopefully in the near future to write full time. Having one of my stories turned into a Netflix series or Hollywood movie would be nice.â
Do you have advice for writers just starting out?
âI follow four simple principles - i) Always put your best foot forward in everything you do, ii) Donât try to please everyone because itâs not physically, mentally or emotionally possible, iii) Be respectful and most importantly, iv) Just do you and be yourself.â
What do you wish you knew before posting your first chapter?
âOMG!! The editing process!! I wish I knew more about the editing. It would have made things a lot easier.â
How many writing playlist do you have? Does your music have to change with what you write?
âI donât have a playlist and I usually donât listen to music when I write. Most times Iâm sitting on the floor in the living room with the TV on in the background or Iâm on the bed with my cat purring and massaging my back!! Lolâ
How many projects do you have going on right now?
âI have 9 fanfiction stories, some of which needs updating like asap. As for original works, I have several. However, right now I am focusing mainly on three which I hope to launch on my website next year. Iâm working eagerly towards that goal. My fingers and toes are crossed.â
Have you ever written a scene that made you cry?
âThe scene in my story Mirror when Michonne was running down the street barefoot behind the van that kidnapped her daughter broke me. I remember writing and my chest was constricting and my hands were trembling. I needed some time off after writing that chapter. Then in Journey when those racist pricks threw garbage on Michonne when Rick was buying her ice-cream, I cried. That was hard to write.â
Where do you get your best story ideas?
âI know this might sound crazy and sometime I think I am but I see stories everywhere. I see stories sitting in the bus, walking down the street, or just gazing at the trees. I got a few ideas in the bathroom and sometimes in the middle of the night. I would jump up and write them down before I forget.â
Do you have a solution for when youâre stuck?
âWhen I get stuck I just stop writing for a few weeks if necessary. I donât try to force the creative process. I personally can only write for three days or so at a time producing three or four chapters before spacing out. Or sometimes I will pull a fierce 24 hours stretch of non-stop writing then stop. I donât want to overload myself. It happened to me before and itâs not a nice feelingâ
What does WTOWW mean to you?
âWTOWW means the world to me. @msjrichonne actively sought me out and extended an invitation to me to join the group. She was persistent and Iâm having no regrets accepting. I got to meet heavy weight writers like Siancore, @foxissofoxy and @sophiasown just to name a few. Iâve never been part of a group like this and quite frankly, Iâm honoured to be just in.â
Thank you Dimples for sharing some insight about you as a writer.

Questions and Answers...
When it comes to Richonne goodness, there are few as good as @nyese3529. She could be described as a quiet storm in the world of Fanfiction. From wonderfully told tales of historical Richonne in Montana, to a modern day Richonne in Brooklyn, plus an assortment of other stories in between; @nyese3529 always has her readers devouring her stories and wanting more even before we finish the chapter.
We canât know all of her secrets to being such an amazing writer, but hopefully this Q&A will help us to see how she got to be one of our favorites in the Fanfiction world. Â
Why is Richonne so fun to write?
âWriting for this couple has been interesting. Like most fanfictions, youâre able to take canon characters to new landscapes or places in alternate universes(au), or keep things canon(strictly or loosely)and legit do a better job at writing the characters in their world than the show writers ever have.
Do you have a writing schedule?Â
âVery much no. Lol. I used to do a lot of late night writing, then my work/school schedule changed so I do it when I can. When I finally sit down and write, it could be just a paragraph I get out or a whole 5000 word chapter. Just depends on my mood.â
What is your editing process?Â
âI write in layers. A very rough first draft, maybe with dialogue and small gestures. Then, Iâll re-read and add on to the story for its dramatic color, check punctuation and grammar. It takes me just as long to edit than it does to write.â
What drew you to fanfiction?Â
âIâve liked fanfiction since I was a teen(Mulder and Scully, thanks for my teen obsessions). I read a lot, and have always liked going to other worlds. I used to dream up scenarios for my life that are so fairytale-like and they never happen. I found that fanfiction is never disappointing because you want your OTPâs to be endgame(at least I do). Also sex, I like to write them having sex. Lots of sexâŚ.kisses too. Lol.â
What has writing fanfiction taught you about being a writer?Â
âThat Iâm not perfect. Also, that there is a humbleness to putting yourself out there to receive reviews that are spectacular or extremely critical, or that youâll get few or  none at all. And not receiving reviews does not equate to being a good writer. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS! The actual Views I receive mean more to me, cause they let me know people are reading.â
Who outside the fandom knows you write fanfiction?Â
âLots of people know, but they have never read anything. I remember with my first few  stories I was so happy to get my reviews, Iâd show them to my mom or sisters.â
How many people know you're a writer?Â
âMy family knows that I write, but I have never given them anything to read.â
Where do you see your writing taking you?
