SLBP 3rd Anni Kiyohiro story

That’s right, Ieyasu’s dark haired ninja, Kiyohiro. And it turns out that he is PRECIOUS AND ROMANTIC IN A CUTE WAY LOL.

To be honest I don’t know what’s the deal with his identity (perhaps an alias? Hattori Hanzo’s ninja? Retconning? Generic NPC sprite syndrome?). You may have seen him as Hanzo in Ieyasu’s stories in the English app.

Story summary:

The ground is covered in snow. MC is walking back home from her tasks. Ieyasu told her to take a more obscure route on her return. Curiously, she spots Kiyohiro alone on said path. She notes how rare it is to see him, and especially not with Ieyasu. MC walks up and they greet each other. MC notices him staring at a snowman. She asks him if he built it.

He says “I didn’t. When I was returning to Hamamatsu, I saw this strange dango figure. It’s covered in clothing and stabbed with tree branches. I am not sure if this dango was meant to be a landmark of some sort. I was thinking about reporting this to Ieyasu.”

MC’s like wtf dango? She thinks to herself that Iga village children must not play with snow. MC explains to him that it is not a dango, but a “daruma made of snow.” She starts building her own tiny snowman and explaining as Kiyohiro stands there incredibly embarrassed (awww).

She looks at her snowman and thinks “hmm it needs a face so that it will really look like a snowman.” She spots a few pebbles and twigs and grabs them. MC tells Kiyohiro “here, you make the face!” Kiyohiro is surprised but he complies (very awkwardly lol). He picks a twig and uses it as the mouth.

MC really likes it. She tells him “you made it look so cute!” Kiyohiro is surprised and MC continues saying “Just looking [at it] makes me feel good.”

Kiyohiro looks at the snowman for a bit… then he looks at MC and smiles. He tells her “your nose is red.”

Embarrassed and surprised, MC lifts her hand to cover her nose but Kiyohiro grabs her hand (!). He quotes her “‘Just looking makes me feel good.’” (!!!)

Kiyohiro continues and says “you are the one who is cute.” (!!!!!!!!!)

Kiyohiro says they should go soon since it’s about to snow and they start walking back. MC notes that their hands are still connected, and that they should be cold but she feels really warm. She wonders what Kiyohiro thinks of it. She looks at him walking ahead of her and notes how red his ears are.

He would have a girl! (of course) 

He has been freaked out since you told him you were pregnant and it definitely doesn’t stop after the baby comes

Has no idea wtf he is doing, and honestly for a long time was even afraid of holding the baby out of fear that he might do something wrong

He tried to change her diaper once and got confused and couldn’t figure it out so he just gave up

Even after showing him step by step multiple times, you still have days you come home to a naked baby and Yasumasa just scowling 

“What? She kept wriggling and I couldn’t get the damned thing on her, okay?”

Lots of frustrated scowling when she starts fussing and he can’t calm her, he’ll get anxious and try and hand her back off to you 

“She won’t stop. She doesn’t like me…here– do something…” 

He’s much more comfortable watching you with the baby

And he has to admit he really enjoys seeing you as a mother 

But at night he wakes up every now and then to take a peek at her and make sure she’s alright. And he smiles 

The first time she giggled while he held her, his eyes lit up and his mouth hung open in a mixture of astonishment and amazement and wonder 

Of course, he thought it was the most adorable damn thing and kept trying to make her giggle a bunch after that and got frustrated when she didn’t, his brow furrowing

“Come on laugh for daddy, you did it last time! What the hell-”

“Yasumasa!”

“Well, why won’t she laugh? I’m not doing anything differently, damn it” 

Enjoys holding her most after he’s done training. You usually use that time to get chores done or go out shopping and more times than you can count you’ve come back to find them both passed out, her sleeping soundlessly, cradled in his arms

He also really likes feeding her. 

“What?! You still want more?? How the hell can something so tiny eat so much. You get that from your mom.”

He likes to show her off to the rest of the retainers when they come to visit 

“She kinda looks like you,” Tadakatsu smiles 

“Of course she does, idiot,” Yasumasa sneers 

“:0 So cute…” Toramatsu says warmly

Overprotective dad!!! 

