WELL im the only person in the studios rn?? making me a bit self conscious because i feel like there must be something on that i don't know about?? like a lecture or something and because ive essentially had two weeks off ive just not been told?? eeeek 

ANYWAYS so, yesterday i had my tutorial with Pip and tbh he gave me some good references as well. he said that my digital drawings had a kieth haring vibe and u know what i do kinda agree. the colours and outlines and such, i should probably do some artist research on him at some point as i do also like him as an artist. he also reminded me of a movie that i have watched before that is also quite relevant - donnie darko. theres a creepy big blue rabbit in the too and its actually a ooky spooky ghost. very nice. because of the chat with pip i bought two books on my kindle (which i forgot i left at home lol my bad) irvine welsh filth. its about a corrupt police officer who is very misanthropic (from my understanding this means that u just hate people??), sounded very interesting anyway so i did buy it on my kindle. also bought a book lucy recommended for me Story of the Eye by Georges Bataille, which is about sexual perversions and stuff. oooooo right up my alley lol. 

i finally took some images for a stop motion!!! waheyyyyy!!!! i feel like we have been waiting for me to say this from day one lol hahahah. i decided i was gonna learn how to stitch the photos together with iMovie as my MacBook doesn't have final cut pro or anything like that. i need to find out whether theres an option for remote desktop so i can have the uni computers on mine because i don't like going on uni computers because i don't actually know how to use a macbook and i feel like i would just be messing it up or saving things in random places. i have a lot of anxiety around technology as u can probably tell. 

had to look up a tutorial for this stuff as well lol. it wasnt a very good tutorial as i need things explained to me like im a tiny tiny baby.

i found out that the shortest a clip can be within iMovie is 0.1 seconds. so that affects the frame rate of the video and the best it can possibly be in iMovie is 10 frames per second, when i wanted it to ideally be 16fps. hey ho. im just practicing at the moment. 

wooo, obviously it needs some cleaning up. but WOOOO i finally made one

u can see my hand in some shots as well hahahah next time i will think about stuff like that i suppose

what im doing today 

i have a tutorial with pip sometime after 4 its 4:30 now so i dunno when that gonna be and ill just edit this post and write what we talked about. 

BUT today ive been working on the phenakistoscope thingy, i finally got round to drawing out the base of one lmao. i finally got some tracing (greaseproof lol) paper. i started doing it and then realised all my sections were different sizes as i hadn't done my maths correctly OOOPS!! maths was never my strong point anyways. i realised since a circle is 360 degrees and i want 10 sections i need 36 degree sections. i drew the whole thing out and noticed they were totally uneven. FUMING!!!! GRRRR!! so i did it again and it look like this 

this was the plan for it, so i wanted the worm to come out of this arse and then go back in 

the process of drawing it out, and the result of it not coloured 

woooo can't wait ti put this on my record player and get it to spin 

i definitely see the resembelance between the work ive just been doing and keith harings work.
