The hilarity of the two new jobs as they pertain to Jak is too good not to post about -

So her twin brother, @miqo-vynnie, has long had viper themes! And Jak is an exceedingly good artist with a photographic recall when it comes to her art/sketches!

But given the actual aesthetics of Viper and Picto... there is no way Jak would ever be a Picto (pastels make her want to punch babies), but Vynnie absolutely would. And Viper's edgy aesthetic is perfect for Jak, and a bit less so for Vynnie (plus he's the magic user, and she's more the melee-based one). I just... can't get over how funny it is that they made the Vynnie and Jak classes but inverted the aesthetics!

[Truthful Thursday] How'd Phe get into performing? Did it start with the Tarts or before that?

"Aw shit." Phe rubs the back of her neck as she thinks about that. "I mean, I've always been one for showing off right? But I only really started full stage performances when I joined the Tarts. Some arena fights I was a part of were kinda like performances....except everything was real and on the line, but it had to be entertaining, right?" She pauses and thinks about that again. "...Nah. Not the same thing. I do bring a lot of those skills to the stage though, especially the last performance I did at Fire Fest! But y'know, yeah. Started with the Tarts, I'm gonna say."

Drabbles from the Void #1

Vynnie took a long sip of his whiskey, wiping the dribble from his lip with his covered wrist. The large mirror he had ordered finally arrived and was put into place; an event which warranted opening his decanter of aging dwarven bourbon and celebrate. He'd been tied up with work for so long, rarely ever did he get the chance to kick back and relax. He pulled a chair up before the mirror which more than tripled him in height and width. "Someone's gonna think I'm full of myself," he chuckled, kicking over a tome as he sat in the chair, facing the mirror. It was no ordinary mirror, or at least, it wouldn't be for long. Vynnie flipped open the book, skimming through it between sips, and studied some strange runes- ones he'd picked up from the Venthyr. They seemed to glow right from the pages, a trait that Vynnie always had found fascinating about magical texts. Trading the glass for said tome, he stood, shadows enveloping his form as was commonly seen amongst the ren'dorei, and he began channeling void energies to the rim of the mirror, tracing it. Thoughts flooded back to him of his time in Revendreth. Magical affinities nearly always alluded him, so he compensated with physical prowess and what little abilities he could master with the void. When he learned of the Venthyr Mirror Network, an idea occurred to him to combine them with void rifts. This mirror was to be the central conduit for the start of his own network. "It'll take most of my damned energy to keep this gate active... More than one permanent mirror might be beyond me, but..." He finished outlining the mirror, "... this should suffice to receive me from other temporary gates..." He hummed out loud. The mirror then took on that selfsame shadowy exterior, now thrumming with void energy. He smiles, overjoyed to see the beginnings of his project work. With a timid step forward, he reaches out to touch the mirror, only for a magical hum to sound from the other side of the room. He jumps slightly, though quickly recovers once he realizes it's a sending crystal. He throws back the rest of his bourbon as he takes long strides to the table where the crystal was at. "Never do get enough time to myself," he sighs. He picks the crystal up and speaks into it, "This is Vynnie." "Got another mark for ya, details are in the usual spot in Olde Town." Vynnie held back a groan, "Got it. I'll be there by nightfall. Just finishing up here." The crystal dulls as the message is received and Vynnie immediately grabs his things, taking one last proud look at the void mirror. "Soon~"
