The Celtic Management of 'Zara'
Although until its IPO it preferred to keep a low profile, Inditex presented this week in Florence, in front of more than a thousand executives, the keys to Zara's success. Juan Carlos Cubeiro explains what he calls a Celtic Management .
The Triumph of Freedom. The Celts were a people of free people, grouped into clans (clan is a Gaelic word that means children). Amancio Ortega has dedicated his company to freedom: the freedom of customers, who can touch the clothes and shuffle them without being harassed by the shop assistants; the freedom of its employees, who propose ideas and assume responsibilities at a very young age. And in the Celtic world, unlike the Roman world, women had the same rights and obligations as men.
The Need for Opinion. At Inditex, it is actively encouraged that all entities contribute suggestions. Positive criticism is valued, recognized and demanded. Among the Celts, everyone participated in the assemblies and fought equally. From the opinion of the chain's more than a thousand stores, a different order arises twice a week.
The Sense of Bravery. The Celts were powerful warriors because they believed in the immortality of the soul. For them, war – today, commercial war – was freedom and courage. That is the spirit that has guided a company that has gone from being present in nine countries to thirty-three in five years, opening a new store every two days.
The Proximity of the Client. In addition to being warriors, the Celts had a reputation for being hospitable. Guests receive the highest honor. Currently, we talk about the Zara generation, customers who offer a good part of the 22,000 different models (a total of ninety million items), who come once every three weeks to buy. The street (not Paris, not Milan, not New York) is in charge.
The Value of Communication. All language is an interdependent system of relationships in the form of a network, said Saussure. The Celts did not have a written language, because they believed that writing killed the living spirit of knowledge. Something similar happens at Inditex: communication is oral, direct contact, not by e-mail.
The Power of the Triad: The success of many companies, such as Sony, SAP or Hewlett-Packard, is understood from tandem leadership: leader-manager. At Inditex, an intuitive visionary, a financial strategist and an efficient manager are combined: a triad, a three-leaf clover, very typical of the Celtic world. The order of wise men was made up of the bard (historian), the vate (diviner) and the druid (the guardian of the mysteries).
Community Trust. In Galicia there remain more than 5,000 Celtic forts (nuclei of about ten homes). In addition to the group's 24,000 employees, another 10,000 people (in four hundred workshops) work indirectly for Inditex. They follow the philosophy of vertical integration, ninety percent of production is carried out in Europe, which is more expensive but allows for a faster response. The result is a headquarters with the area of one hundred football stadiums.
Shared Pride and Individual Humility. Flexibility is a quality common to the Group's professionals, which requires a lot of humility. The founder of Inditex is an example of simplicity. “Celtic, in the frugal, spiritual and simple,” wrote the romantic historian Benito Vicetto. Criticizing competitors is not allowed. The only valid pride is collective.
The Virtue of Entrepreneurship. Every Celt shared the values of wisdom, loyalty, bravery and generosity. At Inditex, the two hundred designers have to sell their collections to the commercial directors and they to the store managers. There is no imposition. The managers are the ones who identify what the client wants.
The Advantage of Cultivating. Hiring at Inditex is not a secret (the CV counts for very little), but development is. The cultural immersion is very strong, six months at headquarters and in stores for the director of a country before taking office). On the other hand, beauty is a consequence, in addition to physical appearance, of the level of self-esteem. For this reason, at Inditex we value the ability of each human being to give the best image of themselves. Something also characteristic of Celtic culture: to the banquets (a social institution) men and women were well dressed and groomed. Soap is a Celtic invention.
The Level of Demand. It is said that Inditex pays 50% better than others, but demands 100%. The level of rotation is very low. All employees have shares in the company
The Use of Speed. The Celtic armies were not orderly, but they were fast. Compared to the traditional one-year planning, most Zara models go from sketch to store in three weeks.
Management by Common Sense. Intuition, so valued in the arts, is despised in business, except at Zara. It is the fruit of experience and reflection. The average training period for a druid was 20 years. Common sense stands out in many of its decisions: in the face of its competitors' online euphoria, Zara stayed on the sidelines.
Thirteen keys, like the thirteen months of the Celtic calendar. Inditex has broken the rules of its market:
freedom versus order,
speed versus planning,
integration versus subcontracting,
intuition versus rationality…
It is the most spectacular example, but not the only one, of Celtic management.
There are Pescanova, Zeltia, Televés and a good part of fashion as representatives of a new style. Faced with Latin Caesarism and Anglo-Saxon technocracy, this is how business is understood in Western Finisterre.

#astro post - bnha
Okay, so this is more of a shit post than an official post, but I was bored and reading astrology stuffs. As you may know, I love signs, rising and all, so here’s my notes about my personal favorite characters in bnha (Hawks, Dabi & Bakugo). Warning: for the years, I determined it with their ages at the exact year they arrived in the manga so it might not be totally logical (Like Hawks is between 22 and 23 while Dabi around 24-25 but they have a gap of 5 years). I was surprised how accurate some parts were. Be the judge !
