I kinda wanna fucking scream, so here, have a offline bullshit rant post.
So I’ve literally been trying to get my stupid fucking meds for over a MONTH now at this point, which I’m sure you can all see like, my mood is just wooooonderful these days. Not an excuse, casual reminder that yeah you do gotta take care of your own space so if my mood is dragging anyone down, I’m totes on board with blocking or unfollowing or y’know, burning me in effigy or something. Okay maybe not that last part. But still. You get it. And its not even that like, I need mood stabilizers per se, lol, so shout out to the armchair diagnosticians helpfully peppering my inbox still in their quest to oh so slickly be like ‘hey you’re a hot mess, take your hot messness away from tumblr’ like lol, didn’t ask.....nah, its mostly the perpetual lack of sleep and chronic pain issues that I have zero distraction from when my specific combo of meds isn’t able to let me actually weaponize my ADHD properly and power through that. Its a whole thing. Whatever. Just go with it.
POINT IS. So I’ve been trying to do this for over a month now, first obstacle was even just getting the money together for my refill appointment which is a whopping $150, because I have to pay out of pocket for mental health stuff these days because I had to switch my insurance over to something that paid out more heavily for physical benefits like my jaw surgery.....and because of the pandemic, and how many psychiatrists in my area and that I could actually reach aren’t taking new patients during the pandemic since most of them are conducting business virtually still, like, I have barely any resources for seeking out and trying new psychiatrist offices in the meanwhile that might charge less and I’m kinda stuck with the one I have because the last thing I can afford is to have like, NO psychiatrist at the moment, y’know?
So first I had to have that to even BOOK the appointment, which took forever because rent and food are a joy to accrue when you can barely manage to function as an actual employee of the capitalist machine ahfsklhflkahflakf, but so then I did that and like, got an appointment put on the books for August 19th. That was the soonest they could fit me in back when I paid them for my appointment about a week and a half ago. No, two weeks ago now? Eh, time is fake. ANYWAY, so that wasn’t gonna work for me, so basically the entirety of last week was devoted to constantly calling and trying to check in every other hour to see if they had any sooner cancellations I could take, because for whatever fucking reason, they just ‘don’t do’ a cancellation list wherein they call the next person on the list once they have a cancellation. Whatever.
So finally got a cancellation slot with a virtual appointment last Saturday night at random as fuck 8:40. Okay cool. Most of my refills are fairly simple, no real changes, but two are controlled substances so like, they have to do their due diligence and go through the proper protocols before giving me another prescription to one or whatever. Fine. Okay.
So I call the CVS they sent the prescription for my ADHD med to, the very next morning. One of the controlled substances, and the key med to like....making me functional instead of a rambling disjointed whirlibird of a thought emitter. Problem is, that medication is on back order. Won’t be in until Tuesday. Ugh. Okay, fine. Nothing I can do about it, because while the specific provider I spoke to in order to GET my refill prescriptions was taking an appointment the night before, the actual offices that schedule appointments and connect patients through to their providers was closed for the weekend, so I couldn’t even ask for them to send the scrip somewhere else.
SO. I go back to the CVS on Monday, hoping that maybe it came in early because not like I can do much else in the meanwhile. Course its not there, but oh well. I toy with the idea of calling to ask my provider to send the scrip to a different pharmacy (only had it sent to this one cuz its within walking distance to me, and since I can’t drive for medical reasons and Uber’s are expensive as fuck, just for errands, like, even though walking is sooooo not fun for me physically, like it is what it is). I decide against it because here’s another fun fact about this controlled substance....for security reasons, pharmacies don’t have to tell people over the phone if they have it in stock or not. Like, they won’t just say no we don’t have it in stock - I mean, they WILL say that, but that doesn’t actually mean anything because that’s what most of them say about that particular medication no matter whether or not they DO, and then just cite security protocols, so you have to actually GO to the store in question to ask them and even get a real answer to whether or not they even HAVE it in stock to FILL a prescription if its sent over. And no, the provider won’t just send scrips into several different pharmacies at once and just be whichever has it in stock can fill it - because again, controlled substance.
SO. I decide its not worth it to try getting the scrip sent over somewhere else, because I’d have to at least waste money on an Uber to even travel to various pharmacies and even check if they CAN fill it sooner than this one, when at least this place will have it in tomorrow. Its just one more day at this point.
Except then I go back on Tuesday. Oh sorry, don’t know why that other person told you we’d have our order in today, our shipments of that medication don’t come in until Wednesdays.
So I go back Wednesday. Success! They have it in stock. I go to pay, pulling out my goodRx coupon that was just printed out that morning, specifically citing the price for CVS at Target. The pharmacy manager says sorry, we don’t honor that coupon here for controlled substances like this one. I say: record scratch? He’s like yeah, that’s at the discretion of individual pharmacies, and we don’t honor that price for this specific medication, because we don’t want to attract customers only coming here to get that medication filled for that price. (This pharmacy is right at the edge of Inglewood and Culver City, for anyone who is familiar with those neighborhoods. The implications are exactly as they appear to be). So I’m like, what’s the regular generic price? He quotes me something that’s $180 more than the coupon, and thus $180 more than I have since I was focused totally on getting THIS amount ASAP, so I could get these meds so I could do more work and make more money. You see the train of thought. I’m like well that’s awesome, I don’t have anything close to that. Hey. Weird question. Why did nobody I talked to the past three days in a row that I’ve walked into this store in person to request this refill, like, mention this little tidbit about not honoring this coupon so instead of waiting for a backorder that would do me no good, I could have been spending that time having my prescription transferred somewhere that WOULD honor it?
He’s like, well did you mention to any of them that you’d be using a goodRx coupon for this particular medication? I said, yup. He said, you sure? I said well the specific process each time was I came in, I asked if this medication was in, they said what’s your name and date of birth, I provided that info, they said are you paying out of pocket, we don’t have valid insurance info for this on file for you, I said yup paying out of pocket with a goodRx coupon, they said *clickety clack of the keyboard* nope, sorry, we won’t have this medicine in until Tuesday, I mean Wednesday.
He’s like, well you must be misremembering or they would have told you at the time that we don’t take GoodRx coupons on this medication. I’m like, dude, it was you. It was literally you that I spoke to two of those three times, right here at the counter, in person. I’m gonna go ahead and trust my memory of those interactions and what was said there over yours since you don’t actually remember having talked to me two times in the last three days. He’s like, I gotta go help another customer. There is no other customer. I leave. Fun day for everyone.
