Feel free to ignore ,but if you Clare taking request for Lorraine (Atomic blonde ) / X reader who is sort of like James Bond and they're "dating" meet up in secret in between missions. Reader doesn't get killed like the guy at the beginning of the move . Thanq
I have my ways.
Lorraine Broughton x Reader !Spy!
Warning: fluff-angst, mentioned sex and alcohol
Stroy type: One shot
Anon, thank you for this request! I was thinking of writing about Lorraine but wasn't sure where I should go with the story, but this one is gooooood. I have changed the timeline here. Instead of 1989, our timeline will be 2023.
Tumblr media
Vienna International Airport.
Your motorcycle was parked on the opposite side of the building, waiting for an all to familiar blonde to exit the premises. As soon as you spotted her, you took a couple of images as she entered a cab. The cab stood still for a minute and then drove away. You packed your camera, unhooked your leaning bike, and drove off to follow them.
Not even two minutes passed, and you are already driving beside them. Now the passenger inside doesn't recognize you because of your tinted black helmet. You turn your head to look at her. Bruises and a black eye are what you saw. Probably from her recent mission. You turn back your head in the direction you were driving, speeding ahead, and take a sharp left, leaving the highway.
Lorraine Broughton just finished one of her biggest missions and has requested a time-out for a while. Healing bruises, broken bones, and a black eye would be at its best if she isn't working on another mission. Lorraine felt watched and followed. She had a feeling it could be you or she hoped it was you, but she knew those thoughts were ridiculous.
Lorraine isn't afraid of love but as idiotic as its sounds — she's afraid to lose you, like how she lost her past lovers.
Meeting up secretly before or right after missions were one of the best things she could have suggested. Both of you made each other foget how insane, inhumane and gruesome both of your job is. Sure, the mind-blowing sex and alcohol would be one of the reasons, but just the company of each other made things less painful and lonely.
Now, meeting up secretly is kinda a game for both of you. It's like hide and seek. One of you will probably have to go under radars because of your jobs, so the other one must find the other, and lately, you haven't made it easy for Lorraine to find you. She looked everywhere, and nothing was found, not even a single hair of you. Presuming that she doesn't know you well enough, she would've assumed you were dead, but that's not the case.
She knew the moment she laid eyes on you, you were different. You had these survival instincts in you that you just had to kill anyone who got in your way, so she shouldn't worry about you.
Lorraine has arrived in her hotel. The first thing she did was request two buckets of ice and fill the bathtub with it and water. She emerged herself in the old bath. It stung her skin, but her muscles relaxed, and it helped with the swelling of all her bruises. The alcohol, that's her liquid painkillers. When she had enough, she got out of the bathtub and wrapped the robe around her.
As soon as she got out of the bathroom, someone grabbed her arm, spun her around, and pinned against the wall. She was about to pounce back when a far too familiar voice whispered into her ear.
"It's me. Relax." Your hot breath against her ears made her exhale and relaxed into your touch.
You turned her around to face you, but you still had her pinned against the wall. Faces inches away from each other, you check out her face that was covered with bruises and a black eye. You raise an eye brow at her. She's awfully quiet, not in that she's a talkative person, but her eyes — they weren't as loud as they were before.
"What's wrong? Was it a bad idea to surprise you?" You say and stare into her eyes, waiting for it to light up, to sparkle.
Instead, she looked at you from head to toe. All in black — Black leather jacket, black turtle neck, black jeans, black combat shoes, and a black bandana tied to your jeans, which was new to her.
"You have been following me." She says stone cold.
You loosened your grip on her arm and bounced off the wall to turn to the counter where the vodka you brought for her was sitting. You scooped the remaining ice from the bucket, dropped them in a glass, and poured vodka in. Lorraine just watched you do all that, and you turned handing the stoli on ice you made.
She gladly took it, the rim of the glass was almost touching her lips, when she spoke up.
"How did you find me?" She asked and drank the chilled alcohol.
"I have my ways." You shrugged and turned back to pouring yourself a glass of vodka.
"You sure, always do." She slowly made her way to you, sliding and wrapping her arms around your waist, leaning her head against your back. Inhaling your scent, Lorraine could feel how her mind shuts off and her muscles relaxed.
You let her, it is the first time that both of you didn't think about pleasure and climax but rather just hold each other. You drank your glass empty, placing it back on the counter. You took Lorraine's glass and placed it beside yours.
You turned around in her arms, leaned against the counter, and let her lean against your chest. She didn't protest and snuggled into your neck, exhaling, and you wrapped your arms around her, gently rubbing and petting her.
"I couldn't find you." Lorraine confessed in a whisper, embarrassed for her failure to find you.
"Good. That's the purpose, but you, on the other hand, was easy to locate. I have been watching you. I never knew you had a thing for french ladies." You stopped moving as you felt her stiffen in your arms and her embrace loosened. You smirked and scoffed. You turned around to pour another glass of vodka and dawned it.
"Hm. I should've started with a condolence, but I think that doesn't matter anymore, right? The way you hugged me, it indicates that you've already forgotten about her." You hissed at the taste of the alcohol.
You sighed and sat in one of the armchairs. You stared at Lorraine, who froze in her spot, the wheels in her mind turning wildly.
"Lorraine... Lorraine!" First, you called her softly when she didn't move. You called again, but this time with more power in your voice, which snapped her head towards you.
"Y/N... " Her voice wasn't like any near of the spy Lorraine, you knew. This Lorraine Broughton in front of you is guilty for her actions.
Even in the dark, you could see her eyes full of regret and pain. She just realized what could cost her actions. LaSalle wasn't in her mission. They just stumbled upon each other at the bar, and things got heated that ended up in her bed. She was also mourning the guy before LaSalle and you. You didn't have to know that, she thought.
"The guy who was killed by the KGB. He was one of your past lover, right? Or maybe he was the one, and LaSalle and I were your lovers." But of course, you already knew that. At this point, Lorraine's brain is emotionally melting. It's clear she didn't lose you to death, but because of her actions, she might lose you too or that's what's her brain is saying.
"I don't know if I made it clear in the past when I made you cum all night and you were so fucked that you couldn't even hold a water bottle. I swore I told you I don't like sharing what is mine." You stood up from the armchair and slowly approached Lorraine.
You stopped, right in front of her. Staring down at her, you couldn't help but crack out of your serious demeanor.
"Oh baby. I'm sorry. Did I take too far?" You cupped her face and made her look at you. That's when she realized you were just playing with her and exhaling all the air that was trapped inside her lungs. Even her legs almost gave up that she needed to hold onto you.
"You're such a dick. Unbelievable." She spat back at you.
"You honestly believe that I would be bothered by two dead lovers of yours?" You say, bringing her back into an embrace.
"I don't know. I never know what happens in that sick brain of yours." She says, snuggling back into your neck, leaving open mouth kisses.
"Oh... are we doing that now?... I thought we could talk and catch up on things? No? okay." She stared at you like she's about to throw you against the wall. You picked her up as she wrapped her legs around your waist.
"God, I love you." She says and attacks your lips.
"I love you too." You managed to mumble in between her attacks.

The Life I Never Knew I Wanted: Part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sebastian Stan x reader; Bucky Barnes x reader
Summary: In the midst of battle with Thanos, he sends you away to another reality. More like a whole other universe. There you discover you are in a relationship with the man who portrays the man you have true feelings for. At first all hope seems lost, but after only a month in this new world, life seems to be easier for you than you thought. Something in you hopes that you may never have to return to your old life, but something in you wants to go back to the world you came from.