© all credits to The Pattern
Hawks
𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚍𝚊𝚢 : 𝚍𝚎𝚌𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛 𝟸𝟾𝚝𝚑 (𝟷𝟿𝟿𝟼) 𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚎 : 𝙵𝚞𝚔𝚞𝚘𝚔𝚊, 𝙹𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚗 𝚂𝚞𝚗 𝚜𝚒𝚐𝚗 : 𝙲𝚊𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚗 - 𝙰𝚜𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 : 𝙰𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜
Courageous & Charismatic
At his best, Hawks’s independent, charismatic, generous and sure of himself. He has many talents and skills and the courage to make his life up any way that he desires. His confidence in himself can inspire others, making him an infectious and exciting person to be around. A natural leader, he has visionary qualities and trusts his instincts.
Alternatively, when Keigo’s struggling, it can be difficult for him to see beyond his own interests and projects. This may lead others to view him as egotistical, entitled or selfish. It may be hard for him to account for another person’s perspective or take feedback from others.
Integrity & Perfectionism
At his best, Keigo can align his drive and ambition with his sense of integrity and find a calling that he loves. Detail-oriented and meticulous, he’s able to immerse himself in his work in a healthy way and achieve profound results. Hawks is intended to find sacred work and devote himself to his passions.
Alternatively, when he’s struggling, he can pick himself apart and be overwhelmingly self-critical. He could be in his head a lot and overanalyze or obsess. He might feel self-conscious or different from others. It could seem like he’s continually being disrupted and that no matter how hard he works it’s never enough or “perfect”. At times, it might seem like it’s too hard to find anything worth doing - so he gives up and isolates himself or sells out. Keigo can act antisocial or controlling if things aren’t exactly how he wants.
Expecting someone inspiring
Keigo may have had difficult or disappointing relationship experiences. He might expect to be with someone who takes him on adventures and has a strong sense of direction - they trust themselves. They’re independent and have a purpose that guides and inspires their path. (Endeavor *cough*)
But instead, he may find himself with people who are emotionally unavailable. Often they’re loners, so they may seem restless and easily bored or trapped if things aren’t interesting enough. It’s possible they have a flawed sense of direction and don’t know where they’re going ) so Keigo’s following someone who’s lost. Or he may avoid relationships altogether out of fear.
Dabi
𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚍𝚊𝚢 : 𝙹𝚊𝚗𝚞𝚊𝚛𝚢 𝟷𝟾𝚝𝚑 (𝟷𝟿𝟿𝟷) 𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚎 : 𝚂𝚑𝚒𝚣𝚞𝚘𝚔𝚊, 𝙹𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚗 𝚂𝚞𝚗 𝚜𝚒𝚐𝚗 : 𝙲𝚊𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚗 - 𝙰𝚜𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 : 𝚃𝚊𝚞𝚛𝚞𝚜
Rebellious or Inhibited
At his best, Dabi’s able to embrace his uniqueness. He can channel his unusual and provocative viewpoint in a way that enlightens people and expands their minds. By feeling his emotions and accepting the illogical, he’s able to translate the chaos of life into a remarkable contribution.
Alternatively, when he’s struggling, he enjoys pushing buttons. He rebels for rebellion’s sake, possibly enjoying his outsider status and feeling superior in his separateness.
Or Dabi might feel trapped or overwhelmed, like there’s no place to hide from the mess of life. Things could seem out of control or threatening, like it’s dangerous to be different. In response, Dabi could hide his unique side and try to conform and stay within certain limits.
Unusual & Elegant
Part of Dabi’s life’s journey is learning to be more grounded. His instinct is to be independent, detached and mentally focus. Especially from a young age, he may have preferred intellectual to physical pursuits ; it may have been difficult for him to get close to others or enjoy sensory experiences.
Yet Dabi’s discovering that there’s a part of him that can be more present than he’d realized, although it might be hard to acknowledge it. He might feel torn between standing apart from others and being unattached - or needing to be intimate with another person. He may be unsure whether he should give up his freedom to find what makes him feel good or feel secure and comforted.
Feelings of Inadequacy
It hasn’t been easy for Toya. As a child, he may have felt pressured to prove himself - but no matter how much he achieved, it didn’t seem like enough. As an adult, he may feel blocked from reaching his full potential, even if he’s successful. Toya’s self-critical and can feel judged by other people. Though he’s more driven than most, it’s important that he’s working hard for something he enjoys. (Sheit, this app is crazy)
Self-possessed & Deep
At Toya’s best, he’s at ease with himself and can take pleasure in his experiences. He can share himself and become incredibly close with another person. He can be willing to let go of creature comforts and deal with chaos or even extreme, illogical circumstances. It’s like he’s able to accept that everything doesn’t always have to feel good or be pleasurable.
Alternatively, Toya might struggle with intimacy and feel anxious. It might be difficult for him to feel comfortable or relaxed. When he tries to take it easy, something often disrupts him. He may not feel safe or secure, financially or otherwise.
Expecting someone unique
Toya may have had difficult or disappointing relationship experiences. He might expect to be with someone who stands apart from the mainstream. There’s something special about them ; they’re unafraid to be individuals.
But instead, he may have dealt with partners who were erratic and irrational. Or he’s stayed away from relationships because they can be so unsettling or out of control. The partners Dabi dates tend to have trouble intimacy : they can be distant and cold. Or the overreact and become melodramatic when he tries to connect.