So then I call around town to at least check which CVS will actually honor the coupon I have and the price that I can afford to pay it at. I don’t bother asking if they even have the medication in stock because I know its not guaranteed to be a CORRECT answer, but at least I can see who accepts this damn coupon. Also, reason I’m only trying big brand pharmacies instead of smaller, hole in the wall ones is because again, controlled substance, and I know from experience that the bigger brand pharmacies are at least more likely to have that med in stock whereas most smaller ones tend to run out very quickly as they usually only get enough for their existing/regular customers and a little extra.
I find a CVS five miles away - not walkable, gonna have to Uber. Call my psychiatrist office again to ask them to transfer the scrip, front office says they’ll send the request to my provider, who usually checks and fulfills such requests in 24-48 hours. I’m like okay cool, can I get a phone call to let me know when that happens, so at least I know when to check back to follow up if it hasn’t happened yet for whatever reason? They’re like no, the pharmacy will send you a text or call when they get the prescription sent over and you can take it from there with them. I’m like okay, but I’ve done this a bunch of times and know from experience the pharmacy does NOT in fact always call or text, so is there a certain time to follow up to inquire if the provider has already sent the scrip and the pharmacy SHOULD have it by now or if the delay is on the provider’s end? Front office is like yeah no. I’m like, swell.
So that was yesterday. I call the pharmacy (which I still don’t even know if they have the medication IN STOCK to fill the scrip even once they GET the scrip, and won’t until I can actually Uber out there, but one thing at a time at this point) at like 9 pm, they’re a 24 hour pharmacy, and they’re like nope, we got nothing (this is after spending an hour and a half on hold to even TALK to someone at the pharmacy). Called them again today at noon, still nada. Technically I have another 29 hours before the window in which the provider is supposed to send the refill scrip to this new location, before I can be like, okay so they still haven’t done it, can we send him a nudge or another request. The 24-48 hour window will only actually EXPIRE after their offices close on Friday meaning it’ll be Monday before I can even actually REACH someone again to ask them to send the scrip again, if the pharmacy hasn’t ACTUALLY gotten it by Friday night, and pessimistically, I’m not super inclined to assume that they will at this point.
I’m antsy, irritable, hungry because I don’t even know for SURE sure if the new pharmacy will ACTUALLY honor the coupon or say no sorry we don’t do that here either, whoever told you that was wrong, or if they’ll even actually have it in stock versus I’ll have to have it sent somewhere else AGAIN, so I have to pinch every penny possible in order to ensure I have the most money possible once my prescription IS filled in case the price is more than I expected again or in case I have to take Ubers there or further than I expected or basically....shit happens that I don’t expect. And this is what I’m basically spending all my time doing instead of working, because trying to get work done in this state is like....the harder I try to make it happen, the less it actually gets done, so I try and prioritize this and its roadblock after roadblock dragging out and wasting my time, and like yeah, I can post and shit while I’m doing this aka sitting on hold or walking around town trying to get shit filled because its fine if I ramble incoherently along the way in posts, but actual WORK work requires like....fucking coherency and succinctness and not having to stop and start every five minutes to call someone else, and oh yeah, being able to power through migraine spikes. And just.
I’m very annoyed about anything and everything to do with this shit. The hoops you have to jump through to even get the stuff that like....actualizes your hoop jumping ability, is just....*gnashing of teeth*
Anyway. So that’s my offline bullshit rant. Yay. The end.

Part 3
[8:30 PM]
It was Saturday night. Your parents rewarded you with the weekend off and you caught up on some sleep and did some online shopping. You sat in your apartment in one of the many high rises in Downtown Mystic. You laid on the couch and scrolled through a webtoon on your tablet, kicking your legs like a lovesick schoolgirl. The latest chapter of the webcomic had you gushing.
Your phone sounded off a text. You didn’t even have to check who it was.
Your parents were back for two weeks now and Yuta’s gifts did not cease. He was sneaky, you had to hand it to him. He somehow always knew when your parents weren’t around to drop things off at your office. It was a good thing he never figured out where you lived.
Day 1 (when your parents came back): The Tiffany necklace
Day 2: a $250 gift card to the Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa
Day 3: a Versace safety pin evening dress (he knew your measurements a little too well as it fit you like a glove)
Day 4: Godiva chocolate covered strawberries delivered to you every night before you left for work
…..It made your head spin to even go to Day 14.
You didn’t use any of Yuta’s gift’s (except for the strawberries because those couldn’t go to waste and you planned to start up a payment plan with him when you kindly rejected him...AGAIN).
Every time you tried to approach Yuta, though, you were always pulled in another direction by an employee at work. You were everyone’s go-to woman. Their emotional support only daughter. You couldn’t catch a break.
To hell with it, when you got back to work on Monday night, you would ignore everyone for 10 minutes and they would just have to accept it. You would find Yuta when he “stopped by to meet a friend” like he has for the past two weeks.
Taeyong wasn’t around much either. You met up only a couple of times to French kiss like it was a contact sport but conveniently neither of you had time to be disappointed when you had to part. You both had lives to live. Separately.
So, there you were, on Saturday night, feeling antsy with nothing to do now that you had to wait for the next chapter of True Beauty to update next week. You weren’t used to being free on a Saturday. It was a weird feeling. To no avail, you called up a couple of friends to see if they were down to go clubbing. You were always the designated driver so you thought they would jump at the chance to avoid paying for a Lyft.
Alcohol only had a temporary effect on your body: hence, the dream designated driver. 99% human. You wished there was a name for the type of creature you were. Your parents were adamant that you were a human but you knew you stood out from the rest of that population. Your parents were never particularly fond of talking about your family history either so that did wonders for your anxiety.
Age 16
“But mom, how is that I can sense things? The other day at CVS I got change back from the cashier and I knew he wasn’t human. How does that make sense?” I asked.
“You were kissed by an angel, sweetheart. You were blessed with all sorts of quirky gifts. But you are a human: the purest of all of the creatures. Well, below angels. But we’re pretty close.” She replied, winking. I inherited humility from her, apparently.
Now that you were getting older...you were starting to have doubts about this whole “kissed by an angel” business. Why didn’t your mom have any of your abilities? It just didn’t add up.
You could only hold on to the things you knew: you could understand any creature, you could identify any creature in disguise, your cuts from falls healed very quickly, you could manipulate your dreams, your alcohol tolerance was most impressive, and you had a powerful urge to be with a vampire.
You missed the feel of Taeyong’s elegant fingers tracing against your thighs and moving dangerously close to your heat. His teasing was torturous but you enjoyed every second of it. You found yourself mimicking his movements to yourself and imagining he was there with you.
You got off on fantasizing Taeyong on top of you on the couch but the euphoria didn’t last long.
