today was a Beautiful Day
you know why? i saw my first manx shearwaters of 2024!!!
#contact call#saw them sitting on the water through the scope and thought they were auks#then they took off and i could see those lovely long wings and my heart LIFTED#WE ARE BACK IN SHEARWATER BUSINESS BABEY#oh yeah i saw some distant basking sharks too!#which is why i had the scope out in the first place#cool sharks and cool birds all in one day