Katsuki Bakugo
𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚍𝚊𝚢 : 𝙰𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚕 𝟸𝟶𝚝𝚑 (𝟷𝟿𝟿𝟿) 𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚎 : 𝚂𝚑𝚒𝚣𝚞𝚘𝚔𝚊, 𝙹𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚗 𝚂𝚞𝚗 𝚜𝚒𝚐𝚗 : 𝙰𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜 - 𝙰𝚜𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 : 𝙻𝚒𝚘𝚗
Intensity & Strength
At is best, Bakugo has a strong sense of self, is able to focus his power and can achieve great results. There’s a sense of inner strength and confidence - he knows he can make anything happen. His feelings are powerful and he’s passionate about his interests.
Alternatively, when he’s struggling, it feels like he’s blocked from following his desires. It’s like he can’t express his intensity or feel things deeply - and instead becomes meek or repressed. Or he acts out, constantly fighting against the boundaries he feels. Katsuki might be reckless, but even when he’s able to exert his poser he often can’t enjoy it.
Powerful & Deep
At his best, Katsuki has a strong sense of self and pursues what makes him feel alive. He’s passionate and can mush himself to the edge, delving deeply into what he enjoys.
Ketsuki’s able to harness his incredible power and ability to provoke people and channel it toward something positive. He can demonstrate to others how to take risks and go beyond the edge, inspiring them to embrace the unknown. He’s able to help others feel their feelings and not shy away from intensity. He’s capable of transformation and reinventing himself.
Alternatively, if he’s struggling, he may feel unable to be himself and get what he wants. Irrational events and situations prevent him from following his desires. In response, Katsuki might go to extremes to prove he can still feel and indulges in addictive behaviors. Or Bakugo fears that if he really embraced his power someone would be hurt - so he represses himself, bringing on anxiety and depression.
Seductive or Moody
Bakugo has the capacity to be incredibly present and go deeply into what he enjoys. He’s able to own his unusual strength and magnetism and focus on what make him feel alive in a balanced, healthy way.
When Ketsuki’s struggling, channelling his strength in a meaningful way seems delayed - and he feels unable to connect to his power. Hi might change his mind a lot or lose sight of what he wants and feel overwhelmed by the choices.
Or it could seem like there’s no limit to what turns Katsuki on - and he finds it hard to take a break and check in with reality. He might be so consumed by his passions that he excludes other parts of his life. It’s possible that his interests become obsessions and Katsuki doesn’t feel like himself unless he’s doing them all the time.
Expecting someone inspiring
Katsuki may have had difficult or disappointing relationship experiences and could struggle connecting to his partners. He might expect to be with someone who makes him laugh. But instead, he may find himself with types who are threatened by emotions and avoid intimacy - or cause trouble as a way to cope with their feelings.
To prevent himself from getting hurt and keep his distance, he may avoid commitment or act immature or sarcastic. It’s possible that Katsuki is the one who’s detached and emotionally unavailable or he could shut down and avoid relationships altogether. Katsuki may have been lied to or felt like his partners are messing with his mind on purpose, and he could stay in dysfunctional relationships longer than is healthy for him

The Leadership of Apple
Apple is a multinational corporation that is mostly involved in the manufacturing and selling of smartphones, tablets, computers, and other miscellaneous smart devices. The Company has dominated the market maintaining one of if not the best smartphone brands in the world. Apple stands out from the rest of its competitors for its bold and revolutionary products and design which would introduce many groundbreaking ideas such as touch screen devices, wearable technology, and innovative usage of its properties. The company has gone through its share of rough patches but has always stood the stand of time no matter what thanks to the many leaders that have shaped the companies direction. Through the years Apple has had a wide variety of CEO’s that have led the company in many different directions, however, the three CEOs that we will discuss in this paper are different from the rest with their bold and innovative leadership skills that impacted and laid the groundwork for the future growth of the company.
John Scully
Laid down the foundation for his successors and the future of Apple as a whole. Originally he was the CEO at Pepsi Cola Inc. He came in during a turbulent time during the company’s history with the departure of Steve Jobs from the company Sculley really had to prove he could lead the company to greater heights. He delegated many task-based on functionality and whether they were viable to the companies success. Each task that needed to be done would be assigned to a group that would focus solely on that task and that was his leadership style in a nutshell. He was a straightforward leader who did what needed to be done. He wanted Apple to rival companies like IBM who were the most dominant computer manufacturers at the time however this would lead to rising costs from Apple to keep up with competitors which would hurt the company in the Long run. His Leadership Style would rank at a level 3 as he manages team members and assets to reach his objective. As shown in the way he thought about tasks and the people working under him he had a very straightforward way of leading them to accomplish the task he thought were necessary for the companies success. He did not take that extra step to really acknowledge the vital importance of his employees and just treated them like faceless workers . He also did not have any particular passion or vision for the company other than for it to continue. Overall, his leadership style lacked the necessary passion and the humility to really bump his leadership style to the next level.
