In Which Derek Loses His Cool - A Drabble (with D, Lo, and Seb)

Warning: Swear words, not Sebastian/Larythe friendly. I’m sorry.

Logan doesn’t exactly know how it happened. Derek was fast.

He and Derek had been on their way to the students’ parking area. They were going to take Derek’s car to head over to the airport to pick up Julian. The two had made it as far as the entrance to Stuart House when Sebastian had decided to stop them.

“You don’t have to pick him up, you know.” The relatively new Stuart sneered at them. “I can do it myself.”

Logan’s blood boiled at the mere sight of the meerkat-faced boy. “Really, Smythe? Because if I remember correctly, the last time you went to the airport for Jules, you were too late.”

“At least I didn’t make him wait three years.”

Before Logan could even think about retaliating, Derek had Sebastian pinned to the ground.

“D!” Logan said, surprised.

Derek ignored him, he glared down at the thrashing Stuart under him. “I’ve had enough of your shit, you bastard. Logan and Julian have been through enough crap already, they don’t need more coming from you.” He growled, tightening his hold on the other boy’s shirt.

“Get off me.” Sebastian said, trying to pry Derek’s fingers off of his shirt collar.

Logan placed a hand on Derek’s shoulder. “Let him go, Derek.” Logan said. He would’ve loved to let Derek beat the guy up, but he knew Julian still saw him as a friend. Honestly, that was probably the only reason why he hadn’t fucked up Sebastian’s shit himself, he’d been horrible to Lo all school year. And he was still the damned Stuart prefect.

Derek looked up at him in disbelief. Logan just shook his head. Derek gave Sebastian one last withering look before releasing him. He walked away without a backwards glance.

The blond glared at Sebastian, who had stood up and was currently brushing off the dirt from his pants.

“In case you’re forgetting, Sebastian, I am Julian’s boyfriend, and I do love him, and he does love me. So until any of that changes — and I plan to do everything in my power to make sure it doesn’t — trying to get in between us is pointless.”

With that, he walked away.
