WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP6 PART FOUR

It’s the weekend. I’m sure my husband is gone and is working on his precious project. I’m thinking of taking the day to treat myself. I think I deserve it.

*Loud Noises*

What the hell is that?

Dakota: Theo?

Theo: Did I scare you? I’m sorry babe.

Why is he here………. He told me he planned to be at work.

Theo: Are you going to be mad at me forever?

Dakota: Mhm.

Theo: In that case, I need you to take a ride with me.

Dakota: A ride where?

Theo: It’s a surprise.

Dakota: A surprise….

Theo: I want to show you what I’ve been working on.

Dakota: Why now?

Theo: Last night was the first night you didn’t fall asleep on me snoring.

Theo: I didn’t really like that. It’s part of our routine.

Okay, that was cute…

Dakota: Well.. let’s go.

We get in the car and Theo drives about 30 minutes away, opposite of his job.

Dakota: Uh, babe….

Theo: We’re almost there.

Dakota: Where is there?

Theo: You’ll see soon.

Theo parks the car in a cute neighborhood. When we get out of the car, he covers my eyes and directs me to a location.

Theo: Okay, you ready?

Dakota: Please.

Dakota: Where are we? Whose house is this?

Theo: Ours.

Dakota: Theo, really. Where are we?

Theo: At our new house.

Wait, he looks very serious.

Dakota: Theo, are you serious?

Theo: Yes, baby. This is our home.

Dakota: ARE YOU SERIOUS??

Theo: I told you it was a surprise.

Dakota: When…. How? Hello?

Theo: I wanted to give you your dream home for our first anniversary. I started working on it a few weeks before we got married.

Theo: I was *hoping* to wait a little longer before showing you but I rather be able to sleep close to you at night.

Dakota: Theo baby, this house looks so expensive.

Theo: It was, but I had a fund saved for it and I also put most of my signing bonus to cost.

Dakota: Baby, this is amazing!!!!

Dakota: I love it. I love you. I love you so much.

Theo: I love you too babe.

Theo: Let me show you inside.

Theo opens the door and its huge. We have a humongous living room, master kitchen, home office, and gym. I cannot believe this is ours. Theo takes us out back.

Dakota: WE HAVE A POOL?!!!

Theo: I knew you’d be excited about that.

Dakota: I can FINALLY relax in my own pool!!!

Theo: Come upstairs, so you can see the rest of the house.

We head upstairs and he shows me the master bedroom, bathroom, and walk in closet.

Theo: There’s one more room I want to show you.

We walk over to the last room in the hallway. Theo opens the door.

Dakota: Oh my god, baby. A nursery!!

Theo: This is what I’ve been working on for the last month. I wanted to prepare the nursery first before anything else.

Dakota: Its beautiful Theo. It’s perfect.

Dakota: These cribs are beautiful. They look like the ones I have saved on our registry.

Theo: Well, they sold out of those….

Theo: So I built some that look similar to those. Noah helped me.

Dakota: You guys built these??

Theo: And we signed our initials in them.

Dakota: Noah has been here helping you?? FOR A MONTH?

Dakota: We might have to name one of them after him.

Theo: *Laughs*

Dakota: Baby, this is incredible.

Theo: All for you, princess.

Dakota: I love you so much.

Theo: I love you the most.

Dakota: WHEN CAN WE MOVE IN???

Theo: In a few weeks.

Dakota: I’m so excited!!!

Theo: *Laughs* We should probably get back to our current house. All this excitement has probably tired you out.

Dakota: Actually, I’m not tired. In fact, I have a lot of energy I could burn….

Theo: Oh?

Dakota: Mhmmm.

Theo: Let’s get the hell out of here then.

Theo has given me so many gifts, and this might be the second best one. I’m so excited to move into my dream home!

Windenburg Years : Season Two Premiere - The Announcement

Welcome back everyone! The last few weeks have been so event filled.

In case you missed it, Theo and I got married. The wedding was a dream. My mom had her baby, Dylan. She’s literally a mini version of me. Laura got engaged to Sophie! I’m excited to be her maid of honor. Theo and I went on our honeymoon. Mt. Komorebi is so beautiful in the summer. While we were there, we found out the biggest news of all.