Steve Jobs
The most impactful changes happened under Steve Jobs as he had the strongest set of ideals out of any of the CEOs before him. Jobs was notorious for being a perfectionist that would drive others to work in unethical circumstances and he had no mercy on work that he deemed not worth his time. Steve Jobs has a variety of leadership qualities, particularly he had a clear vision that drove him onwards, a passion for the company, and an ability to inspire trust with his passion. Steve Jobs had a minimalist approach to his work and gave a lot of importance to aesthetics as he wanted everything to be perfect. He came with a vision to “change the world” with Apple. Jobs’ leadership style is described by many to be autocratic in nature as he had the final say on all decisions and if something wasn’t to his liking he would scrap the project then and there. His Leadership Style would rank at Level 4 as it is characterized as a person who is committed to and vigorously pursues a clear and compelling vision while also stimulating the group to high-performance standards. As shown time and time again Steve Jobs was a visionary who had a clear goal and would go to any lengths to achieve his ideal perfection. This passion would spur people to rally behind him but, what stops him from reaching Level 5 would be his uncompromising beliefs that would often time lead him to ignore the words of others.
youtube
Tim Cook
The Current CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, focuses mainly on maintaining the growth of Apple rather than creating new products or any changes. Cook mainly focuses on enhancing the experience of already existing products. His leadership qualities are described as "cautious, collaborative and tactical" and he gained all the qualities during his time working in Apple and eventually having the world's largest company under his direction. His time as CEO hasn’t seen much innovation however there has been a greater focus on existing products and promoting the company as well as employee relationships.
Instead of following in the steps of Steve Jobs' autocratic leadership style, Cook has played to his strengths and understands that the most powerful tool he has is the people themselves. Cook has placed a large emphasis on advancing cooperation among Apple's lineup of talent. This really exemplifies his democratic style of management, as he often encourages consensus building, particularly among high-level employees prior to rather than making all the decisions himself. His Leadership Style would rank most on Level 5 as he builds excellence through dedication and humility which were things that even Steve Jobs lacked. Tim Cook knows that he is only as strong as his people so he doesn't put himself on a pedestal and acknowledges that everyone plays their part in the system. He also is dedicated and knows what exactly the business is capable of and uses the companies unique qualities to his advantage
What we Learned about Leadership
We learned that Leadership styles are situational as they are highly dependent on the needs of the company at any given time. However, strong leaders are always needed to spearhead innovation and growth within companies and they also need to take into account the needs of their workers before themselves. Depending on the situation your behavior should vary depending on circumstances. Leaders must have a clear vision for their team and their company. This vision should inspire the people working in the company and everyone in the company should share that belief. People should be motivated and excited to be a part of that vision and the journey that they will take during their time at the company. Above all else, a leader must trust his people, the company, must love his customers, and have a burning desire to help everyone not just himself.

A brief history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (without Yemen)
Arabia is a large piece of desert land situated in Western Asia. It was inhabited by many individual tribes know as Bedouins. Some Bedouin communities are still around today.
Example of how the Saudi military would have looked like.
Solid gold watches with Saud’s face printed in the middle where given as gifts to friends of the crown.
King Faisal was declared as Time magazine’s ‘Man Of The Year’ for his progressive views and actions.
In the 7th century the religion of Islam was founded by the Prophet Muhammad (PuH) who built Mosques in Mecca and Medina, which were territories in Arabia. These places had and have holy significance to Muslims (followers of the religion of Islam) all around the world, and would be the most important destinations for Islamic pilgrims. Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (not related to the Prophet Muhammad) started a new, very radical strand of Islam called Wahhabism in the 18th century. He had extreme beliefs about the importance of going to battle, the rights of women, and the prohibition of technical innovation. Wahhabism’s central belief is that Muslims is that modernisation is sinful and so seek to live their lives as though they are still in the 7th century. Although this strand starkly contradicted the peaceful message of Islam, many people did adopt this belief system and are called Wahhabi’s. Wahhabis still believe that they hold the one true doctrine and recognise people belonging to other belief systems (including other Muslims) as their enemy. One Bedouin tribe was the Saud family. In the mid 18th century, the visionary leader of the tribe, Muhammad ibn Suad, wanted to gain power over all the other tribes and conquer Arabia. To do this, they needed a military, but they had none. They needed the help of the Wahhabis.