âIâve seen Iâve had readers from France, Spain, Brazil, China, Canada...etc and Iâm like, âthese wonderful people in other countries are reading my stories?â So, it can take me lots of places...where exactly itâll take me, Iâm not sure. Iâve had many people suggest to me on ff.net and Tumblr to try and publish some things, but Iâm not sure where to even start with that. I do love writing, though. Whether it puts me on the map or not, Iâll wait and see."
Do you have advice for writers just starting out?
âYes. Donât be afraid to seek help. I remembering putting out two stories originally, and having 20 reviews for each one. I reached out to Siacore to ask what could I do to get more viewers/reviews. She told me it takes time to build a base, plus a lot of other things that I still remember to this day. So Iâll say, keep writing...especially for yourself and then for your readers. And always be happy that you had the courage to put yourself out there to be reviewed. Not many people can do what you do. Writing is a trying and time consuming process that is done literally to please and for not a penny more.â
What do you wish you knew before posting your first chapter?
âHow to work ff.net. It was hard for my computer challenged butt to understand. Lol. Also, that the nerves and anxiety you experience before posting a chapter will NEVER go away.â
How many writing playlists do you have? Does your music have to change with what you write?
âI donât have âplaylists.â I might listen to a song and think itâs perfect to write a story around. Or, Iâll hear an old tune and think thatâs what my Rick and Michonne are going through right now. So Iâll listen to a song on repeat endlessly. If the mood is sad, Iâll find the saddest song to listen to. A sexy song for sexy times and so on. But, I do have to listen to music often for inspiration.â
How many projects do you have going on right now? One major W.I.P. Yâall might have heard of a little story called âThe Musings of Rick Grimes.â After I finally finish that, I think I still may churn out stories. Iâve made a few promises to people I have to keep.
Have you ever written a scene thatâs made you cry?
âYes. Every story Iâve written has made me shed a tear or two. A scene from Musings, which was similar to my life, did that. A scene from Blue Skies had me balling like a baby, and a scene from my Levees story(well a few from there)really had me crying.â
Where do you get your best story ideas?
âReal life historical events. My love for romance. My love for suspense. Stuff from canon Richonne and TWD. And the rest is stuff from my own personal life. I try to weave all of them together to get a great story. Itâs worked out so far...I think.â
Do you have a solution for when youâre stuck?
âNot gonna lie. I have had major blocks with writing and I wanted to give up. I didnât realize just how supportive the fandom is as a whole. And when I needed support for my personal life stuff, this fandom was right here. And when I got better and felt like my writing wasnât the same, you guys have told me that it is. Do I have a method that best works, not really, but I write for me and when Iâm ready, I write for yâall.â
What does WTOWW mean to you?
âLike Iâve said before, itâs important to get help from other writers. To have support. The network taught me that we are all real people, with real lives and goals and dreams. There is a sisterhood there that always puts a smile on my face and makes the other writers much more relatable. The inclusivity and our diversity is what makes it the best experience.â
Thank you @nyese3529 for allowing your readers a little more insight to your inner workings. Â

Our love affair with Richonne has been brewing for many years way before the sexy couch scene that set our hearts aflame. We have had many writers who have been gracing us with Richonne goodies since Michonne made her first on-screen appearance in Season 3.
WTOWW want to acquaint or reacquaint you with one of the original veteran Richonne writers⌠@siancore. This international goddess from down under has been writing about our favorite couple since 2014. Â
She has tantalized us with many⌠oh so many favorite Richonne stories from Canon to AU.
The most favorite amongst the WTOWW group and we are sure for many other readers is Sous Couverture. We seem to have a deep love and appreciation for Crime Boss Rick and FBI agent Michonne.
@siancore is a multifaceted individual. She is driven by many passions in this world. From Aboriginal/ Indigenous causes to exploring the complexities of languages from around the world. WTOWW invites you to come and learn more about this wonderful writer and mentor for our group and numerous others.
Why is Richonne so fun to write?