Square Filled: Free Space @marvelfluffbingo
Warnings: extreme fluff, scared reader, Sebastian being an absolute gem, Sebastian being a good sport, some angst,
Word Count: 3816
A/N: All mistakes are mine. I’m splitting this into 3 parts because it was getting to be almost 25 pages long on it’s own. I hope you guys enjoy the short little series (I feel like a lot of my entries for this fluff bingo have been series. Whoops).
Enjoy!
The next few weeks came and went by quickly. Before we knew it, filming was over. Sebastian said I had done a really good job adjusting to this new life, and way of living. I was thankful for him, and I was happy to hear we weren’t going to be separated. He informed me that he, and the me from this universe, lived together. That really brought my nerves down a lot.
“Are you ready to head home?”
“Yeah. As long as I’m with you, I’m ready for anything.”
He smiles and pulls me in for a quick kiss before we hop in a cab to head to the airport. I was nervous about how long this life would be my reality because I really didn’t want it to end. This life may not be perfect, but it was the pace that I liked. I wasn’t constantly having to be on the alert. That was something I wasn’t used to.
“You okay?” Seb asked me, looking concerned.
“Yeah. I just hope that this never ends. For once in my life I can actually relax, and not have to worry about whether or not we’re safe.”
He smiles, wrapping his arm around my waist, pulling me close, “I’m glad you are able to finally relax.”
I leaned into him as we walked through security. We got through, and headed to our gate. We sat and waited till it was time to board. I was curious if Sebastian really did enjoy my company, or if he was just tolerating me because I had the face of the woman he loved.
He noticed me looking at him questioningly, “are you sure? You look like something is wrong.”
“No. I just have an overactive mind, and I’m a worry wart.”
“You can always tell me anything. You don’t have to be afraid to talk to me.”
“I don’t want you to think that you’ve pushed my boundaries. I just hope that how you feel is real, and not just because I look like the woman you love.”
“I love you for you. Yes you do look like her, but I love you because of you. Not just because you look like her.”
“Seb, why are you so nice to me?”
“Because you’re nice, kind, and so sweet.”
“I should be saying those things about you.”
He chuckled, putting his arm around me, pulling me close. I laid my head on his shoulder, just sitting in silence with him was peaceful. I always felt a sense of calm with him. It was a nice change to things, but I felt like helping Bucky with the monsters of his past really brought us closer, and I believe it’s the reason I developed strong feelings for him.
Sebastian noticed I was lost in thought, and got my attention to make sure I wasn’t overthinking things again, “you okay?”
“Just thinking about the calmness I feel when I’m around you. I never really felt a calm rush over Bucky. Well, not on his own that is. The time we spent on Wakanda together was the closest to peace he ever got.”
“You’re worried about him.”
“A little, but I was thinking about how he and I grew so close. We met in Washington, when HYDRA launched project insight. He saved Steve’s life, and mine. When it came to tracking him down, even before the bombing in Vienna, I was the first person Steve asked to help. He didn’t even ask Sam till later on.”
“Steve knew that you wanted to repay him for saving your life.”
“Yeah. He did, and I wanted to repay him, but instead he saved my life several times. Then, when the big fight with Tony came, I took a shot for Bucky. Saving his life. He got so pissed at me, but that’s how we both ended up in Wakanda. Steve brought us there for us to get fixed. Me physically, and Bucky mentally. I guess you probably knew those things though.”
“I didn’t know about you getting hurt. In our version, Steve sent your character away after Tony started the fight. He couldn’t risk you getting hurt.”
“Maybe Bucky thinks I like Steve, or maybe he thinks Steve likes me, and doesn’t want to take the girl his best friend is crushing on. Sounds childish, but Bucky is a good man, and would do anything for Steve.”
“I know he would do anything for Steve, but maybe, when you get back, talk to him. Something tells me that he will be very appreciative of you, and maybe he feels the same way. You never know until you give it a chance.”
“Thanks Seb. I really hope you’re right.”
“I know I am. I play him. I have to know him in and out.”
“That’s fair I guess.”
He smiled, and pulled me close, kissing the top of my head. I leaned into it, enjoying the comfort he brought me. He was always so gentle with me. I appreciated how patient he was with me, and trying to help me live a normal life in a world without the Avengers. He was doing a really good job with me though, and I really did care for him. As long as he was by my side, I could get used to this life.
He stood up and grabbed my hand as they started to board our flight. I was nervous about going to see the house that Sebastian and I shared. I wasn’t really used to only having one person around. I was used to having a whole group of people living in a place that was meant to be filled with a bunch of people. I mean yes, we did live in the same trailer together while filming, but this was different, this would be sharing a huge kitchen, and a full sized bedroom. I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle it all.
“You okay darling?” Seb asked, looking at my hesitation to give the lady my boarding pass.
“Yeah, just a little nervous is all.”
“A nervous flyer I see? Don’t worry, you are going to be perfectly okay.” She spoke, checking my pass.
“Thanks.” I give a nervous smile, as she hands me back the boarding pass. Seb puts his hand on the small of my back, and walks with me to find our seats.
“Do you want the window, or do you want the middle seat?”
“I’m fine with whatever.”
“If you’re nervous, I can take the window, and you can take the middle.”
“I’m not nervous about flying. I’ve flown many times, you have to remember that I was on board a half destroyed helicarrier that had crashed into a building. I think if I was afraid of flying, I wouldn’t have gone to London, Germany, Siberia, Washington, New York, Sokovia, Wakanda, Edinburgh.”
“Okay, okay. I get it. You have flown to a lot of places. Take the window. I don’t mind sitting in the middle.” He said, gesturing for me to sit down.
I sit down, and get comfortable, “flying isn’t why I’m so nervous.”
“Then what’s going on? You know you can tell me anything.” He spoke softly, and it made me smile wide.
“I’m nervous about living in an actual house with you. I’m so used to home life being so chaotic with at least 10 people living in the same vicinity at a time. So, only having the two of us is going to be a little weird to get used to.”
“I understand that, but I think, just how you’ve adjusted to life here, you’ll adapt quickly, and grow to enjoy it.”
“I know you’re right. I’m so lucky to have you. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t.”
Sebastian smiles, and kisses me softly. I couldn’t get enough of how gentle he was with me, and how he never pushed beyond my boundaries. He was the perfect man inside and out, and I couldn’t ask for anyone more perfect than the man sitting next to me. I grabbed his hand intertwining our fingers together as we waited for our plane to take off. He squeezed my hand gently and kissed my temple.
We sat there waiting for a little bit longer before the flight attendant went over the intercom. She went over the regular flight safety protocol before the captain went on and said we were ready to take off. I put my right hand on top of Seb’s, which was still holding my left. He squeezed a little tighter as the plane’s engine started up.
The flight went smoothly and we finally landed in New York. We gathered our carry-ons, and went to collect our checked bags before finding our ride to Seb’s place. The ride there was peaceful, and it was nice to see the city again. I did attempt to see if I could find the tower like I always do, but I remembered that the Avengers, and the tower, didn’t exist in this world.
I sat back, and fiddled with my fingers till I felt the car pull to a stop. Seb got out, and came to open my door before unlocking his door and letting me in. It was a very nice house, and it was a little bigger than I thought it was going to be. It was a beautiful home though.
“Welcome to my home. You can make yourself at home,” Sebastian said, bringing in our luggage, “I know you said that would be difficult with it just being the two of us compared to the dozens of people you’re used to. I just don’t want you to feel uncomfortable, and not feel like you belong here either.”