The Wahhabis would give their military to the Saud family in exchange for political and religious influence when the family succeeded in ruling the area. An alliance was born. Slowly but surely the Saud family conquered major parts of Arabia. In 1924, the leader of the tribe Abdul Aziz bin Rama al Saud (or ‘ibn Saud’ for short) took over Mecca and Medina. The family gained much of it’s wealth and power by charging pilgrims who came to visit these holy sites. Now that lots of Arabia was conquered by the Saud family and the tribes who allied with them, the area is recognised as ‘The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’ meaning the parts of Arabia belonging to the Saudi family. The Wahabis now had more authority including control over the educational and legal systems. A new source of revenue presented itself to the Saudi’s when oil was found in neighbouring countries. Ibn Saudi sought to take advantage of this and allowed the Oil Company of Souther California to find and drill oil reserves in Saudi Arabia. This was at the time of the Great Depression where oil was scarce in America. President Roosevelt knew that he needed to make an alliance with Saudi Arabia in order to obtain its vast amounts of oil. The wealth of Saudi family boomed, and ties grew strong between the West and Saudi Arabia. After Ibn Saud died, his brother Suad was appointed ruler of Saudi Arabia. Yet, it was suspected that he could not be trusted with money due to his extravagant lifestyle and the Kingdom would soon run into dept. The Wahhabis also disapproved of his relationship with the Egyptian president and socialist Gamal Nasser (who had Soviet connections). He was declared unfit to rule and was replaced by his brother Faisal, who became the regions most popular monarchs. King Faisal worked to propel the Kingdom into the modern age, introducing better hospitals, opening schools for girls and the abolishing slavery with the help of John F Kennedy, all against the will of the Wahhabis. Furthermore, King Faisal did not support the state of Israel which meant that relations were damaged between Saudi and the United States. King Faisal was later assassinated. The Wahhabis were angered by the Soviets invasion in neighbouring Afghanistan. Saudi Arabia and America’s mutual disapproval of the Soviet Union worked to re-strengthen their relationship and America supplied Saudi Arabia with weapons, money and military training to the Saudi troops to help defeat the Soviets. A young Osama Bin-Laden was one of Saudi fighters who fought in Afghanistan. In 1990, the dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussain, invaded Kuwait. The Saudi monarch invited American and foreign militaries to station themselves inside their Kingdom to help fight against Saddam Hussain. This was objected by the radical religious authorities since they did not want foreign forces on their lands. To satisfy the conservatives, King Fahad *directed more funds towards them. This solution backfired since now that the radicals had more power, they sought to make Saudi Arabia a much more conservative place again. This involved removing women’s rights to study and work, and introducing more funding to conservative movements outside the Kingdom. Some American troops stayed after the Gulf war, which aggravated these groups even more, leading to a rise in terrorism against Americans living in Saudi Arabia. There are speculations that this triggered the horrific events of 9 11. The UK’s Serious Fraud Office started an investigation to verify the claim that some Saudi officials took bribes from major arms manufacturer, BAE systems. The investigation was ordered to be stopped by then Prime Minister Tony Blair and many where upset by his unpecedented compromise of the UK’s judicial systems and ideals of democracy. This is just another example of how the West will readily break down their values just to keep Saudi Arabia happy, so that they can keep their profitable ties with the kingdom, such as selling them weapons. The new King Abdullah wanted to modernise Saudi Arabia again and move away from the conservative religious establishments. He also sought to expand his economy by trading with other countries like India and China. Saudi Arabia is investing more money into education and sciences so that it can be less dependant on its finite natural resource and work to establish itself as a stable economy in the future. In 2009, King Abdullah announced that he was dismissing ultra-conservatives from their high positions. By distancing themselves from their tribal Bedouin roots, progress is being made today. For example, female ministers are being appointed, there are many more career and business opportunities and international artists are invited to perform concerts inside the Kingdom. Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman has publicly promised to end Saudi extremism. It is a shame that many people fail to educate themselves about the religion which is represented by one quarter of our worlds population. By lack of the want to learn more about the world around us, many people only see the radical strands of Islam, such as Wahhabism, and are quick to slur this mislead idea onto of the whole of Islam. I myself have met a shocking amount of non-Muslims who are certain that Islam is a violent, backward, women hating religion, even while the strong majority of Muslims support the Islamic ideals of peace, innovation and protection of human rights, just as the Prophet Muhammad tried to push for thousands of years before.

7 Levels of Internet Marketers
If you want to jump-start your life and your business, you have to know what type of Internet Marketer you are.
True financial success only comes to those that master this concept. So ask yourself, "Do you know what kind of Internet marketer you are"?
Have your marketing experiences on the Net been positive, negative or mixed?
As you read through the seven levels of marketers provided below, I want you to know that at various times in my life, I have been at almost every single one of them. It was only as my knowledge and experience increased that I was able to upgrade to the level I am at today.
At some point while reading the descriptions of each level, you will probably recognize where you are or where other people are you know.
I recommend while reading you write down where you currently are as you discover your level, to help improve your awareness of your current strategy. This will also help you realize where you need to go.
Here are the seven levels of Internet marketers.
Level 1 - The Mooches
The "Mooches" are people at the very bottom level of marketing. They're clueless and sit around wasting their time. Most are completely ignorant of the moneymaking opportunities available on the Web. These people spend their time whining about their financial status without taking the time to evaluate what they need to do to get ahead.
Most Mooches don't have a clue about Internet marketing. If you ask them what the Internet is for, they'll say, "to chat" or "to e-mail friends" or even better, "to watch porn". You know, something useless.
Lever 2 - The Wanna-Be
The "Wanna-Be" has ambition, but not enough. They wander around in the dark looking under stones for a magic treasure box. They want to make money, but don't have a clue how. They get sucked into ridiculous scams and waste their money on garbage ideas that won't get them anywhere. They need to get smart quick about where they need to go to turn their life around.
Most Wanna-Be marketers have heard of the Internet and know people who make money on the Net, so they are easily excited about opportunities. Unfortunately they spend most of their money on MLM and other moneymaking scams rather than chasing real opportunities.
Lever 3 - The Pretend To Be
The "Pretend To Be" is living a lie. They pretend to work hard, to do what it takes to get where they need to be. But they don't actually DO anything. Most are perfectionists, worried about getting it right the first time. They don't realize just how much they can learn even by making a few mistakes.
Most Pretenders are waiting for the perfect time to start a new business. They don't realize the perfect time is NOW. They talk talk talk about starting an Internet business but lack the guts necessary to DO IT. Many have successful offline businesses and spend lots of their hard earned money attending seminars and buying e-books about Internet marketing.