You sighed. You felt really stupid for not sharing your phone number with him.
🎥
You thought about going to Target for the hell of it since you never had a chance to go. Your unusual schedule would usually lead you to groggily shop for groceries at 8 in the morning once in a while. You were elated to go at nighttime and kill a couple of hours browsing.
You chose to go makeup free and in an old university tee and yoga pants. It felt good not give a fuck about how you looked for a night.
You headed over to Target and made a beeline for the Starbucks to get a frappuccino. You haven’t had one of them in months and you were close to the point of tears when you tasted the whipped cream again .
You moaned in happiness. “Yes.”
“I’ve heard that before,” a voice came from behind you.
You jumped at hearing Taeyong’s voice. “AH!’
Taeyong chuckled when you turned around. “Stop! I could’ve dropped my frap.”
He was in a loose-fitting white tee and black jeans. They looked affordable but you knew that was not the case. He took the straw and drank some of your drink. “I would’ve bought you another one.”
You rolled your eyes. “Very charming. What are you doing here?”
“It’s nice to see you, too, y/n,” he said, pecking your cheek and caressing it.
You sighed. “Do you live around here?” This Target was down the street from your place.
He shook his head. “I’ve been on the lookout for a video game for Doyoung. I’ve been to two Targets already.” Doyoung was one of Taeyong’s vampire pals.
You frowned. “You should’ve called ahead and asked if they had it in stock.”
Taeyong’s eyes grew. “I did not realize that was an option.”
You laughed. “It’s cool. If you want, we can go to all of the Targets across town until we find Doyoung’s game.”
He smiled. “I’d like that.”
The third time was the charm as Taeyong found Doyoung’s game: Princess Peach & Pals 2. You high fived each other when you checked it out.
Taeyong asked, “I didn’t see you at Sinema yesterday. Are you okay?”
You took his hand and squeezed it. “Got the weekend off.”
Taeyong looked happier than you did when your parents told you. “I’m glad. You really needed it.”
“Yeah, you’re right. It’s kind of weird not having any plans or someone knocking at my door asking for help with the claw machine.”
He chuckled because he helped you fix the claw machine a couple of times. “So you’re free, then?”
“Yup. Why? What were you thinking?”
He stepped back and wrapped his arms around you from behind. “Spend the night with me.”
You restrained yourself from yelling yes a hundred times. “Okay.”
Taeyong led you to the parking lot. He approached his motorcycle, a 2018 Suzuki. You stopped. How could you forget that he rode a motorcycle.
“y/n?” Taeyong asked as he pulled out two helmets.
“You know what, how about I just take a Lyft over to your place? Gives you time to hide your snacks and your blood bags.” You avoided his stare.
He frowned. “Why?”
“I’m...I don’t do motorcycles.” You hugged yourself.
You were scared, Taeyong realized. He never wanted you to be afraid. He tried his best to see to it that you would feel safe without him. He never wanted to cross a line that you drew. He thought the only way he could scare you was if he bit you.
He thought wrong.
“I’ll go slow, I promise,” he said as he hugged you again.
You mumbled against his chest. “I don’t know…”
“You can trust me. I don’t live that far from here. It’ll be ten minutes, tops.”
You knew your fear was over-the-top but you couldn’t help it. So many maniacs were on the road. You could barely keep it together in your Corolla. But you were curious. You wanted to push the fear aside and be a little reckless. Taeyong wouldn’t let anything happen to you. Regardless of what your parents told you, vampires were strong and they protected their own. Taeyong regarded you as an equal. He’s said it multiple times. You were his friend and he would take care of you.
So what the hell?
“Okay,” you said, steadying your voice.
He helped you secure your helmet. He did the same for himself. He got onto the bike. He nodded for you to get on. You wrapped your arms tightly around his abdomen. It was rock solid and you could feel his heartbeat accelerate.
“Hey. Don’t let me distract you,” you teased.
He chuckled. “Even when you’re not around, love.”
You smacked his arm. “You’re so annoying.”
He laughed. “You ready?”
“Let’s go,” you said as you squeezed him tighter.
Taeyong enjoyed this more than you will ever know. He started up the bike and you moved at a decent speed out of the parking lot. Your heart rate was deceiving you and you knew Taeyong could feel it, too.
You just let yourself feel what you felt and hoped that excitement would take over. And it did.
When you got onto the main road, you cheered and laughed. You let yourself be free. For all of your life, you liked to think you had some freedom. At the root of it all, you were stuck in a lot of ways: family obligations, your career, and who you could marry, to name a few. But in this moment with Taeyong, you’ve never felt freer.
🎥
Taeyong purchased one of the properties at a luxurious oceanfront hotel, Hotel La Mar. He lived on the top floor.
“Make yourself at home,” he said. “I’m going to wash up.”
You marveled at the spacious apartment. The furniture was leather and the floor was a plush carpet. You could envision yourself curling on the floor. That’s how cozy the space felt.
The living room had a plasma screen TV with shelves and shelves of movies: everything you could think of.
Huh, a movie theater employee human hybrid (?) with a cinephile vampire lord. An interesting concept, you thought. You kept exploring and noticed that there weren’t many photographs around the space. There was one of Taeyong posing in front of the Eiffel Tower at night. Bold of him to break the rules overseas, you giggled to yourself. Another frame contained a visibly older photo. It was a picture of Taeyong and who you assumed were his family: his parents and his sister. You wondered when this was taken.
“1985,” Taeyong answered into your ear, causing the hairs on the back of your neck to rise.
You yelped.
He took the photo frame into his hands so you both could admire it. “This is my family. My mom, my dad, and my older sister Chaewon.”
1985? Taeyong looked exactly the same as he did in that picture. That must have been around the time he became a vampire, you thought.
“I turned a year after that,” he said. You noted the hesitance in his voice.
“Oh,” you said.
“When I was a human, I fell in love with a vampire.”
“Oh, so we’re going there...”
Taeyong took you out to the balcony so you could watch the night sky over the ocean.
“We don’t have to talk about it-“ He started.
“Are you kidding me?” You’ve been dying for more intel on this man.
He smiled amusingly at you. You were so curious and open with him. You were precious to him.
“I met Cleo when I was 22...She was older than me. I didn’t realize at the time just how much older. I worked at my father’s dojo over the summer after I graduated from college. I was going to get my master’s in architecture. I had everything going for me. I dated a few girls in college but I didn’t find someone I wanted to settle down with. I was...a bit of a hopeless romantic.”
Still are, you thought to yourself.
“I was closing the dojo one night when a couple of thugs broke in to rob the place. They were in the process of beating me to a pulp when Cleo and her friends came in and...took care of them.”