“Thanks, Sebastian. It may be a little weird for a while, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it quickly.”
“You’ve seemed to adapt very quickly so far. Come on, I’ll show you to the bedroom. Unless you want your own room for privacy.”
“No, I honestly enjoyed sleeping next to you these last few weeks. That sounded a lot weirder than what I meant.”
Sebastian just chuckled, “I knew what you meant. Alright, right this way.”
He walked down a hall that seemed way longer than I thought. At the very end there was a very nice looking white door with gold accents and trimming. He reached for the handle, opening it to a very nice looking bedroom. Nothing too extravagant. The main color scheme for the room was light grey with hints of black and white.
“It’s so beautiful in here.” I was so fascinated by the bedroom. My bedroom back home wasn’t as aesthetically pleasing as this one was.
“Thank you. Why don’t you get settled in and I’ll make us dinner.” He offered before walking out of the room.
I set my bags down, and began to change into something a little bit more comfy. I wandered the room a little bit to check it out. It wasn’t huge, but it wasn’t small either. I was absolutely in love with the look of it. The color scheme was masterful, and everything looked so elegant.
“Dinner is ready.” Sebastian said, knocking on the door to let me know he was there.
“I’m coming.” I said, smiling at him and following him to the dining room.
We sat down and enjoyed our meal. We didn’t say much, but that was also because I didn’t really know what to say. I wasn’t used to sitting at a big table with just two people. It was usually me, Wanda, Vision, Steve, and Nat eating together. I wasn’t used to just two people. I also wasn’t very good at starting conversations.
“So, how do you feel about doing interviews?” Sebastian asked, seemingly out of nowhere.
“I’m not sure. I mean I have done interviews for the press before when everything happened in D.C., so I’m not unfamiliar with them. What type of interview?” I looked up at him, and noticed he was looking at his phone.
“A press interview to promote the movie. If not, I’ll tell them that you don’t feel comfortable.”
“No, it’s okay. I don’t mind.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want you to feel pressured.”
“Seb, it’s okay. I’ll be fine.”
“Okay. I’ll let them know.”
“Is our relationship public?”
Sebastian looked up at me a little shocked, “no matter how hard we try to hide something, the public always knows. It’s the downside of being in this industry. Eventually, we agreed to come out to the public. We both said it honestly was the best decision we've ever made relationship wise."
I thought hard about what he said. How could the public eye be the best decision ever made for the relationship? Was it because we no longer felt like we were going to say something wrong? Sebastian could tell I was thinking way too hard.
"Were you hoping otherwise?"
"No, no, no. I'm just confused as to how it was the best decision you made for your relationship?"
"She has a lot of friends not in this industry. That meant when we decided to try a relationship, and wanted to keep it from the public, she couldn't tell them. It took a huge toll on her already unstable mental health. Those friends were like her family. Or, should I say, were her family."
"I see. That's actually understandable. So, did her, I mean MY mental health get better after?"
Sebastian chuckled, "sorry, I shouldn't be talking like you two are separate. I mean you are, but you're not at the same time. Yes, your mental health got steadier. Was it 100% no, but neither is mine."
"Is anyone's?" I giggled.
Sebastian chuckled, getting up and grabbing our empty plates. He kissed my forehead before walking over to the sink to clean them. I get up and follow him. I stand next to him not sure what to do or say.
He starts cleaning a plate and looks to me smiling, "wanna help?" He asked kindly.
"How can I?" I was being serious, but hoping he took it as tell me what I can do rather than I can't because he's in the way.
"I clean you dry? Or if a dish looks clean enough, put it in the dishwasher?"
"I can definitely do that."
So we began. It felt nice to do something as normal as doing the dishes. Usually Tony had some fancy invention or gadget that did most of our chores for us. It was mainly F.R.I.D.A.Y. that he had doing chores.
"So,when is our first interview?" I asked, wanting to be prepared.
"Not for a couple weeks. That gives us time to relax some, and get you settled in."
"Maybe time to help me practice."
"Yeah. You'll be fine though, I know it."
"I hope so. What if I mess up though, and call you Bucky?"
"I'll play it off. No one will even notice."
"What if I say something that spoils something?"
"You won't."
"You think so?"
"I know so. You're going to do just fine, and I will be there the whole time."
"Promise?" I hold up my pinky like a little kid.
He smiles and locks his pinky with mine, "I promise." He leans in and pecks my lips with a quick gentle kiss before we go back to doing the dishes.
After we finished the dishes, Sebastian disappeared for a bit. I wandered the apartment for a little bit trying to gather my bearings. I found a door that led to a small room, it was like a study of sorts, but it had shelves just covered in books.
I walked in and picked up a book laying on the bench by the window. I never really had time to read back home, maybe I could start. I wondered if this little room was Sebastian's, I mean could have been more, but I assumed if I didn't have time where I'm from, I wouldn't have time here.
"Y/n?" I heard Sebastian call out.
"In here." How would I have described it? The room with books? The study?
Sebastian walked in smiling, "I figured you'd eventually make your way in here. This is your favorite room in the house."
"I-it is?" I was confused, but I guess it kind of made sense.
"Don't tell me you don't like reading?"
"I haven't really had time to, but the thought of sitting down and mentally escaping to far off lands does sound relaxing."
"Now you're talking like yourself."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You used to say that all the time. Saying it helped you relax and unwind. Take a mental break even for 30 minutes. Just to get your mind away from reality for a while."
"Did it work?"
"From what I could tell, yeah."
"I want to know all that I can about my life here, do you mind teaching me?"
"What I know, of course! I only met you a few years ago though, so I can't really tell you anything other than what I've been told by you."
"Then it's a test for you to see how much you actually listen to me." I giggle trying to be lighthearted.
He smiles more, "come on, let's watch a movie and I can maybe tell you some stories."
"Sounds good to me."
Sebastian leads me to his movie room, and he picks a movie. We sit down and curl up together under a blanket. I tried to stay awake to watch the movie, but the warmth under the blanket, and hearing the sound of his heart beat had me dozing off.
When I woke up the next morning I wasn’t expecting to wake up in bed. It took me a minute to gather my bearings. I rolled over to curl into Sebastian, but I found that his side of the bed was empty. I started wondering if everything that has happened so far has all been a dream, and I am back at the compound.
I get up, throw on a robe, and walk out of the room. As soon as I step out of the room I realise I’m not at the compound. So, where was Seb? I just shrug it off and head to the kitchen to make myself something to eat, or at least make some coffee.
I walked into the kitchen to see there was already a pot of coffee made, and a clean mug sitting on the counter next to a note. I poured myself some coffee before looking at the note.
Went for a run, be back soon.
~Sebastian
I sat down and sipped on my coffee as I waited for Seb to get home. After sitting for almost an hour I decided to go take a shower to get ready for the day. I hoped he wouldn’t be much longer, but you also never know sometimes.
I showered and got dressed, I then decided to go into the little study I found to read a book. I sat down on the window bench, overlooking the city as I began to read. I was surprised Seb was still not home yet, and wondered what could be keeping him. I soon was lost in the book I was reading, and forgot all about where he could be.
I don’t know how long I had been reading for, but when I finally tore my eyes away from the book, the sky started to turn pink. I looked over the clock on the wall and realised it was already almost 6 oclock. I started to worry whether Sebastian was even coming home.
Maybe he was done with me and the fact I’m no longer the girl he fell in love with all those years ago. Maybe he was upset at the fact that I had fallen asleep before he got the chance to tell me stories about my life. Maybe he was heartbroken over the fact that the me he truly loves may never return.
