#WHEW finally finished an animatic again

WHEW BOY I have been sitting on this animatic for 2 YEARS 🙃.

I first posted this as a WIP on DA here and I planned on finishing it way sooner, but I never got around to getting back to it until now. I think the main factors that made me procrastinate so much was that for a long time I didn’t know how to fill in certain gaps of the animatic. I didn’t know how I wanted it to look… Then I finally chipped away at it again maybe last year? Or several months ago… and I finally filled in the rest of the gaps. And then, because I felt like the audio was too low, I wanted to put subtitles to make sure you knew what they were saying. But then that became too tedious, which made me stall more… and eventually I just decided to amplify the audio to make it louder, and ditch the subs. And now we’re here. I see things that could be better/fixed and made to look nicer, but I’m calling it done lol. Overall, I do still like how this came out, and even though it’s really janky and messy. Audio was taken from here!

Midnight Circus (by Yuzuki, for Pocket Mirror).  I’ve been listening to the entire soundtrack nonstop for a few months now, but I figured I’d just pick one of my favorites for this list.

Megalovania (by Toby Fox, specifically the Undertale version).  I don’t even think it’s the best song on the soundtrack, but I listened to it on repeat while I was packing to move.

Medicines (by the Taxpayers).  I listen to a lot of Sawbones.

Dark Undercoat (by Emily Jane White).  This is just a slow, chill song.  I haven’t really looked much at the lyrics, but it’s exactly the kind of music I enjoy.

One Headlight (by the Wallflowers).  This song will be on all of my lists like these forever.  I sometimes go a little while without listening to it, and then the second I listen to it again, I fall in love again.  This is probably my favorite song in the whole world.

Pompeii (by Bastille).  This is such a good Stolen Century song and if I had any real drawing abilities and the ability to finish literally any project ever, I would make an animatic for this so fast.

You’re Not Alone! (for Final Fantasy IX, remixed by Kate Covington).  Specifically because I’ve been replaying FF9 lately, but also because this version of the song is so good.

Somewhere Only We Know (cover by Lily Allen, originally by Keane).  The ultimate John & Merle song.  I cry every time I listen to it, particularly in Lily Allen’s cover of it.

Bratja (from Fullmetal Alchemist).  This is the song that I start singing to myself whenever I have a song in my head that I don’t like, so that I get this song in my head instead.

Katrinah Josephina (by Universal Hall Pass).  I have spent literal years trying to figure out what is going on in this song, and I still have no idea.  But I love it nonetheless.