You understood that to mean they were sucked dry.
“She told me she’d been watching me for a while and didn’t know how to introduce herself. So that night was as good a time as any. I was shocked to see vampires for the first time. Once upon a time, the world you see every day at Sinema was a fairy tale for me.”
You figured as much. Not all vampires were born as vampires.
“But I couldn’t get Cleo out of my mind so soon I fell into that world. Never looking back.”
And that’s when you heard the regret in his voice.
“Cleo paraded me all over the supernatural parts of the country. She would take me to clubs. Introduce me to her friends. I moved in with her not even a month after we met. The first time she drank my blood...I didn’t expect the emotions to be so strong.”
The alarm bells rang off in your head.
“I was all hers after that, y/n. She bewitched me. I was at her beck and call. Nothing else mattered but how I could please her.”
You could see the pain in his eyes and how he avoided looking at you.
“That’s why...” You started.
Taeyong continued, “I can’t do that to you. It’s not worth the risk. My escorts? Those human women visited witches to give them the resistance from falling under a vampire’s spell. An attraction can grow, sure, but the intense devotion a human feels to a vampire is taboo now. Vampires don’t want to deal with what they would call collateral damage after having one night of unadulterated pleasure.”
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Your heart hurt for the man before you. It wasn’t his fault that he was under Cleo’s spell. She manipulated him.
“But every now and then, a vampire just won’t care,” he said.
Which means this kind of abuse still went on to this day, you realized.
“After the first bite, I begged Cleo for more. She offered to do me one better and asked for me to join her on her travels around the world: as her vampire prince. Her words. Not mine.”
Taeyong sighed and rolled his eyes. “Looking back on it, it was bullshit. But the human me was...singing from the rooftops. I idolized that woman. She was the key to my happiness. I would follow her to the ends of the earth. And that I did.”
You thought about his family and his life.
“I was a vampire. I couldn’t live my human life anymore. I was devoted to Cleo and that was all that mattered. I gave up on my master’s. I told my parents I was getting married, traveling the world, and didn’t plan on coming back. I was mad at them, y/n. They told me I was a fool for throwing away my future for a woman who sucked me in and would spit me back out. I hated that they doubted me but even more that they doubted Cleo.”
“So you left...”
“I did and it didn’t take long for me to realize that my parents were right. I loved her unconditionally, knowing full well that she was preying on other humans like me, building an empire...well, a harem would be a more accurate term. Soon, I realized I was no longer her favorite and it was eating me up from the inside. I...couldn’t take it so I-“
You felt a sense of dread at what he was about to say next.
”I never even considered the possibility that I could end my addiction to her. I just thought of the quickest way to put me out of my misery. I planned to stab myself in the chest.”
You put your hand to your mouth. “Taeyong...I-“
He squeezed your hand. “It’s okay.”
“It’s a lot...Remembering your darkest days...I don’t want you to feel pressured to tell me everything,” you added as you traced your fingers against his knuckles.
He shook his head. “I want to share this with you.” His brown eyes shifted into bright a shade of blue, suddenly.
“Taeyong, your eyes...”
“They’re blue, aren’t they?”
“Yes but why?”
“I’ll explain. Someone saved me the day I wanted to end it all. Jaejoong. Jaejoong...is like a father to me. He talked me down and helped extract Cleo’s latches off of me. And with that, my memories of her were gone. The witch who helped us with this process was able to conserve pieces of my memories and I only had the nerve to access them recently...After I met you.”
“Taeyong...”
“I wanted to know why I couldn’t let myself bite you. Something inside me was holding me back. I wanted to drink from you so badly but you weren’t an escort. I knew the rules. About the damage that could be caused. But I wanted to understand the nagging feeling at the back of my mind. And accessing those memories again...my eyes turn blue as I reflect on the darkest time in my life.”
“Oh, Taeyong...” You sat curled up against him and held him tightly. “I’m so sorry.”
Taeyong tucked some of your hair back so he can cup your face. “Thank you for listening to me. I thought you would be running for the hills by now.”
“Everyone has their dark past. Granted, mine consists of a crappy ex-boyfriend but my point is that I really appreciate you telling me about yourself. I didn’t expect that.”
Taeyong sighed. “You know, the arrangement we have...”
“Yeah?”
“I like it. But...” He stared out at the sea.
“Go on,” you said as you kissed his neck.
“I don’t want to be just friends with you,” he almost whispered. You were close enough to his lips to hear every syllable clearly.
“I know...”
“You do?” He looked down at you as you played around with the fabric of his tee.
“You told me everything...Basically. I don’t think you did it without an agenda,” you said as you removed yourself off of him and looked into his eyes.
He rubbed his hands against your legs, wishing you’d worn shorts so he can feel your soft skin heat up at his touch. “What do you think?”
You were about to respond when his hands ran up to your butt and he squeezed it. “I...I think we’re ready to move up another level.”
He smiled. “Really?”
Before he went for your butt again, you got yourself up and straddled him. “Really.”
You kissed him deeply, begging his tongue to meet yours. Taeyong quickly reciprocated.
He cupped your face again. “You are so beautiful.”
“I know you mean that,” you said, realizing you looked like a struggling college student in your getup. He really liked you. He wouldn’t avoid your stare. He was happy.
The blue in his eyes vanished and it was back to his warm dreamy brown.
“You okay?” You asked.
“Never better,” he said as you pulled you closer to him. He always embraced you like it was his last time.
He was indeed a hopeless romantic.
“So...” You couldn’t get Cleo out of your mind, though. You wondered what she looked like and how she seduced Taeyong. At one point, Taeyong was in love with her without the enchantment of a vampire. You couldn’t help but wonder if he ever compared you to her. And just how much he remembered after the memory wipe. “Where is Cleo now?”
He cleared his throat. “She’s dead.”
There was a sense of dread again at the pit of your stomach. “How did she die?” You sat beside him again.
“Jaejoong...finished her,” he continued.
“...How?”
“When Cleo found out I had defected to another clan, she was furious,” he said.
“She came after you?” You asked, shocked she would care so much.
“It’s not that she cared,” he answered your thoughts again without realizing it. “It was a matter of pride for her. I was her property. And Jaejoong took it away from her.” That infuriated you.
Taeyong continued, “Jaejoong hid me away from her for a year. So I wouldn’t be tempted to go back to her. Even if her influence escaped me, she could easily lure me in again. I was weak, starved for love. For anything I could get from her after I left everything behind.”
“Taeyong...”
“In 1987, Jaejoong and Cleo faced off. She perished from a wooden bullet shot to the heart.”