I curled my knees up as I watched out the window in sadness. I was scared and alone in a world I didn’t know, and I had no clue how to handle it. I wanted to be back in the compound with Steve and Nat. I wanted to learn all new tech inventions Stark came up with. I just wanted to be home.
I didn’t even realise I was crying, or that someone was in the room till I felt my chin being lifted. I was met with the beautiful blue eyes I had etched in my brain. They were sad and apologetic. I just curled into him trying to calm my sobs. I didn’t understand why I was so upset, but feeling his arms around me, listening to his heartbeat, it calmed me down pretty quick.
“I’m so sorry I left you alone all day. I got called into a meeting before I even got the chance to go for a run.”
“It’s okay. I-I don’t know what came over me. I think I’m just a little homesick is all.”
Seb wiped the stray tears away and kissed my cheeks gently, “I know. I didn’t help leaving you alone. I should have taken you with me.”
“Seb, it’s okay. I promise. I spent most of the day here, reading. It kept my mind occupied most of the day, up until 10 minutes ago that is.”
“That makes me feel a little bit better. Did you at least eat in between?”
Whoops. That was something I forgot was a thing, “no. I was so occupied with reading and getting dressed this morning I skipped breakfast.”
“I’ll make us dinner, and I can tell you what we can expect for the interviews. How does that sound?” He gave a small unsure smile.
I smiled warmly at him, “that sounds perfect. You can also tell me those stories while we eat. The stories you were going to tell me last night before I fell asleep on you.” I said, sounding shy towards the end of my sentence.
He just chuckles, kissing my cheek before reassuring me it was fine. “Of course. Now come on, whatever you want for dinner, I’ll make it for you.”
Seb told me exactly what to expect, and he told me he would be in the interviews with me in case I needed help. As we sat down to eat he started telling me stories of my life before he met me, and before I came to this reality. It was interesting to hear how my life varied from the one I lived in my reality. It gave me a look into a life I never thought I’d see, and it made me appreciate this reality a bit more.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It took months to save up enough money. You only needed enough to get two one-way tickets to Germany, but you were scared to take out too much in fears of James finding out. In that time, your oldest sister, Lucille, had twin boys. She had 5 sons altogether now, and you couldn’t wait to see her again. You hadn’t spoken to her since she was married and taken away years ago; Anne seemed to be the person who was doing all the communicating for you all. The second oldest, Vienna, had 3 daughters before she finally had her son. Her husband refused to give up until he had an “heir.” Anne had only 3 children, two boys and a girl. All the names to your nieces and nephews were a mystery, along with their faces and ages. You could guess Lucille’s twins’ ages were less than a year, but you could never be sure. Anne knew you had your son, but she didn’t know his name. She never asked, and she told you not to tell her. You weren’t sure if your other sisters knew, but it would only be a matter of time before they did.
Bucky had turned 1 years old a month prior to you both leaving. James threw a small party at a local amusement park that he had rented out for the entire day. His friends and family were the only in attendance, as usual, and the older kids enjoyed the rides while Bucky smiled at all his guests and messed his face with icing from his safari cake. James had been so happy to plan the party; balloon animals, a small petting zoo, and face painting areas all decorated the park. You couldn’t deny the way he beamed at Bucky as he screamed in affection at the baby goat drinking from the bottle or the way he giggled at the stuffed rabbit James’ friend, Natasha, had gifted him. James wasn’t loving with you, but you were thankful it didn’t carry over to Bucky. You wished yours and James’ situation was different. Maybe you’d love him in different lights.
When James thought you were buying groceries one day, you went out to get you and Bucky’s passport and buy your tickets. The passports would be ready and shipped to your house in 5 weeks, you paid an extra fee to get the expedition processing, and our flight would be the following week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“See ya tonight, bud.” James caressed Bucky’s head while speaking to the pouting toddler. Bucky was always upset to see his daddy leave for work, and overjoyed when he came back. Your heart clenched. Were you doing the right thing? Then James turned to you and you shook the thought away. Of course you were.
“Have a good day, dear. We’ll miss you,” You chirped as you kissed James on the cheek. He turned his mouth up in a small smile before kissing you on the lips.
“Can’t wait to get back.” He winked at you and your stomach turned at his crud intentions. You were nothing but a walking toy for him, something to cook him food and bear his children. You faked a smile before dipping into the house while James drove off.
You shut the door and quickly walked upstairs, your cab would be here in an hour. Plenty of time to pack. You set Bucky in his playpen and he looked at you as you frantically moved around yours and James’ shared room trying to throw useful items into the suitcase you brought to the house the day you moved in.
“Da-da,” Bucky cooed from the pen as he picked up a block to start stacking.
“Da-da went to work, baby. Now you and mommy are going to go on a trip,” You turned to your son and smiled at him, “Are you excited?” You talked in your baby voice and your son smiled back at you. His 3 teeth on full display for you.
Your suitcase was filled with as many clothes as you saw fit. Everyone had specific items to bring, and your job was the clothes. Anne and Lucille would bring baby supplies, diapers, sippy cups, toys, etc; Vienna shared your job. The plan was to pack light, anything other than what you absolutely needed had to be left--including photos, and then drain your husband’s bank account for money. Finding out James’ banking information was the hardest thing for you to do, he kept it all locked in a safe in a room that was always locked. After snooping on him one night after he thought you were asleep, you were surprised to see the combination was the day of your marriage.
As you were leaving the bedroom, you saw Bucky’s baby book. It wasn’t big, and you could fit it in your purse. There were millions of photos on the walls, but none of them were personal to you. They were high tech and flashy photos James had spent too much money on. None of them looked natural. Then again, you had never felt natural with him. But that book held photos you had captured with an old polaroid you found in the basement.  The film was just as old, but there was enough to last you years. You grabbed it and stuffed it into your purse as the Taxi started honking. You picked Bucky up from his playpen and left. You would just have to deal with Anne’s complaining when you got to Germany.
The taxi dropped you off at the airport 45 minutes before you were supposed to board. You rolled your suitcase over to the bank that was next door, and entered with Bucky on your hip. James listed you as an account holder in the case of an emergency. You were positive he hadn’t seen anything wrong with this, you’d still need to know his information, and he probably thought he had broken you beyond the point of willing yourself to run. Little did he know.
“Good morning, I’d like to withdraw some funds from my husband’s account,” You said to the older woman with a blonde bob and bright red lipstick. She smiled and set the glasses hanging around her neck on her nose before turning to the screen ahead of her.
“Alright, name please.” You told her and she typed a few times. “And his?” She looked at you, and you noticed a bit of lipstick in her teeth.
“James Buchanan Barnes.” The woman nodded and typed away.
“Da-da,” Bucky yelled and you looked down at him with a smile.
“That’s right, honey, that’s daddy’s name.” Bucky smiled up at you before grabbing at your hair to play with.
“Oh, he’s a cutie,” The older woman exclaimed, “Can he have a lollipop?” She reached into a brown bowel on the counter separating the two of you before pulling out a blue sucker.
“I don’t see why not. Thank you.” You took the blue lollipop before turning to Bucky who was eyeing the candy with intensity. “What do you say?”
“Tank to!” You unwrapped the lollipop before handing it to Bucky. He grabbed it with his chunky hand before greedily sucking on it, already getting a blue sticky streak on his mouth.
You turned your attention back to the blonde, and she asked you for your name and bank information. You gave it to her as she continued to type away at her computer. “Alright, can you tell me the amount you’d like to withdraw today?”