A good example of a Pretender is a successful overworked doctor who spends $20,000 on info-products but doesn't develop a website. The Pretender doesn't understand a key principle of this industry… You don't have to get it right the first time; you just have to get started.
Level 4 - The Newbie
The "Newbie" is on their way to the fast track, they just lack experience. They have the desire to learn and grow, and may have the skill and talent necessary. They jump into opportunities with all the freshness one would expect of an eager beaver in the industry. They have done some homework, but lack the technical know how to get where they need to be.
There is hope for the Newbie. They feel excited and probably have read a few books about Internet marketing. Unlike Pretenders, they are willing to invest a lot of time in themselves. They will buy resale rights, reprint rights, licenses of many products… but lack the know how about how to market them.
Level 5 - The Marketer
The "Marketer" is well on their way to victory. They are making some money. They are strong marketers. They still lack the ambition necessary however to get off their butt and do what they need to do to truly realize victory.
Most Marketers have a website or a moneymaker but don't have a business. They posses a strong understanding of marketing, copywriting and traffic generation and have a clear sense of what their audience is looking for. They are often leaders within their niche and make good money.
They enjoy a comfortable living. The problem is they are sitting on their "ass-ets" and thinking what they have accomplished so far is all they can do. They fail to realize there is more opportunity available if they are willing to put in a little extra effort.
Level 6 - The Master
The "Master" is a smart marketing agent. They are making good money, and can teach others how to do the same. Most are visionaries, charismatic leaders who have a good handle on everything they need to succeed. They'll fail only if they stop thinking about what more they can do. There is always more success just around the corner, if only one takes the time to look.
The Master marketers are millionaires, or at least making 6 figures a year. They are leaders in their industry. They are well versed in direct response marketing and can teach others. They have a vast amount of knowledge both online and offline and experience working in different businesses.
Most have experience working with adversity. They are high performance people who make great mentors. Most understand traffic conversion and traffic generation.
The Master marketer can get into any niche and make money, even if they don't have any affinity or experience working with a niche.
They recognize the Internet is nothing more than a medium they can use to make money. They integrate online and offline marketing. They posses a solid understanding of copywriting, testing and tacking. They build a team of experts around them and delegate responsibility to talented people.
Level 7 - The Entrepreneur
This is where everyone should aspire to be. The Entrepreneur has already achieved true victory. They are the models that others try to mimic and follow. If you ask me, your goals should be no less than achieving "The Entrepreneur " statue.
These are the multimillionaires, the master sales people and the master marketers. They have a strong team of talented people with different expertise surrounding them.
These are the people taking their companies public. They are raising capital and selling to the public… to shareholders… but not to customers.
They have an exit strategy in place before starting something new. They recognize the purpose of a business is to sell it or put it on autopilot so they can enjoy their lives to the fullest. This is where you want to be.
Example: ebay.com, google.com, yahoo.com… etc.
So now I ask you… Which one are you? Which one do you want to be? The people you know, which level are they at? Are they realizing their dreams? Why or why not?
You have to ask questions, have a firm understanding of where you are NOW and where you WANT to be soon if you want to succeed. Don't just charge ahead blindly, but don't sit on you're ass either.
If you want to succeed, take charge of your life and your financial future. Find out where you are, and what steps you need to take to be where you want to be.

Thomas Edison Biography
Thomas Edison - Inventor
The inventor of the light bulb, phonograph, and motion picture, Thomas Edison was granted 400 patents from 1879 to 1886. Though he changed technology forever, not all of his inventions were successful.
Biog Born on February 11, 1847, in Milan, Ohio, Thomas Edison rose from humble beginnings to work as an inventor of major technology. Setting up a lab in Menlo Park, some of the products he developed included the telegraph, phonograph, the first commercially practical incandescent electric light bulb, alkaline storage batteries and Kinetograph (a camera for motion pictures). He died on October 18, 1931, in West Orange, New Jersey. Younger Years Inventor Thomas Alva Edison was born on February 11, 1847, in Milan, Ohio. He was the last of the seven children of Samuel and Nancy Edison. Thomas's father was an exiled political activist from Canada. His mother, an accomplished school teacher, was a major influence in Thomas’ early life. An early bout with scarlet fever as well as ear infections left him with hearing difficulties in both ears, a malady that would eventually leave him nearly deaf as an adult. Edison would later recount as an adult, with variations on the story, that he lost his hearing due to a train incident where his ears were injured. But others have tended to discount this as the sole cause of his hearing loss. In 1854, the family moved to Port Huron, Michigan, where Edison attended public school for a total of 12 weeks. A hyperactive child, prone to distraction, he was deemed "difficult" by his teacher. His mother quickly pulled him from school and taught him at home. At age 11, he showed a voracious appetite for knowledge, reading books on a wide range of subjects. In this wide-open curriculum Edison developed a process for self-education and learning independently that would serve him throughout his life. Early Career At age 12, Edison set out to put much of that education to work. He convinced his parents to let him sell newspapers to passengers along the Grand Trunk Railroad line. Exploiting his access to the news bulletins teletyped to the station office each day, Thomas began publishing his own small newspaper, called the Grand Trunk Herald. The up-to-date articles