The makers of Student of the Year two have released the first song from the film -- a version of the Kishore Kumar number Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. The Randhir Kapoor-Jaya Bhaduri nee Bachchan song's variant was picturised on Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria, Tiger Shroff and Aditya Seal as part of the performance in a college contest. The lead cast can be seen grooving to the dance amount.  The version was written by music director duo Vishal-Shekhar and choreographed by Remo D'Souza. Even though Kishore's vocals are kept from the original, Vishal Dadlani have contributed added lyrics.  Talking about why he chose to reprise the tune, director Punit Malhotra told DNA in a meeting,"We had this circumstance, of a dancing contest and were wondering what kind of track to pick for this. The first Student Of The Year (2012) had Disco Deewane (a recreated version of Nazia and Zoheb Hassan's 1981 chartbuster). We chose to take on an old tune. The situation in this film is similar. That is why we thought it was best to maintain the good luck "  He added,"The way Tiger dances is amazing. Aditya, Tara and ananya also have performed nicely, making it a good competition number. In Notebook tune Nai Lagda, this film - Pranutan and Zaheer Iqbal's stars - kindly express their love for one another from the Kashmir that is scenic. In Notebook, Pranutan plays Firdaus was called by with a school teacher and afterward chooses marriage within the career she loves. Following Pranutan, Kabir (Zaheer Iqbal) get named as the instructor of the faculty, where he finds an old laptop of Pranutan and after going through it, he eventually falls in love with her (although he never sees her). Kabir learns therefore and that Firdaus is getting married, he confesses his feelings on a notebook, which she later finds at the same school to Firdaus. She does not locate Kabir there, although going by trailer, it seems that Firdaus returns to the school.  The video for "Nai Lagda" brilliantly captures the beauty of the Kashmir valley, the placing of the film's story. Juxtaposing shots the song stands out for its music.  The song's camera function is its stage. Using soft focus, close-ups along with a grey tone, it provides a feeling of melancholy and isolation.