âTheir characters are so interesting to me, and they complement one another so well. I am Rick Grimes trash. I have always liked how Michonne treated Rick with respect, even when they didnât see eye-to-eye. No one else from Team Family 100% backed Rick, or tried to always understand where he was coming from; Michonne did. She understood why he did the things he did. She helped him be a better leader. And he brought her back *sighs* Rick looks at Michonne the way I do, with all the love and reverence and adoration. I enjoy their dynamic. I like how, right from the moment they met at the fence, I just knew theyâd be an iconic pair. They really are perfect for one another, and thatâs golden to me. â
Do you have a writing schedule?
âI try to write every day, but usually add to my stories each week. It gets hard when life gets in the way, but I generally try to get something down. I mainly update stories that my readers are following. Whichever is receiving the most feedback is usually at the top of my updating list.â
What is your editing process?
âWrite; proofread; amend; proofread; revise; proofread; second-guess myself; proofread; then post.â
What drew you to fanfiction?
âStories about characters I love; stories that went outside the scope of the source material. Itâs a place where our imaginations can run wild. I was also drawn to the fact that fans, just like me, were out there producing content about our favourite characters and worlds.â
What has writing fanfiction taught you about being a writer?
âTo be open to criticism and to at least try to learn from it. Even if it isnât conducive to my writing, it might help me in other ways.â
Who outside of the fandom knows you write fanfiction?
âMy best friend and sisters. I am a private person. I mean, I am open to those I let in, but I donât talk about what I am doing with many people. If someone asked, I would tell them, but I donât usually like people knowing my business.â
How many people know youâre a writer?
âAgain, mainly people close to me, and those in my writers group. A couple of people at work.â
Where do you see your writing taking you?
âI honestly see it as a really fun hobby right now. I wish I had the time and energy to work at getting published, but my day job is very demanding. Ultimately, I just want to keep writing and sharing stories. But in the future, Iâd like to write my PhD on something fandom-related. Something such as exploring online fandom communities.â
Do you have advice for writers just starting out?
âWrite! Write! Write! Practice makes perfect. Read a lot, as well. Read books; short stories; other fanfiction. Back yourself i.e. believe in yourself and your talents. And promote yourself! Get your work out there for people to see.â
What do you wish you knew before posting your first chapter?
âHow to tag and promote my work properly. Way back when, I produced a couple of stories for another fandom that I posted, but they werenât tagged appropriately, so I didnât get any feedback. Receiving no feedback discouraged me, so I didnât write again for a few years. I wish I knew how to promote my work better.â
How many writing playlists do you have? Does music have to change with what you write?
âI have 1 playlist that a Dear Reader, lascuevasdeyo compiled for my story, Sous Couverture. I listen to it to get in a dark mood to write this particular DarkFic.â
How many projects do you have going on right now?
âShhhh too many! Seriously, I do add to all of my current fics, some are just more of a priority than others. But yeah, I do have a few ongoing projects.â
Have you ever written a scene thatâs made you cry?
âYes, so many scenes. I am really emotionally invested in my stories. Thereâs this one-shot I posted, which is actually part of a larger series I have never shared. The entire story just makes me cry, so much so that I have had it completed for a couple of years now, and never shared more than the one-shot.â
Where do you get your best story ideas?
âInspiration comes from everywhere for me, but song lyrics are a favourite of mine. I also like talking to shipmates about our OTP and ideas flow from there.â
Do you have a solution for when youâre stuck?
âI go back to the drawing board, as they say. I go over my outline and do some brainstorming. If Iâm stuck, I go back and look at what I have already done. There I can find the motivation to keep going. Also, re-reading positive reviews helps.â
What does WTOWW mean to you?
âThis group of writers and this blog means the world to me. For a long time, I was part of fandom, but kind of on my own for various reasons. I have friends here, but I wasnât part of any particular groups, as it occurs in all fandoms. I am with everyone. After my mother passed away earlier this year, I found comfort and patience in this group. I wasnât in a good place, but every day in between then and now has been made better because I am part of this group. Even when I was hurting and lashing out in the fandom, these ladies stuck by me; were patient and understanding with me. Allowed me time and space to just be without the pressures that come with being a creative person in fandom. They supported me and that means everything.â
Thank you @siancore for taking the time out of your busy schedule to give your readers a little more insight into who you are.Â

Getting to know you....
We at WTOWW have got a real treat for all of our faithful readers! Â We have a fun and exciting series that we're excited to debut today!
