29 cops suspended on extortion charges in UPs Mirzapur

Uttar Pradesh Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhinandan took action against 29 police officers, who had been exploiting their positions in various police stations for years, by relieving them from duty. This action came two days after 18 people, including 16 touts and two UP Police constables, were arrested for their alleged involvement in extortion of money from truck drivers on the UP-Bihar border. The Mirzapur SP initiated this action after receiving complaints of illegal extortion and other misconduct involving these officers. SP Abhinandan stated that there were consistent complaints regarding illegal extortion and mistreatment of complainants in police stations against the suspended officers. In response to these complaints, a total of 29 officers have been suspended from duty. Among those suspended are: Head Constable Narvesh Kumar Mishra and Shubham Kumar Maurya from City Kotwali Krishna Kumar Pandey from Katra Kotwali Chandrakesh Pandey from Vindhyachal Ajay Pratap Singh from Dehat Kotwali Bheem Kumar Singh, Sushil Singh, and Ramanand Yadav from Chilh police station Bihari Singh and Jwala Singh from Padri Sadanand Tiwari from Kachhwa Nagendra Singh, Vivek Kumar Rai, and Mukesh Chauhan from Chunar Shailendra Singh, Pankaj Dubey, Gyanendra Singh, and Santosh Kharwar from Adalhat Bhanu Pratap Yadav and Chandrashekhar Singh from Jamalpur Virendra Kumar Saroj and Rajit Kumar Saroj from Lalganj Phanindra Kumar Singh from Jigna Krishna Rai and Vijendra Kumar Rai from Ahraura Vikram Vishal Singh, Ghanshyam Singh, and Mukesh Yadav from Madihan Head Constable Raj Singh Rana from Madihan. Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute, along with the Karuna Yoga Foundation & Art of Living, Bengaluru, hosted a grand Yoga Camp and felicitation ceremony to celebrate International Yoga Day 2024.   

The Yoga for Youth Camp, which lasted for 14 days, ended today.

We celebrated International Yoga Day 2024 by honoring the Yoga trainers with a Turban, Patka, and memento.   

International Yoga Trainer & CEO of Karuna Yoga Foundation Ms. Karuna Tyagi & Art of Living Meditation Guru Ms. Madhvi Singh gave valuable Yoga tips to the students & staff of the University.

They appealed to realize the Healthy India mission through Yoga and meditation.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Chief Guest & Keynote Speaker Ms. Karuna Tyagi & Ms. E Madhvi Singh of the Art of Living inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Sarasvati.  

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi & Mr. Naval Sharma Consultant Ministry of Ayush joined them to unveil the mega Yoga Camp cum felicitation ceremony on International Yoga Day 2024.

My love affair with Ugam!

After 14 years, across two stints, I bid farewell to #Ugam. While I grew here as a professional, from a Sr. Associate to Vice President; I have also grown personally – my first kid was born on the day of my induction, financial stability, buying my first car, and most importantly, giving me the identity as MoLo....and many more! While there are numerous people across functions and teams who have played a key role in my journey, it is important that I call out some of the people who have been with me through all the ups and downs.
