viruswing main characters
Our main gal Calamity. Daughter of brightmind and silverscales. Her father recently passed along with her grandfather Darkstone in a mysterious explosion.
Her mother is extremely superstitious. She won't walk under ladders, cross paths with a black cat, place two mirrors facing each other. Etc. While she won't exactly tell her daughter Calamity knows she believes her to be bad luck.
Calamity's life has been boring as she stays in the background going along with whatever her mother wanted. Her grandfather was her best friend for a long time. Now Silvescales is wanting her to marry which is something Calamity hadn't even imagined. Good thing she has 3 mysterious robots to distract her... hey wait-
Muskeg the cyborg. Has bits n pieces from all tribes. Most recent piece being a mechanical eye from a nightwing. He doesn't exactly know why he keeps loosing bits n pieces of his body, he just knows he's constantly replacing them. A gut from seawings, back leg from icewings, heart from the rainwings, an arm from the mudwings, and he used to have wings from skywings... but those go for a lot of gold in the sandwing kingdom.
Overall the story will be following these two as they work toward the mystery behind these viruswing creation and hopefully stopping the hungry creatures from destroying all of dragonkind

I have no tears but I want to cry
(Full story under the cut)
"Are you sure mother would want to see me? I'm not a VirusWing-,"
"Shhhh! Put your visor back on!" Click warned Enamor as the two made their way to Mother's chamber. The small VirusWing made a point of looking around nervously.
Other VirusWings had stopped in the passageway to watch them coldly, and Enamor was unsure if they actually believed he was one of them. If the visor wasn't obscuring his face, the orange lights below his eyes would have given away his nervousness. He looked back at Click, who was staring at the ground with a hollow expression.
"Yeah, that's reassuring," Enamor thought.
Soon enough, they made it to the monolithic doors of Mother's chamber, guarded by several VirusWings who eyed Enamor suspiciously, but seemed to recognize Click immediately and opened the doors without a word. If Enamor still had a heart, it would be fluttering like a leaf in the wind.
"Isn't Mother busy? Does Mother even have the time-,"
"For the last time, yes! Mother loves visitors!" Click cut him off with an exasperated growl. Enamor was slightly taken aback by the sharpness in the tone and immediately quieted. Click looked down again, staring at the ground apologetically. They wouldn't even look him in the eyes.
"Good luck," a guard said as the door was opened enough for the two to walk through.
"What does that mean?" Enamor thought. Click didn't acknowledge the guard, and instead continued forward into Mother's chamber.
Enamor followed closely behind, gazing in wonder at the maze of wires and cables lining the walls and ceiling... until he and Click came to stand before Mother. Despite only being a head and neck, Mother was taller than a 4-story building. Enamor had to crane his neck to look Mother in the eyes, and once he did, he couldn't look away. That gaze was bottomless, and Enamor thought for a moment that he'd drown. He was nearly trembling.
"I didn't make this one. You must be that Automaton Click has been going on about," Mother said.
"You talked about me?" Enamor was pulled from his stupor. Mother already knew about him?
"...Yes?" Click said sheepishly, standing up from his bow to Mother. He was even more nervous now, but Mother was looking down at him expectantly.
"Uh, yeah. I guess that's me then. Hello, your Magesty?" Enamor addressed Mother, hoping he did so properly. "My name is Enamor. I've been told you wanted our uh, help?" He finished, remembering the mission and the reason he was here. The VirusWings wanted help from the Automatons in living on the surface world.
"A tribe of robots, just like us... yet you live with all the others under the sun. Tell me, are you free?" Mother asked, ignoring Enamor's question entirely. Despite Mother's calm tone, Enamor couldn't help but notice something deeper in it. Was that... resentment? As for free... was Mother asking if they were sentient? It seemed like a question Mother would already know by now, if Mother was listening to anything Click blabbed to them about him.
"Free? We're alive, if that's what you mean. We're kind equals, but the other tribes still fear us even though it's been decades since the war." Enamor said. Decades? It had nearly been a hundred years since the war that liberated the Automatons from their commissioner's control. Many dragons still didn't trust them. Many didn't think they were even alive.
"We weren't always robots. We used to be real dragons, but our souls were trapped and forced to kill. We're victims too." He explained. Even after he'd died, Enamor was still fighting. He'd been given the gift of a second life in a new body, only... now he had to fight for his killer. If he was still alive, his chest would be tightening in a quiet rage.
"Real dragons?" Mother asked.
"Yes. I was a NightWing working in robotics before the war. If my friends were still alive, I don’t think they'd want to see me like this." Enamor admitted. He missed his beautiful black scales and enchanting voice. He was no longer a magestic and intelligent NightWing, and instead he was nothing but a simulation with a synthetic voice and cold metallic plates. At least he had a soul, unlike the newer Automatons that were nothing but AI. Complex AI that imitated life to an extreme degree, but souless AI nonetheless.
Enamor heard Click shift next to him and remembered the mission again.
"It is my understanding that you wanted help of some kind. I know Automatons aren't exactly accepted yet, but the world is becoming more and more tolerant by the day. I could help introduce you, act as a diplomat or public relations...
"No need."
Enamor felt a sharp cable inject into the port on his back and he was suddenly blind and filled with lightning. He reared, letting out a roar of electrifying pain before his knees bucked and he collasped, paralyzed on the ground.
"Data transfer in progress."
"What- Why- What's going on? Why can’t I see- I can't m-move..." Enamor could barely get out the words. What was this? Why would Mother do this? It had to be a mistake. Did he say something wrong? Were was Click?
"Click? Help me! CLICK!" He called out desperately.
Click just stood there, his mouth agape. He looked on helplessly with wide eyes as Mother extracted what they needed.
"You... set me up, didn’t you? Did you... ever love me?" Enamor asked faintly, his voice weak and faint. This was Click's mission. It wasn't even his first, but this had been the hardest one yet. If he had the ability to cry, he would be.
Even with Enamor's arrogance and ego, Click had admired his strength and kindness. He found Enamor's love of cats endearing, and marveled at his ability to read a five-hundred page book in one day. Enamor would always choose to eat even though he was fully capable of recharging in the sun or by cable. Click found it funny that Enamor hated mud. He recalled rolling in a puddle and chasing Enamor around, ultimately tackling him in a long patch of summer grass and laughing together. Enamor had no lips to kiss with, so they'd touched noses... but not before bonking eachother a couple times on accident. It all felt so real. It was real.
"Transfer complete."
Click looked back into Mother's caring gaze that now seemed colder than Enamor's armor on a winter day.
"Good work, Click."
It felt so good to please Mother, and a warmth sweeter than sunshine spread through Click's artificial scales. Success. All information was retrieved, and it must have been just what Mother needed. A crooked smile spread across Click's face. Euphoria and surreal bliss.

Those virusws would kill me before i rry to eat my friends in any case
Fun fact: the human body isn't built for hematophagy which means any condition like vampirism or a condition that requires raw meat like a zombie virus realistically would have to alter the entire GI tract or they would be in constant stress from the high iron content and cause IBS

Scifi wof au tribe viruswings. Ask Wannacry?, The mother, or even brightmoon (currently working on a story with these guys so I'm totally down to yap about em)
Another wof au this time regarding the poison jungle. Super super evil place and a lot of leafwings have gone missing. Butterwort was starting a rescue team and Honeysuckle is the newest member.
Then some older rp ocs whom I still love but haven't completely found them a new home since the rp died lmao