You cleared your throat before answering, “All of it.”
The woman’s eyes got big. “Ma’am, there’s 2 million dollars in here. Can you give a reason?”
“Yes ma’am.” You adjusted Bucky on your hip as you tried to remember your lie. “My husband, James, was recently in a horrible accident at his job. I understand the hospital can take the money from the account, but they’ve given me the option to give it to them in person as well. I was on my way to catch a flight to him, and decided this was a route I’d like to take. Our insurance wouldn’t inflate because they wouldn’t have to pay anything, too, and now that we have this little one,” You lifted your hip that carried Bucky a bit higher, “I want our insurance as good as possible. We never know, you know?”
The blonde looked as if she were about to cry. “Oh, you poor thing! Yes, of course I understand completely. I have 2 daughters, and when their father got sick our insurance and healthcare went completely down the drain. I wish I could’ve had the money you have, I know it can be terrifying to have bad policies when raising children. Especially young ones.” You were nodding your head, trying to look pitiful. You felt bad for lying, especially to this woman. She looked so bad for you and was able to relate to your fake story. Your stomach flipped, and you felt like you were going to be sick.
“Thank you, I’m sorry about your husband. It’s a horrible situation that some of us are put in.”
The woman agreed and typed on the computer again. A register was opened and she counted out taped together stacks of money. She put them in a cream colored bag along with a receipt and handed it to you.
“I hope everything goes okay for you and your little one. Us moms have to stay strong and do what’s best.”
You held back tears at the woman’s words. “That we do.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You made your way back to the airport as Bucky babbled a song from a show you both watch together. The bank teller, who’s name you learned to be Camille, informed you that your husband would be emailed by the bank about the deposit due to legal protocol. You knew James checks his email religiously and that he got notifications on his phone. You knew that he was probably on a phone call with the bank right now, screaming into the phone. But you didn’t care.
By the time he figured out you’d left, you’d be in Germany. Or close to it. You planned on destroying your trail once you got there. Anne had planned it all out. She deleted her history and told you to destroy all your letters by burning them. She led her husband to believe you all had traveled to Greece with undeleted searches. It would throw all of them off for a bit, but eventually you knew they’d figure out you went to Germany. You all knew that you couldn’t stay together after a while, it’d be too risky. You knew at some point one of you might get caught, and the rest would have to save themselves. You were fugitives, trapped in your own homes, with men that were supposed to provide security as the guards. But, until then, you’d stick together as long as possible. You were stronger as a team during the weaker parts of the beginning.
As you boarded the plane you felt a wave of nausea hit you. You rushed to the plane bathroom with Bucky still in your arms. You threw the door open, and emptied your stomach into the toilet bowl.
“Uh oh,” Bucky said, making you laugh at his purity.
“It’s okay, honey, mommy’s just a little nervous,” You reassured your son. You flushed and washed your hands before stepping out of the cramped room to find your seat. The plane took off soon after that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were jerked awake as a flight attendant tapped your shoulder, her brown hair pulled tight into a low bun.
“Sorry to wake you, ma’am,” She had a smooth voice that you felt could put you right back to sleep, “But you’ve arrived at your destination.”
“Okay, thank you.” She smiled at you before standing up straight to move to the back of the plane to wake up other passengers. Bucky was asleep in your arms, and you planned to keep him that way. He had been good throughout the entire flight, but you weren’t surprised. He was such an easy baby, you couldn’t have been blessed with a better one. Especially not in your circumstances.
You got off the plane and went in search of your suitcase in the bag return. You quickly found it before you headed out of the crowded airport. Bucky was quick to wake up after hearing the commotion of the early Wednesday morning traffic. Taxi drivers were yelling in German and English to the people exiting the airport, offering them a ride for a “price they couldn’t get elsewhere.” You would’ve taken the offer, but knew that you had to wait for the bus. Anne had said it’d be easier to hide that way. The taxi driver would ask for a direct address while the bus would drop you off at another station. Miles from your true destination. Plus the bus driver was less likely to remember you.
Your stomach growled as Bucky bounced in your lap. You had eaten on the plane, but had vomited nearly everything up. Your stomach wasn’t agreeing with anything today, but you knew it was just the guilt and nerves you felt. Everything would go back to normal once you were with your sisters, and plus they would have something good for you to have at the house.
The bus smelled and was cramped with loud people on their way to work. They spoke words you couldn’t comprehend loudly in your ear, and Bucky sat amazed at them. When your stop came, you eagerly grabbed your suitcase, bag, and son and all but jumped off the bus, glad to be rid of it for now. You followed a path Anne described in great detail until you came to houses with numbers. You dragged your tired body along them until you found the number that had played in your head for the past few days. Number 39. Your new home
You climbed the three steps up to the brown, wooden door, and grasped the iron knuckle. You pulled it up and down several times emitting loud thuds to echo in the small community of homes. Bucky grasped the front of your chest and stuck his face into it to represent his hunger.
“I know, baby, mommy will feed you soon.”
Your heart beat loudly in your chest as you waited for an answer. You counted 23 seconds before you considered your possible mistake. Did you go down the wrong street? Was 39 the house number or was it the bus number you were supposed to take? Was there any way to contact your sisters? Could you somehow convince James that you had been kidnapped in hopes he’d believe you? Just then the door creaked open. Your worries came to a halt as you saw Vienna standing in the doorway. She had, of course, aged a bit since the last time you saw her. Her hair was shorter and a little bit dull in color and she was skinnier than the chubby teenager you were used to, but there was no denying that was her.
“Oh my God, Vienna?” Her droopy tired eyes held tears as she took you in. Her lip trembled and she whispered your name. She opened the door wider as she held out her arms to you. “It’s been so long!”
You held her tighter to you with the arm that didn’t hold Bucky. She pulled away from you as tears escaped from her eyes. Your own were starting to conjugate in yours. Vienna stepped aside so you could step into the small house. She took a peek outside before shutting and locking the door behind you.
“Where’s everyone else,” You asked, setting your bags down at last.
Vienna didn’t have to answer as you heard your name being called behind you. You turned and adjusted Bucky into your other arm as you see Lucille stepping out of a room. Her back is a bit hunched over and one of her eyes seemed to lazily shut now. Gray hair was sprinkled across her scalp, and wrinkles were setting under her eyes. She was only 36.
“Look at you, you’ve grown so much,” She exclaimed, stepping closer to you. You were only 1 when she was married off at 16. She was the youngest one wed, but she was also the prettiest. Your father had no problem finding a man to sell her to. She was the only one auctioned off before 18. Vienna left at 19 and Anne left at 22. None of you were as strong as Anne, she had held on the longest. You had left at 18, too.
You hugged her tightly. You never got to know her, but you still loved her deeply. You hated the cards you all had been dealt for keeping you apart for so long. You let go as Vienna stepped closer to you both. She rubber Bucky’s small back.
“And who is this little guy?” She smiled down at him as he gave a 3 tooth grin back.
You sniffed before handing Bucky to your sister. “This is Bucky. My one and only.” Vienna mimicked the name before bouncing him on her hip a bit.
“Well, Bucky, I think it’s time for you to meet your aunts and cousins.”
Lucille took your hand as Vienna carried Bucky into a room filled with kids and a crib with two babies sleeping. They all were watching a TV, but turned to you as you walked in.