were a hit with passengers. This was the first of what would become a long string of entrepreneurial ventures where he saw a need and capitalized on opportunity. Edison also used his access to the railroad to conduct chemical experiments in a small laboratory he set up in a train baggage car. During one of his experiments, a chemical fire started and the car caught fire. The conductor rushed in and struck Thomas on the side of the head, probably furthering some of his hearing loss. He was kicked off the train and forced to sell his newspapers at various stations along the route. While he worked for the railroad, a near-tragic event turned fortuitous for the young man. After Edison saved a 3-year-old from being run over by an errant train, the child’s grateful father rewarded him by teaching him to operate a telegraph. By age 15, he had learned enough to be employed as a telegraph operator. QUOTES - “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” —Thomas Edison For the next five years, Edison traveled throughout the Midwest as an itinerant telegrapher, subbing for those who had gone to the Civil War. In his spare time, he read widely, studied and experimented with telegraph technology, and became familiar with electrical science. In 1866, at age 19, Edison moved to Louisville, Kentucky, working for The Associated Press. The night shift allowed him to spend most of his time reading and experimenting. He developed an unrestricted style of thinking and inquiry, proving things to himself through objective examination and experimentation. Initially, Edison excelled at his telegraph job because early Morse code was inscribed on a piece of paper, so Edison's partial deafness was no handicap. However, as the technology advanced, receivers were increasingly equipped with a sounding key, enabling telegraphers to "read" message by the sound of the clicks. This left Edison disadvantaged, with fewer and fewer opportunities for employment. In 1868, Edison returned home to find his beloved mother was falling into mental illness and his father was out of work. The family was almost destitute. Edison realized he needed to take control of his future. Upon the suggestion of a friend, he ventured to Boston, landing a job for the Western Union Company. At the time, Boston was America's center for science and culture, and Edison revelled in it. In his spare time, he designed and patented an electronic voting recorder for quickly tallying votes in the legislature. However, Massachusetts lawmakers were not interested. As they explained, most legislators didn't want votes tallied quickly. They wanted time to change the minds of fellow legislators.
Becoming an Inventor In 1869, Edison moved to New York City and developed his first invention, an improved stock ticker, the Universal Stock Printer, which synchronized several stock tickers' transactions. The Gold and Stock Telegraph Company was so impressed, they paid him $40,000 for the rights. Edison was only 22 years old. With this success, he quit his work as a telegrapher to devote himself full-time to inventing. In 1870, Thomas Edison set up his first small laboratory and manufacturing facility in Newark, New Jersey, and employed several machinists. As an independent entrepreneur, Edison formed numerous partnerships and developed his products for the highest bidder. Often that was Western Union Telegraph Company, the industry leader, but just as often, it was one of Western Union's rivals. In one such instance, Edison devised for Western Union the quadruplex telegraph, capable of transmitting two signals in two different directions on the same wire, but railroad tycoon Jay Gould snatched the invention from Western Union, paying Edison more than $100,000 in cash, bonds and stock, and generating years of litigation. With his ever-increasing financial success, in 1871 Edison married 16-year-old Mary Stilwell, who was an employee at one of his businesses. During their 13-year marriage, they had three children, Marion, Thomas and William, who became an inventor. Mary died of a suspected brain tumor at the age of 29 in 1884. By the early 1870s, Thomas Edison had acquired a reputation as a first-rate inventor. In 1876, he moved his expanding ope rations to Menlo Park, New Jersey, and built an independent industrial research facility incorporating machine shops and laboratories. That same year, Western Union encouraged him to develop a communication device to compete with Alexander Graham Bell's telephone. He never did. However, in December of 1877, Edison developed a method for recording sound: the phonograph. Though not commercially viable for another decade, the invention brought him worldwide fame. The 1880s would be a busy time for Thomas Edison too. Edison Illuminating Company In the early 1800s, English inventor Humphry Davy created the first early electric arc lamp and during the next several decades scientists such as Warren de la Rue, Joseph Wilson Swan, Henry Woodward and Mathew Evans worked to perfect electric light bulbs or tubes using a vacuum, but were unsuccessful in their attempts to commercialize an efficient electric light bulb. Edison was also driven to perfect a commercially practical incandescent light bulb. After making improvements in his design (as well as buying Woodward and Evans' patent in 1879), he was granted a patent for his own improved light bulb in 1879, and began to manufacture and market it for widespread use. In January 1880, Edison set out to develop a company that would deliver the electricity to power and light the cities of the world. That same year, Edison founded the Edison Illuminating Company—the first investor-owned electric utility—which later became the General Electric Corporation.