You still had so much you wanted to ask. “How do you know she’s gone?” You blurted. You didn’t have a lot of remorse for the death of this woman, you understood.
He met your gaze. “Jaejoong brought me to her body.”
You waited for him to continue.
He said, “And we burned it, making sure no trace of her remained.”
He worried that you would see him differently upon hearing this.
But you understood. She was a monster that preyed upon innocent people and played with them like dispensable toys. You hated that someone could be so vile and tinker with the heart of the man you...
Liked.
“Wow,” you said, meekly.
“I know,” he said, “Jaejoong took in the lost boys of her clan and helped them become independent. Like he did with me. Now we pledge our loyalty to him.”
You wondered if Jaejoong was really as heroic of a man as Taeyong made him out to be.
🎥
You sat with Taeyong in the kitchen. You took some cake mix out from your shopping tote and asked him if you could bake it. “Mind if I use your kitchen?”
“Depends. What flavor is the cake?”
“Red velvet,” you answered.
“Only if I can lick the spoon,” he said as he helped pull out all of the supplies and ingredients.
As you mixed the cake mix with the other ingredients, Taeyong watched you.
You were something else. After telling you some of his darkest memories, you didn’t run off. You didn’t doubt him. You stayed. And for that, he would be eternally thankful.
“You can lick the spoon now,” you sang.
Taeyong creeped up from behind you, dipped his finger into the bowl, scooped some of the batter and ran it across your neck. You stood still.
He moved his finger dangerously slow across your neck and his tongue followed even more slowly behind. You moaned at his delicate touch.
“It tastes pretty good,” he whispered. You could feel his cock grow against your leg.
Taeyong held you from behind as you finished putting the mix into a pan. You laughed at how he clung to you like a koala.
The cake would take about half an hour to bake, which meant...
“Lead the way, Taeyong,” you said.
He scooped you up and he bolted to his bedroom. You laughed.
He tossed you on the plush California king bed and nearly pounced on top of you. You yelled and giggled like you were playing tag.
He kissed you hard as he laid against the bed frame. You pulled his shirt off. He did the same. You surprised him then.
“Where’s your bra?” He asked.
“I took it off when I went to the bathroom. I thought you noticed and that’s why we’re here now.”
“I mean, your nipples looked...”
You pulled him closer. “How do they look?” You lowered your voice.
“Pretty,” he said as he kissed you again. You pulled down his pants and cock greeted you.
Taeyong stood up on the bed as you kneeled down to greet his gorgeous length.
You grasped it hard and Taeyong grunted. “Does it feel good, baby?” You asked.
“Yes, love,” he said as he ran his fingers against your hair.
You took his length into your mouth and moved slowly back and forth, enjoying the taste of precum in your mouth and the sound of Taeyong’s moans. His length tickled the back of your throat. The discomfort was mild but you liked giving him blow jobs. So with practice, the pain became pleasure. You were getting wet at the thought of pleasuring him now.
“Feel me,” you said as you moved your eyes down to your panties. Taeyong put his hands down there and gently placed two fingers inside of you. He moaned again as you sucked faster.
You wanted Taeyong to know that you weren’t there to play with his heart. That was never what you wanted. You wanted to get to know him. And you didn’t want to keep lying to yourself. You were all in. And somehow, you would find a way to make it work.
Taeyong tugged tightly at your hair as he was on the verge of his climax. The thought of his climax aroused you ever further and felt the vibrations deep down in your belly. When he came, you found yourself soaked from him and yourself. You lathered up his cum. You fingered yourself and gave him a taste of your essence. You took all of his cum in and dragged your tongue up to his abdomen and met his lips. You kissed him.
He hugged you and wiped the sweat off of your forehead. “I love you.”
You exhaled like you held your breath for a long time. “I love you, too.”
He laid you down so he could pleasure you. He kissed you again and ran his hands up your thighs and forced them open. You gasped.
He greedily lathered up your cum. “You are exquisite.” He began running his index finger in and out of your clit. You started rocking back and forth.
He tsked. “Stay still, angel. Or I’m going to stop.”
You whined. “Meanie.”
He laughed his deep laugh and just the sound of that made you moan.
His unoccupied hand gripped your thigh tightly, squeezed your ass, and caressed you face. He liked watching you come undone under him. It kept awake sometimes when he was home alone.
He continued to finger you and you mewled when he inserted two fingers. You felt yourself building up again. You couldn’t help but rock back and forth. You wanted to climax.
“Taeyong, please,” you begged.
He smiled as he removed his fingers.
You whined even more. “Evil overlord, please.”
He pecked your lips. “Your wish is my command.”
He quickly inserted his cock and it hit you hard that you cried out. The pain quickly became pleasure as you both moved back and forth.
“Fuck,” he exclaimed. “I fucking love you.”
“I...love...you...” You managed to get out until you both released.
You both went for two more rounds before passing out on the bed. He held you as he covered you under the sheets. The timer went off for the cake.
You were about to get up but Taeyong pulled you back.
“It’ll cool. It’s okay. Just stay with me,” he said as he snuggled up against you.
“You’re so clingy,” you said as you laid your back against his front. He spooned you. His cock was in your ass. You’d wanted to do this with him for a while.
Taeyong was beaming. You were beside him now and neither of you was in a rush to leave. You could take your time and enjoy each other.
He moaned against your neck. “Are you hungry, though?”
You laughed. “I’m good.”
So you laid beside each other as the sun rose and slept for hours.
🎥
You stayed asleep but Taeyong’s phone rang. He slowly got up from bed and covered you with the sheets. You frowned in your sleep like you unconsciously knew he left your side. He laughed quietly as he took his phone off the nightstand.
He walked out of the room so as not to disturb you.
“Hey Jaejoong, how was South Africa?” He asked.
His leader chuckled over the phone. “Beautiful. The great white sharks were incredible. You have to come with me next time.”
“Are you back in the country?” Taeyong asked excitedly. Jaejoong was gone for a while on his travels.
“Yes. I landed today in Mystic.”
Taeyong replied, “That’s great. You have to come over for dinner. I’ll make your favorite chicken parm and you can drop off all of the souvenirs you bought for me.”
Jaejoong laughed. “I hope a keychain won’t disappoint you. How about I come over tonight? There’s something I wanted to talk about with you.” You noticed the shift in his tone.
“Is everything okay?” Taeyong asked.
“Yeah...They’ll be even better soon enough,” Jaejoong said.

So March through July has been most interesting lately -
So, in short, we are going to call these Arcs (like story arcs). There are five of them right now.
Facts to remember about this person; she’s bisexual, into open relationships, looking for fwb, is on the spectrum, had depression and social anxiety - which is why she smokes.