I’m pregnant!

Finding out I was pregnant on my honeymoon was wild. It did, however, explain the weeks of nausea and exhaustion. I’m currently 11 weeks, which means I was pregnant at my wedding. I’m grateful the baby is safe and healthy because Theo and I got so drunk at our wedding.

Speaking of Theo, he’s SO PUMPED to be a dad. He has not stopped talking about the baby since we found out. He’s so ready to tell everyone, so we are planning a surprise announcement at our place. Our parents, Laura and Noah will be able to make it. Sophie is working, while Chloe and Marcus are currently on vacation.

Also, I’m trying out blonde hair for a little bit. I couldn’t commit to it with my natural hair, so I got a nice wig. Theo LOVES it. I mean L O V E S it. Let’s just say if I wasn’t pregnant now, I would have most likely ended up pregnant……

I’ll be 12 weeks on the day of the party, so we figured it would be the perfect time to announce it. I can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions, especially my dad’s.

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP8 (SEASON FINALE): Babymoon

Having your own pool is the best thing ever. I love being able to wake up, throw on my bathing suit and just relax. I also love that I don't have to worry about children peeing in the pool, seeing as mine will not be able to use it for some time.  Theo being able to work from home is the best thing ever as well. He seems to be enjoying his perks. I made him come in the pool with me for once because he’s always at that damn computer. He can take a break for once. 

Theo: How is it that you wanted to come out here and swim but I am the only one in the pool? Dakota: I will get in shortly. I like to get my feet wet first. 

Dakota: Besides, I feel like if I got in immediately I would sink or splash all the water out with the size that I am.  Theo: *Laughs* You are not that big.  Dakota: I am humongous.  Theo: You are not babe. 

I love that he is supportive and encouraging but he needs to stop lying right damn now. 

Dakota: I am quite tired of being pregnant.  Dakota: I cannot see my feet. I am incredibly tired all the time. My hormones are on fire.  Theo: I don’t really mind that last one…. Dakota: Of course you don't. Theo: *Laughs* Dakota: You better enjoy it, because once the girls get here, we’ll have to schedule time for sex. Theo: *Laughs* Theo: I don’t think it will be that bad babe.  Dakota: We’ll see, we will definitely see.  Theo: Oh, I wanted to talk to you about something.  Please. Everytime he says that I get stressed.  Theo: It's nothing bad, do not stress.  Dakota: Just lay it on me. Theo: I was thinking since you won't be able to travel soon, we could get one more trip in.  Theo: A babymoon. 

That is so cute. He’s so precious. 

Dakota: Where were you thinking? Theo: Well Noah seems to think we are still mad at him, so he gave us a vacation in Ciudad Enamorada.  Dakota: No he didn't.  Theo: He did. He also knew to tell me first and not you as he knew you’d tell him no.  Theo: I’m not saying no to a free vacation.  Dakota: Now why would he do that?? I literally told him I am not mad at him.  Theo: He said it was also his wedding gift to us. Dakota: Wait, he didn't get us a wedding gift? Theo: *Laughs*  Dakota: What kind of best man is he?  Theo: One that put his feelings aside for us to be where we currently are right now.  Dakota: You always take his side, pfft.  Theo: *Laughs* Theo: You’re going to have a blast, I have a lot of fun stuff planned for us.  Dakota: You already planned activities? Theo: Of course.  Dakota: So what do I need to do at this point? Theo: Just tell me what you want to pack and I’ll pack your suitcase.

Oh thank goodness he offered. I was dreading packing. 

Dakota: You’re such a sweetie. I love you so much. 

Theo: I love you too baby. 

Theo: Now get in the water with me.  Dakota: Get ready for a tidal wave. 

*Dakota drops in*

Theo: Look at that, all the water is in fact still in the pool.  Dakota: I’m still sinking….

Theo: *Laughs*

I guess I am not *really* upset about a free vacation. I don't know why Noah can’t just take my word that I’m not mad at him. I’m gonna have to call and yell at him, then thank him for the LATE wedding gift.  Off to CE we go!

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP8 (SEASON FINALE) PART TWO

After a long ass plane ride where I had to pee every 45 mins, we finally made it to CE! It's so beautiful. The murals, the homes, and architecture is incredible! I can’t wait to explore a bit more.  The rental home that we are staying in is beautiful! I guess I’ll let it slide that Noah waited almost a year after we got married to gift us this. 