Want to know what's your favorite writers process for cranking out these engaging stories? Want to know how they build such realistic worlds and impressive dialogue?
Well now you can as we asked our talented spectrum of writers a few questions that will help you get to know them better.
These ladies really put in the work to bring you the stories we all love to obsess over and WTOWW are very happy we took the time to get to know them so much better!
First up we have @jonesywritesâ aka Kendra. She is a heavy hitter and a permanent marker in the Richonne Fanfiction hall of fame for her pieces like Bad Thangs, Â Machine Heart and Vantage Point and a host of other great stories that are not limited to only the Richonne Fandom. Her talent for world building is really unmatched, it was fun getting to pick her brain.
So take a few moments to relax, let's get to know Kendra a little better.
Why is Richonne so fun to write?
âI'm a huge romantic. Richonne's chemistry has always been so intense on screen, which is exactly what drew me to them. Exploring that chemistry in my writing is a total thrill because so much of my writing relies on details that the actors give me in abundance. Getting those details right (true to what you see on screen) makes me sooo happy as a writer.â
Do you have a writing schedule?Â
âHa! I wish I did. I'm all over the place. It's hard to find the time to really dive in, so I'm stuck writing a paragraph here or there during the work week. I try to devote at least one day or a few hours on the weekends, but there's always so much to do, so I can only really update every now and then. It's a miracle if I can get back to back updates done.â
What is your editing process?
â I will rewrite something a hundred times until I feel it captures what I want to convey perfectly. It takes me a long time to finish an update because I'm constantly going back to re-read it and edit it as I write.â
What drew you to fanfiction?
âI've been a writer since I was a little girl, but when it came to the stories I watched or read, I was always thinking of the characters I liked doing things that had nothing to do with the original plot. Scenes would come like visions in my head while going about my day or trying to sleep. Someone told me about fanfiction when I was in college and I decided to just go for it. Been hooked ever since.â
What has writing fanfiction taught you about being a writer?
âIt has taught me humility, not to compare myself to others (to find my own unique voice and stay true to it), and it has helped me better understand my strengths and weaknesses as a storyteller. I move at my own pace but in my opinion taking time to focus on the things that make me a happy reader makes me a better writer.â
Who outside the fandom knows you write fanfiction?Â
âNot many people. Close friends. It's still not something people take seriously within the circles I work in. Being a copywriter, living in Hollywood trying to become a television writer, you just don't admit to writing fanfiction. At least not unless you intend to make a big joke out of it and get major side-eye for your trouble. ::shrug:: So I don't talk about it.â
How many people know you're a writer?Â
âEveryone I meet. I write for work, and I network a lot with folks out here trying to do what I am trying to do -- get into a television writer's room. It's an intrinsic part of me that I will always lead with. "Hello, my name is Kendra and I am a writer."
Where do you see your writing taking you?Â
âHopefully to creating my own shows or finally finishing my first book. Time will tell.â
Do you have advice for writers just starting out?
âDon't give up. Find your voice and stay true to it. Don't compare yourself to others, it's a waste of time. Their voice is not yours. People want to read what you have to say, specifically you. Only you can say it your way, so find your way and go for it. Ask questions, lots of questions, of other writers because we're a community and we want to see each other succeed. Tell the story you want to read, not the story everyone else thinks you should tell.â
What do you wish you knew before posting your first chapter?
âI wish that I knew how to manage my time better. Heh.â
How many writing playlists do you have? Does your music have to change with what you write?
â I make a playlist for every story I write that encapsulates that story's mood/world. I've been doing this for years, there's no other way for me. I must have music to write to and I must share it with my readers. Everything I publish was written to a musical score. They're all available on Spotify, too. Just look for the title of the fic or my user name, kendrawriter.â
How many projects do you have going on right now?
â I have quite a few, it's all a jumble. Four open Richonne fics, one open WestAllen fic, a tv script and the tentative start to a young adult novel. Ehhhhhhh....I know. I know.â
Have you ever written a scene thatâs made you cry?Â
âOnce, in my first Doctor Who fic, Nightfall. An original character in that story that I based off of my grandmother died in the story. My grandma was very ill at the time and we feared the worst (she passed away a couple of year ago). Writing her death scene was tough. To this day I'm not sure why I did that to myself, but at the time it made sense for the drama of the plot.â
Where do you get your best story ideas?
