Public transportation has a significant negative influence on the environment and resources as a result of sustainable growth. I believe that after four years in Nanjing, the city's public transportation system—which includes buses, subways, trams, and shared bicycles—is comparatively complete. To achieve the goals of energy saving and pollution reduction, Nanjing's public transportation system uses electric, renewable energy, and other technical solutions. Trams are widely used for public transportation in Nanjing Development Zone. These trams benefit from low noise levels and environmental protection, and a significant quantity of clean energy lowers carbon emissions.

My main public transportation experience in Nanjing has been reducing traffic congestion. It allows for the transportation of more people on the same amount of road space, lowers the number of private automobile journeys, eases the issue of traffic congestion, and lowers the number of pollutants released during traffic jams. The top priorities should be to increase urban transportation's effectiveness, lower carbon emissions, and give city dwellers more dependable and convenient transit options. With six subway lines, three trams, and more than 1,000 buses, Nanjing's urban area is served by a three-dimensional public transportation system.

Travel still has its restrictions, though. Although Nanjing's public transportation system has been nearly flawless, some neighborhoods and portions continue to lack public transportation line coverage, which causes some residents inconvenience. Moreover, there is no direct access to Nanjing's recently constructed neighborhoods. Also, Nanjing's public transportation operations need to be run much more efficiently. The travel experience of residents is impacted by some buses that are not packed sufficiently, and by the occasionally lengthy wait periods to board one. Buses in Nanjing are frequently scarce during peak hours, forcing people to cram onto them and annoying locals. The public transportation system in Nanjing has made fruitful investigations and attempts in energy conservation and pollution reduction, public transportation promotion, intelligent management, public bicycles, and other areas that have aided in the city's sustainable growth.