“Kids, come meet your 4th aunt,” Vienna said as she cooed at Bucky. 3 girls and a boy walked over to you and Lucille. “That’s Jade,” Vienna pointed to the girl with dutch braids, “Josephine,” The one with big curls and floral dress, “June,” The one with a ponytail and a sports jersey, “and Jared,” The only boy. They all waved to you, all looking a bit uncomfortable. You didn’t blame them, they had traveled from God knows where to a weird house, and now they were meeting people they had never met before. Probably never even heard of. “And this is your other cousin, Bucky.” Josephine, she looked to be the oldest-- probably 13, smiled at the child.
“Oh, he’s so cute! Can I hold him?” She looked to her mom for confirmation before looking at you. Her big eyes soft, just like her mother’s.
“Yeah, of course. He’s hungry, do you want to feed him?” Her eyes lit up.
“Yes!” You chuckled at her enthusiasm, and she gave a shy smile once realizing how excited she sounded.
“He can eat crushed up fruit, do you guys have any?” Your eyes searched Vienna and Lucille.
“In the kitchen. I can go do it for you,” The girl replied, scooping up your son before moving through a door that led into, what you assumed to be, a kitchen.
“We left just in time,” Vienna said, “Her father had already found a man to marry her. She’s sweet, and I know she’d make a great mom one day, but she’s also so smart. She has a life to live before she should even think about a baby,” She sighed, “But of course, women in our situation don’t hold any other value.”
Vienna’s children had gone back to watching the TV, and Lucille called her children up.
“Boys, come here please.” 3 boys walked over to you. “This is my oldest, Tennessee,” The boy with dusty hair nodded to you, he looked about 16, “Then Anthony,” the one with curly hair and glasses, “And Kyle,” He had freckles and a dimple on his chin. Lucille pointed to the crib. “Over there are Michael and Ian, they’re 3 months old. Didn’t think I had it in me, but I guess it’s not over until the big change, huh?” You smiled at her as she squeezed your hand.
“It’s nice to meet everyone,” You say and they nod at you, taking their seat on the floor and couch yet again. There were still 3 kids that were taking steady glances at you, and you were about to ask about them when you heard your name yet again. You turn to the left to see Anne walking down the stairs.
“Anne!” You ran over to embrace your sister. You and her had by far had the strongest relationship, being closer in age and spending the most time together. You felt yourself crying once again. Anne broke the hug and held you at arms length, looking you over.
“Wow,” She breathed out as tears flowed freely. She looked exactly the same as she did 7 years prior. You giggled at her and she joined you. A little girl, no older than two, ran to hug her legs. “This little stinker,” Anne said lifting the girl up, “Is my youngest Brooke.” She kissed the girl’s cheek before waving the last 2 boys over. “That’s George,” The oldest one with shoulder length hair, “And Evan.” He looked exactly like your father. Had the same lifted left eyebrow and everything. Anne looked like the man she hated the most, and you knew she’d never be rid of the man who she blamed all her sorrows on. Especially not now that her son looked like him, but you knew she’d never neglect her child.
Josephine was walking out of the kitchen while wiping Bucky’s hands. You grabbed your sister’s hand and led her over to your son.
“And this is Bucky.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the tear filled reunion, you found yourself at a small dinner table with your sisters. They were all huddled around it as your nieces and nephews sat in front of the tv and had dinner. They giggled at the silent screen that flashed cartoons at them. Bucky lay asleep in Anne’s arms as she bounced him.
“Alright,” Anne whispered loud enough for just you all to hear, “So, does everyone know the plan?” You all nodded. Anne had planned this all out. Every time something was needed outside of the house, somebody different each time would leave to retrieve it. It would go in rotation from oldest to youngest. You would carry a burner phone with you and would only use it if there was an emergency. The phone would have one number on it, the house phone, that another sister would be right by until the other one returned back safely.
After dinner, you helped Vienna clean up. You both had insisted Anne and Lucille get some rest, saying they had gotten there the earliest and were tired. Anne took Bucky to the room you, her, Bucky, Brooke, and June would sleep in. The house only had 3 bedrooms, and 5 people would have to bunk in the small bedrooms with only one king size bed together. It would be a squeeze, but it was all definitely better than the Hell you all had escaped.
While cleaning, you found yourself not being able to focus on the story Vienna was telling you. Your stomach was turning, fighting the peas and chicken you had just ate, and your head was suddenly hurting. You were sweating too. Were you having a panic attack?
“You okay, sis?” Before you could answer, you were vomiting up your dinner into the sink. Vienna soothingly rubbed your back as you finished off the remnants. You turned on the faucet to wash away the mush.
“I’m s-sorry. I guess I’m a little scared still?” Vienna looked at you and gave a knowing smile before resting her hand on your shoulder.
“How far along are you?”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The day had been a shitty one. James was in the middle of an important business pitch with Sam Wilson, a promising company from Louisiana that he wanted to partner with, when his assistant rushed in. He tried to order her out, but when he heard “money” and “gone” he had to apologize and excuse himself. After seeing the bank’s email, and hearing the voicemail they left his assistant after she called them, he rescheduled his meeting with Sam, explaining vaguely what was happening.
James believed someone had stolen your information in order to rob him blind. He didn’t think you would do that, what reason would you have? Name anything on this Earth and James would have it in your hands the very next day. He was clutching the steering wheel with a vice-like grip that was turning his knuckles white. When James got home, he looked on terrified at how it was left. He called your name out while he ran around looking for you and Bucky. Once he found it empty, he started dialing 911. You both were missing.
James was tapping his foot waiting for the operator when he saw it. The picture album that you begged him for when you first found out you were pregnant. It was gone.
The metal hand clutching the phone crushed right as he heard the female voice on the other side greet James. You and Bucky weren’t kidnapped, you had run away.
James went downstairs to call his friends, Steve and Natasha. He was going to need their help tracking down his bratty wife. She was smart, he’d give her that, but she’d have to try a lot harder if she wanted to get away from an ex super soldier.

Day 5: Five places I want to visit
Personally, the idea of going places sounds very tiring. I am the person to stay home for days, in Bandung and London, with the necessity of going out is motivated by looking for food or groceries. I have already checked some cities off my bucket list i.e. Barcelona, Vienna, Hallstatt, and Prague, along with living in London. I learnt the hard way that I like travelling with a small group. Food must come first and though I ate some traditional dishes in strange land, I enjoyed those nights when I have to only eat a big portion of pasta and tuna.
1. New York
The idea of putting my earphone on and roaming on New York City streets has been really captivating since I was a kid. NYC is the epitome of contrast, a mature city where the American Dream concept was built, exploited, and criticised. It is the conjuncture of traffic flows, blocks of skyscrapers, coffee carts, deli, and an immense melting pot where everyone is supposed to be welcome. It is also home to Broadway and several baseball and football teams. When I go there, I want to reprise having breakfast on the boardwalk just outside the Tiffany’s, taking a walk in Central Park, sitting for a while at the steps of The Met (and of course visiting the bunch of museums), hailing a cab and crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, and ordering turkey or pastrami sandwich at Zabar’s. I bet wandering around the streets in between the activities feels really great. I also want to explore The Hamptons, the upstate like Albany and Ithaca, and of course the Niagara Falls. I want to feel the streams of people in Grand Central Station, JFK airport, and of course, Times Square. I cannot wait to do those all.