Theo: Noah left us a note. 

“Dakota and Theo, please enjoy your babymoon. I know my gift is late and I’ll hear about this from Koda soon, but better late than never right? Love yall. 

Ps. The bedroom has a special feature for you guys. 

Love, Noah.”

Dakota: A special feature? Theo: Let's go find out. 

We get in the bedroom to drop our bags, and Noah is so stupid. 

Theo: It's a heart shaped bed.  Dakota: He’s so dumb. It’s cute.  Theo: Wait, there’s another note and a remote. Dakota: I feel like we’re solving a puzzle.  Theo presses the remote and the bed starts vibrating….. Dakota: Oh my god, he’s such a perv.  Theo: I don’t know, I kinda like it.  Dakota: Of course you do, perv.  Theo: *Laughs*  Theo: It will help with your back pain.  Dakota: Cause that’s what he was thinking about when he set this up, right.  Dakota: It's still pretty early, so I am going to take a nap before we head to dinner.  Theo: You want me to turn on the bed? Dakota: I cannot stand either of you.  Theo: *Laughs* I’ll lay down with you. 

Theo and I take a nap before we get ready for dinner. He wasn't really clear where we were going first. Once we wake up, we both get ready for dinner. I figured we were going out for dinner but Theo had a cute surprise up his sleeve. 

Theo: I know you get pretty tired around this time, so I didn't want to take you out for dinner. I hired a chef to make us dinner here.  Dakota: That was so thoughtful baby. Thank you. I love it. We go in the backyard where the chef has our dinner spread setup.  Dakota: EVERYTHING LOOKS AND SMELLS AMAZING. Theo: Yes, everything looks great. 

We sit down and begin to enjoy our meal. 

Theo: I like the bangs babe.  Dakota: I wasn't sure about them at first but if you like them then I’m good. Theo: You typically look great all the time.  Dakota: You have to say that, you’re my husband. Theo: *Laughs* Dakota: Oh my god try this, it's so good. 

Dakota: I fear I’ll finish the whole spread tonight. 

Theo: You think so…. Dakota: IT'S SO YUMMY. After a few helpings of dinner, I am finally full. 

Theo: You…. were not kidding.  Dakota: It was really good. Thank you babe.  Theo: Of course.  Dakota: I’m so happy to be here with you. I’m glad we get this time together because soon it's going to be chaos. 

Theo: Yeah, but it's chaos we get to tag team together.  Theo: I set up this blanket so we can relax and stargaze. 

He’s so sweet. 

Dakota: The sky here looks 10x better than back home. 

Theo: I was going to say, it looks a bit different. 

Theo: Wow, I am actually getting tired for once.  Dakota: Oh, I wanted to try out the bed but we can go straight to sleep if you want. 

Theo: You know I just got a burst of energy. It was so sudden.  Dakota: *Laughs* 

Dakota: We should go in now before I actually get tired.

I really want us to enjoy this vacation. Once we get back to windenburg, it's back to work and then preparing for the birth of our girls.

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP8 (SEASON FINALE) PART THREE

Today Theo and I are going shopping in the plaza. There’s so many beautiful shops and businesses to see! We also of course made sure to stop and eat lunch. I wish I could bring the food back with me. It’s so good. I wanted to take back some of the art pieces I saw, so Theo arranged for them to be shipped back home. 

After shopping, Theo had a surprise activity for us. We arrived at what looks like a secluded home, but once we get inside, it’s a private painting studio! 

Dakota: Baby, this is such a cute idea. 

Theo: I knew you’d like it.  Dakota: What are you going to paint?

Theo: Eh, I’m just gonna go with the flow.

