Winter, Year 7: Cade
Weaving is the latest craze.  The family bought two looms and the girls enjoy spending time using them.
Tumblr media
Claudia and Errol pay a night time visit to the family.  The ghosts on my noble lots have been pretty peaceful.  I think it helps that their houses are on foundations.  The ghosts pop in to see how things are going and then head back outside.
Tumblr media
Aldric grows up into a broken child outfit.  I like the edgy choice, but I have to send him to change.  I also need to sort out my default replacements.
Tumblr media
Navin waits just a little too long to eat the soup.
Tumblr media
He’s stuck in the cramped kitchen and no one can reach him to plead for his life.  :( R.I.P. Navin.  He was so close to achieving his want of reaching the top of his career too.  :(
Navin Langerak is survived by his wife of 38 sim days, Erin Cade, his parents Lakshmi (Venkat Gray) Langerak and Dickson (Robin Zaidi) Bransfield.  He and Erin had five children: Evan (Sabrina), Leila (Colette), Aisha (Samira), Yasmin (Samson), and Amira, and four grandchildren: Isabelle, Everett, Augustus, and Aldric.  He is also survived by many half-siblings.
Tumblr media
It’s time for Yasmin to give birth.
Tumblr media
It’s a baby girl named Victoria.
Tumblr media
Leila and Colette are really cute dancing together.
Tumblr media
All of that physical activity must have induced labor.  Leila also gives birth to a baby girl.
Tumblr media
I’m not sure if Leila is too thrilled with the baby or maybe it was the name I originally gave her.  I wasn’t sure about it either. I wanted to give her a name that sounded similar to Navin.  We ended up settling on the name Naomi.
Tumblr media
I didn’t know that the mother who didn’t give birth could breastfeed.  The science behind same-sex vampire pregnancy is iffy at best.  Colette feeds their daughter while Leila looks after her niece.
Tumblr media
Erin is thrilled to have two new granddaughters to dote on.
Tumblr media
Ah!  Aldric!  Go inside before you check your report card, kid!  Hurry!
Vampires need a lot of supervision.
Tumblr media
Yasmin is done with university this season and is a regular adult.  (Not that it matters too much since vampires don’t age.)  She finished with a 1.3 in Philosophy.
I’m going to have to adjust my “rules” for playing vampires to account for their immortality.  One thing I decided to do is lower the fertility of vampires so they don’t end up with an excessive amount of children.  It also makes sense that being undead would impact their fertility, but I didn’t want to make them totally sterile.  I think I ended up dropping the pregnancy odds for Yasmin, Colette, and Leila to about 5 or 10%.  In Colette and Leila’s case they would need a fertility potion or outside intervention to get pregnant with each other at all.  I’ll have to remember to do that for all the vampires, like I didn’t think to change the odds for Gabriel or Count Ray.