2. Paris
One might be so stupid and never sets a foot in this city. This city is so close from London; only three-hours train trip from St. Pancras. Marwa has also asked me to go there with her, telling me that the metro smells of piss and the overall the city is not quite clean. Nicholas even asked me in which arrondissement I was at where in fact I struggle to work on my dissertation with no electrical outlet in South Bank. I might be avoiding the crowds around the Eiffel, as one of my friends got his wallet stolen, though definitely I will climb the hill towards Sacré-Cœur. I would also sit on a bench and read some books, and head for a cup of coffee in a nearby restaurant. Ladurée’s macaron is a must. Lots of typical European cities’ landmark (not you, the UK, you have same buildings spread across the country), but one thing I really look forward to is watching the sunset from the bridge and having cheese, bread, and not wine. An Education style.
3. Santorini
It was quite depressing that I miss the visa requirements and had to cancel the prepaid Greece and Italy trip. But the hills of white buildings with blue rooftops overlooking the blue sea and what was the victorious city-state’s area are really enthralling. I’m sure I will be hopping on donkey and climbing the hills, stopping by and taking pictures, all in t-shirts and shorts, then eating moussaka. I will also enjoy both sunrise and sunset, and now I’m still regretting why I did have to miss the visa.
4. Tibet
It was just an impulse when suddenly I searched for Tibet on Youtube and stumbled upon Mark Wiens’ channel. He explores Lhasa and starts climbing the stairs of Potala Palace. He also walks around Jokhang temple where the people are really focused on praying. Lhasa has no traffic light, where the polices waving signs to car to stop or to proceed. Then he stops for the foods, which is mainly spicy and consists of yak meat. The black tea is salty and the butter tea is sweet. The dimsum has bread texture, while I prefer the thin layered ones. Then he goes to upper highlands where there are several sacred lake looking blue and really clear. He visits his guide’s family and gets served with classic Tibetan dishes, with of course the teas. He tells that the air is really thin and he doesn’t walk in rush to avoid dizziness. The warmth across the high altitude seems contradicting, but it is real.
5. Morocco
I was also supposed to go to this country during the winter of 2018 but some accidents happened. I have been wanting to roam across shops selling silver lamps. I also want to feel alive on the brink of Sahara desert, enjoying sunset on the back of camel, and having the wind twirling on my skin. Marrakesh is in the list, but Chefchaouen is definitely otherworldly. Marwa told me that she had a nice breakfast in the rooftop of her hotel, with a full view of the city. The foods are spicy, yet I really look forward to tasting tagine and having a sip of mint tea afterwards.

  Hey. I have always been kind of sentimental and had hard time throwing out stuff. Over the years I managed to stock bunch of useless stuff with great emotional value to me even though my young age. I put all of my material memories up on my wall into my memory collage and here I’m about to give you a sneak peek of memories I’m most fond of.
There is this letter my dear friend Elizabeth wrote me when I was around 5 years old. I used to live in USA from age 2-5 in Highland park NJ with my fathers colleague from work and his family. They had 2 daughters Elizabeth few years older than me and Claudia few years younger. When my youngest sister was born we moved back to Slovakia for good and as there was no Facebook back then all me and my american friends had were this cute letters.
Underneath the letter is taxi number of a cab me and my friends drove on our goodbye dormitory night. I used to live at all girls dormitory for 4 years and there were plenty of strict rules, we couldn’t go out late, we had to keep our room clean, turn of the lights at 10pm and many others that made breaking rules even more fun. On our last year all of the other girls prepared this cute cultural program, they danced, recited, sang and made us dinner as a goodbye to our time at dorm. At this evening we had free pass or night out – meaning we could stay out late all night ( but we still had to go to school the next day)  so me and my girlfriends went to disco and drove this cab in the morning so I saved the card for the memories.
I saved my flying tickets from 2 years ago when I returned back to America for summer. Me and my cousins drove to Vienna , flew to London a from there to Newark airport. All of the tickets are up on my wall and if you want to read about my america travel experiences feel free to check out some of the articles I wrote.
I saved the baby bottle made out of paper with my name on it that I got on my first day on my high school dorm from older students as a welcome gift. We had this big party where we had to play bunch of embarrassing games as newbies to sort of see what is students life really like. I saved the pharmacist bottle with my name on it that I got from younger students as a goodbye gift on my last day at school – graduated pharmacist assistant.
On my first birthday after I moved to Czech republic my parents send me flowers and champagne to my new university dorm as a birthday surprise and I kept the card they send me. I remember this old delivery guy knocking on my door with huge bouquet of roses and champagne in other hand looking for miss Natalia. I got so freaked out cuz night before me and my friends spend the night out as most of first year university students do – drinking. I had some blank spaces in my memory from previous night and I got so scared I hooked up with this old men and now he’s bringing me flowers. Thank god he was just a delivery guy.
I kept my red cross membership card I had for 4 years. I kept my rehabilitation access card I used to write all my rehab terms on as a reminder of really terrible times I went through.
I kept the coach pass card me and my firs university roommate got and pretended to be cheerleader coaches for czech cheerleaders championships. Her mum was actually a coach and gave us the tickets for free.
I kept all of the maps and pocket guides from my USA trip. I also kept Dresden map we were all receiving in a bus of our christmas trip to Dresden –  I actually went on a same trip 2 times but I only kept one map.
When I was in Washington D.C.me and my cousins went to Holocaust museum.
All of the tourists were receiving this identification card of one jewish person who died in holocaust and their story. As we travel through museums floor we would find out how and why person in our card died.
Mine was a girl named Julie she was polish and she got caught and killed after she gave food to jewish children she met on the street.
I kept so many tickets from almost every country I ever visited. I kept ticked from tour Montparnasse in Paris from New years even in Paris and also the ticket to Eifel tower. I kept ticket from Venice Campanile di San Marco from when me and my girlfriend made a weekend trip to Italy. I kept subway ticket from Vienna when me and my friend went to Christmas markets there. I kept subway ticket even from Prague when I was firstly visiting with my friends as we went to paramore (our favourite band) concert almost 6 years ago. Who knew I would be moving to live in Prague soon. I kept ticket from wax museum Grevin in Prague and also from wax museum Madame Tussaud in London. I kept ticket from my firs live hockey game I watched. I kept ticket from Wildwoods water park from 2 years ago. I kept cinema tickets and I even kept waiting number I got at police station from when I was picking up my driver’s license.
I kept a guitar pick I caught at a rock concert in my hometown from band called Guano apes. I kept a ribbon from my prom night and also small piece of broken glass from same night ( but that just can’t go on a wall).
There is so many more stuff I just keep in my drawer and when I feel like it I just go through it all and relive it all. I always assumed I would forget those memories by now but when I hold each item I can clearly see the day  got them and how I got to own them.
I’m just 22 years old and I already store bunch of “craps from my past” so I guess I will need much bigger drawer or bigger wall in a years to come.
I just love keeping the memories alive.
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for your attention
xo Natalia

We are stardust (10)
Summary: Your favorite place on New York is a small coffee shop, what happens when one day you bump into a mysterious goth god and he keeps coming just to see you?
Pairing: Bucky Barnes X Reader
Word Count: 1780
Warnings: Language and all that shit. I cried writing this, so thats a warning.
A/N: This is really the end. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support and love this fic is having. I am very self-conscious with my art and in general, and you liking this as you are is really helping me, a lot. I hope you stick around for the next works I have in mind and thank you for coping with my angst. Please, the songs that I mention are kind of important to understand what they are feeling, so I’ll link you.