Dakota: That’s cute. I’m going to try a portrait.  Dakota: How is work going babe? Theo: Great actually. I honestly figured I’d be more stressed but it’s not bad at all.  Theo: Ted and I have a few projects we want to look into.  Dakota: Oh boy.  Theo: *Laughs* Don’t worry, we have a team dedicated to them.  Theo: Perks of being at the top of the organizational chart. Dakota: Well, that makes me happy. I don’t have to schedule time with my husband. Theo: Speaking of time, the reason I was locked in the office for like two days was because I was getting things prepared and set up for when I take leave. I will be on leave for 16 weeks, then I’ll work from home the remainder of their first year.  Dakota: Are you sure babe? Four months away from work seems risky.  Theo: Absolutely. I planned to enjoy the first few months with you and our girls.  Dakota: I’m so happy.  Theo: And I plan to keep it this way.  Dakota: Well since we’re on the topic, I think I know what I want to do for leave. Theo: Oh? Dakota: I think I want to take the first year off.  Theo: And you’re sure about this? I know you love your work. Dakota: I do, but I want to just enjoy being a mom for the first year, you know? Theo: I think that’s a great decision babe.  Theo: I think when we get back, you should just go ahead and start your leave. It will give you some time to yourself before the girls get here.  Dakota: You think so?

Theo: Yes.  Dakota: Thank you for always supporting me babe.

Theo: I’ll always support you. I love you. 

Dakota: I love you too baby.

Dakota: I see you went in a more abstract direction. Theo: *Laughs* 

I’m actually excited about staying home with the girls. I want to be there every step of the moment.

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP8 (SEASON FINALE) PART FOUR

It's our last day in CE. Theo found an intimate beach for us to have a picnic on. This has been such a relaxing babymoon. 

Dakota: This is such a nice beach. It's so peaceful. 

Theo: Yeah, it is. I think I found the perfect spot too.  Dakota: You did. Look at the view. It reminds me of when we were in Tomarang. Theo: You know it's funny you mentioned that. I was just thinking about that. Dakota: Tomarang? Theo: Mhm. You know I don't think I ever mentioned this, but Laura ripped me a new one when I got there.  Dakota: She did?

Theo: Yes. When I was unpacking in my room, she came in and talked to me.  Dakota: She’s never told me this.  Theo: She basically told me I didn’t deserve to be there and that she wouldn't allow me to toy with your heart. Theo: Which was never my intention. I came because I wanted to be with you.  Dakota: Laura was the one who was there for me the most after our breakup. I understand why she was so protective. I was in a very bad headspace for a very long time. 

Theo: I’m so sorry.  Dakota: Theo. Stop. Theo: I’ll never hurt you again. I know that for sure.  Dakota: I believed you when you said it the first time babe.  Dakota: It's okay to forgive yourself, Theo. 

Theo: I love you so much.  Dakota: I love you too baby.  Dakota: Besides, we have twins on the way. You actually are trapped.  Theo: *Laughs*  Dakota: There is no one I’d rather be laid up on the beach with than you. 

I hope he can finally forgive himself and not dwell on the past so much. He is the most amazing husband, and I can't wait to see him as superdad.  I’m about 4 weeks away from my due date, and I am so ready to meet my girls.

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP7: THE BABY SHOWER

Theo and I are just about ready to move into our new home. We actually found a buyer for our first one really quick, so everything just flowed really well. I’m so excited about this house! It's perfect. He did a really good job. He’s started his new position with the company and it's going well. He actually has been home a lot, seeing he doesn't necessarily have to always be on campus. 

Theo and I took maternity shots. We did a few together and then I had my own solo shoot. All the photos came out perfect. We really are in the home stretch of this pregnancy. I am only 2 months from my due date. 

Once we are moved in and settled, we will be throwing the baby shower. I’m excited to see everyone, and for them to see how big I’ve gotten because I’m feelin’ very large. Not really in charge though, my body has a mind of its own. 

Noah wants to facetime with me to talk about him bringing his girlfriend. Noah has been hiding this girl from us for almost 2 years. It's about time he finally introduces her to his family essentially. I wonder why it took him so long, but then knowing him; it was because he wanted to be sure. 

I can't wait for the party, and for everyone to see our new home.

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP7 PART TWO

I love being in our new bedroom. It’s HUGE. There’s so much space. We have a fireplace to make it cozy as well. He really went all out for this house. 

Today I have a facetime call with Noah. I don't know if he’s introducing us to her on the call or when they get here. 

Dakota: Noah, please back away from the camera. 

Noah: You don't like my face?

Dakota: No.

Noah: Wow, those babies have made you mean. 