His worst nightmare is his kid being mobile. He really freaks out if she crawls too close to the veranda, or eats too quickly, or tries to walk and falls. Sometimes you have to step in and remind him to let her be, that kids get hurt sometimes and that’s okay. And then he just sulks about it

Likes to spike up her hair and mess with it when he bathes her, he thinks it's hilarious and he’ll laugh so hard at her there will be tears in his eyes 

The older she gets the more comfortable he gets with her 

Still overprotective though 

He protests if she tries to waddle out to watch him while he spars, he doesn’t want to risk the chance that she might get hurt 

Likes to sit her on his shoulders and walk around the town. He loves to spoil her, picking up sweets and toys on their walks (but they race to finish all of the sweets before getting home so they don’t get scolded for ruining their dinner) 

When she gets old enough to start playing with other kids, if she comes home with scrapes or cuts he goes from 0-100 wanting to find out who hurt his daughter. Everyone has learned to fear Yasumasa’s wrath lol 

When she gets sick he goes crazy trying everything to make her feel better. He’ll feed her, change out her cool cloth frequently, and sit by her bed reading books until she falls asleep. He’ll look at you with a pitiful face of worry until her fever finally breaks 

She loves to ride horses and Yasumasa was super against it (because women shouldn’t be riding like that and she could get injured and wouldn’t she like it better learning the kitchen from her mother??) until she begged and pleaded to let her learn or at least spend time with them... and he couldn’t say no to that 

It’s something they do together often, and it’s helped strengthen their relationship as she grew. He thinks she is really quite good and he never really gave any thought to horses--seeing them as anything more than just a means to get where you’re going/carry things, she really opened his eyes 

They have a few special spots they race around on horseback to before stopping and viewing the scenery and having snacks together

The boys are afraid to express interest in her because they’re terrified of Yasumasa 

Because his daughter is the smartest, most beautiful and precious being in this world and he would sooner die than see some POS try to court her lol he has chased more than a few of them off or threatened to kill them 

She is impulsive like he is, and he loves and hates that about his daughter. Part of him admires her headstrong nature but he gets frustrated when she doesn’t do as he says. Their squabbles escalate to fights with raised voices until they both storm off in opposite directions. A lot of times after they’ve both cooled off they’ll make up on their own, but sometimes you have to intervene and play peacekeeper 

Really strict, and if she doesn’t help out around the house or keep up with her studies he is putting the smackdown on her. Lots of tedious chores piled for her like he’ll make her clean and polish his armor and swords and scrub floors

But a lot of the time, he can’t stand to think she is mad at him, so he ends up caving and picking up her favorite dessert or snack as a peace offering, or inviting her to go to one of their spots so they can talk it out together

Summary:

MC and Keiji arranged to meet, but Keiji is late. MC dozes off. Finally Keiji arrives. He immediately says

“Let’s go! Hurry up or it will melt~.”

MC thinks wtf dude, you were the one who was late but you’re the one telling ME to hurry? MC scurries after him. She comments on how Keiji is always deciding where to go and doing what he wants, even on their dates.

Every time they go out, MC always asks where they’re going and Keiji tells her to guess. They have a game called “guess the destination.” If MC can guess where Keiji is taking her, he will do whatever MC wants.

MC has not won a single time. However, she keeps playing in hopes that someday she will win the game.

As MC is trying to guess where Keiji is taking her, children run past them. They chatter excitedly about how fun the Snow Festival was and how they want to go next year. MC connects the dots: Keiji said “it will melt” earlier. Ice and snow melt. The Snow Festival is on going. The Snow Festival features numerous works made of ice and snow!

Brimming with confidence, MC declares to Keiji that this time she KNOWS where he is taking her.

She tells him proudly “you are taking me to the Snow Festival!” Keiji responds

“Nope~."

MC shatters lol. She was so sure that she would win this time. Keiji ushers her to hurry up to their destination.

They arrive by the beach. MC’s only gone here in the summer, so seeing it during winter is completely new. Keiji brings her to what he wanted to show her: snowmen!