From Bucky’s POV: Come back when you can (first song mentioned)
From Y/N’s POV: Ocean (last song mentioned)
Tumblr media
The cab drove through the streets of New York, while you were fighting with yourself. Head over heart. Staying or leaving. You did believe him, you knew he was sincere and it was Dot’s doing, but you were tired of the situation, of her. You loved her with all your heart and soul, you gave her everything you could offer and she just hurt you at the end. You couldn’t stop thinking about her all the way to the airport, and you were actually glad you did, because thinking about your friends and Bucky was way too more painful. A part of you wished to really forget about everything and just go back to his arms, but you needed time and space. You knew you loved him, with a pure and raw love, with no flaws, no regrets, but sometimes love wasn’t enough. You needed to let go of your past and forgive yourself for what you did, you needed to move on from Dolores. You had at least half hour more to arrive, so you plugged in your sound cancelling headphones and pushed the shuffle option. When the first seconds of the song played, you couldn’t believe your atrocious luck, but then you understood why it wasn’t that bad. You and Bucky made a collaborative playlist on Spotify, it seemed to be a really long time ago, and the last song was added right after your meeting at the coffee shop. His audacity made you giggle, but tears were streaming down your face when the lyrics hit you.
Please take your time
But you've got to know that
I am taking sight
Oh, you look good
With your patient face and wandering eye
Don't hold this war inside.
He really was the person you wanted to be with the rest of your life, and maybe it was too fast to think that way, but you couldn’t control that. Maybe if you left, you wouldn’t see him anymore, maybe he would forget about you. Maybe, after all, you were not meant to be together.
You left your home
You're so far from
Everything you know
Your big dream is
Crashing down and out your door
Wake up and dream once more.
You looked out the window, feeling like a complete mess, and honestly, you felt like the protagonist of a sad indie music video. It was raining outside, the teardrops fighting against each other, the ones who arrived first won, the others were just banished as they merged into one single drop. You pressed your warm hand to the window, feeling the coldness of your home, saying goodbye for a while to everything you’d built here.
Come back when you can
Let go, you'll understand
You've done nothing at all to make me love you less
So come back when you can
Come back, I'll help you stand
Let go and hold my hand
If all you wanted was me, I'd give you nothing less
So come back when you can.
When the song ended, you were a crying mess. You leaned into the window, and drift off into a dreamless sleep.
“Excuse me, ma’am. We’re here.” A female voice woke you up. You blinked and smiled at her, embarrassed because you had fallen asleep.
“I’m so sorry. I’m sure I’ve been the worst client of the day.” You said, laughing softly. She shot you a huge smile and clicked her tongue jokingly.
“Hey girl, you’ve actually been the best. An hour without mansplaining about my own job and harassment? Sign me the fuck up.” You laughed and for a second, she made you forget why you were at the airport.
“Actually, can I get your number? I’ll be coming back possibly on a month, and it would be an honor to be your break time hour.” She laughed again, and gave you her number. You paid her and got off the car, and before you could turn around and leave, she grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you into a hug. At first, you were confused, but you realized your whole body was screaming for a comforting touch.
“Whatever it is you’re going through, I’m sure you’ll overcome it. Give yourself time and self care, and everything will make sense again.”
“Thank you so much, I really needed this. By the way, I’m Y/n.”
“I’m Megara, but you can call me Meg or whenever you want to.” She winked at you, got in the taxi, and left.
You sighed and entered the building, ready to leave everything behind for a while. You can do this. After checking in and passing the security checkpoint, you sat in a starbucks to have a coffee while you waited to board. You were scrolling through your twitter timeline when someone called you. It was an unknown number, so you took the call.
“Hello?” Someone gulped at the other side, and a shiver ran down your spine. Please, don’t be you.
“I know you don’t want to talk to me, so just listen to what I have to say.” You fixed your glasses and pinched the bridge of your nose.
“Go on, Dot.” You said, actually relieved that it was her and not Bucky or the girls.
“I want to apologize. For everything. For all the lies, the broken promises, for Bucky...I know you may not believe this, but I did what I did for love. I still love you Y/n, and I know I will for a long time. But this is not about me, not anymore. I just wanted James and you to break up, but after seeing how miserable you both were and how you looked at each other…” She sniffed and cleared her throat. You knew Dot very well, and she was not the type of person to open up out of the blue, so she really must have felt bad. “I really don’t expect you to forgive me nor I’m asking you to. I saw James after you left, and he told me you were leaving somewhere. He is so heartbroken and it’s all my fault.” Her voice trembled and she started crying, soft sobs escaping her lips. “I’m so sorry I brought so much pain to the two of you. Have a good life and be happy, Y/n.” A single tear fell from your eyes after she ended the call, and you wiped it off before it fell to the table. You’ve cried enough. You stood up and made your way towards the boarding gate.
You took your phone, opened the spotify app and added a song to Bucky’s playlist, then you opened your contact list and texted him.
Y/n: I believe you, sorry I ever doubted you. But I have to do this. I have to get away from the toxicity that poisoned me these past three weeks. I hope you understand and please, take care of yourself. I hope we can fix this in the future or at least be friends. I’ll block and delete your number after sending this text. I will miss you and remember that I will always adore you.
FIVE MONTHS LATER
“Girls, I’m going to work a little bit. I’ll be at the coffee shop! Love you.” You shouted to the apartment before closing the door behind you. It was good to be back. You made your way towards your still special place on earth, your bag full of your drawing materials and your laptop. You were wearing your favorite mom jeans, with high top converse and Bucky’s NASA sweatshirt, stolen a long time ago. You missed him everyday, but you couldn’t find the courage to tell him you were back.
You spent a couple of weeks at your brother’s house, but you were slowly killing yourself. You hated your hometown and its people, you weren’t on speaking terms with your family and you had no friends left there. So after those weeks, you booked the cheapest flight you found and ended up living for five months in between Vienna and Bucharest, with just the bare minimum. You worked as a waitress and also had time to draw and write. You had always wanted to do travel journals, so that’s what you did. Every weekend, you visited new cities and countries. You wrote almost three journals. You missed New York with all your heart, and the worst days always were after you skyped with the girls, you really missed them. Marie was a Literature professor in the NYU, Wanda left her shitty job and opened her own library and Nat became the CEO of the New York Times. Meg and you hit it off quite fast, she even came to visit you for a couple of days, and after a goodbye kiss and a promise to still be friends, you realized you were still in love with Bucky.
You ordered your regular Earl Grey tea and sat at your spot, feeling happy and content with your life. After a few hours, the small bell from the door rang, making people gasp, cough, clear their throats or fall into complete silence. You frowned, unaware of what was going on and then you turned around, your whole world falling into your feets. There he was, standing in the middle of the shop, staring at you like you were a ghost.
You stood up and made your way towards him, his eyes widening at the sight of you. You looked beautiful, as always, but there was something different in you. Your hair was shorter, and you gained the weight you’d lost all those months ago, your cheeks had their pinkish color and your eyes were full of joy. Is she real? He thought, not quite believing he finally was seeing you after all this time. You were now mere inches away, your chests almost pressing together, and before you could open your mouth, you were pulled into his arms. Your body responded immediately, screaming at you that you were finally home. You pushed away, placing your hands carefully on his strong chest and looked at him straight into his eyes.
“I’ve been waiting to tell you since the first day I saw you, that I love you, James Buchanan Barnes.” He smiled, his cheeks reddening and his eyes tearing up.
“I love you so much, Y/n, words could never make justice to all these feelings.”
He pulled you closer once more, tilting his head and kissing you. All the shop burst into claps and cries of joy, even from Susan.
You started laughing and so did Bucky, you held his hands in yours and went to sit on your spot. Like nothing ever changed.
You both were finally home.