Dakota: *Laughs*

Dakota: So where is she?

Noah: She’s not here right now. She’ll be home later. 

Dakota: So what is this call about?

Noah: Well, I just want you guys to keep an open mind when you meet her. 

Dakota: Is she a criminal or something Noah?

Noah: No, of course not. 

Noah: I just want you guys to know she makes me happy and we have a really good relationship. 

Dakota: You are scaring me now Noah.

Noah: *Laughs*

Noah: Don't be scared. Just be open. 

Dakota: Well, I can't wait to see you. My belly is twice as big as when you last saw it. 

Noah: I bought the best present. 

Dakota: You know Laura said the same thing. 

Noah: Mine is actually better. 

Dakota: *Laughs* 

Dakota: I’m sure they are both great. 

*A woman starts speaking in the background*

Dakota: Oh, is she back? Let me meet her!

Noah: And would you look at that, I have to help her with groceries. I’ll see you at the party. 

Dakota: Whatever, bye.

Noah: Love ya

Dakota: Yeah, yeah. Bye. 

Noah is working very hard to keep her identity a secret. I really wonder who it is at this point?

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP7 PART THREE

Today is the day of the baby shower! I’m so happy at how everything turned out. Everyone was able to make it, I’m so happy! Noah is on his way so I am very much anticipating his arrival. He’s probably being dramatic and there was never a need for us to be prepped. 

I see Noah coming in and he puts his big ass gift(s) down. He and Laura were really competing with each other. It's very funny. 

Right behind him, I see a woman but I can't make out her face just yet. 

Theo: Is that her?

Dakota: Yep, I can't see her face yet she’s turned around. 

Theo: Something about her looks familiar. 

Dakota: OH, does it?

Theo: Not like that, jesus. 

Dakota: *Laughs*

Noah grabs her hand and she turns around. To Theo and I’s surprise, now I see why he was so nervous to bring her. 

Theo: Is that…. who I think it is?

Dakota: You gotta be kidding me...

It's Raegan. Noah is dating Raegan, and has been hiding it from us for almost two years. 

Theo: This is very interesting.

Dakota: You got that damn right. No wonder he kept telling me to keep an open mind. 

Noah and Raegan come up and approach us. 

Noah: Well, I would introduce you guys but you may already know one another. 

Raegan: Nice to see the both of you. 

Raegan: Dakota, you look so beautiful. Congratulations.

Dakota: Thank you. That’s very nice of you. 

Theo: I’m gonna go get some more treats put out. 

Dakota: Thanks baby. 

Noah knew if he told me beforehand, I may have told him he couldn't bring her. This isn't any better, seeing you tricked your way into bringing her….

Noah: Look at them growing!

Noah: You know, I’m their favorite uncle. 

Dakota: You’re literally their only uncle. 

Noah and Raegan: *Laughs*

Noah: Babe, I wanted to talk to Koda about something really quick. 

Raegan: Okay, I’ll be over here helping Laura and Sophie. 

Noah takes me over into a quiet corner to talk to me. 

Noah: Are you upset with me?

Dakota: Why didn’t you tell me it was her?

Noah: You can't answer a question with a question. 

Dakota: My day, my rules. 

Noah: Gosh, still stubborn I see.

Noah: I knew you would feel some kind of way seeing your past. 

Dakota: So you thought springing her on me would make it easier?

Noah: Well… No, but I knew you  wouldn't want both of us to leave the party….

Noah: I’m sorry. I realize now I should have probably just told you both. 

Dakota: Uh yeah, Noah. 

Noah: I promise, she’s not the same person you knew in college. Even Laura and Sophie seem to like her. 

Dakota: Wait, did they find out before me?

Noah: Uh…..

Dakota: Wow, everyone is hiding shit from me. 

Noah: Please don't get upset. 

Noah: I am not trying to ruin the shower. 

Noah: Laura and Sophie were introduced a few months ago. We ran in to them while out to eat.

The fact that Laura didn't mention it to me is wild. She knows how I feel about her. 

I see Laura coming over to us out of the corner of my eye. 

Laura: Are you guys good?

Dakota: Oh yeah, just having a conversation about everyone including you knowing who he was dating while Theo and I were left in the dark.