âI take inspiration from literally everything. My best ideas have come from me just really wanting to see something and obsessing over how to write it until it's in the story. But I base a lot of things off movie or TV references from all the many, many I've watched since childhood. Machine Heart, for example, blends about 100 references from all my favorite sc-fi stuff -- Star Trek, Aliens, Black Mirror, Terminator, The Matrix, Strange Days, The Fifth Element, the list goes on...â
Do you have a solution for when youâre stuck?Â
âJust let it pass. It happens all the time, and over the years I've learned to just let it happen until I'm inspired again. Because once I'm inspired again, I go into THE ZONE and I'll write like crazy for days on end.â
What does WTOWW mean to you?
â It's a community for me. It's full of really amazing, kind, funny, smart, talented women that I'm beyond grateful to know. Also, it's an opportunity to give less known writers a platform, and dive into some great writing prompts I otherwise wouldn't think of.â
Thank you Kendra for taking the time to share your story.Â

Questions Answered....
In this huge Richonne fandom of awesome fans and writers. Hiding amongst us are actual published writers. Yeah, thatâs right authors who have taken the leap and published original work. WTOWW is lucky to have on our writing team @yellehughes who is one of our many published writers. This quiet thunderstorm is always in the background working on something new. Be it Greek Richonne Mythical Gods or making us laugh at the antics of the ASZ Plasma Center. Her writing is different which sets her apart from the crowd. Her stories catch your attention right from the start.
So sit back and learn more about @yellehughes.
Why is Richonne so fun to write?
âBecause Rick is a badass and Michonne can take it.â
Do you have a writing schedule?
âI wish I did, but no.â
What is your editing process?
âNeurotic, obsessive, impatient, then on to say fuck it.â
What drew you to fanfiction?
âBecause AMC is some stingy ass motherfuckers and it was awesome to see what other writers could do.â
What has writing fanfiction taught you about being a writer?
âThat I have bigger issues than I thought.â
Who outside the fandom knows you write fanfiction?
âMy momma, my kids (they donât care) and people who see my tweets.â
How many people know you're a writer?
âImmediate family, my ex (he doesnât care either) and some family friends.â
Where do you see your writing taking you?
âIâm hoping for some closure to this TWD debacle so I can get back to my Greek Gods. Theyâve been waiting for me.â
Do you have advice for writers just starting out?
âWrite what you want to write, write how you want to write and donât let anyone tell you otherwise unless itâs some illegal shit.â
What do you wish you knew before posting your first chapter?
âThat I need to be patient and post my chapters on a regular schedule. Still havenât done it right yet, but Iâm getting there.â
How many writing playlists do you have? Does your music have to change with what you write?
â When I write Richonne or TWD family dialog, I put on my TWD fanmade video playlist, so I can keep their character traits at the forefront. For sex scenes, I play porn in the background, haha just kidding, I put on 90âs R&B love music. For fight scenes, I put on my Gaming Music fanmade music or I just watch a Bruce Lee movie.â
How many projects do you have going on right now? Â
âI finally put out a one-shot I was working on and now I have two unfinished WIPâs and I still donât know what to do with them.â
Have you ever written a scene thatâs made you cry?
âHell yeah, when Michonne found out Andre was alive. I tore myself up.â
Where do you get your best story ideas?
"My life and my obsession with Greek Mythology."
Do you have a solution for when youâre stuck?
âGo to sleep.â
What does WTOWW mean to you?
âWomen That Owe Women War?  Just kidding. Lol, sorry. I know what it stands for. âWeâre The Ones Who Writeâ. I was just being dumb. What it means to me, is that I am not alone in this unfamiliar and sort of scary world of writing and publishing.  It brings a sense of comrade, friendship and shared experiences. Being a part of this group allows me to air out my insecurities and doubts to like-minded individuals and that helps me navigate through any hiccups, blocks, or just downright scared shitless to move forward and strive to improve my work and my art. That's what it means to me in a nutshell. P.S. I love putting Rick and Michonne in different scenarios that are funny to me, which in turn, I hope is funny for my readers.â
Thank you @yellehughes for taking the time to share a little inside information about yourself.

Questions and Answers...
When it comes to Richonne Fanfiction, @richonnelvr218 or MsWriterTee (her fanfic name) is relatively new to the game, but she quickly hooked us with her humor in Dem Jeans, writing about what we all wanted to do to Rickâs well worn denim. If that wasnât enough, she also has us all insatiable for The Moment. A story that makes us believe in a force stronger than love and although hearts get broken, sometimes we are hopeless to fight against it. One of the nicest that there is, letâs hope this Q&A gives us a glimpse into what makes her so fantastic.