So I met a coworker who I got along with in march. I thought she was really cool and knowledge, however, I had a strange intuition that something was off with her at the same time. So before all that, I tried inviting her out to some events - concerts and stuff. Cause I thought she was legit cool and whatnot. She says no to this and eventually, in late April she invites me out to see Avengers: endgame; she does so because she works Fridays and Saturdays, and her friends are busy on those holidays. So I pick up, okay, so im just 2nd pick for this event? So I let it go and I buy our tickets and set the date and time. She cant do it because she is a tech and im just PRS. ( i just answer phones).
1st Arc
So on the movie day, I meet her at her place. her place is very lacklustre, she lives in a one-bedroom with no furniture - which is fine. Her roommate lives in the living room with an airbed. It’s all fine to me, I know the struggle is real. She’s nice enough to offer me coffee and scrambled eggs. I take just the coffee. She goes on a smoke break in her room, she's nice enough to close the door for her roommate. I sit on the roommate's bed and how she gets off it is odd as fuck; she kind casually brushes her hands along her arm and wrist before asking me to stand up, and it takes her a while to get up and go. Because shes trying to decide what coat she wants to wear. So finally go off, get a ride up to the mall centre in german town. She starts talking about her stories and stuff - and about one time post-banging some freshmen on her sophomore year. I was thinking okay that’s good on you lol. Now the worst part is she starts leaning her head on me afterwards through the whole ride. We get to the movies afterwards, and there two seats left because her dumbass wanted to take her time getting here. So one guy pointed us to two seats left in the crowd. The theatre was packed so what she did was cling to my arm and lean to my shoulder- again. So after the movies, we go to chipotle, and then to the beer & spirits which I pay. Because her ID is expired, how the fuck do you let your Id expire? so I have to get it. We order a lyft head back and drink at her place and play some games. We both had a good time but I left once I saw the roommate had teased her about being autistic and etc. The shoulder leaning thing had me confused - she told me im an associate.
So I bring up the issue with the shoulder leaning issue. So apparent none of that mattered. I got on her about how people can misinterpret that and she said few to interpret that. She gets upset because I bring this issue to mind like a few days. However, she mentioned one time a guy assumed she leads her on. Again she makes it clear we are associates the whole time.
2nd Arc
Next week May 5th we scheduled to watch the game of thrones at her place. I get off at 10:30 pm on a Sunday, and she doesn't work on a Sunday. I had to buy beer again - because so she meets me at my job. it was quite odd because her excuse for coming was “she was in town and though to drop by”. Nothing wrong with that but it did lead to some speculation. My coworker Gloria kept up asking questions like “Oh did you say hi to her?” “She usually doesn't wear dresses, Kelvin, what do you think?”, “ She doesn't work today here” so yeah it was hinting she knew something. Now after my shift we went to CVS and she offered to buy me snacks and food. She asks if I was sure? Now on this day, I had a sausage, cheese & egg. So I went to her place we had to go into her room since her roommate was sleeping. So she offered popeyes which I took only a wing. I sat by her bed rather than on it because - it felt weird lol. She said I could join her bed rather than sit by it - we are coworkers bruh. She leaves out too. So after smashing like 8- 9 beers I get on her bed because my knees were killing me on that hardwood floor. She comes back like “ It’s about time” so after a while she starts to lean on me again. So the beer takes its toll - and I start to nod off. So while watching Game of Thrones she would ask some questions. So around season 5 she stops it there - tells me to get my things. Escorts me out to the door of her complex. The original plan actually to use a spare bed but she apparently didn't want to do that. So she escorts me outside 4:00 am in the morning, it's cold as fuck in may. She couldn't stay out because is only clothed in a skimpy sundress and she's anaemic and plus she left her house keys in her house. So understandable but still no check-in. Which contradicts with her usually thing because she would always see if I got home. I got home around 6 am had like only 4 hours of sleep and had to go to work lol- I had a slight headache but I was good. I texted her to see if she was okay, said she was fine and that I was doing too much. I just added that hey you were right that I should have eaten something. Now this issue sparks something on her end, this literally causes her to snap off and she literally bans me from coming to her house.
After dropping her shoes off that she sent to my location because she lives in an apartment complex. we go to the gym together because of her social anxiety, now the fun part is after the gym. I found out apparently I had spilt beer on her carpet and pissed over her toilet while drunk, to be fair her bathroom is really dark. The only light is a night light behind you when you use the toilet. She had an emotional connection with that carpet so I sympathized with it and made to right my wrongs. So she asked only for three meals and me to go to the gym with her for a week. I decided a month because I felt bad about the situation. we agreed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Friday. Wednesday and Thursday are my days off.
3rd Arc
So off to the gym, some days she goes - some she doesn't - but either way I got continuously. Knowing discipline is necessary for progress. But usually, she is very inconsistent. So one week on Saturday she isn't going- rather than going I just leave it be. She's being too indecisive about the matter. I tell her to just tell me when she would be going and went home. So Tuesday comes up and she comes to work. She follows her usual routine; what's for lunch and etc? she comes up to check up on me and etc. But I wait until her shift after 12:30, now after that - my coworker comes up to ask “” Arent you going to the gym”. her reply, however, was “ No, I didn't do any laundry today. So I don't have any clean clothes to go with” That would’ve been news to tell me. So she leaves without telling me the matter - and leaves me hanging there. Wednesday and Thursday im off, and not once did it cross her mind. To make amends, so I actually have to reach out and confront her on the issues. She owned up to it but said her new meds for her depression. I understood in that second but for that whole three days? I felt that was really considerate tbh. I stopped doing favours because that was massive and just focused on me tbh. That was a huge disrespect to me and my time. So around June, I brought up the issue again to make sure we were clear and realised I had backtracked on it based on her logic on of the issue.
