not to fall back on the time travel trope for ffvii but i'm totally falling back on the time travel trope for ffvii

It's not specifically that it's easy, moreso i love the options with it. Like in mine i'm having a character who isn't a main character do the time travel. Occasionally they'll sort of second as a main character but only every once a while if at all. And that's interesting to me because it's like. The main pairing and everyone (or most of the people, save one) surrounding them are none the wiser to time and the fabric of the universe itself being unwoven and rewoven right before them like????

obviously it's still interesting if it's the main character time travelling, of course it is, but i just don't wanna take such an easy route. "What if cloud was a time traveller?" is such an often asked question; of course i'm choosing someone else