Why is Richonne so fun to write?
âRichonne is so fun to write because their love is so beautiful. Â Â Angst, fluff, comedy, drama, or a wonderful mix, you can't go wrong with Richonne's love as the center. Their strength, sexiness, and badassery is everything.â
Do you have a writing schedule?
âI wish. Â Â I write every day, but never the same time. Â Â Whenever I can grab time to string together some sentences, that's when I do it.â
What is your editing process?
âMy editing process involves lots of rereading and reading aloud. Â Â I tend to add words that aren't there and repeat phrases because my brain is working so fast, so reading aloud helps with that. Â Â I like to wait several hours after finishing my writing to have fresh eyes on the content.â
What drew you to fanfiction?
âThe amazing thrill of being able to change storylines that you hated.   I discovered fanfiction in the early 90s and it changed my whole life! I'd never heard of such a thing, but when I did it was like Christmas.   Now, every chapter I write is like a present to myself that I get to share with others who wanted the exact same thing.â
What has writing fanfiction taught you about being a writer?
âThat there's always more to learn.â
Who outside the fandom knows you write fanfiction?
â I honestly don't know.â
How many people know you're a writer?
âEverybody who knows me knows that I write.â
Where do you see your writing taking you?
âBeyond my wildest dreams.â
Do you have advice for writers just starting out?
âI have the same advice everyone gives: write.   The more you write, the more you want to, and the better at it you'll become.   And that's how you'll find your voice. Your unique style.â
What do you wish you knew before posting your first chapter?
âI wish I knew just how much I didn't know. Â Growth is a wonderful thing.â
How many writing playlists do you have? Does your music have to change with what you write?
âNone, strangely enough. Â Â Sometimes I'll hear a song that might spark an idea, but I don't have specific songs or genres that inspire me creatively.â
How many projects do you have going on right now?
"At the moment, just 'The Moment.' "
Have you ever written a scene thatâs made you cry?
âYes.  My 'Bridge to Forever' about Carl's death gutted me, but I had to grieve Carl.   Heck, I'm still grieving Carl.  I will never understand that foolish decision by TPTB.â
Where do you get your best story ideas?
âI get my best ideas from things I've seen and experienced that come to mind when I'm in a quiet place.   I get lots of ideas when I'm driving or right before I go to sleep.  I keep mini notepads around for that very reason.â Â
Do you have a solution for when youâre stuck?
âYes.  I take a step back and focus on something else.  Play a game or two of Candy Crush or Soda Crush. It works wonders.â
What does WTOWW mean to you?
âWTOWW means so many things to me. Â Â The talent of this amazing group of women is inspiring. Â I can't say enough about the level of skill, passion, drive, and creativity they bring. Â Writing can be daunting, and having like-minded individuals with whom to share with and draw from is truly a gift. Â Â Â I am honored to be among the number.â

Questions Answered...
@nwfan is next on deck for our writer interviews. She started out as one of our favorite reviewers and then quickly became one of our favorite writers, with her debut Richonne fic, The Season of Light. Her writing amazed us all and had us on the edge of our seats, going through countless emotions with every chapter. She even made us like Spencer, which is unheard of in Richonne fanfiction. Although she only has one multi chapter fic at the time, she has a few Carchonne prompts, some Quick and Dirty shorts and a WTOWW collaboration under her belt also. Without further ado, let's get to know what makes @nwfanâ so great.
Why is Richonne so fun to write?
âI'd like to quote AL on this one: Because it feels like a "grown-up" relationship. I know there are lots of "young Richonne" stories, but even in those ones, writers tend to do a good job of making them feel real and relatable. I think that's why they're so fun to write about. They feel like they could be people you know, or you see pieces of yourself in these characters.â
Do you have a writing schedule?
âI try (hard emphasis on try) to write every day, even if it's just 100 words. Work and life often get in the way, so lately, I've found myself writing in massive spurts. I'll block out a few hours just to do it. I'm easily distracted though.â
What is your editing process?
âSo atrocious that it often makes me want to cry. I write like I talk, which is A LOT. It is daunting to edit 9k+ words. I guess it's good to have more to delete vs more to add sometimes, but I hate rereading my stuff, so for me, the editing process has become waterboard-level torture. I wish I was exaggerating, but I am not. I keep promising myself to do better, but I have 2 prompts that have been done for weeks aside from the edits, so... *shrug*â
What drew you to fanfiction?