4th Arc
After a while, I agreed to invite her out to the movies. Went to see spider-man: Far away from home, I bought the tickets. We went over the seats and I set the time. So on the fourth, I reach the train station to meet her around 10:00 am, the movie starts at 12:45. She literally tells me to meet her at the theatre though we agreed to the train station, because of its fucking raining. Now the forecast said it would rain - but she chose to dress for the heat tbh. So I let it go and get a ride to the theatre and get there. We are early like its 11:45 pm so we decide to go to Starbucks. So she pulls me aside and asks if she can send lingerie and stuff to my house somewhat nervously (think of a typical anime girl who is fidgetting her fingers nervously) - because it's for when she goes to the gym. Still, quite an odd favour but i accept it. So after the movies, it starts to rain, so I got to CVS and buy an umbrella. Because she's wearing a sundress and if she got any wetter it is porn show. So off we go to across town to the Vape shop because the vape she has, has been burning her throat. So at the shop, the lady shows us how it works and after that she needs ID. She doesn't have ID....still so I had to literally use my ID. After a while, we go eat, and meet her roommate at the firework place. She arm links up with him and tries to get me to join - I literally shoot her down like “Nah im good”. So the roommate introduces us to his friends at her house - and off we go to park. Im literally lacking behind and she comes and checks up behind me multiple times. I state that im okay until we get to the park. Now at the park it's fine until it starts to rain, being the only practical person with common sense - hold up a single umbrella for five people. After 20 minutes of holding this damn thing up, I pass it off before she starts asking me if I want to watch Netflix. I say no, and then I went on my phone to text my friend for a while. Again she asks it before not too long she is leaning my whole thigh with the phone on it. Like you would with a couch armchair. This was no way platonic. After she leaning back on my chest with her back while we watch Netflix and stuff. Im like....you have your roommate there fam why not do this with him lol. After the fireworks, we leave but the large crowds cause her anxiety; she clings to my arm and literally is like “sorry for invading her personal space” ... it's a little too late for all that :T. We head to safeway , use the bathroom and head home.
5th Arc
We were supposed to go to Otakon together - because she invited me out to the invite. So I told Mike, a coworker of mine, I and she are supposed to be going. The whole week is excited about Otakon and stuff - and Saturday tells me “whenever she gets up she’ll let me know when she goes down to the convention centre”. I’m like.... what kind of rude shit is that? but I let it be it is what it is. So Friday comes up I call mike, he is down there and I meet him there. He tells me to call her to figure where she is - because she told him she’d be here 3-4. I called her and phone rings twice before going to voicemail. So she tells me “Oh im just got sick. Just my luck!” now I know this feels like bullshit really. You were super excited about this event - and Mike told me she looked healthy yesterday - again not making any sense really. So rather than just telling me you aren't going to show up at all. And she scheduled this event the whole time tbh.

Forbidden Fruit: Jaebum AU: Part 5
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
You heard a faint beeping sound that progressively got louder, and as soon as you realise it’s your ‘leave the house alarm’. You quickly jump up and rush to your bedroom. You fell asleep on the couch with Jaebum, you were showing him all the movies he had claimed to never have seen. You must dozed off, and you must’ve been really tired because you did not hear any of your alarms.
“What’s going on?” Jaebum asks, slowly waking up stretching his long limbs.
“I’m late for work, I gotta go.” You take off yesterday’s clothes, chuck on a sweatshirt, leggings and your trainers. You would brush your teeth at work or if you had time, the bathroom at the subway station.
You sling your jacket on, grab your bag from off the table and finally you rush out the door.
Jaebum shrugs his shoulders and gets up. He walks over to the fridge and takes out some orange juice and drinks it straight from the carton. He discards of the empty carton. He makes his way over to the pantry, ready to find something to devour, but then the doorbell rings. You weren’t expecting anyone, were you?
He wearily opens the door, it was Hoseok.
“I’ve been calling you, I waited at the station for a-.” He looks up, from his phone
“Oh it’s you. Where is MY girlfriend?” He asks.
“She’s gone to work, she was running late, we were up late last night.” Jaebum says, smirking.
He could see that Hoseok was getting riled up.
Jaebum watches as he frantically presses his phone.
“내 피 땀 눈물, 내 마지막 춤을.”
The famous BTS song arose from your couch. The boys both look over at it. Hoseok pushes Jaebum aside and pulls your phone from the couch. His eyes meet the screen, full of notifications, 10 missed calls, 50 texts, and 10 snapchats. He had been trying to get hold of you since the evening before.
“She forgot her fucking phone.” He mumbles under his breath.
“Oh what a shame.” Jaebum says sarcastically.
Hoseok turns and glares at Jaebum, he was sick of seeing his face, tired of hearing his voice. He didn’t know why you trusted him so much, he was a stranger you met on the street. He could easily murder you in your sleep or steal everything in your apartment while you went to work.
“I’m her boyfriend.” Hoseok states.
“Congratulations.” Jaebum says, sarcastically.
“She doesn’t like you, she has me.” Hoseok, staring him down.
“I don’t know who you’re trying to reassure, because your words mean nothing to me. Maybe if you weren’t such an asshole-“Hoseok fist strikes Jaebum’s cheek.
“Why don’t you pack your shit, I think it’d be better for you. We don’t want a repeat of this do we?” A smirk rests on his face. He sounded threatening, right? He wasn’t just going to get rid of Jaebum, he was going to bruise his ego.
Jaebum held in his strength because if he really wanted to, he could kill your puny boyfriend with two fingers. He feigns pain and clutches his cheek. He watches as Hoseok leaves the apartment.
You get back from work, you were exhausted. The day felt so disjointed, once you got to work you realised that your shirt was back to front and your leggings were dirty. You didn’t have a phone so you couldn’t call anyone. So you ended up buying new clothes, you even picked up a few things for dinner.
“Jaebum! I’m home!” You shout, expecting him come out of his room.
There was no reply. You go to his room and knock on the door, no answer. You open the door and check inside, his bed was made and he was nowhere to be found. Where would he go? Maybe he left, he had to someday. He had no ties to you. You perch on his bed, and run your hands through your hair, you missed him.
Jaebum walks through the door, exhausted, he had been out all day looking for jobs, but they could only consider him if he had a CV, a valid social security number and a passport. He had none of that.
You heard the front door slam and you get up, running to the living room. As soon as you see him you lunge at him, wrapping your arms around his mid-section. Just being around him calmed you, your once rapidly beating heart was beating at steady pace. The sweat on your brows was drying.
“Where have you been?” You ask him, tightening your grip.
He leans into the embrace, resting his hands your lower back, breathing you in. This feeling was strange feeling in his chest, an overwhelming ball of emotion.
“I went to go look for a job, but I don’t have any documentation.” He whispers into your hair.
You pull from the hug and step back, reality had hit you. You didn’t know him, you had a boyfriend. You felt oddly cold, being away from him.
“Oh, well, we will have to sort that out, I’m pretty sure I’ll be fine supporting us two. Hoseok doesn’t come around often anyway.”
“Speaking of the devil, he came around this morning, because he had been waiting for you or something. Anyway, it resulted in him forcing himself in, punching and threatening me.” Jaebum explains, sitting down on the couch.
“Oh my God! Yeah I forgot my phone at home. He never acts like that, are you okay?” You ask, concerned, your fingers gently brushing his hair.