Laura: Koda, I’m sorry. I wanted to tell you. I really did.

Noah: I specifically asked her not to say anything to you. She’s being honest about wanting to.

Laura: I told you this would piss her off. You don't listen. 

Theo: Look, we can all talk about this later at the house but right now, it's about our girls; and my wife is not going to be upset at her babyshower. Table it for now. 

Theo: Dakota baby, let's go start the shower games. 

Dakota: Okay.

Noah: Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Noah: She probably hates us now. 

Laura: She might hate you. She knows I tried to tell her. 

Noah: You’re welcome for backing you up.

Theo and I enjoyed the rest of the party. I am not going to let this ruin our day. When it came time to take photos, I didn't want her to feel excluded, so I invited her in. Noah seemed to be happy about that, but this doesn't change anything. I’m still upset with him and Laura. Noah more so than Laura.

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP7 FOUR

After the party, everyone came back to see our new home. Noah has already seen the home, seeing he helped Theo with the cribs. After the tour, everyone left except Noah and Laura. They really wanted to talk to me before they left. Noah doesn't want me to be upset with Laura because she was just honoring his wishes (which I can understand). He sincerely apologized to me and Theo. He does want us to remain open though, as he claims she’s different now and just wants to keep the peace. I told Noah that I am happy he found someone he loves. If he's genuinely happy, I am happy for him. He promises that if this doesn't work out and he moves on to someone knew, I will be the first person to know. Serves him right, damn near ruining my baby shower.  Theo and I are now getting ready for bed. It's been a hell of a day. 

Dakota: You want to try my new face mask with me?

Theo: Of course babe.

Dakota: It's green tea. I need something to soothe me after today. 

Theo: That was a mess. 

Dakota: Wow, your face is so smooth and clear. 

Theo: Mom’s genes. 

Dakota: You know what bothered me the most about the whole thing?

Theo: What?

Dakota: That he felt he couldn't just tell me. Regardless of how I felt about her, I wouldn't have just denounced their relationship. 

Dakota: I hate being the last one to know. It doesn’t feel good….

Theo: I feel like some of that stems from me….

Theo: I’m sorry. 

Dakota: Babe, you cannot continue to beat yourself up about something that happened forever ago. 

Dakota: We are married, with two girls on the way. I’m not blaming you. 

Theo: I know, but sometimes I just feel bad.

Dakota: Dont. 

Dakota: I’m very happy with our life. 

Dakota: I’m happy with you. 

Dakota: I love you, so so much. 

Theo: I love you too babe. 

Dakota: But let’s not dwell on this either. Noah and Laura both apologized. I’m going to move on. 

Theo: Good. 

Theo: Now that we’re at home and you can't commit a crime, I can tell you that she tried flirting with me at the party.

Dakota: I knew she wasn't completely changed *eye rolls*

Dakota: She better not hurt him. I’ll drop these babies and drop her ass. 

Theo: *Laughs*

Theo: Your mama is so violent, yes she is.

Dakota: *Laughs*

I think the lesson here for everyone is that I should NEVER be the last one to know anything or all hell will break loose. I did have a good time for the most part at the shower. By the way, regarding the gift competition, I’d say Noah won this round; Only because Theo was very excited. Laura got me the expensive stroller I talked about from my registry.. Noah got them both custom made power wheels with their names on the license plate. Theo is so excited to play with those.  Just a few more weeks and our girls will be here!

WINDENBURG YEARS S2EP6: THE SURPRISE

It’s been nice having Theo home *slightly* more than he’s been, however. He’s been working every weekend, and I would rather he be home then, seeing I do not work them.

Dakota: We should go see a movie this weekend. We haven’t been out on the weekend in like 2 months.

Theo: I would love to baby, but I am going into the office that day.

Dakota: You have been in the office for the last month every weekend. What are you working on?!

Theo: Just a side project…

Dakota:……. And that is?

Theo: It’s a lot to explain.

Dakota: Well, I want to see you on the weekends.

Theo: You will babe, it’s almost done.

Theo: Come get comfortable.

I don’t understand why Theo is being so secretive when it comes to his work. He’s always shared what he’s working on, so this is starting to concern and piss me off. You know what I’ll do? I’m going to call him and tell him we’re going out this weekend.