- In 1881, he left Menlo Park to establish facilities in several cities where electrical systems were being installed. In 1882, the Pearl Street generating station provided 110 volts of electrical power to 59 customers in lower Manhattan. In 1884 Edison's wife, Mary, died, and in 1886, he married Mina Miller, 19 years his junior. In 1887, Edison built an industrial research laboratory in West Orange, New Jersey, which served as the primary research laboratory for the Edison lighting companies. He spent most of his time there, supervising the development of lighting technology and power systems. He also perfected the phonograph, and developed the motion picture camera and the alkaline storage battery. Industrialist and Business Manager Over the next few decades, Edison found his role as inventor transitioning to one as industrialist and business manager. The laboratory in West Orange was too large and complex for any one man to completely manage, and Edison found he was not as successful in his new role as he was in his former one. Edison also found that much of the future development and perfection of his inventions was being conducted by university-trained mathematicians and scientists. He worked best in intimate, unstructured environments with a handful of assistants and was outspoken about his disdain for academia and corporate operations. He eventually became embroiled in a longstanding rivalry with Nikola Tesla, an engineering visionary with academic training who worked with Edison's company for a time, parting ways in 1885. The two would publicly clash about the use of direct current electricity, which Edison favored, vs. alternating currents, which Tesla championed. The latter inventor entered into a partnership with George Westinghouse, an Edison competitor as well, and thus a major business feud over electrical power came into being. One of the unusual and cruel ways Edison tried to convince people of the dangers of alternating current was through public demonstrations in which animals were electrocuted. One of the most infamous of these shows was the 1903 electrocution of a circus elephant named Topsy in New York's Coney Island. On a couple of occasions, Edison was able to turn failure into success. During the 1890s, he built a magnetic iron-ore processing plant in northern New Jersey that proved to be a commercial failure. Later, he was able to salvage the process into a better method for producing cement. On April 23, 1896, Edison became the first person to project a motion picture, holding the world's first motion picture screening at Koster & Bial's Music Hall in New York City. As the automobile industry began to grow, Edison worked on developing a suitable storage battery that could power an electric car. Though the gasoline-powered engine eventually prevailed, Edison designed a battery for the self-starter on the Model T for friend and admirer Henry Ford in 1912. The system was used extensively in the auto industry for decades. During World War I, the U.S. government asked Thomas Edison to head the Naval Consulting Board, which examined inventions submitted for military use. Edison worked on several projects, including submarine detectors and gun-location techniques. However, due to his moral indignation toward violence, he specified that he would work only on defensive weapons, later noting, "I am proud of the fact that I never invented weapons to kill." By the end of the 1920s Thomas Edison was in his 80s and he slowed down somewhat, but not before he applied for the last of his 1,093 U.S. patents, for an apparatus for holding objects during the electroplating process. Edison and his second wife, Mina, spent part of their time at their winter retreat in Fort Myers, Florida, where his friendship with automobile tycoon Henry Ford flourished and he continued to work on several projects, ranging from electric trains to finding a domestic source for natural rubber. Final Years Thomas Edison died of complications of diabetes on October 18, 1931, in his home, "Glenmont," in West Orange, New Jersey. He was 84 years old. Many communities and corporations throughout the world dimmed their lights or briefly turned off their electrical power to commemorate his passing. Edison's career was the quintessential rags-to-riches success story that made him a folk hero in America. An uninhibited egoist, he could be a tyrant to employees and ruthless to competitors. Though he was a publicity seeker, he didn’t socialize well and often neglected his family. By the time he died he was one of the most well-known and respected Americans in the world. He had been at the forefront of America’s first technological revolution and set the stage for the modern electric world. Edison, considered one of America's leading businessmen, is credited today for helping to build America's economy during the nation's vulnerable early years. Being able to package valuable messages in media interviews that viewers and listeners can take action on immediately.
Being offered my own online TV show at the end of 2014.
Being a mother – my children are the inspiration for much of my work.
The Difference Between Good And Great:
“People who are great at what they do are prepared to stick their necks out, be thought leaders and are the go to people in their industry. They are prepared to do what it takes to be successful and are disciplined and focused. They are visionaries in some way shape or form and are often out of the box thinkers, doing things in ways that they have never been done before. They are teachable at the same time as being inspirational.”
A Key Talent:
“Clarity of vision of how I can serve (strongly influenced by my intuition, gut feel and spiritual connection) – creating goals around this vision, but being flexible and adaptable on the way to reaching the goals. Sometimes they can be achieved in very unexpected ways through chance meetings and introductions. Do the work you need to do to become expert at something. Hone your skills. Build your knowledge. Be invested in your own learning – and never think you know everything. Be engaged and inspired by your own learning process. Promote others and they will promote you. Learn from others but do not try to be like them. Network. Read, learn and listen to people on a wide range of topics – that’s how you find ways to make your own expertise more relevant. Make sure that what you have to offer is constantly innovative, real and relevant. Today, that means, updating, reinventing, re-purposing and repositioning yourself all the time as the market is constantly changing, and at a very rapid rate. Be teachable.”
The Characteristics Of Success:
“Razor sharp focus. I am a busy working mum and I don’t have time for redo’s. So do what you do well and do it right. Having opportunity eyes – there is opportunity everywhere. Staying relevant. Being creative and doling things in unique ways. Sharing my own stories makes my work accessible and personal – being prepared to be vulnerable. Discipline. Vision. Flexibility and adaptability.”
Critical Skills I Develop:
“Upping my game with regard to technology. Blogging on a regular basis. Becoming master of the sound bite – being able to pack a punch in 500 words or so. It is an art and a skill that the comes with years of practise. Networking. Constantly honing and crafting my message on the platform as well as through my writing. Using fear and criticism/feedback to galvanise growth. Being prepared to risk and try new things in my business.”