He could feel himself crumble under your touch, you had some sort of power over him. Something he had never felt before.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I had to hold myself back though, I’m pretty sure, you would like your boyfriend’s face to remain in a normal order.” He confesses, putting his feet on the table.
“Yah! Put your feet down, I eat on this table!” You exclaim, slapping his feet.
He chuckles, slowly placing his feet on the floor. He catches himself staring at you as you text on your phone. He took in every detail on your face, while fighting the urge to touch you.
You texted Hoseok apologising for today, you honestly did not mean to ignore him. Your head was all over the place. You typed out a lengthy apology and awaited for his reply. The mysterious three dots appeared on the screen. And a couple of seconds later, he replies.
‘Can I come over? I miss you’
You knew what he meant by that, you knew you wouldn’t be comfortable engaging in that kind of activity while Jaebum was in the house, but you also knew that it was a lie. You didn’t want engage in that sort of activity with Hoseok, not anymore.
‘I miss you too, but I have chores to do, I’m free on Saturday though’
You quickly type and send.
‘Whatever’ He replies.
You roll your eyes, he always became an asshole when he didn’t get his way. You chuck your phone on the couch.
“What’s wrong?” Jaebum questions, moving closer to you.
“Nothing, just Hoseok doing what he usual does.” You say sighing.
Suddenly you felt his hands on your shoulders, he began rubbing them. You let a small moan as he seemed to rub the stress out of your body.
“Tell me about yourself.” Jaebum demands, shifting in his spot.
“Well, where do I start? I come from a small town in the middle of nowhere, I am an only child, and I am pretty sure that I’m adopted. I don’t really look like anyone in my family. My family is really religious-. “Jaebum cuts you off.
“Do you believe in God?” He asks you, removing his hands from your body.
You shiver at the loss of warmth.
“I have a strange relationship with God, if that make sense? I feel like I know him. But I don’t pray or go to church or a mosque but I feel heavily connected. Like there is a strong pull. Oh no! You must think I’m weird.” You exclaim, covering your face.
“No, I don’t get what you mean.” He felt the exact same, because he did know God.
“So what about you? Do you have any siblings? Or does the ‘devil’ know no one?” You joke, removing your hands from your face and turning to face him.
“I am from far away. I have 6 brothers and 2 sisters. I’ve always been an outcast, ever since I was crea- born. I had a rebellious stage and just stuck with it.” Jaebum tells you, looking off into the distance, you could tell that it was something that troubled him.
“You must’ve had a lot of people to talk to with 8 other siblings. You know I always begged my parents for a little brother or sister but they never gave in.”
“Heh, I wish it was like that, but I never felt so alone, I would have all these people around me, but I would feel isolated. And when my Dad kicked me out, the feeling got worse, I was surrounded by all these bad people and that’s when I realised that I wasn’t as bad as everyone made me out to be. But I had to survive, I was falling and I couldn’t get back up, so instead of setting my sights on the kingdom I stayed in the shadows. I-. “Tears well up in his eyes, and you feel that you are on the verge of tears, everything he said sounded familiar. You had always felt alone, not just because you were an only child, you had the social skills and you had a lot of friends, but all of them felt disposable, you were never all the way invested. Even with Hoseok, you were just with him because he asked you out and you found him somewhat attractive. You had known him for a while and it just felt like the right thing to do. However, with Jaebum everything felt so natural, like you had known him your whole life, the empty space inside was starting to close the more you were around him.
“It’s like you read my mind. Just know that you have me now, you don’t have to stay in the shadows and you don’t have to reach the ‘kingdom’. Just stay where you feel comfortable.” You wrap your arms around him and you feel him hug you back.
It felt so right like you were made to do this, to be here in the moment. All of a sudden you feel a power surge through you and it felt like time stood still. You had a vision of you and Jaebum, you were in what looked like a dream land. Your backs decorated with heavenly wings. Suddenly then a black mist encased both of you, and Jaebum’ wings turned black and they droop to the floor.
The vision frightens you and you pull away. It couldn’t have been a dream, you were awake. You were standing here. Your body feels strange, like your walking on air. You lock eyes with Jaebum and you see his mouth moving but you don’t hear any words, just a loud high pitch tone. And then you see black. Next thing you know, you were waking up to shouting.
“What the fuck did you do to her?” Hoseok yells at Jaebum from the chair beside your bed.
You turn your head and look through your eyelashes, Jaebum was standing across the room, leaning against your dressing table. His once styled hair was tousled as he ran his fingers through his jet black locks.
“I told you. I. didn’t. Do. Anything.” Jaebum says through gritted teeth.
Hoseok scoffs and gets up, walking towards Jaebum. You could see he was trying to contain his anger, there was more to him than he showed. Your vision made it clear, he was magical, a mystery.
“Stop!” You shout out, sitting up.
Hoseok stops in his tracks and turns around to face you. He is light and quick on his feet as he rushes to you.
“Baby, are you okay? What happened to you? What did he do?” He questions, holding your face in his hands.
You smile and hug him.
“I’m fine, I guess I must’ve fainted. I had a hard day at work and I’ve just been so busy. Exhaustion got the best of me.” You give a shy smile.
He hugs you back and you at look Jaebum over your boyfriend’s shoulder. He shyly smiles.
“Thank you.” You mouth. He just nods in response, leaving the room.
Shortly after he leaves, you hear his bedroom door slam.
“I’m staying tonight. I don’t trust him with you, while you’re not strong enough to defend yourself. Ah! That bastard, I told him to leave and he’s still here trying to take advantage.” Hoseok tells you, pulling away from the hug.
“You what? Don’t tell him leave. This is my apartment, I’m the one who gets to decide who stays and who goes. And I want him to stay. He’s my friend.” You tell him, crossing your arms.
“Friend? You’ve known him for two weeks.” Hoseok scoffs.
Two weeks? That was all? It felt like you had known him for a life time, you already couldn’t imagine your life without him. You were too tired to start arguing with Hoseok, so you just stay silent and turn over in your bed. Hoseok sighs and slides in next to you.
You wake up and it’s dark, you guessing it’s still late at night or its early morning. You wiggle out of your boyfriend’s grip and pick up your phone. It was 2:15 am. After lying there for a bit your stomach starts growling. You hadn’t eaten since lunch and you were starving. You tip toe out of bed and out of your room and into the kitchen.
As you boiled the kettle for your ramyun, you thought of Jaebum. He wouldn’t have eaten dinner yet, and you knew how hungry he got. You leave the kitchen to knock on his door. You stop when see a familiar white light leak from under the door. It was like the light from two days ago, like the light from your vision. You couldn’t stop yourself from opening the door.