âLooking for Richonne content online led me to Tumblr, which led me to discovering fan fiction ~November 2016. I had no idea such a thing even existed. At the start, I was so desperate for content that I read EVERYTHING. Now, I'm a bit more choosy, but it's really hard because there is so much talent in this fandom. I can name 30 writers who I would absolutely read their original work. They're that good!â
What has writing fanfiction taught you about being a writer?
âAlthough I have a literature degree, I work in a technical field and haven't done any creative writing in over 20 years. But, I've always had a lot of story ideas running around in my head, even when I wasn't writing. Fanfiction has taught me to dig a bit deeper, especially into a character's motivations. Figuring out a character's backstory has become some of my favor parts of writing. I think people what to know/understand the "why" when they read, so it's a fun space to explore.â
Who outside the fandom knows you write fanfiction?
âMmmmmm. No one. My husband knows I write, but he doesn't know exactly what. I've actually told him, but he does not understand fan fiction and gets a bit confused. He knows I'm in forums about The Walking Dead, so he knows it's scifi/zombie stuff, but not that I'm building stories around TWD characters.
He even knows all about the lovely ladies of WTOWW whom I chat with and has read some of my one-shots (he's not a big reader). He likes the stories because he likes sci fi, but doesn't know the characters.â
How many people know you're a writer?
âFriends and family know I'm doing some creative writing now. I also put it with some close friends at work.â
Where do you see your writing taking you?
âI'm not sure, but I'm having a really good time figuring it out!â
Do you have advice for writers just starting out?
âRead, read, read. I think most writers are people who love the written word and tend be obsessive readers. I thinking reading makes you a better writer. 2. Don't be afraid to just put something on paper. No judgement. Just play around. 3. Focus on something you find interesting or want to explore more. 4. Find your own style and voice. 5. You might be someone who writes a detailed 5 page outline before getting started, or someone who just starts writing without a clear direction. It's all part of the journey.â
What do you wish you knew before posting your first chapter?
âThe pressure and expectations that comes afterwards. I'm so afraid of disappointing anyone that takes the time to read what I've written that it can become a bit paralyzing. I'm trying to work my way through it, but it can be scary.â
How many writing playlists do you have? Does your music have to change with what you write?
âI've recently gotten into using music to create a specific mood or them in a chapter. It's fun and allows me to draw a bit outside the lines. I don't have any playlists though.â
How many projects do you have going on right now?
â3 multi-chapters in various stages of completion (almost done - 3 more chapters, half done, just started), 2 prompts, and a one-shot that's related to one of my multi-chapter works.â
Have you ever written a scene thatâs made you cry?
âI cry reading stories all the time, but I don't cry writing/re-reading my work. I have gotten very, very sad while editing certain chapters of my current main work. In general, Carchonne scenes are some of my favorite to write, so when it gets sad/heavy with them, I get pretty bummed.â
Where do you get your best story ideas?
âWhen I randomly wake up in the middle of the night, which is why my phone is on my side table and I usually have google docs or notes open. Also, when I'm in the shower (I'll try to keep repeating the thought until I'm done so I don't forget), and when I'm driving to work.â
Do you have a solution for when youâre stuck?
âI just start writing sentences, even if I think they're crap, just to get my fingers to move. At some point, things start clicking and I get back into the rhythm.â
What does WTOWW mean to you?
âJust the most talented, supportive, awesome group of ladies I've ever met! I'm so lucky to have found y'all and grateful you let me hang. Thank you! :)â
Thank you @nwfan for taking the time out to share your story

Awesome @yellehughes

What drew you to fanfiction?
âBecause AMC is some stingy ass motherfuckers and it was awesome to see what other writers could do.â

âThat I have bigger issues than I thought.â
Who outside the fandom knows you write fanfiction?
âMy momma, my kids (they donât care) and people who see my tweets.â
How many people know youâre a writer?
âImmediate family, my ex (he doesnât care either) and some family friends.â

âIâm hoping for some closure to this TWD debacle so I can get back to my Greek Gods. Theyâve been waiting for me.â

Where do you get your best story ideas?
âMy life and my obsession with Greek Mythology.â
Thatâs what it means to me in a nutshell. P.S. I love putting Rick and Michonne in different scenarios that are funny to me, which in turn, I hope is funny for my readers.â