There’s one big one and one small one, where he comments that one is him and that one is her. They look horrid lmao, but they are indeed two snowmen. MC sees how red his hands are and is touched. The reason why he was so late was because he was building these.

MC takes his red hands, thinking that she will be always happy in the future if she’s with Keiji.

Ieyasu Spinning Thoughts JP Event Finale

Hurray! I know MC annoyed like 99% of people bc of her character regression, but I was okay with MC being the dynamic and flawed character here (gasp) and Ieyasu being her pillar of strength. Often Ieyasu is the troubled one that MC provides unconditional love to, so in a way it's nice to see her be the annoying one.

Finale Summary:

Ieyasu and MC argue back and forth about the hostage deal. MC finally tells Ieyasu what she's been thinking - how she feels like she is useless to him and doesn't have a place by his side. Ieyasu tells her he doesn't care about her trying to be helpful. He wants to know what she wants the most. Ieyasu refuses to hear anything else about the hostage situation.

MC leaves, lost in thought. She thought the hostage thing was the best thing to do, but now she isn't sure. MC spots a garden and decides to check it out. There she sees a familiar flower bed (!). She recalls what Ieyasu told her from the last event - that he would stay with her and they would grow the flowers together. MC's heart swells with happiness when she sees Ieyasu prepared the flower bed.

MC rushes back to Ieyasu's room. Just as she's about to open the door, Ieyasu opens it from the other side. She tackles him and they fall to the floor. MC finally tells him

"I know what I want to do. I want to stay by your side."

As she's talking she starts to cry, tear drops falling on Ieyasu's cheeks. As she's crying, Ieyasu tells her to not think of herself in terms of how she can be used by him and gently wipes her cheeks. She continues saying "I want to be close to you, I want to understand you." Ieyasu teases her about her crying face. Then he tells her that face is what makes him the happiest. MC is shocked then starts to cry again. Ieyasu asks her why she's crying and she tells him "it's because I'm happy."

Ieyasu is working. He summons his ninja (it legit says Hattori Hanzo but uses Kiyohiro's sprite, wtf Voltage stop confusing me). He tells him to deliver this letter to Sanada. As Hanzo leaves, Ieyasu looks at MC sleeping. He covers her with his coat and says

"I will protect you."

"So, only look at me."

Later, at the Hojo camp, a messenger delivers Ieyasu's response to Ujitsuna. He is enraged that Ieyasu refused him and tells his men to attack. Suddenly, his men start to shout.

The armies from Sanada are approaching, surprising Ujitsuna who thought they were a neutral party. In addition to the Sanada forces, Yasumasa and Tadakatsu who had supposedly retreated had actually returned. The Hojo realize they are fucked.

A few days later, after a clear Tokugawa and Sanada victory, Ieyasu, MC, Ieyasu's guardians and the rest of the clan are returning to Hamamatsu. Tadakatsu is chatting with MC saying "long time no see" blah blah when Ieyasu tells him to shut up or he will kick and kill him. Tadakatsu replies "yes! Please."

Toramatsu and Yasumasa sigh.

MC comments that everything is back to normal. Tadatsugu starts talking to MC, thanking her for staying with them. MC thanks them for allowing her to return.

After feast celebrating the Tokugawa and Sanada victory, MC and Ieyasu return to his chambers. MC sits nervously in her bed clothes. Ieyasu grabs her hands, then proceeds to hold her from behind.

(When I first read this I thought he said HIS DICK was getting stiff LMAO but I think he means that MC is being stiff. Also, look at MC! She is gorgeous!)

He turns her face to him which makes her blush. MC struggles a little with his teasing. Ieyasu says "I'll be quiet now." Dejectedly he continues "you probably want to go." He loosens his hold on her. MC turns to Ieyasu and tells him "I am not going anywhere anymore." Ieyasu turns off the wounded animal act and retorts "naturally" with an arrogant smile. MC pouts. Ieyasu says

"This is your punishment... did you actually think that I could live without you?"

MC is stunned. She asks him back "can you not live without me?"

Ieyasu blushes heavily and comments on her cheekiness. The next moment, the two of them are making out like crazy. MC thinks to herself

"I can't live without you as well."