Theo: Hey babe.

Dakota: Hi sweetie.

Dakota: I want to go to this art showing this weekend. I’m going to buy the tickets for us.

Theo: Oh babe, I will be in the office this weekend again.

Dakota: Theo, this is ridiculous.

Theo: Baby, I promise it is almost over.

Dakota: I would be more accepting if you told me what you were doing.

Theo: It’s just some new processes babe.

Dakota: And you can’t do this from home at least?

Theo just walked in for work and immediately came in the house looking to talk. I hope he’s finally going to tell me what he’s doing. If it isn’t anything bad, why are you hiding it?

Dakota: Are you finally going to tell me what you are doing Theo?

Theo: Dakota, why can’t you let this go for now. Just a little longer.

Dakota: I told you, if you told me what you were working on I would be more understanding, but you are treating it like it’s a secret.

Dakota: Are you trying to hack Landgraab Systems or something?

Theo: Dakota.

Dakota: I don’t understand why you can’t tell me!

Theo: I just need you to be patient with me. PLEASE.

Dakota: Fine, Theo.

Dakota: I’ll stop asking…..

Theo: I shouldn’t have yelled. I’m sorry.

Dakota: I’m going to go lay down.

The bigger my stomach gets, the less it seems I can do for myself. I am sitting here 5 months pregnant, and I cannot shave my legs myself.

Dakota: This is embarrassing.

Theo: *Laughs* Don’t be babe, I like helping you.

Dakota: I know, but I feel like I should be able to landscape my own body.

Theo: Don’t worry, I’ll make sure they are spotless.

Dakota: You’re such a sweetie.

Theo: Not as sweet as you.

Dakota: You want some tonight, don’t you?

Theo: *Laughs*.

Theo: Oh baby, I meant to tell you. I got an email from the CEO. He wants to meet with me tomorrow.

Dakota: Is it about the project?

Theo: Most likely, I finished my part. He might want to go over it with me.

Dakota: Well good luck. I know it will be good. You are very good at your job.

Dakota: *Yawns*

Theo: All done. You can go lay on the bed now.

Dakota: Will you massage my stomach please?

Theo: Of course.

Theo: I don’t think the meeting is over anything bad, at least I hope. Now I’m starting to get nervous.

Dakota: Don’t be nervous babe.

Theo: Yeah, you’re right. Everything should be fine.

Theo: The CEO and I have a decent relationship, so I don’t think it’s anything bad.

Dakota: *Snoring*

Theo: I am never going to get used to her falling asleep so fast.

(Theo’s POV)

Today I am meeting with the CEO. I’m pretty nervous now after thinking about what this could be about. When I walked in, he seemed to look like he was in a good mood. Here we go.

CE0: Ah Theo, please sit.

Theo: Thank you sir.

CEO: Call me Ted.

Theo: *Shakes head*

CEO: The reason I called you here today Theo, is that I have an offer for you.

Theo: What kind of offer, sir?

CE0: Melvin is retiring.

Theo: The CTO?

CEO: Yes. His granddaughter was just born, and he wanted to finally retire, so he can be a grandparent.

Theo: That sounds great for him. My daughters will be born in a few months.

CE0: Even more reason for you to consider this offer.

CE0: I want you to take his place.

No way…

Theo: As CTO, sir?

CEO: I couldn’t think of a better person to take over.

CEO: Take a look at the official offer.

Theo: Wow, this is great sir. Can I have a day to think about it?

CEO: Oh? Do you have some concerns?

Theo: My wife is getting further along in her pregnancy, and I want to be able to be present.

CEO: I understand.

CEO: What if I threw in a remote office and unlimited time off after your babies are born?

Theo: I wouldn’t need unlimited time sir, just a few months maybe.

CEO: You can take as long as you need, Theo.

Theo: Well in that case, I’ll accept the position.

CEO: Great! That’s the answer I was looking for. Here is your starting offer.

HOLYSHIT.

Theo: This is great sir. Thank you for the opportunity. I really appreciate it.

CEO: Theo, you have done amazing work for our company. You should be rewarded as such.

Theo: Thank you sir. I can’t believe it. I can’t wait to leave and tell Dakota
